Guest Reviews
- julie (9/5): - Close to the the trailhead. My room was right off the kitchen so a little noisy.
There was a door, I closed it, but someone opened it again. Because there was no private bathroom. When I got up in the middle of the night or early in the morning, there was often someone in the kitchen one guy was just staring at me and it kind of creeped me out.
- Simon (10/5): Parfait - Personnel adorable, lit confortable, bon rapport qualité prix pour l’endroit Rien

- Sangi323 (10/5): Amazing -
- Jorge (10/5): Cozy place - The location is beautiful. But the best part was the stuff, she helped us so much, probably one of the best staff I’ve ever met.

- Lorena (10/5): Amazing stay - Amazing stay. Definitely recommended!
- Kim (8/5): Peaceful getaway - It’s in the middle of no where and peaceful The mattress was hard on these old bones!
- Luke (9/5): - Great hosts at hostel. Lovely location. A touch of real wilderness Nothing

- Jordyn (9/5): Superb - Beautiful cabin feels in the middle of the woods, host incredibly friendly, well priced
- Tony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (9/5): Grateful for Hostel. Value for the Money. - It is a very nice Hostel. It was clean. I appreciated the welcoming by the staff. They showed me around. I liked the shower area. It took me abit to get the sheets on my bed organized...so I didn't feel the coolness of the mattress. I was able to open the window a crack...to let in some fresh air, which was good. I am 63 and haven't stayed in a Hostel, since I was in my 20's. It is a very nice Hostel, with some really nice hiking trails nearby. I went for a hike up the Ribbon Creek Trail. It is a beautiful hike.
- Siobhan (6/5): Pleasant - Mattresses were not good quality. Thin and loud anytime someone moved.
Arrived early but wasn’t allowed to even use the bathroom until 5pm when check in opens.
- Annabelle (9/5): Authentic, at the middle of the forest, really nice - Welcoming by Nancy, she also speak French, so friendly and helpful
- Shelley (10/5): Exceptional - Our host was friendly and really made us feel comfortable as this was our first time here. The dorms can be a bit noisy with people in and out, but we were provided earplugs, so I didn't hear anything.
- Melissa (8/5): Very good - I love staying here. The location is great. One thing I noticed that there should be lamps on each bunk bed in all the dorms. Having the lights flicked on for the whole room, while the host checked in new guests @9:30pm while 3 of us were asleep was not good. I think the host should do the check in information in the other room, and that each bunk should be numbered. Having to walk in an tell guests where there is a bunk bed at night is not ok. I have stayed in many hostels. If the main room light is off, keep it off, go to your bunkbed with your cell flash light, and turn on your bunks light. Being startled I jumped up in bed from the light, then the host said " No one must be sleeping". Please. Label the beds, give out the letter or number upon check in, talk with guests outside of the dorm, and apply a light to all bunks. Also, please lock the front door at night time, so weirdos don't come in to the building. Being open 24/7 is not a good idea. A code for guests would work well.
- Tony (10/5): Exceptional - Nice location - met lots of people It is a hostel - shared dorm - so expect a hostel with shared dorm sleeping
- Aimee (7/5): Good - Friendly staff, warm. Lots of seating areas and good kitchen facilities Some hairs on bedding and a funny smell in the downstairs part where our room was located.
- Lisa (9/5): Very worth it, right in the heart of the beautiful trails. - Very clean, large accessible kitchen and fridge, Nancy the manager was excellent, very personable and helpful. Affordable and a hostel network is great to be member of. no phone charging in bedroom area, it would be good to have. I could have checked in from 9-10 pm after all. I lost one night as cancellation due to an in correct rule. I was told on the phone check in was over after 9pm therefore I stayed at a hotel and lost my booking for one night as I wasn't going to get there till 9:30 pm.

- Sophia (10/5): Hostelling at its best - Super cozy hostel, remote location which I personally liked a lot. The living room area was super cozy with the chimney, the kitchen was great for cooking and the showers were very pleasant as well. Will definitely come back!
- Michelle (8/5): Very good -
- Sandra (7/5): Good -
- Bryna (9/5): A comfortable and affordable stay in relation to other accommodation in the area. - The hostel is typical. It is clean and there are 3 private rooms in addition to the dorms. The kitchen is large and well stocked. The common sitting area is large with a fire place and comfortable chairs/couches. The location is great. There is an outdoor bonfire area and a bbq. The private rooms are small so not a lot of room to maneuver. The bed was comfortable but not amazing. The bathroom shower was okay but not great and was shared with 2 other rooms. The coffee maker didn't work so well. The only doors that locked were the bedroom doors. The outside door and hallway door to the rooms were never locked.
- Anna (10/5): Clean and Comfortable - The atmosphere of the place was super nice. It was well equipped. The wifi worked well. The common area has lots of tables, dishes, and a fireplace. It is in a good location for exploring Kananaskis and the Nordic spa. Also not too far (in Canadian terms) from Canmore or Banff.
- Mattia (9/5): Superb - The kitchen, the common room was nice and the dormitory was clean. The wifi works well despite what we read on the other feedbacks.
- Brandon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eleanor (6/5): Fair price for an ok stay - Well located for the activities we were doing, comfortable bed, good water pressure in the showers, free parking, WiFi, big fridge. There wasn’t a lock on the shower room door which made for a needlessly stressful experience. Quiet hour wasn’t observed and nobody seemed to shush a very loud group which we didn’t appreciate at 1am when we shared a wall with the kitchen. Worth mentioning that their water is from a well so they provide a water cooler for drinking and brushing your teeth.
- Roshan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Neufeld (8/5): Very good -
- Shuyao (10/5): Exceptional -
- Frederic (9/5): Superb - Beautiful setting in the Kananaskis valley. Rooms were simple but clean. Excellent facilities to cook own food. Very kind and helpful staff. Nothing not to like.
- Carrianne (10/5): Stayed two nights with my husband and daughter in a family room. Enjoyed our stay. - The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the kitchen was well equipped. Drinking water (non-tap water) and morning coffee were complementary.
- Bethany (10/5): Our flight was delayed and we arrived later than expected but they were super easy to talk to via the booking.com app an - Not too big, great location away from the crowds. Nothing :)
- Helen (8/5): Very good - power outlet - we had only 1 outlet for 12 women OUCH!!!
- Rohit (8/5): Very good -
- Mcbride (8/5): Very good -
- Erica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Enmanuel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leif (8/5): Very good - The location, the great people, the accommodations. The size of the bed I slept on, being tall.
The difficulty of being around others and trying to sleep, also trying not to wake anyone up.
- Sébastien (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was great. Kitchen and common areas were really clean and neat.
- Libby (9/5): Superb - The rustic accommodation very apt for the conservation area. Although older style was clean and comfortable. Staff were very welcoming. Great kitchen and friendly vibe. Would stay again
- Daniela (8/5): Overall, great stay, very clean hotel, organized, it was perfect for a quick getaway. - Very clean Very Limited WiFi,
- Janick (9/5): Would go again but they need to keep rooms colder fans at the very less..! Top bunks are way to hot - friendly and clean WAY TO HOT IN THE BEDROOMS
- Paul (8/5): Bike situation was somewhat resolved. We locked our bikes under the hostel. - I love the location and cost of a private room compared to other options. Fully stocked kitchen is a bonus as it allows us to eat what we want when we want. I sent an email about bike storage that went unanswered. And when I called the central number they were no help either saying I’d have to ask the manager. But I couldn’t call so that would need to be done in person. I needed an answer before we left.
The WiFi being limited to a few hours but being told it’s to encourage engaging with others is a bit patronising if I’m honest. We’re not children, most are hard working adults. I get it, if it wasn’t there we’d cope. But truth is in this day and age it is available. We switch off on the trail.
- Davina (6/5): Basic hostel good facilities - Liked the lounge and kitchen space

- Beata (10/5): Amazing where people in the hostel and surrounding is concerned - Host was very helpful and there was a group of older hikers who helped us to find good hiking spots and discover what to see in Kananaskis area, we discovered a beautiful waterfall just nearby.
- Lori (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bilodeau (8/5): Very good -
- Jessika (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (10/5): Excellent cozy stay - Cozy and super clean hostel. We had a private room and the beds were so comfortable. Great kitchen space and loved the big living room with wood burning fireplace. Nothing
- Nyima (10/5): Exceptional -
- Petra (9/5): Superb -
- Rob (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carlos (5/5): Not what we expected from the hostel - The location The service, when we arrived it was snowing hard so we thought we could hang out at the hostel but a girl named Millie said no until 5pm, reception took about an hour to accommodate us, the next day we wanted to have a relaxed breakfast but the same girl told us we can’t stay passed 11am, we didn’t feel welcome because of this pushy attitude
- Danae (8/5): Very good -
- Michelle (9/5): Superb -
- Kelly (10/5): Clean and comfortable with a good location! - Very comfortable and clean hostel! Friendly staff that was willing to help with any needs as well. Excellent location for the ski area. Keep in mind you will need to purchase a $15 conservation pass for each day you plan to park here.

- Nevil (8/5): Very good -

- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful location within unspoiled wilderness
Well maintained hostel with clean and modern bathrooms, very spacious and generous public spaces and very friendly and helpful staff. Internet connection available during some hours in the evening (special service in very remote location)
I have donated my bear spray to reception. It is absolutely recommended
to carry it with you when hiking during bear season. Bring your own. If you travel by plane ask at reception to borrow my one, or buy it at the visitor information. Beds are a bit short for tall people, I (188cm) could not stretch my legs completely.
- Nevil (9/5): Superb -
- Patrick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kathryn (10/5): Clean and cosy - So cosy and friendly with such homely clean bathrooms, hot water and some wifi, which we didn't expect. Nothing I didn't like

- Anonymous (10/5): Well-situated, practical, clean and managed by attentive staff , everything you need from a hostel. - Nice location and facilities (kitchen, showers, etc
), friendly and helpful staff, and the private room was quite good considering it’s a hostel. -
- Ilayss (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alexandra (10/5): The hostess was fantastic and the family was very clean and had everything that I needed. - It was clean and well equipped. The hostess was very friendly, there was quite a bit of information available regarding the surrounding area and the location was great. Not enough signage on the road to easily find the place. Good initially, but the last turn was not marked. Drove right by it looking for a sign.
- Princess (8/5): Very good -
- Berenike (10/5): Exceptional - It was a very cozy atmosphere in the hostel and we met new friends there. The host was very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for hikes in Kananaskis Provincial park.

- Kaine (9/5): Overall it’s a lovely experience especially when you’re travelling on a budget. - Cozy & Homie. The host was very welcoming & accomodating. She was also understanding coz I added 2 more guests with us and just charge us very cheap ☺️ I also love the kitchen & dining area where you can borrow and use tools for cooking and condiments. None.
