Guest Reviews
- Duane (10/5): - Amazing!!!
Great Location!!!
Helpful and Friendly Staff!!!
They made our trip So much Better than we hoped!!!
Thank You!!!
- Deimante (10/5): - The staff were very welcoming from start to finish. We received a message before we arrived with details on how to find the apartment and any other info we needed prior to arising. Vatican City is less than a 10 minute walk (could see the basilica from our window), and all other main attractions about a 40 minute walk or 30 min bus journey, however we found that the walk was very lovely and allowed for extra sight seeing, so we only ended up taking the bus 1-2 times (bus stop is very close too).
There is also an array of convenience shops, souvenir shops, restaurants, cafes and dessert spots dotted around, all of which were delicious and had great staff.
Would 1000% recommend staying here during your visit to Rome, could not find a single fault with our stay as the staff were super accommodating and flexible, and the location was very convenient. We also felt super safe as 2 girls staying together as the entry to the apartment had several locks.
- pamela (10/5): - Excellent Location and excellent property and service.
- Gary (8/5): - I traveled by myself and the room and bath were all that I needed so the “suites” were perfect for my needs. Martina helped me out with another booking and was friendly and helpful.
- Maria (8/5): - Near to San Pietro Railways Station with frequent services and end line of two popular buses No 64 and 62 with frequent departures to travel and visit the Historic central area of Rome.
Walkable distance to St Petere's square and Basilica and the Vatican Museum and State.
Very clean and accommodating staff. Would recommend and would repeat the experience.
- Valérie (10/5): - The place was clean and very nice. We had a cute balcony with a view on the Basilica. Very close to Vatican and a taxi stand. We loved it. Thanks for The owners help also along our trip !
- Julien (10/5): - Nice
- Jacques (10/5): - Great clean place, warm welcome from Martina, well located. Definitely a place to return to.
- William (10/5): Spacious room with comfortable bed - Charming room, spacious, bathroom updated- bed comfy! Near Vatican City. Very detailed instructions for self checkin. Many small cafes nearby for breakfast or dinner. Quiet neighborhood.
- Brian (10/5): - Amazing location and super helpful staff! Would recommend to all!
- K (8/5): - Neat space . Will definitely recommend
- Era (10/5): Great stay. Service is amazing. - Really liked the stay. Luca was very helpful, the hotel is located a bit far from the main attractions except the Vatican.
The local transport in Rome is really bad and you can’t trust the bus / train timings.
- Joanne (8/5): - It was a good location and convenient to the train station. Excellent restaurants in the area. The elevator was out of order and we were on the fourth floor. It made it difficult to get all of our luggage down when checking out. It was self check in so there wasn’t anyone available when we needed more towels. But overall, we enjoyed our stay and our room was beautiful.
- Hasan (10/5): - The place location is amazing. Very close to Vatican.
The room and bathroom are very clean.
The Owner is very helpful.
- Ana (10/5): - Excellent location and extremely clean.
- Frederick (10/5): Fantastic Place To Stay - I found the San Pietro Suites a fantastic place to stay. The hotel was spotlessly clean and kept that way by the daily cleaning. It was very quiet and peaceful. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The location was excellent- it is only yards away from the 64 bus, the train station and the taxi rank. I would be happy to recommend it to others and would be happy to return.
- Verified traveler (2/5): BED BUGS, DIRTY, NOISY - AVOID !!! - Worst experience of our trip. Room was filthy, had BED BUGS. There are only a few rooms at this place, which are right off reception area that was always noisy with people coming and going and slamming doors. Got locked out twice due to a VERY old stubborn door at the street entrance. (three difficult old doors to go through to get into reception!)
The two millennials running this place are inept and rude.THEY clean the room (no professional housekeepers / cleaners). Slimy residue all over bathroom vanity. Glasses were dirty, one even had a long hair in it.
Book at your own peril.
NOT WORTH IT - such a terrible property - AVOID.
- James (10/5): Great place to stay! - This place was excellent. Clean, great location to Vatican, great service...I would highly recommend this place for anyone going to Rome. The room I had, did have a little balcony that gives a good view of the Vatican and how close it is.
- Jonathan (10/5): - Love this place. Very modern feel for a european hotel. Very spacious and very close to the vatican. May be a bit out of the way for the other sites but it’s very close to bus number 62. So if you get tired from walking just take the bus and it’s 120 meters away.
The restaurants around the area have amazing food and are open late. I sugges you eat around the area before going to avoid the tourist trap price of the other dining options in downtown rome
- Patricia (10/5): - Not fancy, but spotlessly clean and secure.
- Elisabeth (8/5): - San Pietro Suites has the look of an older building with charm, however, the bedrooms are modern and very comfortable.
Loved that we could walk up the street to the Vatican.
The staff (Luca) especially was the best!!
- Thya (10/5): - There are so many things that I enjoyed about this lovely little guesthouse it is difficult to know where to begin. First and foremost the hosts were exemplary in their communications - providing, clear, safe instructions for accessing the property - even in their absence. Every detail was considered in the room and bath. Great location for easy access to the Vatican and public transportation to go elsewhere in the city. I highly recommend this lovely spot.
- Rhonda (10/5): - It was a very nice room and the staff was excellent
- Alencia (10/5): - This is a beautiful place it looks exactly like the photos even better! I was able to easily access my room upon check in, the apartment is also very close to the train and tax stand. I would highly recommend staying here.
- Duane (8/5): - The property was very close to St Peter's Basilica
- Celeste (10/5): - The place was very clean and quiet, and Martina and Luca are incredibly nice and helpful.
- Elsa (10/5): - Very close to Vatican. Nice breakfast. Very clean.
- Erica (10/5): - Very nice, clean room with a wonderful view. Martina was a wonderful host and very knowledgeable . Check in was quick and easy. The breakfast was delicious and loved the restaurant food and staff that was recommended for lunch and dinner. Thank you for making our trip to Rome excellent !
- Shobha (10/5): Excellent place - This is an excellent place; starting from check-in to check out, everything was perfect! The young man and woman at the front desk were very friendly and polite. check in instructions was clear and accurate. They were very kind and accommodated our request for early check. The place is a 10-12 min walk to the Basilica and Vatican Museum. Lots of restuarants within a 5 min walk. Our room was very clean and made up everyday. Breakfast coupons were given for a cafe nearby. We didn't need parking but there is a secure car parking 3 buildings down the road. We would definitely stay here again!
- Marina (10/5): - The breakfast was on time and delicious 😋
- Hector (10/5): Highly Recommend San Pietro Suites - Loved the location in a neighborhood, close to good restaurants and to the entrance to the Vatican….an easy walk. Also, convenient to bus stops. Very private accommodations……well appointed…..friendly hostess who was very helpful with information. Will be my go-to place when I’m in Rome again……also, great value!
- Linda (10/5): Great location & accommodations! - A wonderful room close to Vatican City. A coffee maker in the room made great coffee. Breakfast is delivered right to the room. The communication was wonderful providing directions for a late check in and the owners helped us get a taxi back to the airport. We highly recommend staying here. If we return to Rome we will definitely rebook.
- Vishal (10/5): Cozy, comfortable and great breakfast! - This place was so comforting, the room was clean and cozy, bathrooms were clean and service was excellent. Location is right near the Vatican, less than ten minute walk. Plenty of great food in the area and right behind the Roma S Pietro train station which made travel very easy. Breakfast was amazing, best croissants we had during our stay in Italy!
- Rebecca (10/5): - Really great location and a lovely room. Bed is huge and comfortable- more than enough space for two people. Very nice shower and bathroom. Balcony has a beautiful view. The breakfast is European but really useful to have before a day out. Was very easy to get in and out. We would advise taking a train from behind the suites to Trastevere- only one euro and less than five minutes. We also visited Monte Carlo pizzeria as per the recommendation card provided for us - a really authentic hidden gem right in the tourist centre- really grateful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The place is wonderful and their stuff very kindest
- Renata (10/5): - Great location, it was close to Vatican and center of Rome.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was a good pleasant stay. Their customer service was excellent! Very prompt and amazing communication
- Verified traveler (10/5): - All around amazing experience. The rooms are spotless clean and the room was newly remodeled with new bedding. They provided Heater worked well in the winter. The host/owner gave us a free bottle of wine too - how nice! Great value for the money. Location was excellent as well, about 10-15 mins walking distance from the Vatican. There were also many great restaurants nearby
- John (10/5): - Our stay was great on all accounts. The staff are fabulous and the rooms are great. Would stay there again. Location is perfect for visiting the area!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent location to get around by train, close to restaurants but they all close at 10pm. the rooms are comfortable and very clean and over the whole room and bathroom are remodeled.
- Kaylin (10/5): Incredible two-night stay - I had an amazing experience during my two-night stay at the San Pietro Suites. The suites are located down the street from the entrance to Vatican City, and my room had an incredible view of St. Peter's Basilica Dome. There was a woman (shoulder length brown hair) who worked there who checked me out, brought me breakfast, and cleaned the room who was amazing throughout my stay. As well as Max (the owner) who assisted me with the check-in process. The room was clean and had one of the most comfortable mattresses I’ve ever slept on. Staying at SPS was really convenient due to its proximity to Vatican City (7-minute walk) and the train station on the other side of the building (2-minute walk), which made it easy to travel to and from the airport. I would highly recommend staying here during your next trip to Rome.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good location, big room with a balcony, walking distance to Vatican
- Verified traveler (10/5): - LOVE this sweet little room! Can hear the bells of the Vatican Sunday morning. Staff is wonderful and excellent breakfast selection. Highly recommend!
- Jacklyn (10/5): Will be returning! - It was a wonderful experience. Very clean, modern, the staff was very friendly and helpful during our first time in Rome.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property is conveniently located to the Vatican and St. Pietre Station. We appreciated that our rooms were very clean and comfortable. Barbara and Max provided exceptional service to ensure we enjoyed our stay.
- ChrisH (10/5): - This property is several hundred yards from St Peters/The Vatican, Fifty yards from Bus 64 Bus Stop (THE cross town Central Rome bus line), Fifty yards from a great 24/7 Grocery Market with great selection of breads, meats, cheeses and fruits and 50 yards from San Pietro Train Station which gives easy access to anywhere in Rome Metro area (Ostia Antica for those in the know). We could not have been happier with this choice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Although it's a challenging place to access I thought it was a great place to stay. The room and bath were clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. They brought a wonderful continental breakfast to the room. The owner came to my rescue as I missed their check-in deadline of 1:30 pm. Expedia stated they closed reception at 2 pm. Max was very nice to come back and let me in as I couldn't get internet service to see their e-mail with after hr instructions.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property was clean and the staff was attentive and kind
- Christian (10/5): Best Vatican City/Rome stay ever!!! - Great staff, beautiful room w/espresso machine and artistic breakfast that was very pleasent to enjoy in our room. Max was awesome welcoming us and I missed the ladies name but she was sweet and put together our beautiful breakfast that looked out of a magazine😎💯
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This was a very nice property in a very good location. It is a short walk to Vatican city and easy walk to other parts of Rome.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nicely located near Vatican City and only a short walk across the River to Rome. Big bed, bathroom, and fridge plus the breakfast in the morning was delivered right to your room. Staff and Mgmt. were great and flexible with any request.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing location and stay
They made our check in very easy
- Mike (10/5): - The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The room was fantastic. Very well kept and comfortable.
- April (10/5): The host is very nice and the staff are friendly! - Tour to Rome
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing stay experience. Highly recommend. Met all expectations.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - excellent location, very clean, very nice staff. They bring breakfast in the room and the guest chooses from a list what they want to eat
- Verified traveler (10/5): - San Pietro Suites was the perfect place to stay during our short trip to Rome. The location is perfect, especially if you are planning to visit the Vatican, but overall accessible to all of the main attractions as well. The building is located right across from the San Pietro train station and there is one bus that runs directly from there to Plaza Venezia which puts you in walking distance to a lot of the main sites. Max, Barbara and Marco were all so nice and accomdating and provided a ton of local knowledge to help us get around and to make the most of our trip. The rooms were clean and well stocked. Overall, a great place to stay in Rome!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The bus and train stations are 2 mins away walking, Vatican City is close by. The staff is awesome, breakfast is amazing.
Didnt like that the hair dryer didnt work and sometimes cleanness wasn't 100%.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean comfortable and staff was very helpful. Close to the sights
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I don’t like outside of streets is a lot trash and dirty 😔
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location was close to st. Peters. Did not like old elevator going to third floor.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The owner Max and assistant Barbara were AMAZING and so helpful! The room was modern - clean - great bathroom - and air conditioning was wonderful (we were there during very high temperatures)! Breakfast was delightful with plenty to eat. Location was perfect! EVERYTHING was GREAT and exceeded expectations! THANK YOU for a Wonderful first visit to Rome.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I strongly recommend this property. Great location, right next to the Vatican. They also provide different touristic services - you can book directly with them. The owner is extremely responsive and helpful. I was able to text him on different occasions with different questions - this is beyond any service you would get at any hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very good, perfect spot 👏👏👏......................,.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was very close to the Vatican and good restaurants. They will bend over backwards to help you.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Was easy to find, VERY clean GREAT service EXCELLENT communication. I will stay there again
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location was spot on 5 minutes from the Vatican property could not fault perfect trains, bus 30 seconds away a 100 minute bus tram metro ticket €1.5 hop on hop off
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The building is pretty old that’s the only issue, not good for someone in a wheelchair. Other than that, everything else was honestly excellent. The check in process was quick. Max the owner checked on us even before we arrive. The room was super cute, clean and comfortable. The walk to St. Peter’s square was approximately 10 mins. Totally recommend this place and I know I would definitely stay there next time I’m in Rome
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very helpful management, friendly staff - and individual breakfast served to your room is excellent.
- CADENCE (10/5): - Owner was responsive to questions. Rooms were clean.
Accessibility was great and location was great. Transportation arrangements were completed to our satisfaction and without any trouble.
- Joe (10/5): - Very clean and super close to the vatican. Older building from the outside but completely refurbished and remodeled inside.
- Eduardo (10/5): - We stayed for one night and everything was excellent: check-in, room, bathroom, service (breskfast was great and delivered to the room) and location. Next time in Rome, I will look to book again at San Pietro Suites.
- Lisa (10/5): - Owner was welcoming and gave detail instructions on checking in
- Christopher (10/5): Extremely Helpful! - Great location! Easy walking distance to everything. The entire staff was extremely helpful. They gave us a map of the area and went out of their way to store our luggage. I definitely recommend this hotel!
- Marie (8/5): Great for quick stay, easy - We stayed overnight on a weekend getaway, our room was clean and comfortable, staff present for part of the day but not for late afternoons/ evenings. 3 blocks from St Peters Basilica, great ships and restaurants all in walking distance!
- Winnipegger (10/5): - Breakfast delivered to your room. Newly renovated room and bathroom.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great boutique hotel with convenient location close to Vatican City
- Alana (10/5): Incrivel - Lugar incrivel, vista incrivel e facil acesso ao metro e ônibus. Super receptivo e ótimo cafe da manhã
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place to stay - Great location. Irene was a perfect host, happy and informative. Room clean and tidy, better than expected for the price. Bathroom and facilties were marvellous. Breakfast was included and just right before walking around Rome. I would definitely stay there again. Ten stars!
Alan & Pauleen
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We had a great stay here. The room was lovely and the staff was wonderful. Max answered any questions we had and responded to emails very quickly. Breakfast was served on time by a smiling and courteous face, Irene. It was simple and tasty. We had an early flight on the day of checkout and breakfast was packed for us to-go. We reserved the pick-up service and Massimo, our driver, was on-time and friendly. The hotel is within walking distance to the Vatican area and other main attractions. We highly recommend this hotel and will stay again the next time we’re in Rome!
- ritsuko (10/5): Charming place close to Vatican and station - Perfect location! just around the corner from the station and easy walking distance to Vatican. The hotel building is historic and charming, with original vintage style elevator. The front desk lady gave us nice suggestions and information and brought us some breakfast to our room. Quiet comfortable room.
- Igor (10/5): A place to stay, if you’re in Rome! - Great location and place, definitely would recommend!
- Rollie (10/5): - Quiet part of town, close to public transportation and Vatican City.
- FirsttimeinRome (8/5): - Hotel located on the 3rd floor of the building. Situated just south of Vatican City. Very friendly and helpful reception and check-in. Irene was a pleasure to deal with...accommodating and informative. Room was very clean and comfortable. No problems. Felt very secure. Bathroom was smaller than North American standards, but modern and adequately appointed. Room looked exactly as shown in online photos. Queen size bed was comfortable, with crisp, fresh linens. Microwave would have been nice. Not sure if we could have had one if we'd asked, but we never got around to asking. In-room safe was only about 5 x 9 ins. Couldn't hold a computer. Breakfast offered was mainly coffee, tea, juice, muffin, cake, croissant, toast, no meat, cheese or eggs, etc. Fine to start you on your day until you could get food outside. We opted to purchase breakfast items from the fair size grocery store about 5 mins away and make our own in the room. No stove, washer or dryer, since it's a hotel room, not an apartment. Very small, old fashioned elevator, but works fine. Seven or eight steps to get up to elevator level. Train station and bus 1 min away. Bus 64 takes you to most of the sights in the area. 1, 2, or 3 day train and bus passes available to purchase at the train station ticket counter and self-service machines. Don't forget to validate these tickets at the machines in the station when you're ready to start using them for the first time, to avoid penalties if conductor checks your ticket.
- Paul (10/5): - Very clean, updated property, friendly staff, great A/C. Hotel was difficult to find, not well marked. Very near train and bus station, not close to activity center of Rome.
- Ariel (10/5): Highly Recommended! - San Pietro Suites is a small, cozy and clean hotel located a short walk from the Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica. Close to several metro and bus stations, on a quiet street in Rome. The team was wonderful, super friendly, and available to communicate at any time of day for whatever I needed; they even helped me to arrange transportation to and from the airport. Daily breakfast was delicious and delivered to the room on time every morning. Couldn't have asked for a better stay during my first trip to Italy!
- Michael (10/5): San Pietro Suites - - Amazing location
- Very clean and modern rooms
- friendly and helpful staff, even gave us a list of recommendations for bars, restaurants etc
- Arranged a taxi to pick us up from the airport for arriving and to take us back for our departure. Massimo was the nicest taxi driver, gave us his own little history guide and would take a route just to show us places we hadn't seen, and arrived well on time
- Brought breakfast to our room every morning, great variety
- Kept our bags for us even though we had to check the our Monday morning. We collected Monday night before our flight which was very helpful
- Overall, although this accommodation is very reasonably priced, this can sometimes mean less than average, however San Pietro Suites was amazing and I'd highly recommend for anyone to stay if visiting Rome. Ciao
- Donna (10/5): Your home in Rome - Just perfect! The room and facilities were very clean and comfortable. Nice and quiet. Excellent service - very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great! Their ecommended airport transportation company was excellent too - safe and clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Eager to help you any way that they can. Small quaint bed and breakfast one mile from the Vatican
- claudia (10/5): Nice room and breakfast room - Everything was great about the b&b!! The room is very nice and lots of space!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely rooms in Rome - Clean, modern, quiet, comfortable rooms a few blocks from the Vatican. Essentially a low-key B&B staffed during the day. Great receptionist, Silvia!
- Marwan (8/5): Great !! - Overall it was great, next to Vatican, helpful staff, clean room!
- Sonya (6/5): Pretty room but somehow underwhelming - It was overall good. Can't complain too much. The bed was almost too soft. There was a stain that looked like blood on the comforter. The bathroom light was positioned with the bulb out and was super bright, went to move it and burned myself on how hot the fixtures was. The breakfast looked nice but nothing tasted very good. Surrounding neighborhood wasn't comfortable to walk at night but actual hotel is secured well by outside gate, door and bedroom door.
- Raduta (10/5): I recomend. it was great. - great stay. thank you
- Erin (10/5): Great location, great room! - Right across the street from the train station to Civitavecchia and just a short walk to the Vatican.
- Janie (10/5): Nice Boutique Hotel - Very clean and staff was friendly and welcoming.
- Gavin (10/5): Perfect place to stay - Great place to stay Really close to the Vatican city.
Room was great, really nice decor, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and really helpful. Could not ask for a better place to stay or for better hosts.
- Anthony (10/5): Hidden gem. Superb. - Had a lovely time in Rome. Excellent stay at San Pietro Suites. Very clean & very helpfully staff. Location couldn't be much better, 10 walk to Vatican & bus sto pay under the corner to get to all the other attractions.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location. Very friendly staff. Very accommodating. Really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely return.
- Tin Oi (10/5): Everything is Great, but responsiveness.... - The location is very friendly. It is just next to the train station and about 5 minutes walk to Vatican City. Once the booking was confirmed, I received a very detailed instruction for entering the suites (trusted me, it is very important to check the email, or you will need to spend so much time finding the entrance on your own).
The room is very cozy, one very nice full bed and one coffee machine (but I didn't use it, so no comment). Be careful, I am not sure if every room has the same layout, but the room I stayed is with a stair. Entrance is the 1st level, the bed is on level 0, and the bathroom is on the 2nd level. Even there is night-light, for disability it might not be very convenient.
Staff is nice and responsible. Every time I went back, the room was well-cleaned. Only problem, email reply is not very responsive, may take about one day to get it. So, if you have urgent stuff, making a call would be the best option.
