Matthew (1/5): I would never use TownePlace again - It was under construction, disgustingly messy and smelly with no notice it would be. No amenities open. Our door was opened without notice making my kids feel unsafe. The front desk was unhelpful. Mess, construction, safety issues
Lori (9/5): Overall the stay was good; the pool being closed was disappointing - The room was nice and recently remodeled. The beds were actually really comfortable. Everyone was very pleasant. Overall it was a great stay. The hotel was in the middle of a remodel and the pool was closed, that was very disappointing. When I booked there wasn’t any mention of the pool being closed so my kiddo was pretty disappointed. The indoor pool was one of the main reasons I booked this room. We were there March of 2026 so if you are booking around this time you may want to check to see if it’s actually open.

Gerald (10/5): Very Good Value! - Was in Lexington for a Professional Women’s Soccer game…Lexington SC of the USL SUOER league. The hotel was only minutes from the stadium and golfer our preferred ‘suite’ style. Everything was very good. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room(s) were spacious and nice. There was a full service kitchen, a nice bathroom, a nice-sized living room and large bedroom (King bed). Overall a ver good stay. The morning breakfast was fine, offering waffles…and then a buffet strike of eggs, sausage, bagels etc. It wasn’t the best breakfast I’ve ever had but it was all very good, and again, the people working that area were friendly and great. I’d call this one a great value for the price compared to others in the area we’ve previously stayed with. Oh…small pool we didn’t use and an ‘ok’ gym. A few machines and some free weights. Wendy (6/5): - It must be difficult to work for TownePlace Suites. The employees were not really service oriented. The house keeping staff with one exception appeared disgruntled and disengaged. The front desk was a revolving door during our 5 night stay. Nobody asked how we were doing or if we needed anything. Even when we checked out they just took the keys, didn't ask for the room number or how our stay went. Cleaning is promised every other day, but you essentially still need to beg for it. Towels are mostly worn out. Breakfast is terrible as it is mostly carbs. The toppings for the oatmeal featured rancid walnuts and stale fruits and seeds. There are powdered eggs that you find at most hotels. Sausage gravy was a daily feature (did not risk tasting that). The nicest thing I can say about the breakfast is they used compostable plates and bowls. I would not stay there again as there are better options just across the street.

413hankb (6/5): Nasty housekeeping - At first everything seemed fine until on my last day I opened a bedside table and found an opened condom wrapper in the drawer. At check-out I told the clerk, and he simply said, 'Oh, sorry about that'...nothing else. That was his attitude; nasty is ok there, I suppose.

Porschea (8/5): - Though the service from the front desk and maintenance team were great, my family and I were extremely disappointed that we didn’t receive room service. Our trash was piling up, we needed fresh towels and linens, and sadly we didn’t receive room service after asking twice. A lady did come by once to clean the room, we asked if she could come by in an hour since we were getting ready, she agreed, so we promptly got ready to ensure that we were out within the hour, only to return later that evening after visiting family to find that our room hadn’t been touched. We also saw a roach which obviously reaffirmed why we wanted the room to be clean. There is also little to no parking if you arrive late. Other than these major issues, we really enjoyed the room, location, pool, & lounge, but because of those issues which definitely stuck out to my family and I, I don’t know if we would stay again or recommend this hotel.

bets84 (6/5): Disappointed - We have stayed here many times traveling back and forth from Ohio to Tennessee. Our first few visits were great but the last two not so good. When checking in we were not greeted with a thank you for being a Titanium Bonvoy Marriott member. Upon entering our assigned room I immediately started sneezing and coughing. It smelled stale and then realized it is a pet friendly hotel. I called the desk and the manager was kind enough to bring keys to another room which was much fresher. Ideally it would be nice if hotels had rooms that are not pet friendly so people like myself, with allergies and sensitivities would not have to ask for a room change after experiencing a reaction. Later when my husband asked about water the young woman at the desk stated we would have to pay for water. Turns out it was $3.50 a bottle! Being at the level we are at we have always been given at least 2 small bottles and more upon request. Also the breakfast was nothing like before. There were no pastries at all, not even bagged muffins, etc. Fresh fruit consisted of green bananas and green apples. This is probably a franchise location and owners have some leeway as to what is offered, but very disappointed that things have changed, and not for the better.
Cara (8/5): Overall great value for the stay. Housekeeping needs a little improvement. - Convenient to lots of restaurants, interstate, and shopping. Staff was kind. Pet friendly but quiet - only heard 1 dog barking once. Pool we didn’t have time to enjoy. Complimentary continental breakfast with lots of choices. Outlets on night stand didn’t work. Sink in kitchen was clogged. Had to request bags for trash and linens for sofa bed. Found pizza crust under the bed and handprints on the glass. Window unlocked on ground floor.
David (5/5): Nicely very Over Priced Breakfast was only Above Continental NOT Excellent or Superb - I stayed at a dump the night before and expected better. Walk in shower was A+. Bed was OK. Location A+. VERY QUIET. Internet would not connect had to use my phone as server to laptop. Table TV Bed Configuration all wrong. Chair WOULD NOT STAY UP. Breakfast was Subpar no different than half price others.

2Badvisor (8/5): Comfortable Stay with Nice Amenities and Friendly Service - We stayed at the TownePlace Suites Lexington South/Hamburg Place over a weekend in November 2024 and had an overall enjoyable experience. We booked two rooms, and the hotel kindly upgraded one to a 2-bedroom suite with a kitchenette, which was a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. Both rooms were clean, and the beds were very comfortable, ensuring a restful stay. The check-in process was smooth, and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful throughout most of our visit. The property is a little older, but everything was functional and well-maintained. The indoor pool was a plus for me. It was quiet during my multiple visits, with plenty of chairs, towels, and even some pool toys for kids, which was a nice touch. In pool area the water temperature and the room’s climate were just right, making it a relaxing and enjoyable feature. The hotel’s location is another strong point. It’s conveniently walkable to nearby stores, including Meijer, which had everything we needed for the weekend. Additionally, there are plenty of restaurants just a short drive away, adding to the overall convenience. Breakfast was okay—not exceptional, but it met our needs for a quick start to the day. The hotel was busy that weekend with a girls' sports team staying on the property. This might have contributed to some challenges, such as finding a luggage cart at checkout. While I eventually located one, it took some time, and the cart wasn’t fully cleaned. The front desk staff member on duty at the time seemed more focused on getting her breakfast from the buffet than assisting, which was a bit disappointing. Despite this minor issue, the stay overall was comfortable, and the staff’s friendliness and helpfulness for most of the visit left a positive impression. I’d rate this property 4 stars and would consider staying here again when in Lexington.

Jan (6/5): Pleasant - Location and price was good for this stay. Breakfast hours were too short. Fast food locations serve breakfast later than here. Also, pool closed by 10:00 when we arrived back to the hotel. Makes no sense how you can’t take a relaxing swim after a long night out. There’s no life guard anyway, so adults should be able to swim later in the night, (opinion).

Suzie (10/5): Great place to stay and VERY spacious! - My son's hockey team stayed at the hotel for a weekend of hockey games. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room had a separate room from the living room and was VERY spacious. It was much larger than most hotel rooms. It was very comfortable and quiet. We would definitely stay there again.

joan (8/5): Great pet friendly hotel - This is a very nice pet friendly hotel. And the oet fee is reasonabke, compared to many ither pkaces, which is why we stay here so often. Tons of things around, restaurants, shopping and grass to walk the dogs, also. The ONLY thing that disappointed was the breakfast. We stayed twice on this trip, once on the way North and then again in the way home. The breakfast was the same both times, which isnt really the problem. The main offering was sausage and biscuits, which we dont eat. ( If you like that, then you'd have been thrilled!) There were also scrambled eggs, which were ok, but the sausage was inedible. ( And, of course, there was the inevitable waffle maker, also something we dont eat. ) At just after 9 am ( breakfast went till 10 am), there was a single bagel and a few english muffins, which never got replenished. The oatmeal and coffee in breakfast room were very good, though. The coffee in the room was ok, but needed a few more setups, or some liquid creamers. The room was big, nice and clean and the bed was really comfortable! And they have a variety of frozen meals you can buy to heat in your room if you want. ( just not breakfast meals-- which might not be a bad idea!) We will stay here again, since we have tried most of the other hotels in that area and this is the best pet friendly one. The breakfast was not so bad i wouldnt go back! Ill just hope for some variety and edible breakfast meat!

T (6/5): - The property has definitely aged with no upgrades or renovations indside the guest rooms. The lack of cleanliness was a concern for me. The first room we were assigned had a pungent odor. We happen to look up and the ceiling had a lot of water stains. It was apparent there had been a leak some time ago and the room had not been assigned nor checked because the stains were dry and brown. Very doubtful that I would chose this facility again.

They took care of my confusion with booking a handicap room and instantly fixed it. Breakfast was tasty and filling. I had eggs, biscuits and gravy. My friend had the best looking waffle I’ve ever seen at a hotel. Nothing. I will definitely book again!

Kimberly (2/5): - The motel itself is outstanding, clean, comfortable. When I chose this place I used Expedia, and I was looking for convenient location for one night, queen beds, and pet friendly. Nowhere in the booking was a pet fee mentioned; however I usually expect one. I disclosed our two small dogs upon checking in; no mention of fee or deposit. The cost of our room for four people was $141. And then, after checking out, I’m an hour down the road and check my emailed receipt where I see they charged me $75 FOR EACH DOG FOR A TOTAL OF $150 extra, for one night! This is robbery, sneaky, underhanded, and downright ridiculous.
