Please note the property consists of 2 buildings; Walton Hall on the island and Waterton Park Hotel on the main land, directly opposite the old hall. Accommodations can be allocated to either of the buildings, subject to availability at the time of booking. Rooms in Walton Hall cannot be guaranteed.
Children can only use the swimming pool if accompanied by an adult.
Baby cots must be booked directly with the hotel and are subject to availability. Any surcharges will be added to the booking when confirmed with the hotel.
Disabled facilities are limited. For further information you can submit a special request when booking or use the contact details found on the booking confirmation.
Access to the spa facilities are an additional charge.
This is a nonsmoking hotel and smoking is only allowed in the patio areas outside the property.

Dining is on the mainland. The Grand Cafe is open all day for dining, including dinner in the evening. The Casual and Fine Dining menus offer locally sourced seasonal dishes to suit all preferences.
Spa access is not included in overnight stays unless booked onto a specific spa breaks. And there is an additional charge to use the spa. - Alex (6/5): Lovely place but we were disappointed with the service for the price we paid - The property was situated in a nice area with the part of the hotel on its own little island which was stunning to look at Upon check in we were allocated room 35, when we tried to enter there was a couple already in the room, we where then given a different room, the room was quite spacious, the bed was uncomfortable, the heating was on full blast & couldn’t be turned off due to a damage dial which had broken off, which made for an uncomfortable nights sleep. We ate in the restaurant & the food wasn’t great. We were charged for a Pepsi which we didn’t recieve.

Stunning location. Plenty of parking. Our dog was welco.ed and staff where amazing with him.Nice to visit a hotel that made us all feel welcome including Bailey. We will be back. These are just recommendations as our stay was really good. The 4 poster bed post is right in the centre of the TV screen rather annoying. Guests outside at 3am still making a noise. Furniture in the room needs replacing as old and mirror very unsafe.Rooms would benefit from some updating.

- cheryl brenton (10/5): really great xx - every thing .the staff all of them were wonderful friendly and kind ,the breakfast had plenty of choice ,very good quality food ,the dinning room was lovely ,the whote was clean easy to get around ,the swimming pool was really nice but you can only use it for 2 hours in morning if not in your pacage other wise its 25 pounds for the spa and hot tub ,lovely lake around the hotel we sataed in main bit not the island ,but we had room 54 with four poster bed lovely big bathroom was so nice ,every thing was so easy to do heating straight forward ,the only hotel the toaster does it in one go ,shower fast and easy ,we had 2 days and was wonderful .easy to park and quite at night xx the only thing we wish we could walk around the lake and you cant as their is a golf course next door

The lemon cheesecake was delicious. It's looking very tired in areas. I feel it could be a goldmine if everything was updated as the amenities are great. I had the chicken breast and have to say for the price I was expecting more. The chicken was overcooked. The ju was flavourless, and the carrot could have been cooked crispier. Very disappointed.

We checked in and went to the spa which we found requires maintenance and updating. When we returned to the room we decided to check out and leave as it was dirty and poorly maintained. I wouldn’t stay in the hotel overnight due to the condition.

The room overlooked the roof which was dirty so understand why the hotel has done this. Not nice to be in a room where you can’t look outside. The room needs a good clean. Radiators were filled with years of dust. Cleanliness is only being done at very surface level. No deep clean has been done for a long time - that is very clear. Restaurant was over priced for quality of food particularly the dinner offering. Breakfast was very good

Food in the restaurant was very good. There was a constant humming noise in the room. I woke up at 4am and couldn’t get back to sleep because of it. It could have been the ground source heat pump that was outside my window. Not sure as I hunted around the room. There was a very strange shower door over the bath which made it difficult to have a bath as I had to hold it back as it kept popping out across the bath. I think it was set up to only use the shower.

Towelled slippers as they got wet/damp after being in the pool/hot tub, and it was a cold evening, but still appreciated them being provided. Cubicles would have been preferable to an open changing area, but it wasn't busy so not a problem. Being told upon booking into the spa, or information on the website about needing a pound for the lockers would have been helpful.

Expensive in comparison to other 4 star hotels we have stayed in.

The staff definitely made our stay so much better, the service for food was perfect and staff were always checking in to make sure we were ok. The breakfast wasn't the best, expensive for what it was and not much selection. Would be nice to add a bit more variety. Our evening meal was really nice but the drinks were super expensive!

- Adelayda (4/5): Lovely location, bad management. Won’t come back! - Great location, amazing view and rooms were clean and good size. You have to pay extra to use the facilities. We came for a leisure stay and found out it costs an additional £15 per person for just two hours of swimming. All guests only get free access from 7–9am, while breakfast is served from 8–10am, you can imagine how uncomfortable this is. Children are only allowed to use the facilities from 7–9am and 4–6pm (even if you want to pay, you can’t)!

- Angelene (1/5): Would not pay the cost of £130 for a family room with no facilities, no meals included, no swimming - Location Had to ask of room was ready 20 minutes after 3pm check in time, room key didn’t work had to return to reception 3 times meaning we didn’t actually get into our room until 3:50. We were told by the reception staff children could swim between 4-6 it was not clear prior to booking that this would be an extra charge of £45! The ‘heated’ pool was cold and my 9 year was shivering after 30 minutes so we had to get out. The sauna was out of order and we were not able to use any of the other facilities as advertised. We were not offered any information about treatments. The bar staff in the reception area were discussing another colleague inappropriately and moaning about people putting pumps on incorrectly! There was no children’s menu available. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. There was no sky available in the lounge area so my children had very little to do as they wanted to watch the darts in the evening. The door at the front of the building was left open so it was freezing cold.

Staff were very friendly and offered coeliac-friendly options. Booking.com needs to make the booking information relating to the pool times and additional charges clearer.
