Guest Reviews
- maheantharan (8/5): - No comment
- Tam (6/5): - The hotel is leaking at the room & refrigerator is also flooding. Meantime, there is no one time toothbrush & toothpaste. The shampoo also not refill & cleaning service is average only.
But very convenient to have a bus service, find some food, shopping & this hotel is in the center of the city. Not bad for this hotel.
- Abdullah (10/5): - Good stay.
- Chan (4/5): - The lift is too small, cleanliness is below expectation.
- AngieTan (4/5): - Location is ok, but the room is not to the standard. cleanliness is below expectation.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Overall pleasant experience
- Mohd (10/5): MUST TRY. - AVERAGE. SAFE.COMFORT
- Wilson (6/5): - Always our first choice when we are in Hatyai due to its strategic place n very near to local foodies n shopping mall...Bt this year is a very dissapoiting one...Young/Trainee Staff was rude as hell(Poor English yet the tantrum towards us)....booked 3 rooms n 1 of the room was dirty as hell(I guess it wasnt been stayed for a while..toilet floor were sandy n carpet was dusty)....Overally if they improve,i would come and stay again....
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Location. Place feels dead, no activity at all. Better convert to service apartment.
- Verified traveler (8/5): 3d 2nights vacation with family - vacation with family. two rooms booked. The hotel is very well placed at the heart of the city. After you exit from the hotel, there are shops for food, mcdonalds, the lee garden plaza, and the night market (mostly food there, but there are souvenirs too)Make sure you book the royal wing, if you book the other one, it is an old run-down hotel. they have another building and that is much better. Rooms were clean upon entry, and cleaning did a good job on the room as well. however, the receptionist (40s or 50s man) was not friendly, he could not speak in english, and he was quite rude to us as well. a minus in somewhat a perfect hotel.we visited lee gardens plaza hotel, but the lifts were quite confusing, u must know which lift goes where. u might get lost there, like we did. we went to the 33rd floor buffet restaurant, food was okay, but the highlight is the view from up there. even if you are not gonna eat there, just go and have a look at the view, its worth it. right before we checked out, the reception told that the bath tub stopper(the cover that stops water from flowing out), is missing in one of our rooms. but it was a fault by the staff, he did not check properly as the stopper was right there. probably an attempt to get more money out of us. because i have seen some hotels do this to customers to get more money. be alert and make sure everything stays the same when u check out, the same way u checked in.there is a band music at night for relaxation, massage as well
- Vimala (8/5): -
it is good for the price since it is located in the city where you can go shopping and dining. The service is also good. Staff is helpful
- Wendy Gaik Lan (4/5): Worse expectation - The overall only the location is fine then other ,the worse is the kettle the bottom of kettle full of rust.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Can stay for holiday
- Verified traveler (4/5): Good location but Room is bad - Location is good but too old for the room and not worth for the price we paid.
- Roniyo (4/5): - Old hotel. Bathroom sink leak causing at floor. Maintenance failed to attend to our request for repair until we return at night & then advised that he could not repair. Receptionist was reluctant to our request to change room but finally did it after repeated request. Won't want to stay at this hotel in future.
- Henry (6/5): - The room are smelly with plenty of old stain at the shower curtain. Room furniture is old and time to do major renovation.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff are not so friendly
I come first to check out but she attended someone who came after me
Facilities? No iron for clothes..i asked for it but one who attended me just said no service..poor
- Yeoh (8/5): - Nice walking distance to good dining places and shopping.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Big Room, Nice Hotel!
- Lim (2/5): Not worth the money - The hotel room ought to be demolished/renovated as everything were decade old, not suited 3stars. Shower no water & not even a cheap hair dryer. When I requested for local map, receptionist pointed me out of a door to a tour company. What a hack!
- Zaza (2/5): - The location of the hotel is great. However the hotel service was worst than a budget/low cost hotel.
We booked one of the suites (Imperial Suite). The suite was smelly and there was no drinking water provided in the room. Only 2 bath towels and one face towel were provided in the room. To make it worst, the hotel accused us for losing the face towel and refused to return my passport (they held my passport during our stay there). So after 2 hours arguing with the receptionists & the manager (we even offered them to check our luggage and car) they finally return my passport. But the fact that they detained us there for 2 hours for nothing and accused us for stealing their freaking face towel were just unforgivable.
After the incident we talked to a guy whom we met there (he works as a tour guide in Hatyai), and he told us that the hotel often have cases like that. And its normal for the hotels to detain you and ask for money for whatever reasons they could find. A terrible way of making money
- Mk (4/5): - Good location but very old furnishings. Dim lightting in room with very old and dusty furniture
- Soh Kheng (2/5): hotel is old and dirty - The Reception is extremely rude and unfriendly. They just ignored to help me book a taxi to the airport
- Bell (4/5): Hotel very old. - booked new site hotel they give us old site hotel.
- law (4/5): location hotel at center of city. - location hotel at center of city. convenient for shopping.
- Ho (4/5): MIDDLE OF TOWN - Hotel falling apart, very poor maintenance. what more is there to add!
- FENG YUAN (2/5): Highly not recommended!!! - Highly not recommended!!! Very bad maintained... we booked 6 rooms and 3 rooms are with either air-cond problem or hot water problem. When request to change, staff attitude is terrible... No hair dryer is supplied. Only one lift working which can only carry about 6 people each time...
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Ok hotel excellent & nice. Near to nearby shopping.
- Goh (8/5): Best Location Budget Stay - Nice hotel with large bathroom. Location is superb as all food n massage parlour is just around the corner. Wi-Fi is good too. Had stayed here for many times already. Recommended for your stay when in Hatyai.
Also 7-11 is just around the corner.
- Janice (4/5): Good location, staff bad attitude - Good location.. but front desk staff bad attitude, new wing room ... water leaking.. n hotel can't do anything room 1881
- kaliner (6/5): Central location - Everything was spoilt in the room!
Sink clogged; TV spoilt; bedside light fused; fridge spoilt; hot-con, not aircon
But, they upgraded one of my room to a suite
- Abdul (4/5): Bad stay at the old wing - The website did not say whether we would be staying in the old or new wing.pretty disappointed that we got the room in the old wing which was quite poor.
- jays (2/5): - wifi very bad.staff attitude also very bad.but the location is good .if wifi good maybe I will stay again.
- mohammad hariz (8/5): Very Convenience - Good hotel and very friendly staff. The price are worth it for the room.
- Tiger (6/5): Time for a renovation - The room is big but all furniture need to replace and so is the carpet. They look very old. Location is not bad.
- Verified traveler (2/5): stay away!!! - stayed 5 days in a Executive Luxury room average $100 Singapore dollars.
no supply of toothbrushes, toothpaste
only 1 day supply of 2 tiny sticks of Nescafe, sugar n cream, tissue paper.
i was asked to pay 300 baht for a dirty bed sheet on my checkout. i was staying alone in the room,
asked them what kind of dirtiness they're taking about , they only repeat dirty bed sheet! 300 baht!!!
no supervisors or managers! dirty bed sheet! 300 baht!!!
there's a lady before me that has to pay 500 baht
for a towel! she said she will put it in her Facebook.
the hotel hotel holds our passports.
charging us whatever during checkout!
i hv a plane to catch so hv to pay 300 baht to get
my passport.
my advice to those reading this ,
STAY AWAY!!!
- Rietta (8/5): Very convenient location. - Just a walking distance to the shopping areas and old market. Ample parking space and thoughtful of hotel staff in giving us 4 rooms with connecting doors.
- Sue M. Arukin (6/5): Great location - Good hotel, great location but unfortunately unfriendly staffs especially the front liner. I forgot the name of this one lady staff (short hair, thin at her 40's perhaps) who is serving the customer at the cashier (for check out). She speaks very rude (high tone voice) and show sulky face to customer for no reason. Perhaps she got a problem on her own, but showing her sulky face to customer is not a good to do as a front liner staffs. In my case she even shouted at me to check the safety box that was locked (it's already locked when I checked in). She shouldn't be working at the front line of any hotels. The suitable place for her to work probably at the laundry or cleaning the bathroom! I was annoyed with her behavior!
- MJ (6/5): Nice hotel but the service quite slow - The hotel was very nice and comfortable but the front counter for check in and check out are too slow. They also required our passports to be left at the counter throughout our stay which was kind off weird. There was no iron provided too which was a bummer. But overall stay was nice and pleasant.
- lili (8/5): great location. - The hotel is always busy with guests because the location is great.
- Tan (6/5): Good for Location only - Best location. But it's maintenance is very very poor. There is no coffee cup in this whole entire hotel.
- Cecilia (8/5): Nice hotel within walking distance to eateries and - My friends and I are happy to stay at the Regency.
- Verified traveler (4/5): really disappointed !!! - ~ when check in only realize that was a OLD WING
(web site never stated OLD / NEW WING)
~ bad smell in the room
~ after check in the staff ONLY inform there has a SURCHARGE THB600 (3 nites) WHICH IS NOT STATED IN THE WEB SITE !!!
~ met a couple when check-out, they faced the same problem
we don't care whose fault is that, but as a customer, really disappointed
- Wai Lun (6/5): Convenient near to shopping area - The room air conditioning is not cold enough even we have adjusted to the lowest temperature.
- Adrian (6/5): convenient - front desk are rude but the location was superb, surrounded by shopping and eatery.
- Mark (8/5): great location - Hat Yai was great. hotel was well located. clean and comfortable. no hot water the 2nd night. Customer service was lacking and the concierge not very helpful. i would stay there again.
- andrew (6/5): Central hotel - This hotel could do with updating but it's central and safe,
- Zunafishailmy (4/5): Just ok - Just ok if for sleep only..
- Verified traveler (2/5): The Good Point is Only and Only the Location - This hotel is become a favorite hotel for Muslim travelers, including myself. Located in the heart of the city with lots of Halal/Muslim restaurant nearby and also Night Market just step away from hotel. Other than this is NONE.
HOTEL HAS NO RESPONSIBILITY TO THEIR GUESTS AND DID NOT GIVES TO WHAT THEY HAD PROMISED. I called the hotel two weeks before my arrival date to have a rooms on the same floor and near each other as I was booked for 2 rooms with difference category. The staff said no problem for my request even difference room category.
However upon check in the staff said difference thing that they do not have my rooms on the same floor and downgraded my rooms to lowest category. The staff asking for extra charges if I were to have the same category of rooms but I refused since they had already promised. Till the end staff kept asking extra charges and not even apologize. The only reason given was the staff I spoken earlier for my request could not understand what I'm requesting for.
Luckily Expedia save my days when I spoken to their Customer Service. There was some miss communication stated on Expedia.com website for my rooms booking. It was handled professionally by Expedia staff and to my surprise I had an extra room without any extra charges.
I would like to thank you to Expedia.com Team for saving my holidays which almost ruin by hotel staff.
- Tee (2/5): Not recommended - Bad bad bad, condition is old, reception service like I stay for free.
