Guest Reviews
- Kirsti (10/5): - Very unique decorated room, good bed, quiet room. Very nice breakfast was brought to room at the time we wished. The host Yuka was very friendly and we felt very welcome.
- Thomas (10/5): - Honestly I'm not even kidding when I say this is the best hotel I've ever stayed at! Would definitely come again, and I would definitely recommend !!!
- Scott (10/5): - Cute spacious room with a wonderful claw foot tub. Breakfast served every morning. Friendly host was there to greet us and give us the keys.
- Devika (10/5): - Excellent location, close to the tram, historic area, shopping and restaurants. The apartment is large, comfortable and authentically French. The only downsides are that the building has no elevator and there are steps in the bathroom that can be dangerous at night.
- Patricia (8/5): - It's a very interesting and different property. We stayed in the Empire room which has an upstairs bedroom. Walking down the stairs to the bathroom at night was not real safe not to mention inconvenient. It would be better for a younger couple. A nice breakfast served in the room. Yuka is very nice and helpful.
- Jean-François (10/5): Séjour de luxe. - Un lit à baldaquin, quel luxe !!! Délicieux petit déjeuner. Une bonne nuit de sommeil.
- Filip (10/5): authentiek verblijf in Dijon - zeer aangename en authentiek ingerichte kamer. Zalig rustpunt voor een verblijf in Dijon. Goed ontbijt, met lekkere home made confituur.
- Jon (10/5): Kommer gerne igen - Hyggeligt og utraditionelt lille bed and breakfast super service. Hyggeligt indrettet værelse med rigtig god plads
- Teresa (10/5): - Lovely host and wonderfully decorated room. Right in the heart of Dijon. Breakfast was included and delivered to the room. Though the room is old everything worked perfectly - good A/C kept us comfortable and enjoyed the slipper bathtub. Highly recommend!
- AnneGeoffHoliday (10/5): It's Fantastique, Fatastic, 素晴らしい - Yuka is the most gracious host you'll ever find. Her apartments are centrally located to old Dijon, which makes it easy to walk everywhere & enjoy the old city. Our room was very comfortable & the breakfast included was unsurpassed on our French journey & Yuka's homemade jams, were simply delightful. The apartment was secure & quite. I will be recommending staying with Yuka to our family & friends. 11 out of 10.
- Geoff (10/5): - Yuka & her husband have a fabulous place to stay. We loved all of it, the heritage decor, the closeness to the old town (technically you're in it) the breakfast, all special. Our stay was way too brief, Dijon has so much history it's hard to comprehend but staying at Le Petit Tertre certainly helped our now found love of Dijon.
- Freedom43379306225 (10/5): Hidden gem of a hotel in Dijon - This is a hidden gem. The outside doesn't look much but we rang the doorbell and Yaku came immediately and greeted us by name. She took us to our room which was nicely decorated as per the photo. It had a fridge, microwave, kettle and a sink. It was very comfortable 4 poster bed. The showroom was nice and shower was very good. There was also an A/C unit for when it was very warm (up to 34C) whilst staying there. the actual hotel was right on the edge of the old medieval heart of the city and you were walking into the heart within seconds. Despite being so central it was very peaceful, both during the day and night. Yaku brought us breakfast to the room everyday at our chosen time between 7am and 9am. Yaku was very courteous and friendly. Well worth staying there. We would stay there again.
N.B. the only downside, was getting to the hotel by car as the streets are narrow and confusing, but there was an underground car park nearby (less than 5 minutes walk)
- Nicholas (10/5): - Our stay at Le Petit Tertre was fantastic. My wife and I would definitely stay there again. It is on the edge of the old part of the city and within a 1 minute walk you are amongst the character buildings of the medieval city. The hotel room was quiet, day and night. The air conditioning helped in the heat we had. The room is well decorated and furnished. Yaku was a superb hostess and welcomed us by name on arrival. She brought breakfast to the room every day with a smile and made a great deal of effort varying the breakfast. We stayed 8 nights, seeing Dijon for 4 days, and day trips to see more of the region.
- Isabelle08_11 (10/5): Great location and a lovely place to stay! - The exterior of the building hides a very charming style of accommodation. We booked 3 rooms the Regency, Empire and Romance, they are all beautifully furnished in different style with antique furniture. They are more like a large self-contained studio with a basic cooking facility but well equipped necessity. Very comfortable beds. The host and hostess are very welcoming, kind and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and lovely homemade jam was provided to go with the lovely bread. I highly recommend Le Petit Tertre and would definitely stay there again if I visit Dijon again.
- Douglas (8/5): Choose your Room Carefully - Great location in the city and a wonderful host. Stay included continental breakfast. Issues were the exterior access steps to the honeymoon apartment, lack of headroom in the second floor bedroom, and the difficulty negotiating the interior stairway to get from the bedroom to the main floor bathroom.
- Young-mee (10/5): - It was cold and rainy day. I arrived earlier than check in time. So I intended to leave my luggage in the hotel and explored the city.
Surprisingly, the owner let me in earlier. She was kind and considerate. It was such a warm gesture. Thank you!
- John (10/5): - Beautiful room. Spectacular attention to detail. Complete with a wonderful breakfast. 11 out of 10!
- mikekI218XB (10/5): Super charming. Perfect location. - Super cute boutique hotel in the heart of the historic district. Literally in a very well maintained historic building. Spotlessly clean. Full of antiques and well thought out charms. A very short walking distance from historic sites, restaurants, bars, shops and much more, much more. Very safe neighborhood! The owns is so charming. Speaks wonderfully English. She took care of all our minimal needs. She also made the five of us breakfast every morning.. very French and delicious. We will visit here again. Super fair price. A gem for sure.
Kesinlikle tavsiye ediyorum.👍
- D0dge51 (10/5): Great place to stay in Dijon. Don't look anywhere else! - This fabulous B & B was a real find in Dijon and very good value for money. The rooms were comfortable, clean and very nicely decorated with en suite bathrooms. The in room breakfast was great, along with delicious home made jam. Parking was easy and right in the centre of Dijon. Yuka was an excellent host and we shall certainly be back at some point in the future. Thank you Yuka for your hospitality.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Beautifully decorated room. Great location. Lovely breakfast, friendly and helpful proprietor. It is definitely one of the best places I have ever stayed and certainly one of the most well furnished homes.
- SAORI (10/5): A Fantastic Stay in Dijon! - The room was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom was pretty large and modern. The breakfast was delicious, and the host was incredibly sweet and kind. The location was fantastic, too! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dijon.
- 855birgittad (10/5): A rare find - A true treasure in the very heart of Dijon. We had the most pleasurable stay, enjoying the tasteful decorations, loveliest breakfasts and our helpful and friendly hosts. We left the car in a public garage, everything is well within easy walking distance.
Check in apenas a partir das 17hrs.
- Alexandros (10/5): - Lovely and charming place.
- Laura (10/5): Le Petit Tertre - Our stay was incredible! The location of the rental was fantastic. We’ve never stayed in such a quaint location! The experience of exploring Dijon and walking the streets to our rental was something we will never forget!
- Fiona (10/5): - Quaint french property. We stayed in honeymoon suite which was large and over 2 floors. Nice to have fridge to keep drinks cool and breakfast was an added bonus. Thank you
Parking nearby by only 11 euros overnight and it was easy to many restaurants and bars so great location.
- Greg (10/5): - Charming and quaint .
A great start to our holiday .
- Patricia (10/5): - Ruim en mooi ingericht.
- Robert (10/5): - Found the property easily with Sat Nav & parking just a short walk on the street overnight. Lovely welcome & close to centre where we found lots of options to eat.
- Ann (10/5): - An absolutely delightful accommodation option. The Host or. Delightful breakfast also.was very warm and welcoming and the room had all the French charm you could ask for.Highly recommend for an authentic old Dijon experience.
- Katelyn (10/5): - Amazing property. Amazing host. Amazing location!
- SydneyBlondie (10/5): A great hotel - Currently staying in the renaissance room- up one flight of stairs but we were helped with our luggage from a young man I assume is the owners son.
Room spacious with everything we need- a fridge and a microwave, hot shower, super comfortable bed. The owners are very helpful and welcoming. A 5 minute walk to all Dijon attractions and +++ restaurants.
Breakfast included in our tariff and the food is abundant and fresh. The pain au chocolat this morning was amazing.
If coming to Dijon, I can recommend highly.
- peter (10/5): - We stayed in the Empire appartment . It had everything we needed & was a beautiful space . Located perfectly for sights in Dijon & restaurants .
Highly recommend
- Cheniene (10/5): - What an absolute gem! Lovely room, outstanding host and great location. Definitely would recommend and hope to visit again in the future. Thank you so much for everything!
- Michael (10/5): - Was like staying in a time gone by with the room furnishing in a good way. We loved it a place with real character rather than the usual style hotel room.
Breakfast brought to your room at a time you request a added bonus.
Would Definately stay again if visiting the lovely city of Dijon.
- Andrew (10/5): Hidden retreat in Dijon - Fantastic accommodation just metres away from the charm and attractions of Dijon.
A slightly quirky room with antique furniture and the loft bedroom upstairs (the stairs are a bit squeaky and creaky), but the bathroom has been beautifully renovated and furnished, and everything is quite comfortable.
Very obliging and accommodating host, together with an authentic French breakfast.
Location is superb - very quiet, tucked away, yet just a short walk to restaurants, shops, and the heart of Dijon.
- Malcolm (10/5): Cute Bed & Breakfast - Cute, hidden away B&B. Great breakfast served in room.
- Margaret (8/5): - Warm, clean and comfortable. Added unexpected bonus was having a small kitchen. Friendly host and lovely breakfast.
A recommander.
- LORENZ (10/5): - I wanted my daughter to try her first B&B stay. I knew I picked the right one when she wow wow and wow, unable to hide her astonishment and excitement. Stay was great and I'm writing this mid stay. So those of you who can't find a decently well rating hotel, look no further. This is your place to stay. Our room did hv to carry the luggage up a flight of stairs. But it's a small hussle. Water pressure is on the low side. Everything else was excellent.
- LorenzSingapore (10/5): Nice gem, so glad I chose it... 😊 - I wanted my daughter to try her first B&B stay. I knew I pick the right one when she wow wow and wow, unable to hide her astonishment and excitement. 🤣 Stay was great and I'm writing this mid stay. So those of you who can't find a decently well rating hotel, look no further. This is your place to stay. Our room did hv to carry the luggage up a flight of stairs. But it's a small hussle.
- Lukas (10/5): - A small clean hotel located in the middle of Dijon and only a few minutes to the city and the sights. The owner is very friendly and showed us around and had some useful tips.
Breakfast is served in the room so you can have breakfast in peace.
We will be happy to come back.
- lisa (10/5): - The hosts are very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was yummy!
- adc354 (10/5): One of a kind guest house - This is no ordinary B&B, but is one of a kind. In this "medieval guest house," we had the most comfortable and relaxed stay in our itinerary. The maisonette space was great, the bathroom is very roomy, and best of all, the "home-made" breakfast delivered to our room was fantastic. We were so lucky to be able to find this place.
- Peter (10/5): - Immer wieder
- Rosemary (10/5): - Gorgeous space with an exceptionally comfortable bed. Great location!
- Dave (10/5): - On a 2 week trip around France this hotel was the highlight of the trip as far as accommodations. My wife and I said of all the places we have stayed this will be the only one we stay at again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
- O3442IDlawrenceb (10/5): Great stay in Dijon - We enjoyed our 3 night stay in the Baroque suite on the second floor (= 3rd floor for Americans). Yuka works very hard to please the guests. The breakfast is excellent. The location is super convenient within the old city of Dijon and nearby the Les Halles market. One should look carefully at the website to choose one’s apartment as they have different features. Dijon is a great town, and is 30 minutes or less by car to the famous Burgundy vineyards.
- Jodie (10/5): Outstanding - Really a fantastic gem in Dijon. It is an excellent location wonderful hosts, and a beautiful view. Really could not have been a better base while visiting Burgundy.
- DAVE (10/5): - Nice place, very nice lady who runs the place
- David T (10/5): Character and Comfort - Elegant furnishings, comfortable bed, convenient location, gracious host and wonderful breakfast. An excellent base for exploring Dijon, we would absolutely stay here again.
- Ross (10/5): - Very charming. The room alone made me wish I had booked a longer stay.
- Jane (8/5): - the property doesnt have elevator. should indicate in Expedia. We had large heavy luggages, not convenient.
- Gary (10/5): - The Hostess was charming and brought a delicious breakfast!
- staci (10/5): - Location location location! The owner was lovely and very helpful!
- Bernadette R. (10/5): - Our host Yuka was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Excellent location and the most beautiful room full of antiques from our whole trip. And we stayed in places with pools and for stars. Couldn’t have been better. The breakfast was in the room and outstanding as well. 5 stars!
- Agota (10/5): - Top all up
- Alexandra (10/5): - Such a cute B&B! Would definitely stay here again. Central location and easy to get to from the train station. Our room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast served in the room in the morning was great!
- Mike (8/5): - Very quaint little hotel. We stayed in the Renaissance room which was full of antiques and cute amenities. Our host was very gracious and attended to all our questions and requests and she served a lovely breakfast in our room the next morning. The one thing which would have made our stay a little better had there been better lighting in the bathroom. It was a bit dark and a nightlight would have been good too.
- Luca (10/5): - Wonderful little hotel managed by lovely people. Lots of character and super central, definitely recommended!
- Russell (10/5): A little gem - Nothing but praise for Yuka and Le Petit Tertre. Every request and question before arrival was dealt with efficiently with friendliness. When we got lost (our fault for following Google maps) Yuks came and found us. The rooms were exactly as the pictures showed and the description and the breakfast exceeded our expectations. The location is fantastic and there’s the best of Dijon on the doorstep. Thank you Yuka for making our visit so memorable. We’ll definitely be back
- Vacation37115 (10/5): A real gem - This is a perfect place to spent a night when you are in Dijon. The location is perfect and we could easily park our car in the public garage one block away. The room is spacious and comfortable. Yuka is a perfect host, explaining everything well.
- Russ (10/5): Charming unique hotel - A beautiful unusual hotel room full of lovely antique furniture. Owner really friendly and fantastic continental breakfast. Well worth a visit
- Slim (10/5): - Central location and charming accommodation with nice host
- Alisa (10/5): - The only problem is parking but that is only on arrival. Once you park you don’t need your car at all. It was so centrally located you could walk everywhere. The proprietor was lovely and so cheerful. We will definitely stay here again.
- 453KathyM (10/5): Truly Outstanding Bed & Breakfast - We were met by Yuka and she immediately made us feel very welcome. The apartment was huge and very tastefully decorated. The bed was large and comfortable, had the best shower ever -- great water pressure and roomy, the room was quiet and had rouladen shades. The breakfast was different each day but always had homemade jams and bread. The location was ideal for walking through Dijon. Highly recommend and will return.
- James (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay. The room was huge with an ample bathroom. Breakfast featured an overflowing basket of breads and delicious coffee and orange juice. We loved the art throughout the apartment. Proprietress couldn't have been more helpful. Very "Dijonnaise".
- Douglas (10/5): - Great location in the centre of Dijon. Wonderful breakfast.
- NoelandSharon (10/5): - Wonderful rooms, beautifully appointed and furnished, so spacious for a heritage venue (17th century?). Convenient to railway, shopping, dining, major sites. Our hosts couldn't have been more helpful or welcoming. Dijon was a delightful surprise, one to which we would gladly return, and Le Petit Tertre would be the first hotel we could consider.
- brjd2013 (10/5): Great property, a little quirky, in a super location. - This property is very well located with a quick tram ride from the station and just a short walk to the old town centre [which is where you want to be] We were traveling with two other couples and booked three apartments. The property offers 5 renovated apartments and they are all different and all very comfortable. They were all large with great amenities. The host, Yuka, is awesome and makes an extra effort to make sure you have everything you need.
If you have issues with stairs or general access then ensure you get the ground floor apartments.
- Lori (10/5): - This was the perfect place for us to stay while in Dijon. It was a 15 min walk from the train station and the host offed ranking the tram, but it was a beautiful day and we enjoyed the well needed walk. It was about a 6 min walk to many wonder restaurants, the market and shops.
The breakfast was fabulous and our host was very helpful with questions. Very clean and description was spot on.
- Jules (10/5): Wonderful apartment - Location is right in town and there is a nice walk that takes in all the main sights. The apartment is really nice French style with a wonderful breakfast.
- James (8/5): Quirky stay for a few days. - The apartment is very different from any other we have stayed in. It certainly has an antique feel due to the furnishings and decor - a kind of weird and eclectic mix.
The owner was very pleasant and presented us with our breakfast on a tray to our room each morning.
The location is ideal as it is only a few minutes away from the main old part of the city.
- James (10/5): Delightful place in the heart of Dijon - It is a delightful place in the heart of Dijon. We booked only one night there but we have enjoyed it very much. The hostess greeted us upon our arrival and explained all we had to know in order to stay comfortably. The room we booked was large, clean and very nicely decorated. The delicious breakfast was served in our room. The croissants were perfect with the home made preserves!
- Kathleen (10/5): - Totally delightful!
- samanthb2015 (10/5): Hidden Gem - Today is check out day, and I thought before I leave I would like to share my experience with you... Le Petit Tertre is a wonderful hidden gem, in a most convenient location in the wonderful cleanest city of Dijon.... The treat you receive for breakfast is well worth getting up for.. Home made jams, breads gorgeous coffee fruits yoghurts. Thank you so much we have enjoyed our stay and will be a memory forever.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful location and owner-nice breakfast and amenities. Check in was late 6:45 and we had a lot of bags but owner made up for that with great customer service!
- Ed (10/5): Stay here - Great place to stay, very good location, an old building well kept. Breakfast in your room cannot be better
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is a nice old building and is decorated with antique furniture but has very modern and nice bathrooms. A breakfast was brought to the room. It was more a continental type but good. Manager was very nice and accommodating. We loved the old part of Dijon.
- Jason (10/5): Christmas Getaway - Loved this apartment, has that home away from home feeling with its upstairs bedroom and very large bathroom.Tucked away from busy area but close enough to walk to all that Dijon had to offer. Great city with its Christmas markets and old world charm. The young lady who checked us in was very pleasant, she brought us a different French breakfast every morning at whatever time we wanted it brought to our room.My new home away from home whenever I go back to Dijon, loved the stay.
- mspickypants (10/5): Perfect Apartments, Breakfast & Hostess! - I was to stay for 2 nights beginning on Sunday and leaving Tuesday, but I decided to stay an extra night in order see the Les Halles Market and travel to Strasbourg one day later. Yuka (the owner) said I could, though I would need to move to another room. I was first in the Regencie, with the great kitchen, bed like a cloud and wonderful bathroom. I was moved (by Yuka while I was out) to the Roman Room, with the canopied 4 post bed (like a cloud!) and the wonderful claw-footed bathtub- it was heaven!. However, I was awakened in the night by family looking for me as the were worried I was in the Wednesday Strasbourg Market attack. I assured them that due to my gluttony, I stayed in Dijon and was not at the Christmas Market... I read the news and the terrorist was still at large and Strasbourg Markets would be closed. I asked Yuka if she could keep me 2 more nights until I was to go to Brussels. She said yes, but I would have to change rooms... I was move to a new unit that has not even been put online yet. It is wonderful! 2 beds, a brand new bathroom I would love in my own home and a kitchenette and roof top views from the master. Beds like clouds!
OK, so that's the various rooms. Let's talk about Yuka and breakfast. Yuka is dynamo! Her breakfasts each day are delivered on a tray to your room at a time of your choosing. There are 3-4 types of bread, rolls, croissant / pastry all served with homemade fruit preserves. accompanied by eggs & bacon one morning, ham and cheese a couple of times, hard boiled eggs, etc., and always with fresh fruit and juice, coffee how you like it or tea with honey. Best breakfast ever!
The rooms are spotless and Yuka's laundry (sheets & towels) all smell like fresh cotton clouds. I really felt like home here!
- Russill (10/5): - Very cozy hotel room convenient walk to the major sightseeing in Dijon.
- JustBeachin55 (10/5): Great Location in Dijon - We found this place on Trip Advisor and are glad we did. Check in was so easy, which is always a worry when there isn’t a front desk. We got in early one day before regular check in and were allowed to leave our luggage. The owners are SO nice and accommodating.
The rooms are lovely and roomy. We were in Dijon on two different occasions so had a chance to try two rooms. Both were perfect. Breakfast is served in the room, so I didn’t even have to get dressed! One morning we had to leave around 6AM and Yuka brought our breakfast the night before. So nice.
You won’t go wrong staying here. There is even a delicious creperie a couple of doors down.
- Edward (10/5): Great hotel, location and service - On this trip we stayed in several different hotels in Switzerland and France. This is a private residence, so not a major chain. The room was very nice and uniquely decorated, different than typical hotel chains. Out of all the places we stayed, the included breakfast here was by far the best. We would definitely stay here again. Owner was nice and friendly.
- johnmF2275II (10/5): Wonderful, convenient and great value - We travelled with another couple through burgogne, stopping in Dijon. We booked Le Petit Tertre online, and when we checked out the only payment was state taxes of .6 euro per person per day.
The location is very near the Halles market and convenient to seeing much of the city.
Everything was clean and well kept. Our rooms each had a nice bath and an area to prepare meals, with a refrigerator and cabinets with dishes, etc. Wi-Fi was easily connected.
Yuka brought us a great breakfast of eggs, fresh bread, orange juice, homemade marmalade and tea / coffee. It was so pleasant to have a quiet breakfast in our room!
We highly recommend!
- Louise (10/5): - Our hostess was very welcoming and gracious. She treated us to a superb « petit déjeuner » every morning. The location was amidst the picturesque old city of Dijon. Easy waking distance to all of the sights and shopping.
- catronburke (8/5): Great location! - This B&B is in a great location for exploring Dijon, easy walking distance to anything we wanted to do, as well as from the train station. We stayed in the Empire room, which was probably a poor choice for us, as the bedroom is upstairs (very creaky, loud stairs!) and the bathroom is on the first level. We’re in our sixties and get up several times during the night, so it was inconvenient. Also, the ceiling above the bed upstairs is sloping, which meant that my husband had to contort himself to get in and out of the bed in the dark. I’d chosen this room because there is a single bed on the first floor and I often need another place to sleep due to my husband’s snoring. However, the bed doesn’t seem meant for sleeping—it’s quite hard and the provided pillow was very hard and uncomfortable. If those things don’t bother you, and if you’re an antique lover (we’re not), this might be a great place for you. The bathroom was very spacious and modern and Yuka was a charming host. The location is worth a lot and there aren’t very many B&Bs in Dijon.
