Guest Reviews
- Durant (7/5): Acceptable but will.not recommend - No breakfast offered. Front desk lady very helpful. Certainly lower priced! One Bed cover dirty. John not cleaned.
- boyd (10/5): - Just everything
- Emanuel (5/5): -
- Teresa (7/5): I stayed at this location at least 3 times because it fits my budget. It's located in a great area. - I like the location and the affordable price. Staff is not friendly and pretty rude.
- Kollette (4/5): We just needed a place to stay overnight. Nothing special that’s what it was - It was close to where we needed to go It was very small bed not very comfortable
- Guest (1/5): Will never stay there again! - The place was dirty. The comforter on the bed had stains on it. The smoke detector had been removed and notified the local fire marshal. N/A
- Menon (4/5): -
- Guest (7/5): -
- Dominique (10/5): The room is dirty - The location It’s smell nasty, the linen needs some bleach or throw it away, the floors were loose, the baseboards are filthy, there were a lot of bugs on the windows. Over all just not a clean sanitary place
- Michael T (8/5): No frills that worked for me but maybe not others. - A very basic room. Bed, two end tables, a bench, TV, fridge, microwave. Older room that has been renovated. The bathroom had newer fixtures and a walk-in shower, which I liked. The A/C was a very loud window unit in the back closet area of the room that blew directly onto the bed area. Since this hotel is located right along one of the main streets into town, traffic could be heard going back all the time. If you just need a place to lay your head, get a decent shower, and have access to the city, it's okay and there are some good restaurants just down the street.
- Currie (4/5): Probably wouldnt stay here again - Location proximity to jobsite was good Run down facilities. Dead bug on floor of bathroom when I first entered room. Bedspreads had cigarette burns/stains
- Dean (10/5): Great - Affordable, new paint & floors, convenient.
- Mackey-Wisor (6/5): -
- Michael (10/5): Clean comfortable - Nice clean quiet room
- Beth (2/5): - The staff was very unfriendly and the room was not clean
- Michael (10/5): Great Hotel - Staff was great, good communication, easy check in, clean quiet and comfortable.
- Tomas (8/5): -
- Hannah (6/5): - I’d recommend this for a nights stay, it was on our path, easy to get a room and it does seem that they are working on upgrading the rooms. One thing, they put the toilet plunger in the shower which was leaking on the shower floor so we weren’t able to take showers.
- Trung (8/5): - Quick overnight stay
- Brenda (2/5): - I was given a room in the rear of the building
Which was unkept! I hesitated to go in.
Bathroom dirty no towel rack
Toilet seat loose!
I would not have stayed, if it had not been so late.
- shawna (2/5): - Nasty
- Anonymous (5/5): Passable -
- Kendra (6/5): - The room was okay. They need to do more remodeling especially the walls and the doors. And Bathrooms. TV in the room was horrible. Didn’t pick up well. They had young people come on Saturday nights. Seem like they got rooms only just to make it a hang out place they was noisy all out side all night. Being loud. Smh! I will not choose to stay there again
- Anonymous (1/5): you should be embarresed even listing this property on your site - Nothing it was terrible the room was dated, furniture beat up, bathroom small, terrible odor, linens had burn holes in them dirty grounds, parking bad due to catering to construction workers
- Donna (8/5): - Nice price and clean. No frills!
- Christopher (2/5): - Disgusting. Nats were in the sheets and every towel rack was broken off.
- david (6/5): - It was a place to sleep
- Joseph (6/5): Pleasant - Only the price. The room smelled musty. The pictures viewed the room as larger and up to date, but it definitely wasn't. The staff was not friendly when my name wasn't on the registration. It was in my husband's name.
- Jacob (6/5): - If you don’t care about a couple hairs in your sheets and worn down room, this is a great option for a quick nights rest. It’s not glamorous one bit but the staff is nice and it’s right next to a neighborhood Walmart and Taco Bell so which is great. It’s also an easy 23 minute drive to VIR. Overall not a bad cheap option
- Melissa (6/5): - Parking lot is easy to navigate and next to a Taco Bell. I liked that I could park in front of my room. There was a vending machine and ice machine directly in the area in front of the office door. The room had a nice large tv. My shower curtain was ripped at the top and had a small hole in the fabric halfway down the window. The inset shower was very nice but slick when wet and there wasn't a single grab bar. You could sit on the toilet and wash your hands at the same time. The bed was firm but had a few springs poking you. The pillows were FLAT. I had to fold a pillow in half to keep my head into a level position. Rooms are serviced daily without any do not disturb signs available. In the middle of the night of my second stay the toilet became clogged without any excessive tissue being used. While I was away and the room was serviced they turned off the AC unit so I came back to a hot room and had an asthma attack. Front desk staff was bare minimum polite. The public phone number listed online is NEVER answered. I had to go through the expedia app to get a phone number that was answered with Hello instead of the name of the establishment. The buildings are old but maintained, for the most part. The bushes next to the road do block your view of traffic however. In order to use the lighting at the bed you had to turn on 1 switch to give power to the unit to be turned on for light, usb and power. 1 bedside didn't even work. You get what you pay for essentially.
- Moesha (7/5): Good - Rooms were clean. Check-in lady was rude. Had left to get food and they entered my room without me there, mind you I only had a 2 day stay
- Cecil (6/5): - The side of the hotel my room was on the back side of the property and i felt unsafe.
- Timothy (8/5): - OK. Good value for the price. Not a 4 star but was clean but dated. Check in was OK and pretty nice. Water pressure was GREAT!
- Deborah (8/5): Clean and redone just need more lighting. - Basic stay at a motel. I can say the motel was very clean and you can tell it has been remodeled. Lamps and more comfortable mattresses are needed. The maid does and excellent job. Location is ideal for Danville.
- Miesha (1/5): Bad - It’s very nasty and the ppl are rude Nothing
- Jessica (2/5): - Dirty. Small. Nothing like pictures and not worth 80$
Advertised laundry and playground. Got treated like i was nuts when i asked if they had a washer and where it was. No signs of a playground, or even a yard. Poor customer service. Rude employees.
- Kevin (10/5): - Everything was excellent!
- Tamatha (1/5): Horrible - The location! The entire room was disgusting! Floor dirty, baseboard filthy, the linen was dinge, and the blanket was stained and with holes. The entire room needs to be gutted. 🤢🥵
- Daniel (8/5): - Well is a cheap motel for a night stay.
- Cong (2/5): - Sheets bed cover was dirty
Still some hairy in the bed
Bath towers was dirty
Some old stains yellow in tower
I shouldn’t book this hotel online through Expedia
- Faye (8/5): Very good - It was clean and worked for a race weekend. Shower was very slippery.
- Kidwell (4/5): Disappointing -
- Andrew (7/5): Good -
- Jeremy (9/5): Superb - Great mattresses
- Ryan (10/5): Nice and clean! - Wonderful experience! Very nice and clean!
- Rena (7/5): Good -
- Susan (6/5): - Room smelled like mildew , asked for extra pillows and shampoo didn’t get it , probably won’t come back
- Timothy (2/5): Spend the money to stay somewhere nicer. - Disappointing. Needed a room for a one night stay before a work appointment. Specifically booked a no smoking room and the comforter had at least two cigarette burn holes in it. Sheets didn’t smell smoky but looked old and stained and the whole room felt dirty. Heating system kept turning off all night.
It was so late when I checked in I decided to stay, but if I’d had my family with me I would have chosen to stay elsewhere.
- Shannon (8/5): Very good -
- George (8/5): - Good
- Sheila (2/5): - Rude staff...no hangers or towel racks in room...this was last minute my card was charged already before arrival...never stay there again
- Ashley (2/5): It’s was one of the WORST experiences staying in a hotel - The lady at check in was rude. I booked online and when I got there I asked if me and my husband could check in early because it was before 3 check in time. She told me I could and then I asked if we can see the room that we booked first just to make sure it was nice and clean. We looked at the room and she checked us in I also asked her if she can have someone go and clean out the fridge because it was still dirty. She had an attitude and started speaking in her native language I believe they’re Arabic. But very nasty disposition. Once me and my husband put her in her place she then tried to change her approach and say that she was under the weather. We stayed at this hotel because we came to the area for the casino and wasn’t looking to spend a lot of money. I wouldn’t rate this hotel for ANYONE to stay in unless you just don’t care about bugs and filth. The next morning we saw a roaches something we don’t see the day before. It’s like they came out in the night time while we slept. I mean it was big roaches and the babies on the wall near the Tv and leading into the bathroom. We also found a dead stink bug at the top of the curtain. They can do so much better with the cleanliness but again once you have roaches and other bugs you need to re evaluate and exterminate and also get better staff who knows how to clean. No one should rent a room and be experiencing bugs and filth. I didn’t like the staff and also the bugs and filth.
- Maria A (8/5): It will do for the money! - The stay was good for the price.
- Perry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Donald (6/5): - Clean and inexpensive.
No frills. Plenty of restaurants near by.
- Linda (1/5): Never again there. - It look good but , we drove down a hill and wow what a shock. Dirty, killed bugs and mildew in the room.
- Kathy (4/5): NEEDS UPDATED AND CLEANED - This hotel is very dated! The beds are not comfortable, and I believe are old. Thes white sheets and towels are not white more like tan from stains. No electric outlets in the bathroom. The soap dish was coming off the wall, the shower had small pieces of paper and a razor head someone left!!! I spilled some water on the floor wiped up with a paper towel and the towel was black from the dirty floor.
- Melvin (5/5): Passable -
- Jane (8/5): - Room had no plugs, I wanted to use my computer but was unable to as there was no plug. Room is small and basic but was clean, fridge was a good size. No iron or iron board would have been nice to have one.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We were in back on bottom floor. Guests above us stomped on floor (our ceiling) all night!
- Rena (7/5): Good -
- Austen (8/5): - Nice staff
- JOSE (2/5): - They didn't change the sheets on the pillows. I walked around the room barefoot and the floor was obviously not cleaned. It was terrible.
- Nancy A (4/5): - The odor was so bad and it smelled as though it was bedding, flooring, I just don't know. I was hesitant to get between the sheets and I certainly did not shower. I was not about to put my bare feet on a surface that smelled foul. The flooring was very soft, as though there might be water damage underneath, don't know for sure. Just a run-down looking place.
- Long (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dequann (1/5): This whole stay was bs. No working phn. Room had mold, bed uncomfortable, bathroom had holes in the wall - Nothing Dirty, molded, room stink, area was in the hood near woods,
- Diandramason (7/5): Good -
- Thomas (4/5): Better than sleeping in your truck. - I was in rook 111.
The Refrigerator was noisy.
The A/C fan was loud - even on Low.
The bed spreads looked like they came from GoodWill - full of holes & tears.
The bathroom was dark & the tile grout was black (I hope that was the grout).
Hard wood floor - dusty & dirty.
The desk person did not speak (american) english and she was curt.
No card or paperwork with the hotel name, address and phone #.
No one at the front desk, when I called to check-out no one answered the phone.
I had to call Hotels.com for help.
OK for a one day business trip - not female or family friendly.
- Christopher Dale (10/5): - Everything was great, clean, easy check in and out and friendly staff.
- Craig (4/5): - It’s good for a trucker short stop that’s about it
- Tracy (8/5): - The room was clean
- Leona (2/5): - When I got there to check in a lady came out and looked at me like she was so mad cause I was standing there. I told her I had a reservation and she turned around and left and then a younger girl came out. I don’t know what they clean or if they clean but the smell of the product is horrible. I left 8/25 am and still have a horrible headache and that smell I can still smell it. I don’t know what is up above the rooms but it was like someone was running or jumping around very loudly. The floors were sticky and some area there look to be blood or something on the floor. I can say that when I went to go give my room card in the office there was a man that took it for me and he was very nice. I have pictures of the floor boards and blood on the floor and several other things but the area below is not letting me upload the pictures
- Rachel (2/5): - the hotel was filthy and i saw mold. it needs dehumidifiers and a good cleaning.
- Andrews (10/5): For a one-nighter, best place to stay - Price affordable, good location, great toilet paper compared to a more expensive hotels!
- Crisco (5/5): Passable -
- Matt (2/5): Disgusting - On check-in the woman behind the desk was blunt to the point of being almost rude.
We got into the room, (don't be fooled by the pictures online), and it was disgusting. There were hairs in the bed, on the pillows, on the towels, literally everywhere. The floor has never been cleaned properly.
Stay somewhere else.
- Tarchia (1/5): DONT STAY BED BUGS - It’s right beside Walmart and a few restaurants The hotel owner was nasty and the rooms are all none smoking. Then they put me in the back. When I went to the front later it was only white people in the front rooms. I think that’s not right. He also put a few more black people in the back with me. I was woken up to bed bugs biting me. I threw all my clothes I had on in the trash. I didn’t take anything else in that room and I’m glad I didn’t
- Beth (3/5): Poor -
- Kirk (6/5): - throw back to the old style motels...i was looking for a budget room and this fit the bill. Staff was very friendly, room was ok, A/C worked!! It was better than tent camping in 80 degrees which was my other option.
- Candice (2/5): Worst Experience EVER - Worst experience at a motel in my life! They couldn’t understand that I had booked online prior to arriving insisted that I had not paid for 2 nights. Checked in at budget inn and they said wrong hotel I had to go to the red carpet inn. Banging on room door next morning saying I only paid for one night not two I had to show them again I had already paid. Very rude people running those 2 hotels and I DO NOT recommend them to anyone! I most definitely will not ever book a room there again!!
- Fitz (4/5): Due to difficulty, I would not stay again. - The bed sheets were clean, and the microwave refrigerator worked well. Only one of the management team spoke any English, and that was very little. I had a lot of problems with my door keycard and so did my next-door Neighbour. There was only one lady there to handle this kind of issue, and if she wasn't there you had to wait before you get your keycard reactivated. This happened at least four time during my stay there - very frustrating to say the least. Each time I would leave for a few hours and returned I was unable to access my room with my keycard. Had to go to office before I could gain access to my room. Also, the floor needed swept and mopped. Would I stay here again? NO.
- Maria A (8/5): - For the price of the stay it wasn’t bad for one night. I would stay there again for a short stay.
- Francis S (10/5): - This was a spur of the moment out of town getaway. Price was best in town!!!!!
- Karen (7/5): Good -
- Zach (7/5): Good -
- Kashia (1/5): Bad - N/a The staff were very rude & unprofessional.I couldn’t even check in because she got disrespectful after 2 minutes of being there!
- Rocío (3/5): Poor -
- Ronald (8/5): Very good -
- Antwan (7/5): Good -
- Stacy (7/5): It was nice comfortable will stay again - I like the spot it was at and room was around back No one bed rooms
- Jesse (10/5): Delightful stay - Wonderful experience
- Gregory (1/5): Bad -
- Linda (8/5): - Everything was clean and convient.
- Nanthicha (4/5): - Very noise from another guests who is not sleeping and make people hardly sleeping because they up all night
- Lisa (4/5): You don’t even get what you pay for - The room was a king non-smoking and stunck to high heaven. Part of it was the plug in smell that was awful and the other part…smoke? The condition of the room was in overall disrepair. Shower handle about to come off, sink drainage issue, towels were a step above paper towels, bed not comfortable at all. Host was friendly at check in. Would not stay there again if it was free, let alone what we paid.
- Millissa (10/5): - Great stay, no issues
- Verified traveler (2/5): Ghetto room - The hotel room was in disrepair.
The window had to be propped open with a box to get fresh air. Window valance not fastened at one end. Bathroom tile missing. Stained bathroom towel. No hangers to hang your clothes.
- Angel (1/5): Horrible, nasty, disgusting, horrible, stinks, blood on blankets, old clothing shoved in beds, broken sofa couch, pee st - Nothing Everything ….
- Nathanial (9/5): Superb -
- Bruce (9/5): Superb - Enjoyed the stay. No breakfast available.
