If you get a room for less than 70$ in that place, then it is ok for the night. But paying more than 100$ and getting what we got, it wasn't worth it

• Kenneth (4/5): - Sign says 250 channels and DVD players, no power chord for the TV box. Was told I would have to hook up a laptop or something else through the HDMI. HDMI chord is too short to plug anything in, and you can't have the TV plugged in unless you unplug the power bar for the mini fridge, lamp or anything you may want to plug in. They shut the water off over night so I couldn't flush the toilet or wash my hands.

The hot water did not work at all even after waiting 20 plus minutes for it to warm up. The tv was a lovely decoration for the as no channels worked. The ac did not work in tbe room and the room had a terrible smell to it.

Door did not lock behind me when I needed to return to my vehicle after checking in, paying for my accommodation. Front door of building remained ajar by about 3 inches. It needed to be jerked into place to be closed. Never felt safe! I had no alternative but to stay because it was too late at night. I drove 5 hours to get to this hotel(?)/motel.

• Natasha (4/5): - I booked a non smoking room for my husband. The washroom stinks like cigarettes and there was no hot water in the shower, he said it was warm at best. The TV has zero channels. If he wasn't so exhausted from traveling and working I would have gotten him a different hotel.
• Amanda (2/5): - I don’t know how this motel is still allowed to be open. The toilet wouldn’t flush. There was no hot water. The tv didn’t work (according to a sign in the lobby, the satellite tv is out of order. There was not even a remote in the room to use the tv). There was a coffee maker but no coffee or cups or anything. The bedding was dirty (there was hair in the sheets so obviously the bed was just made after the previous person, not washed). There was no amenities at all - the ice machine was not operational, the vending machine was empty. I had low expectations for a “budget” motel but this was disgusting. I don’t know how they haven’t been shut down, as they fail to provide basic necessities. Don’t stay here.

• Randy (6/5): Honest opinion of the place - Keep in mind this is a 2 star. All we really needed & were looking for was a place to sleep for a meeting the following day. It was adequate for our purposes. There are definitely some improvements that could be made cheaply to make a stay more enjoyable. In no specific order ..... There was what we hope was a stain on the bed sheet, there is a Coffee maker but no coffee or creamer. There are no cups or glasses to drink from. The shower curtain needs to be washed or replaced to get rid of what I assume are the mold stains. The ceiling above could use the black spots painted over or bleached off. Shampoo & conditioner would be a nice touch as well as there was none. No hair blower so we had to go to Costco to buy one only to return it a couple of days later to them. On the plus side it was under $100 and you could see that an attempt was made to have it clean. If you have ever been to a 3* resort down south it is about the same level of cleanliness where a good deep cleaning and refreshing would go a long way. They had something in their little office that I have never seen before which is really neat .... discount tokens for many different places and activities. Kudos to them for having that. Would be stay there again. YES we would but would be better prepared for the spartenness of it. There are also a lot of restaurants within 5-10 minutes of the place. We ended up at Big 6ix Sports & Wings on a Wed which is their 1/2 price wing night. They were so good . Would we

Even the waitress at the restaurant up the road said, "That place is bad news". Surprised they have a licence to operate.

• Suzanne (2/5): - We were not contacted to let us know that there was an issue with the door locks. When we got there we were told that we can stay in the room or if we leave we can leave our door ajar so we can get back in with all of our stuff inside. The only other way to get back in is if we find a staff member with a master key. The guy to fix the locks would only be there the next day after we had gone. Not an idea situation for security on your property. We had booked for one night only and went in to see the room. It was musty smelling and the staff member had a really hard time to open the door with the master key. We did not have access to find another room that night so we ended up driving back home in a snow storm after a very long day. We are not happy about the situation and it might have turned out differently had we been contacted earlier that day so we could look around to make other arrangements. We will not be booking with you ever and we will not be recommending your establishment to anyone.

I am now in the process of seeking a refund as I was forced to book another hotel. The booking indicated it was non-refundable. I need to be refunded given they did not offer the service advertised. DO NOT book at this hotel if you are arriving late.

Stains on sheet and stains on floors in the hallway and room. Strong smell of weed in the hallway, i thought it was a non smoking motel, but was probably wrong. Staff was friendly though!

• Samantha (2/5): Do not stay here!! Unacceptable place to stay! - We reserved two rooms at the Vaughn Inn and arrived at 5pm check in is after 3pm and our rooms were still not ready. When asked why the rooms weren’t ready they had no explanation considering we were 2 hours after check in. We were told 30-45 minutes before the rooms would be ready. As we were waiting in the parking lot we observed some pretty upsetting things. Garbage all over the parking lot, the hotel has not been updated in many many years, they were putting beds together, majority of the rooms were in complete disarray (beds flipped over, no curtains, broken windows). And this is just what we observed from the outside of the room. When I asked to see the room prior to payment the clerk refused and stated I could only see it once it was cleaned. It also appeared that a very scary intoxicated man who appears to live in the last room of the Inn. The glass door to his room was smashed, beer bottles lined up outside his room and window, as he paced back and forth while we waited. When driving by it appeared that his room was a hoarder situation. My husband is a construction worker and has slept in some questionable 2-3 star hotels and by far this was the worst. The only reason I gave them a 2 on service is cause when we asked for a refund they complied without question. This hotel should be shut down until a major overhaul is done. I’m not sure how others have been able to review this property and give them a good review. This property is absolutely terrible!
• Verified traveler (2/5): Terrible experience - Booked this inn as a last minute option for an employee. He had to leave the property: he couldn't get into his room for a few hours (heavy police presence), nobody was at the reception when assistance was needed and when finally he was able to get into the room, there was no hot water in the shower. Overall terrible experience, would not recommend this property to anyone

• Cbevers (4/5): Okay…but not worth the price paid - I never have high expectations for budget-friendly hotels, but this was getting pretty close to the bottom. Basic toiletries such as shampoo and an extra roll of toilet paper were unavailable. No coffee was supplied with the room, even though the room had a coffee maker. Again, these are small things that are pretty standard/basic amenities in most hotels. Room was relatively clean though and the bed was satisfactory. Staff were friendly and there were no issues with check-in. Location was convenient with good access to major highways and near the airport. Overall though, this hotel was a mediocre experience and not worth what I paid for it.
• Cameron (4/5): - Even for a budget-friendly hotel, this wasn’t worth the price paid. Room was very basic but satisfactory overall. However, the room wasn’t well supplied with basic toiletries and coffee, which is something that most people would expect even in a budget-friendly place. I’ll be looking elsewhere next time I need to visit the area.

Very sketchy and unsafe! Not a place for sensible people, and children! it showed as a hotel in their ad turned out to be a dirty motel. If it hadn’t been midnight, I would’ve left.

Carpet in room was wet along with bathroom floor. Room had a terrible smell. Air conditioner was so loud you couldn’t sleep. When we first checked in window was open with no screen and we were on ground floor.

Other than that, the room was fine. Next time, I'd rather add extra 40-50 CAD and just rent a normal room in BestWestern, Quality Inn or something at that price range.
