• Vivien (9/5): Nice, modern and very clean rooms! - The rooms are very modern and clean as well as spacious. The hotel itself has nice public spaces and even a shuttle to the airport. Initially, the customer service wasn’t great, as I was left waiting in the middle of the night for a new room key and the receptionist forgot about me. However, they handled the situation very well afterwards by apologizing and offering a partial refund, so overall I’m happy with how it was resolved.

It was tastefully decorated, clean, comfortable and had everything we need to unwind after a long flight. Loved the bathroom and shower. Great value for money! It was a surprise to have to pay for the parking but I guess my bad for not checking properly.

• JoJo (7/5): Bring back the free little snacks - Booked Ziggy room. Massive space for entertaining, playing foozeball, sitting or dining out on the deck, massive bathroom. Comfy as beds, couches and chairs. Big Tvs, great aircon and cute 1 hole mini putt, outdoor pool and gym. Sad to see they didn't have the popcorn machine by reception working or the free snacks in the rooms anymore. (Kids use to love working into the hotel of the smell of popcorn and knowing they could have a bag for free.) Ziggy room had dried up blood splatter on the floor, massive bath tub, however it had a leak? The foozeball pole by legs was loose. No hot chocolate option or no water, just little tiny milk (you'd think there'd be at least a little bit more stuff then the bare minimum for the proce of that room)..shampoo, hand soap etc was not filled up. Feels like these no love in this hotel, unlike before. Even the buffet breakfast was a disappointment (cold bacon and eggs etc)..still no hot chocolate option, but tea and coffee (unless u want to pay for it at the bar). I booked 3 rooms, which meant 3 different deposits and then 3 surcharge? Of $2.50 each room on top of that and not refunded (they wouldn't take cash)...then $10 got taken out for parking from my bond the next day (which is fine), however, there was also a surcharge on top of that cost as well. Expensive vending machines. Would recommend to bring your own water and hot choc shachts for in your rooms, as hotel dont provide these. This place is run down, however if you dont mind that, this place is good overall.

The only issue i noticed was a foul smell coming from the air conditioning ventilation. After running it for 15-20mins. I turned it off. It seemed the filter need a clean. Aside from that, everything else was fine.

• Emma (8/5): Funky, friendly, clean, with extra touches that made our stay fun. - This is a well appointed hotel with some fun 'extras' and funky decor, friendly and helpful staff, a delicious buffet and the popcorn machine in the foyer was a really nice touch. That was the highlight for our kids! Although the bed was very comfortable, I would have liked thicker bedding on the bed. I was cold and the one extra blanket in the room was very lightweight and didn't add much warmth.

• Alison (4/5): Never staying here again, next time will return to apartments we stayed in at Manukau which at least were quiet, clean a - This hotel cost a fair bit and had a fancy foyer and that’s about where the luxury ended. I had requested a quiet room and we were placed at the end of a wing on the main road. Apparently all rooms with two double beds are on the road side. In the end it wasn’t the road noise that disrupted our sleep but noise from guests speaking loudly in rooms and loudly in corridors. (The only positive was the receptionist did attempt to find us another room but by the time it happened it was evening and too late to move). Beyond the plush foyer the rooms are situated along long metal, cold, warehouse style corridors that echo. The room itself was small, a bit run down with scuffs on the cupboards and marks on the rug. The beds were rock hard. We had shouted ourselves buffet breakfast but were not impressed. The food was barely warm and several items just did not taste very good which meant it was a very expensive breakfast if all you enjoyed were the hashbrowns and a strip of bacon. As the long anticipated luxury ended to a couple weeks of hiking in NZ this hotel did not live up to even our basic expectations. Pretty much the whole experience was underwhelming, uncomfortable and noisy for the price paid.

• VictoriaD1145 (10/5): Great airport hotel - Perfect hotel for overnight stay. Very short trip to the airport, uber is around $16. Our driver took 2 mins both times to appear. Very helpful friendly staff, clean hotel, quiet and food amenities.
