• Vernon (10/5): Great hotel very close to Bicester Village - We chose this hotel as it was close to Bicester village which we were visiting, it looked nice in the photos and the reviews were good. We were not disappointed when we arrived, it was better than it looked in the photos. All of the staff were very polite and helpful and both the evening meal and breakfast were amazing. All in all a lovely peaceful stay less than 10 minutes from Bicester Village.

The food was a little underwhelming, however; this doesn't mean it wasn’t nice, just had a little higher expectation based on other reviews. • Yvonne (10/5): - Warm welcome and due to absence of lifts they provided help to take luggage to room, after asking. The external looked like they had some weather damage so they need to rectify that asap. Breakfast was made to order and was delicious, plus they catered for our dietary requirements. Rooms were very chic and glad to find individual toiletries. Beds were really comfortable and plenty of tea, coffee, water in the rooms.
• Claire (6/5): Avoid if solo female traveler - Very little staff around, rooms are nice however walls paper thin heard every conversation shower toilet flush etc …… car park dark and not well lit for solo female traveler's avoid for your safety.

• Craig (10/5): Outstanding - The staff and service at the hotel was superb, myself and wife stayed for a few days while visiting Bicester Village which is very close to the hotel. The breakfast each morning was outstanding the poached eggs on avocado was delicious, we also enjoyed dinner on 2 nights and the value for money on the Sunday lunch menu was amazing. Definitely will be back.

One of the best beds we've had in a UK hotel. Top class coffee making facilities. Restaurant and bar both great. Breakfast had lots of choices and more than we could manage. Again excellent service. Highly recommended.

The staff are very friendly & helpful and our room was nicely decorated and comfortable. The bathroom however was a little tired, the toilet seat was loose and the shower door didn't open smoothly. Apart from that, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. The food (breakfast & dinner)in the restaurant is top notch. Would definitely recommend.

• Verified traveler (6/5): The Chesterton Hotel Review - On first arrival the lady on reception was exceptional and check in was very easy. We had asked in advance for a quiet room and was allocated room 9. The room on first sight was lovely and it was clean (there was an iron mark on the carpet just outside the bathroom). On closer inspection the toilet and sink had a few chips. The bed looked lovely and comfortable but it was two twin beds pushed together and when sleeping you tip into the middle where the beds join. The room did appear a "quiet room" but until 1am there was a lot of noise from above which then started again at 7.30am - we did feed this back to reception in the morning but that lady appeared very disinterested. Breakfast staff were lovely. One of the breakfasts was a full english with poached eggs. The two eggs were over cooked so not runny and the bacon was over cooked or left on a heater as it was unedible. Hotel is located in a lovely village and ideal for a trip to Bicester Shopping Village - not sure if we would choose to stay here again.

• Auranzeb (10/5): - Delightful hotel in the rural area of Bicester. We were pleasantly greeted and the room was exceptionally clean and modern. Lovey power shower and a comfortable bed with in-room amenities including a safe and a capsule coffee machine. The room itself overlooked a beautiful garden and lawn area. Dining options looked nice with options for non-veg and vegetarians. Bicester shopping village and the village centre is only 5 minutes away by car and, similarly, links to the M40 motorway. All in all a great stay with tremendous customer care.

Tucked away in a very quiet location with views over countryside yet just 5 min drive to Bicester Village. Beautiful outdoor areas sadly too wet and cold for us to use. Restaurant was very good, food excellent service impeccable and reasonably priced. Special thanks to Rosie in particular. Would most certainly return.

• Michela (8/5): Nice hotel, bad service and no facilities - The hotel is quite nice but the service is not good, zero flexibility and absence of a receptionist. They serve breakfast between 7 and 10 AM but I had to leave at 7.15 to go to work, so I asked if I could have some breakfast at 6.50. Before even checking, the receptionist said that it was not possible. When I checked out in the morning at 7 nobody was at reception and nowhere to be found. Also, the evening of my stay the brasserie was closed even though I received a “welcome” email on the same day talking about the food served at the brasserie. Around the hotel there is literally nothing so I asked the receptionist what to do, she said to order Uber Eats and that she would have provided a tray and cutlery. Uber Eats in that area has literally nothing decent to offer, had to order some fast food and when it arrived at the hotel, the receptionist was again nowhere to be found so no tray and cutlery.

• Bethan (10/5): - This was a fantastic stay. What I thought was a country pub turned out to be a modern, friendly and welcoming boutique hotel experience. A few days before we arrived a I booked a table for breakfast and asked about their GF options, had a really prompt reply. Not only that, but when we arrived, the Receptionist knew who we were, about the GF requirement, the room had a tray of GF treats, breakfast was served with our own GF created menu and fresh milk was brought to our room to be able to use the Nespresso machine without the need for UHT. The room was ABSOLUTELY gorgeous overlooking beautiful grounds all lit up at night with a fantastic water feature. Our stay was faultless.
