• Louise (9/5): Le calme de la maison sous les arbres - L'environnement en pleine nature boisée à seulement 15 minutes des commerces. Nous avons eu une très grande chambre et avons profité du grand balcon. Les équipements étaient adéquats. Tout était très propre. Les déjeûners étaient santé et très généreux. La sélection des canaux de télévision.

• Sarah (10/5): Characterful, clean and cosy with great hosts - We had a wonderful stay in the family suite at Misty Meadows. The room was clean and a lovely space to be in. The location worked well for us, a 30 minute drive to downtown Victoria if not travelling in rush hour, and it was nice to stay somewhere beautiful and quiet. Errol and Cathy were friendly and attentive but gave us plenty of space, and Cathy made us an excellent breakfast, also going to the trouble of preparing a packed breakfast when we had to leave very early on our last morning. Their very affectionate feline co-hosts Jewel and Gem were also much appreciated.
• Swen (10/5): - The property is a very quiet getaway from all the buzz of Victoria. Breakfasts were hearty, healthy home cooked and tasted amazing. Cathy and Errol were lovely hosts and offered info on sites to see and places to get some good food, because it was our first time on the island. Definitely a place to be if you planning super busy days in and around Victoria and then need a peaceful rest at the end of the day. Kids are also entertained with the animals they have. My kids enjoyed the cats a lot and the sheep which brought such amusement to them. We have told all our friends about the place.

We really enjoyed the breakfast she cooked and we even met some other guests during breakfast who were visiting from Denmark. Would definitely recommend! Everything was comfortable for our stay, no negatives here. Probably the road is a bit windy to get down to the b&b but again, pleasurable stay 🙂
• Janine (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay at the Misty Meadows B&B. Our hosts Errol and Cathy were delightful and they made us feel extremely welcome in their home. We stayed in the Paris room which was nice and spacious with a great size private en-suite. This room also had a private balcony which was relaxing to sit out on. The bed, pillows, sheets and towels were all high quality which added to the comfort of our stay. Finally, the location of this property is really quiet and peaceful. It was easy to find and it is extremely convenient for driving to Butchart Gardens. I would stay here again if we were in the area and I highly recommend it.

The owner gave helpful tips for our stay on Vancouver Island along with a great breakfasts to start the day. • Irene (10/5): Wonderful 3 days at Misty Meadow. - We can only suggest this location wholeheartedly. This is a beautiful B&B, quiet, of the beaten path in the woods. Very relaxing, the owners made us feel like home. Cathy and her husband are very friendly, knowledgeable hosts. It is a little drive away from Victoria, but for anybody who wants to be away from the hubbub of a big city, but not too far away from it, this is perfect. We loved it and would stay there again in a heartbeat. Breakfast was delicious, rooms are very clean comfortable and nicely decorated. Cathy also had prepared a lot of local information for us. We had a marvelous time. Can't think of anything.

Cathy’s breakfasts are incredible and Erroll was so great taking our daughter down to feed the donkey. We had an early flight and Cathy packed us a travel breakfast for the drive to the airport and snacks for once we were through security, it was really appreciated.

We enjoyed hearing the birds in the mornings and our daughter loved getting to feed Noah the donkey each morning. Cathy’s breakfasts are incredible and she did such an amazing job putting together something fun for our three year old each day. The two-bed suite was perfect for our family.
• Michelle (9/5): Relax and unwind in a calming setting after a day of sightseeing and exploring. - Misty Meadows is surrounded by tall trees and nature, making it a perfect spot if you are looking for peace and quiet after a long day. There are walking trails, conservation areas, as well as many other local attractions nearby. Victoria is about a 35 minute drive. Families with young children would enjoy the sheep and the little donkey that are on the premises. Carol is a wonderful host.

With five people, we needed to use the pullout couch in addition to the two double beds. The breakfast was super nice, and options were offered to young family members who are picky about what they eat :)

Cathy's breakfasts were so creative, tasty, bountiful and a feast for the eyes as well as our stomachs! The property is beautifully decorated, very comfortable, spacious bedrooms with balconies, lovely landscape of trees. We also thoroughly enjoyed their lovely pets, Kenzie the lab, Jule and Gem, their cats and Noah the adorable donkey! We highly recommend staying at their lovely home.

Helpful advice on local attractions and features Small disadvantage in having to negotiate narrow winding road at night if out for a meal. But that is the only hint of a downside, not a criticism, and of course it goes with the peaceful isolation.

The bathroom is very nice, there are even bath robes. The huge balcony with plenty of seating. Home-made breakfast. This is very personal, but would prefer no carpet in the bedroom.

• Joy (10/5): Cathy and Erroll have great energy, a beautiful property and it is very clean. - Cathy and Erroll were quite accommodating with my allergies to cat by having the cat in their room and the no cheese in my breakfast. I wasn’t prepared for the well water as it smelled like sulfur when I used the facilities. It wasn’t a deal breaker though. I’m sure to other people it might be off putting.

Unable to lock balcony door or room door when going out. Family were in all day so no outsiders got in.

The freshly prepared breakfast was outstanding! Their two cats and two dogs are lovely. The interiour and decoration of the room was very tastful and of high quality with love for the detail. It is definitely worth to drive a few extra miles to reach this property, if you search for a quiet and peaceful location to relax from an eventful day. Everything ok, nothing to complain.

• Michael (10/5): - We had a lovely time, great B&B! We enjoyed the visit of the property with the owners, the fact that it was so quiet. Such an experience with the sheep, donkey and poney around at the farm. Our girls really appreciated the dogs and cats. The breakfast is excellent and served with love and attention. There is a big shared leaving room and the host make you feel really comfortable and respect your privacy. Even if it’s a bit of a drive from Victoria, we would definitely go back.

We enjoyed our excellent breakfasts which were adjusted for a food intolerance with no fuss and appreciated our chats with Errol while we ate. Special shout out to the critter welcome committee who allowed lots of petting. Regarding location, GPS had no problem getting us there, but we would recommend “county” driving speed as both deer and cyclists share the twisty upper-downy roads!

There are a lot of hiking trails in the area and lake near by, castle, garden, lagoon and the beach as well as restaurant. Kathy served us a very delicious healthy breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommended. Thanks to Kathy and Errol.
• Patty (10/5): - We spent a Girls Weekend with my daughters at Misty Meadows this last weekend and it was wonderful. The large guest suite is cozy, comfy, and private. Our host Cathy and Errol were so nice and welcoming. Cathy is an amazing cook and our breakfasts were extra special. Thank you for the great stay!

• Jill (8/5): - This BnB is north of the hustle and bustle of Victoria, and we enjoyed driving the scenic winding country road that led to their home. The suite of 2 rooms + bathroom is inside the hosts’ home, with additional access to a living room downstairs as well as the dining room where the huge, delicious breakfasts are served. The room was very peaceful, decorated in the same homey style as the rest of the house, and two very friendly Labrador dogs are onsite to spread cheer and smiles.
