Hiked through field of flowers to Alia. Historic old town with a restaurant that served SUPERB pasta and pizza. Great place to slow down and enjoy the peaceful countryside. No complaints.

- Deborah (9/5): Relaxing with amazing views and delicious home cooking - Absolutely beautiful surroundings a nice quiet atmosphere with beautiful views Met a wonderful gentleman named Lucky, where they milk, the cows and make the cheese He was a wonderful representation of Villa Dafne as he’s been there for 20 years working the production of the most fabulous cheese You must visit him The meals were superb…!!!! Everything is absolutely wonderful. Our only concern was the lack of proper AC in our room
- Robert (1/5): I was very disappointed with booking.com and having this on their list of suggested places from now - The food at this location was very good in fact was excellent. The grounds outside were very clean and the swimming area was good. The room was an outright disgrace there wasn't a chair you couldn't get in the bed on one side because the buttered a stairway, the bed itself was falling apart as we got in the bed the sheets would dirty and the bathroom toilet was an absolute disgrace look like a dog had been in there period the shower stall couldn't be used because of the opening at the drain in the toilet itself ran all night long even after we complained about it period there was only one plug in the room it was difficult to get to because it was behind the bed.. the window when the Rome was difficult to open and once open no screen no protective insulation to stop flies from coming through so the room had to be closed and the air conditioner wasn't working properly . The roommate her list of the top 10 worst rooms have ever seen

Wir konnten den Pool mit den Kindern nutzen und das war sehr schön und sauber. Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Essen war sehr gut, auch die Hofführung durch den Eigentümer des Landwirten war sehr schön und transparent. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

- Clare (10/5): Lovely Mediterranean place to stay & eat overlooking lovely Sicilian countryside - Lovely facility felt like we were in a Mediterranean resort! The grounds are lovely to walk around wish we had more time there it would have been nice to see the farm & have Sunday supper! There are also products made by the farm on sale too. The cheese that was part of the breakfast was so fresh! The honey was so good too and it would have been nice to bring some of that home but didn't have the capacity to bring that with us. Rooms had a separate entrance with a table & chairs set up outside to relax on. Just a lovely place can't wait to go back another time! Nothing all was just wonderful!

- Peter (9/5): Relaxing, enjoyable, epicurean. - Villa Dafne was just what we were looking for, with a rural location but within a couple of hours drive of most of the main tourist spots with much to see on the way. The country side around was a pleasure to walk in and the nearby town of Alia was entrancing and the people relaxed and friendly. The food is fantastic, from the breakfast buffet to dinner. Unfortunately the heating for the rooms was US so it was a little cold during the evening, however when it became apparent that a repair couldn't be effected as promised we were provide with an electric heater for the room so really little to complain about.

Il personale è molto disponibile, in particolar modo la proprietaria che ci ha consentito di permanere in struttura anche dopo l'orario di check-out potendo così fruire della piscina. La villa è una struttura rustica immersa nel verde e le camere sono pulite e semplici nell'arredo. Per il ricevimento il cibo è stato più che abbondante e molti dei prodotti erano a chilometro zero. Consigliato a chi cerca un po di relax lontano dalla città.

- Alexander (8/5): Genuinely an agritourism hotel. - It's genuinely an agritourism hotel. It's a little off the beaten path, but you can breathe in the tranquillity. The food at the restaurant is excellent. They are self-providers because they have a prominent farmer with high-quality products. The entire staff is very friendly! It's worth a visit again! A visit to the farm is a must; the owner explains the dairy and cheese-making process very well. Probably it's a bit remote.

- Teri (3/5): Nice grounds but too noisy and we wouldn’t stay here again - I would never stay here again. The staff are lovely but this holiday was booked so we could relax and I chose it because of the remote location. Monday to Friday it’s relatively peaceful although the rooms are not designed well and you hear everything which disturbed our sleep, but Friday to Sunday it seems every selfish, overly loud, Sicilian version of trailer park trash visits the area and stays at Villa Dafne! The pool area becomes like a cheap water park with people shouting loudly across to each other (normal volume of conversation is very difficult for these guests apparently!) kids running around screaming and crying whilst the parents sit and do nothing except smoke cigarettes and put them out in the surrounding soil & flowers. We moved once because of the stomping and banging from the room above and then in the next room it was even worse. People scraping chairs on their balconies and banging the wooden doors to their terraces (instead of lifting the chairs or closing the doors quietly late at night and early morning!) We were stuck between three Sicilian families whose kids were literally standing outside opening then banging wooden terrace doors, each family screaming over to each other rather than go to the room and speak normally, they seemed oblivious to the fact I was sat outside trying to read my book and at past midnight that other guests wanted to sleep! I complained to the reception girl who claimed she would talk to them and ensure when they returned after dinner & their night out that they’d be more respectful. Of course that didn’t happen and they returned at 11.30pm and all sat outside their room scraping chairs, talking loudly and laughing with zero respect. The hotel doesn’t look after international guests like me who had paid a lot for a ten day stay, they care more about their local guests paying for one or two nights only. The food is nice but portions are too big & a waste, also the menu gets boring after a few nights! There should be night staff on hand if only for guests’ security, also signs up reminding people to be quiet at night and early mornings and to be considerate towards other guests. Staff leave at 11pm and if you did need help - tough luck! The menu for lunch should be different to the dinner one. Breakfast should include more hot food not just dry pastries with flies on them or cereal and they should have orange juice prepped not ask guests to stand there cutting up and juicing their own oranges, we are on holiday!! Upstairs rooms should have carpet or big rugs to help noise travelling to guests underneath. The pool umbrellas by the sun beds are flimsy and broke before falling on guests which is very dangerous! The hotel has no areas like a nice lobby with sofas where you could relax when it gets too hot even in the shade outside. Two ratty old sofas with beige cheap covers next to reception doesn’t cut it. The lighting in the dining hall is too bright, there’s no background music at dinner & the whole experience is like sitting in a motorway cafe (which are actually higher standard to be honest!) at night, turn down main lights, put candles on the tables, play some Italian jazz through the speakers and make it more welcoming. The air conditioning is Jon existent inside so it’s not comfortable at all. Put insect screens on windows to avoid the swarms of flies in bedrooms and stop allowing people visiting for parties to take up guests parking! The hotel should not be priced as it is. We stayed away for a night at Relais Abbrazia Santa Anastasia in Castelbuono - it was exquisite and a similar price to Villa Dafne yet a million times better & more professional. I’d encourage people to stay there instead.

- Juergen (10/5): Exceptional - My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Villa Dafne and really enjoyed the friendly and helpful people there. The breakfast was good and we really loved the dinners we had. Fresh ingredients from their own farm and from local suppliers. Villa Dafne is right in the middle of it all with a whole bunch of historical, cultural, gastronomical and touristic spots to be reached in a good hour by car. Quiet and a wonderful setting with a lot of places to sit and enjoy the beautiful Sicilian landscape. We definitely will return!

Fresh and very tasty especially the proper fresh Italian pasta and local meats. The rooms are clean. The place is quiet and relaxing. The tour to the farm is very nice. The view from the terraced and the pool are great. Staff are very welcoming and take care of the customers. - Robert (10/5): Unforgettable farm stay in Sicily. A perfect spot in central Sicily to unwind. - We stayed in many hotels during our Sicily trip and this one was truly unforgettable. A beautiful farm setting overlooking rolling hills and farmland. The pool was outstanding. The charm of this hotel is the farm-to-table meal. Every part of that was memorable. Portions were oversized and price was reasonable. Everything was fresh and delicious as it all came from the farm. The tour of the cheese factory and the farm's history by one of the owners was magnificent. There isn't much around the farm to do, but it is a perfect place to unwind if you are between cities and want to experience something different. It was our last day in Sicily and could not have been more magical. If it is a really hot day, the air conditioner might be a problem but the night was very cool. It isn't your fanciest room, but I wasn't expecting that, given we were going for a farm setting.

- Gaetano (9/5): Wonderful agriturismo on a wonderful island - Great food and probably the best breakfast selection I've ever experienced. Fantastic meals at lunch and dinner too mainly using home grown ingredients. This is a destination venue as most Sicilian tourist venues are at least an hour's drive away.

- Norman (8/5): - The restaurant on site was fabulous! This place is located in the middle of the hill towns of Sicily so having your own car is a must.
- Rick (8/5): Overall positive. - Location was beautiful and relaxing. Staff very attentive. Restaurant service was slow even though the staff seeming to working hard and moving quickly. Breakfast provided many good options, like sliced veal from the farm.
- Shannon (8/5): - The property itself is very nice but in need of some maintenance work. Broken areas on the ground. The pool was nice but needs heating as well. The best party was the dinner entertainment they were wonderful.

- Harald (8/5): - We hebben een goed verblijf gehad. Het eten is er goed maar de porties zijn eigenlijk te groot. Speciale dank aan Luana, een top serveerster. Helaas hadden we de pech om een kamer te hebben naast een Italiaanse familie. Deze waren wel erg enthousiast en waren tot laat in de avond aan het apenkooien in de slaapkamer, erg irritant.
