Guest Reviews
- Maire (6/5): - Elevator doesn’t work, other than that was fine.
- Fritzher Junior Martin (10/5): - Great location close to the boardwalk and beach. Helpful staff.. comfortable beds
- Cinthia (2/5): - The place is completely run down, there's mold in the bathroom and the whole place smelled like wet mop for the entirety of our stay. The place looks like it's decaying and the couches were so dirty and stained that we had to put sheets over them in order to sit.
- Ana (8/5): - The staff at this property is incredibly friendly. My family and I have stayed there twice this summer, and we’ve had a great experience. The refrigerator in our room wasn’t working, but the staff immediately replaced it. The property is also conveniently located.
- Joseph (6/5): - Location . Good sized room for price
- Kristen (8/5): - Pros- One block from beach, Received daily beach passes which saved us $50 per day.Free parking. Management and housekeeping attentive and did the beat they could with what they had to work with. Cons- Ceiling in bathroom caved in. Towel rack ripped off wall. No windows could open. Furniture picked off side of road, stcky and stained (we bought 4 blankets to cover couches)..Cleaned with full strenghrh Fabuloso and coulnt breathe for 3 days. Pool the size of a puddle surrounded by mismatched 1970s random furniture. Clean full size fridge. Never turned on stove as coils were busted up. Plate in microwave did not fit and moved around hitting its walls when heating up. The neighboring hotel mgmt also owned next door - the Sunnydale maybe much newer, cleaner, nicer pool. I think ours is probably used off season as a welfare motel. Made the best out of what we had during our stay. We were on a tight budget.
- Douglas (10/5): Good for the $ - Old but nice people and a clean pool! Very close to the beach !
- Isaiah (2/5): - No food options and the bed was mediocre also no WiFi
- Verified traveler (4/5): motel - The motel was run down. Pool was very small and cold. No lights around pool at dusk. Room was small run down. The bathroom was run down. The motel did not make me feel comfortable. WILL NOT BE STAYING AT THIS MOTEL AGAIN. YUK YUK YUK!!!
- Veronica (8/5): - Ricardo at front desk was super helpful and accommodating. Location is excellent to everything. AC worked well, shower got hot with good pressure and no shower back up in tub. Sheets clean and no bugs anywhere. Rooms very dated, carpet is dirty and limited outlets that work. Also unable to watch TV. Small pool but clean. Limited parking but property provides option at check in and free of charge. You do get what you pay for but overall good stay. I would stay again.
- Gerald (8/5): Great motel, but wifi problems - Great motel, just steps from the boardwalk. Awesome pool, and our room had a kitchen, which is a rarity among Seaside Heights motels. The wifi was not working during our stay.
- christopher (10/5): Seaside mini trip - Nice place. Perfectly located. Great service and beach passes too. A plus with todays prices. Would definitely return
- Charles (6/5): - Well place for the price
- Jill (2/5): - Ok so even out 11 yr old and 13 yr old would not sleep under the blankets here, the box springs and mattresses in both suites were stained everywhere down the sides with not sure if vomit or feces that was tried to be cleaned. Blankets on beds were different patterns didn’t even match which at first look was comical, even the mismatched cushions around the pool looked like they hit a goodwill sale, still had to laugh we thought, we had to wait 40 min for the poor guy in lobby to make us parking spots but I was squeezed in a spot next to the dumpster and had to crawl out the back passenger door from drivers seat. Ooh and there is no WiFi here either
- Bonnie (6/5): - The property is dated. The Clorox smell is harsh. Very close to boardwalk and beach. The staff was helpful.
Husband left small computer. Called two hours later and they said it wasn’t in room. Not surprised. Will change review if they call and say they found it.
Best thing was location!!!
- Brittney (4/5): - My room was not clean whatsoever! I was afraid to sleep in the bed the sheets were stained. The pull out was disgusting the floor was black the wall were dirty and it was extremely outdated!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Parking is on motel grounds is tight, they di have an overflow lot that isnt as bad. Motel is very dated.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Very uncomfortable - I’ve been going to Seaside for 15 years, and this is the worst place I’ve stayed. It was not very clean and quite run down. The worst part for me was that there were so many little things that could have and should have been easily and inexpensively repaired, but they were not.
- Roger (8/5): - It was good
- Richard (6/5): - Pool
- faith (2/5): - we literally had to use a stick to go into the back of the toilet and pull the plug to flush it. the knob didn’t work lmaooo big inconvenience and honestly nasty. we tried to get ahold of somebody and the phone didn’t get picked up and nobody was at the office ever.
- Teresa (6/5): - If I had to sum it up in one word, I'd say adequate. The place is exactly what I have come to expect from a motel in Seaside, old, run down but clean. The pillows left much to be desired. I had to fold one in half to sleep on it. The office staff was very nice. It was close to where we wanted to be and it had a nice pool which because of rain we never got to use. There was parking on site but it was close quarters and sometimes you had to park in front of someone's room which felt weird. It think its terrible that some people have written on the paneling in the bathroom but that's not the fault of the management.
- Patrick (10/5): - The Glendale has become a staple of my family and I's annual trip to Seaside Heights. The staff is always courteous and kind and the rooms are always consistent and clean. The pool is always private and clean. We look forward to staying there again next year!
- Maria (10/5): - I liked everything you offered, it was very good service, the only thing I didn't like was that many people were drunk and making noise, that was ugly.
- Emmett (8/5): - Anyone with a negative review, must have been expecting a 5 star motel. For the price and location, this motel was perfect. We'll be returning again in a couple weeks. Staff checked us in early so we didn't have to pay to park. Once parked we never had to drive until we went home. My only issue was in order to get the 2 beach passes, you had to leave your ID which if you wanted to purchase an adult beverage, it would be hard if you didn't look old like me. Other than that, no complaints
- Derek (8/5): - Great customer service. Fixed my AC as soon as I let them know. Put in a new unit. Very close to boardwalk and fun.
- Lara (2/5): - Extremely old dirty rooms. More like a party hotel for drunk kids. The sheets and towels were clean and the pool seemed clean. Super close to boardwalk. Would not stay here again for free.
- Dan (10/5): - Close to beach
- Rasha (8/5): - Thank you
- Bernadette (4/5): - Extremely run down. Outdated. I would say this would be your normal "just to lay your head" kinda of motel but even that is giving it too much credit.
- Tina (2/5): - Bad
- Radoslaw (4/5): - ⭐️ for A+ location. ⭐️ for free parking. No less. No more.
- Ari (10/5): - Affordable and had everything we needed for a short beach trip.
- James (10/5): - Great value for the price, its around everything. Nothing wrong with the place
- Derek (10/5): - Great stay. Right on boardwalk. Friendly staff.
- Bianca (8/5): - hotel room was clean! staff was very nice - the front desk man was very polite, attentive, and easy going. i’ve stayed here a couple of times and i will continue coming :)
- Jacqueline (2/5): - There is always like 50 or 6018-year-old dad on the balcony people screaming all night. It was just terrible experience terrible terrible
- TIMOTHY (4/5): - Unfortunately and not because we aren't familiar with the kind of property you get at the shore I made things arrangements to have my first trip at the Jersey Shore with my grandchildren and my daughter's unanimously felt that we could only stay the first night because the dirt and the on kept and completely Beyond The Pale condition of the property and the room was such that they just felt not safe to be staying there any longer with the kids
- Hector Fabio (8/5): - Overall good experience
- Richard (4/5): - The front desk person was nice.
Room wasn't cleaned nor garbage pale dumped throughout our stay. No clean towels provided.
No internet
- Leslie (4/5): - Front desk girl didn’t know what she’s doing, toilet wasn’t going down good, found a bottle of booze in the bed, some of the plugs didn’t work other then that close to the the beach and boardwalk
- Angie (8/5): - Facility was a bit outdated but overall was a good deal. Staff was friendly and the location was awesome.
- Alexis (10/5): - Quiet, close to the board walk and convenient for an easy vacation with two children.
- William (8/5): - Ive stayed here on and off since the 80s, so I know what to expect. Room was fine, no problems, but could have done without the dried vomit on the door. Ditto the two bozos who sat outside a few doors down endlessly smoking weed.
- Deborah (2/5): - office staff not friendly. door to room would not close properly and stood ajar. Nothing was plugged in -lights, tv etc. TV did not work - waited over 2 hours for motel to get another tv and had only a few channels. In bathroom no toilet paper holder, tub was chipped in various places, shower curtain was not fastened only a little blub to see by. Would never stay there again. Tried to find another room at another hotel but booked up. Well below the average standards.
- Jason (2/5): - If you want a cheap place to hang your hat this is your place. Close to the beach/boardwalk location was it’s sole positive item.
- Gina (6/5): - Place was OK, we didn’t expect much. The pool was actually clean and nice. We traveled with two kids and the WiFi would not work in the rooms and our tv would not work for the first 3 days. The man at the front desk tried three different cable boxes. It was rough. Overall, we wouldn’t stay here again but it was convenient due to walking distance to the beach and boardwalk.
- Dawn (2/5): - Very dirty,no housekeeping, room not what we booked, pictures are not up to date. The best part it was close to the beach
- Patricia (10/5): - I will
Stay here again
- Elina (4/5): - It was old and dusty, other than the refrigerator,I would not use the kitchenette there, and parking was very tight-My wifi didn't work in the apartment and no one could help me and I was told the 2 beds were queen and they were double beds, other than great location to beach and boardwalk, noisy, could not sleep on old creaky small beds, not a restful weekend getaway
- Elizabeth (2/5): - Great location and motel had a small in ground pool, but the night my family and I stayed, it was full of teens partying. The motel handed out bracelets to the kids, that’s how many kids were there. They were up until 6 in the morning with music blasting, smoking weed and drinking. They were rowdy, spitting from the upper level floor and throwing bottles. Rooms were dirty, beds felt like cots, mold in the mini fridge. Our AC didn’t work and they ended up moving us to the bottom corner room. The room although still low budget was 5 star compared to the one we had. They had security out all day and night (babysitting). Great place for partying teens terrible place for a family with kids or any mature adult.
- Sergio (2/5): - Hotel was dirty, walls , bathroom, floors, bed. Ceiling was moldy the toilet was broken and kept rocking back and fourth when used. Bed was broken and the whole place smelled like sewer:( the ONLY good thing was the beach is right in front. Not the best experience good luck to the place.
- Patrick (10/5): - We stay here every year, always great and quiet. Very short walk to the boardwalk. Room didn't have a microwave when we arrived but we were provided with a brand new one upon request. Courteous and accommodating staff. Will stay again next year.
- Beverly (2/5): - This place was very outdated and dirty. The bathroom sink was cracked in half and rusty. There were no hooks to hang anything. The stove only had 2 aisles that worked. The kitchen chairs were very filthy. The sofa bed had stains, crumbs and sand on it. The bedroom linens were stained and had hair all over them. Thank God we brought our own air mattresses. The nightstand had rust stains from the lamp with a broken lampshade. And to top it off water from the ceiling leaked all over our bags. This place is horrible and should be condemned. It's definitely not worth the money we paid for it. I wouldn't reccomend this place to anybody.
- Samara (6/5): - So, keeping in mind, this is a typical seaside motel; i knew what I was going to get, so this is just me giving an honest review
First- WONDERFUL location!! Half block from the boardwalk. Pool is small but very nice, and clean. AC worked, and it didn't smell weird or anything. There is free parking too.
The motel is weathered, run-down, doesn't look very well kept either: weeds growing near the pool filter, the gate lock at the pool isn't functional.
The room was kind of questionable. Dirty, there were burn holes in the comforters, ceiling tiles were stained and coming undone. Sink and tub were stained, and rust around the room door, and the bathroom mirror. The wood paneling wasn't finished, just weird wood. There were floor tiles missing in the bathroom, and there was a part of the wall missing behind the toilet(I'm guessing for pipe access).
- Nicholas (4/5): - Could do better with pool cleanliness
- M (2/5): - My reservations was all wrong from what they gave me .i got reserve for a room for 4 i wanted a kitchen do to my disable people .and eldely and they was giving me a room with no kitchen and no coffee maker .the microwave was so so durty i went back to get what i wanted in my reserve and they make me wait an hour .they gave me a kitchen apart no coffe maker and it was durty .the window shade in the bathrrom was broken everyone in the pool looking inside our bath room
- Elizabeth (10/5): - The ac works great
- Kiah (4/5): - Location was great and that’s where it stops. Outlets looked unsafe, floor was dirty and the coffee pot had old coffee in it. There was a false eyelash stuck to the heater in an extremely obvious place, and the bathroom was stained and dirty. Furniture was outdated and uncomfortable, and finding staff for any reason was near impossible. We also dealt with a brand new employee who seemed to have no easily accessible back up. (Not her fault she did try her best.) My kids did really enjoy the pool but it’s quite small. All this being said if you’re looking for a close spot to the beach you don’t really care about this is your spot. This place was good for sleeping (barely) and that was it.
- Lawrence (6/5): - it needs updating badly, but staff was awesome. I'll be back if still there next year, you get what you pay for.
- Brian (4/5): Not terrible - Out dated , smelly room. Smoked blunt roach found on bed on arrival. Man at front desk was very nice and accommodating . Location was good. Can’t expect much from a hotel at seaside heights.
- Jacqueline (10/5): - Great distance from boardwalk. Noisy
- leslie (10/5): Comfy and convenient - Didnt like the first room they gave and they moved me right away. Next room was clean and comfortable. Manager came in and set up the tv right away since i had a kid.
- John (2/5): Closed - Hotel was closed down, had to find lodging elsewhere
- Jonathan (2/5): - Arrived for checkin and no one at check in office. Note on door instructed to go to neighboring motel (surf side) to checkin. Same result.
Called and left v/m for both numbers and never received a call.
- James (10/5): - nice place
- Cheryl (10/5): - I didn’t pay for a Hilton, I didn’t expect a Hilton. For the price and the area, this was a great place to stay. The cleaning could be more thorough and it would look nicer if they got rid of the towels/sheets that have stains on them. Walking distance to everywhere we had interest in going to. The beach and boardwalk were a block away. The walls are thin but again, expected. Nobody was really noisy but you could hear snoring or chairs moving. We stayed for two nights and room service did not stop by but I’m okay with that. We were able to go down the office if we needed anything.
- Larissa (4/5): - The location was great. Everything was mostly walking distance. Room was very outdated and needed to be fixed up. Parking was not ideal, you move your car and lose your spot.
- Hector (2/5): - The room smells like cigarettes really bad
- David (8/5): Good enuff - The room was fine for me.....wifi service in my room was an issue.
- Liz (6/5): - It was your typical motel. Parking was scarce and the driveways very narrow. Room was what you'd expect. Double beds were not comfortable and the kitchenette we paid extra for was old and moldy. I would not cook there. Bathroom was good.
- Anthony (10/5): - PERFECT location. Just steps away from the beach (and free) and boardwalk and and restaurants. GREAT parking (and free). PERFECT price. PERFECT staff. They were VERY accommodating and always pleasant (Miguel).
- Michele (10/5): - Great location, we arrived early let us park on site. Got our room and it was very clean! Walked in and instantly smelled freshly washed floors; which was a relief with all the bad reviews I saw! Room is outdated for sure but it didn’t bother us . Don’t let the bad reviews scare you. The staff is extremely nice, room was clean and beds were comfortable hot water worked fine in shower towels provided . No bugs ! Mini fridge worked well, tv also. Beach passes were also provided. We stayed in room 32. Would go back!
- Jamie (2/5): - Dirty, disgusting, run down, no sheets on pull out bed, metal sticking out of pull out beds. Only 1 air-conditioning in living none in either bedrooms was ao hot couldn't sleep
- John (2/5): - An absolute dump that checked us into a room that was already occupied, then left for the night - no overnight staff, no emergency number. Also filthy, old, run down, loud, bugs, and one of the worst beds that has ever tortured my back.
- elena (4/5): Stay away from this place - Outdated motel. Almost everything was broken - toilet, sink, faucets, furniture. Back mold in the shower. It took 3 days to fix wi-fi
- Julia (10/5): - I loved my experience
- Richie (6/5): - Was close to the boardwalk and access to beach.
Property was outdated, needed loving tlc.
- Christine (2/5): - Horrible Dirty MOLD Falling Apart Unsafe
- Kyra (10/5): - Some of these reviews are ridiculous, i stayed for 5 days and had no problems the room was clean when we went it. Such a great stay! The manager was nice
- Patrick (10/5): - Consistently great. Will stay again next summer.
- Jennifer (6/5): - Outdated furniture
- Charles (10/5): - The owner is awesome every time we stay!! Early arrival and check in. Let us stay an extra hr to enjoy the boardwalk..
- Anthony (10/5): - Just what we were looking for no disappointments
- MARIE-EVE (8/5): Nice but old - Close to the beach, a little old and need a little refresh. Had a water drop in oir bedroom.
- Verified traveler (10/5): I would go back - Great stay , my only complaint was the beds are very hard and outdated.
- Royner (4/5): - The motel is smelled disgusting
- Christina (4/5): - This property is in a very convenient location from boardwalk and beach. But it is very rundown, needs a lot of updating.
- Denise (10/5): - I liked that there was security on premises .. close to boardwalk .. personal spoke English
- Michael (6/5): - You get what you pay for. It’s a ghetto hotel for Cheap. Room was clean, no bugs. Bed and pillows SUCK. No one touched our room at all during our 3 night stay, we were able to get towels at the laundry room. Pool was small but nice. Parking was tight but adequate. If you’re just looking for a place to crash and shower it works.
- Adam (10/5): - They let us check in very early which was greatly appreciated. 30 seconds from the boardwalk, nice pool on site. Best value around!
- James (2/5): - I was unable to sleep with all the people hanging out in the stairway yelling screaming til 4am
- Donna (2/5): - What a mistake. Walked in and the first thing I saw was a Shein crotch sticker on the dresser from a bathing suit. Rusty beer bottle opener on the paneling from the 80’s. Dusty and moldy. We both have sinus issues still from the room. AC was dirty. Better off razing the place. I was fleeced - that room wasn’t even worth $40.
- Leslie (8/5): Bring back the old clerk - I usually like motels because you can park right in front of your room for ease of unloading the car. I was surprised that they put us on the second floor with a toddler. Ac wasn't as cold as it could be because of lots of dust on filter. Pool was locked even though it's listed as open on the site. When we asked the clerk to unlock it, he was acting like a Martyr
- Steven (6/5): - John was very friendly in showing the apt. unfortunately the wifi does not reach to the apt we were at and in the apt, there was not coffeemaker, or utensils, cups or nothing. I expect that in a motel room but the not apt. I had a 1 year old who was very restless and I wasnt able to do anything to calm her.
- Everett (6/5): - The room I booked and the room I received were different. I booked a 2 bedroom with a bed each along with 2 couches with pull out couches. I received a 1 bedroom room with 2 beds. They should give me a credit.
- Joseph (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay close to the boardwalk and the property manager was super friendly and very helpful will definitely be my first choice if we go back.
- Kimberly (10/5): Best service! - Manager was extremely helpful and pleasant! Rooms are dated but clean, and the location can’t be beat! I would definitely recommend for a beach getaway!
- Marcella (6/5): - The bedspread was stained and the carpeting ripped in several places. While the bathroom was clean, it was old and the sink had water stains. The bathroom and the sleeping area were dimly lit. The air conditioner didn’t cool off the room. The bath towels were very small and threadbare. There was no toilet tissue. The door had to be forcibly closed in order to lock the deadbolt. The flimsy blinds had no wands to close them.
