Desde el primer momento nos hemos sentido como en casa, gracias al trato cercano y profesional de los dueños. Mención especial para Mustafá, que ha sido excepcional durante toda la estancia: siempre atento, amable y dispuesto a ayudarnos en todo lo que necesitábamos, desde recomendaciones locales hasta cualquier detalle del día a día. Su hospitalidad ha marcado realmente la diferencia. El riad es precioso, muy bien cuidado y con una decoración tradicional marroquí que crea un ambiente acogedor y auténtico. Las habitaciones estaban impecables, cómodas y tranquilas, perfectas para descansar después de recorrer la ciudad. Además, el desayuno era delicioso y muy completo, con productos frescos y típicos. La ubicación también es ideal, ya que permite moverse fácilmente por los principales puntos de interés. Sin duda, una experiencia de 10 que repetiríamos sin pensarlo. ¡Totalmente recomendable!

The rooms are small and the morning was quite cold. However i arrived on a cold day in january, so usually this should not be a problem. Overall i had a very good short stay

- Jean (10/5): Very pleasant stay at this riad - I had a very pleasant one-night stay at this riad. I especially appreciated its location, right in the heart of the typical streets of the Marrakech medina. The neighbourhood is authentic, peaceful, and much less touristy than other areas, allowing you to experience real local life. The staff are exceptionally kind and welcoming. Always happy to chat, they gave me excellent recommendations for nearby museums and restaurants, which I really appreciated. The main square is about a 20-minute walk away, and the entrance to the souk is only around 5 minutes away, which is very convenient. I don’t understand some of the negative comments about the location this is a place for those looking for an authentic experience, not a touristy one. That’s exactly what makes it so special. I highly recommend this riad for the warmth of its staff and its unique location. I hope to come back soon for a longer stay! Everything was perfect

It says in the booking web page that is in the city centre next to medina square and it stays in a maze in the very old and scary part of the city The property has a big carpet/mat in the bedroom that during night I called the receptionist for help use the toilet because there was a black out on the Riad and the receptionist that says 24hrs (it is a scam too) was sleeping 7 am when I had a fall in the mat and neeede medical assistance and the receptionist called the police instead. After explaining the Situation using google translator the ambulance came and was able to take me to a private hospital to have e x rays The owner throw me and my minor children away from The Riad in the middle of the night and I had to carry all my stufff by myself and find a taxi all by myself and go to city centre to find a new hotel and we just find an expensive one makbrouk roof top. I was charge the whole stay but didn’t stay the whole stay at this place

Destacar la amabilidad del chico de recepción, nos dio muy buenas recomendaciones y además cada mañana nos hizo un desayuno estupendo (uno de los días nos preparó un picnic porque salíamos justo a la hora de inicio del desayuno). La cama muy cómoda. Aunque vimos varios comentarios sobre la ubicación, por nuestra parte nos gustó, ya que aunque está a unos 20 minutos de la plaza, a los 5' ya te encuentras paseando por las callejuelas de la medina. Buena relación calidad-precio.
- Nicole (4/5): We don’t recommend this Riad - The housekeeping lady is the highlight of this riad. She is incredibly dedicated – our beds were made perfectly every day and the rooms were kept as clean as possible. A very nice touch was the fresh Batbout bread she bakes herself every evening for the next day’s breakfast. The breakfast itself is a typical Moroccan spread and overall fair. The riad staff present during the day were friendly and polite. Condition of the riad: Unfortunately, the physical condition of the riad does not fully match the photos shown online. The furniture and upholstery appear quite worn, and the mattress in our room was completely depleted and uncomfortable. Sanitation issues: The most disappointing part was the sanitation. In our bathroom there was a persistent and very strong sewage smell. Management’s only attempt to fix the problem was pouring chlorine into the drain, which only masked the odor temporarily. Eventually, I had to block the drain myself with a cloth to make the room bearable. Later we also noticed incense sticks in the bathroom and a strong smoke smell, which seemed like an attempt to cover up the drainage issue rather than solving it. Throughout our stay we contacted management multiple times via the Booking platform and asked for a room change, but most of our messages remained unanswered. Location: The riad is located in Bab Taghzout. The area can be somewhat difficult to navigate due to people trying to misdirect tourists. The distance to the main parts of the Medina is moderate – depending on where you want to go it takes roughly 20–50 minutes on foot. Service and luggage policy: Regarding luggage storage, there is a mandatory fee (50 MAD for <2h, 100 MAD for 2–6h, 150 MAD for 6h+). While this policy is communicated in advance, we were disappointed that management showed absolutely no flexibility or goodwill despite our many documented complaints.

Le petit-déjeuner marocain, copieux et délicieux, est servi sur le rooftop, un vrai plus ! L’hôtel est idéalement situé tout en étant au calme, ce qui rend le séjour encore plus agréable. Salle de bain un peu petite mais c’est pour chipoter et odeur d’humidité qui part si on laisse la fenêtre ouverte la journée

Desde el Riad estas a unos minutos caminando hasta llegar a la entrada del zoco, se encuentra en un barrio nada turístico de Marrakech, tiene su encanto para ver como es de fuera de la plaza y los zocos la vida en la Medina. - paolo (8/5): Un bellissimo soggiorno - Il Riad è situato in una situazione un po' più tranquilla e anche più vera, rispetto alla parte più turistica di Marrakech. La cosa buona è che molto vicino (2 minuti a piedi) c'è una piccola piazza dove le macchine possono venire, nel caso si ha bisogno di un taxi o di una macchina per fare degli spostamenti in altre località. Il personale è gentilissimo e attento a tutto, noi ad esempio ci siamo affidati a loro per organizzare tutti i viaggi (deserto, mare, montagna) e ci siamo trovati benissimo. Mustafà che fa la notte nel Riad fino alla mattina è una persona disponibilissima, ci preparava la colazione per il viaggio in un sacchetto, anche se partivamo in orari molto presto, dove ancora la colazione non veniva servita. La stanza che abbiamo preso all'ultimo momento la sera prima della partenza, per un disguido con un altro Riad, era piccola, ma molto bene tenuta, con un bagno pulitissimo. Ogni giorno c'era il personale che la ripuliva e faceva il cambio degli asciugamani. Appena usciti dalla stanza c'era una terrazza molto carina con sedie e tavoli e salendo una scaletta un'altra terrazza dove poter prendere il sole e rilassarsi. Non c'è stata una cosa in particolare che non mi sia piaciuta, forse potendo scegliere (ma è stata colpa nostra che per il disguido abbiamo prenotato all'ultimo momento) una stanza leggermente più grande e magari con due sedie dove potersi mettere, ma ripeto appena uscivamo dalla stanza c'era tutto a disposizione.

Właściciel Mustafa bardzo miły i pomocny, zawsze służył radą. Jak mieliśmy wycieczkę o 8 przygotował nam na wynos śniadanie o 7:40 mimo tego że są wydawane śniadania od 8 do 10 Nieszczelne okna i słabo działające ogrzewanie, ale w ciepłe miesiące to nie problem

- Flavie (10/5): Super séjour à Marrakech 🌵 - Le Riad les jardins des lilas est super bien placé. Dans le quartier de la médina à 15min des premiers souks mais en étant au calme. Les chambres sont biens, la salle de bains aussi, ainsi que la literie. Le personnel a été adorable, nous tenons à remercier Mustapha pour sa gentillesse, ainsi qu’à son collègue, la femme de ménage et le chauffeur de taxi jusqu’à l’aéroport. Tout le monde a été très gentil avec nous. Le petit déjeuner est copieux mais peu varié (c’est le seul « point moins positif ») Tout le reste était superbe. Si nous revenons à Marrakech, nous reviendrons ici grâce au personnel et à la localisation. Merci à tous, à bientôt Inshalla :)

- Simone - Germany (6/5): Enttäuscht vom Aufenthalt nach den guten Bewertungen - Sehr netter Empfang sowie exzellente Betreuung von Rezeptionist & Nachtwächter Mustafa (der bei mir als Alleinreisende auch schonmal nachgefragt hat ob alles ok sein wenn man sehr spät noch nicht zurück war von einer Tour). Insgesamt spiegeln die Bewertungen jedoch nicht den Zustand des Riad wieder (m.E. überbewertet). Die Auflagen auf der Dachterrasse waren feucht und haben allesamt Stockflecken - also nicht einladend. Das Bad könnte eine Renovierung vertragen und das Zimmer war dunkel und etwas feucht; der avsierte Handtuchwechsel fand nicht unaufgefordert statt und leider wurden auch ungefragt einfach Dinge entsorgt, welche weder im Mülleimer waren noch auf dem Boden o.ä. lagen - das war nicht in Ordnung. Auch wurden Handtücher, welche OFFENSICHTLICH schmutzig waren und zum Wechsel auf dem Boden lagen einfach nochmal aufgehangen und nicht gewechselt. Auf den Hinweis diesbezüglich wurde geantwortet dass "Handtücher ja auch nicht auf den Boden zu legen seien" das stünde so in den Hausregeln (kleingedruckt). Dafür kann man Handtücher (fürs Gesicht) die auf dem Boden lagen trotzdem nicht wieder aufhängen und fertig, vor allem wenn sie schmutzig sind - absolut unangemessen, auch die Antwort (und natürlich keine frischen Handtücher verfügbar abends).

- Tome (5/5): Se for só para tomar banho e dormir está ok se forem preparados para o nível…… - Da localização (faz-se bem a pé do principal, medina e locais para visitar). Restaurantes e comércio muito perto. No entanto não voltaria, é literalmente num beco, temos que passar por “túneis” e é receoso… Não é por ser um riad porque há riads que não são em becos nem num labirinto de túneis… Funcionários simpáticos!!! Dão toalhas e shampo, sabonete e gel de banho. Pequeno almoço ok (pão, “crepes”, iogurte, manteiga, doces, mel, queijo vaca que ri, chá, café, leite e sumo de laranja de pacote). O quarto não tinha um cheiro agradável, a casa de banho era muito pequena e a banheira inundava facilmente, tinha muitas formigas a casa de banho e quarto! O quarto é mesmo muito pequeno e não há espaço para nada, o armário cheirava mesmo mal… Os quartos são literalmente pegados uns aos outros, com portas de vidro… As janelas ficam nos pés da cama e entra sempre luminosidade pois o que fecha tanto as janelas como a porta de vidro é um cortina que não tapa tudo sequer… As coisas não estavam 100% limpas, ou havia cabelos, ou pingas, ou mesmo “aspeto sujo”… No booking está escrito que há secador no entanto só há um e roda de quarto em quarto… Tive que esperar mais de uma hora com o cabelo molhado para que a hóspede que tinha o secador chegasse ao quarto para que o secador pudesse vir para o meu, uma vez que só há um… se a pessoa estivesse a dormir ou nem estivesse lá mais, não iria existir secador… que é muito fraquinho e com fita cola lá pelo meio… Os lençóis estavam furados… Opinião geral: foi um pouco decepcionante uma vez que o riad está avaliado em 8.7, o que acho um absurdo e não é real, mesmo, mas quem estiver preparado e souber para o que vai, está ok… No nosso caso fomos um pouco “enganados” pela pontuação… No nosso caso só utilizamos para tomar banho e dormir mas mesmo assim achamos muito abaixo de 8.7… É um pouco sujo…

- Lorenzo (7/5): Nella media - Carina la struttura. Ottima la pulizia Letti comodi. Stanza al secondo piano con scale strette e difficili da percorrere con i bagagli. Posizione non ottimale, in una strada stretta e nascosta, difficile da trovare. La seconda volta per tornare al Riad, nel tardo pomeriggio, ci siamo persi perché su Maps le strade non vengono indicate bene. Ci siamo trovati per strada con dei bambini che ci seguivano continuando a dirci che stavamo sbagliando e di seguire loro. Esperienza spiacevole. Il ragazzo che fa la notte e le colazioni é di poche parole ed un po’ lento a preparare la colazione (anche perché solo) mentre i due ragazzi presenti al pomeriggio erano più simpatici.

Con ganas de ayudar en todo momento y con muy buena actitud Algunas habitaciones no tenían ventanas y era muy oscuras. El lugar donde se encuentra está complicado de llegar y muy escondido entre callejuelas estrechas y solitarias.

- Carlos (3/5): - Lo céntrico. No tiene parking aunque lo ponen como que tienen. Mucho cuidado la zona está llena de gente que suele pedir limosna de forma bastante agresiva. Nos comentaron que es normal y tuvimos que darles.
- Giulia (9/5): - Struttura nuova e arredata con gusto, siamo stati due notti e ci è persino stata pulita la stanza. Situata in posizione leggermente fuori dal caos dalla Medina e dalle zone più turistiche ma in 20 min a piedi si è dovunque e per noi non è stato affatto un problema. Il proprietario ci ha dato le giuste informazioni e i riferimenti per poterci muovere all’interno della Medina e raggiungere il riad con facilità , ci son stati inoltre dati ottimi consigli su ristoranti o luoghi che meritavano essere visitati. La camera che ci hanno assegnato era senza finestre (cosa molto comune nei riad), ma gli spazi in comune hanno saputo compensare, un vero plus la terrazza! Ottima anche la colazione!

A friend joined my trip at the last minute and they sorted everything out. Airport taxi service, incredible breakfast and very good value for money. Thank you for your kindness! Everything was perfect. The streets leading to the riad are under construction. But I really like the neighbourhood because it's very authentic and it's about a 25-minute walk to the square.

- Ana (7/5): Uma boa estadia para um preço baixo… - A simpatia dos funcionários e a localização. O pequeno almoço também era bom com bastante variedade, um sumo de laranja natural todos os dias muito bom. A piscina dava para refrescar, meter os pés de molho, mas não se iludam, é muito pequena. O quarto onde ficámos 3 pessoas não tinha janelas, apesar de ter ar condicionado não era muito potente e o quarto de noite ficava muito quente. Além disso as toalhas são trocadas de 3 em 3 dias e disseram nos que tinham trocado logo no primeiro dia, o que não se notou, mas como a meio da estadia fomos ao deserto elas ficaram todas sujas e depois não estavam a arranjar solução para nos trocar, quando se via perfeitamente que elas estavam todas sujas.
