• Adrian (8/5): Beautiful place in a slightly remote hilly location - Beautiful views. Good breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. These are not complaints, but things to be aware of. The property is on a hillside, and both inside and outside there are lots of ups and downs. You need to have good personal mobility. Also, if you don’t have your own transport, you will rely on Grab Food for lunch and dinner.
• Lucia (10/5): A peaceful stay with some delicious frozen durian - The Deluxe Villa had a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the forest — it faces the west coast of Pulau Pinang so I enjoyed many sunset swims. The fridge in the villa was so helpful for storing my lunches and dinners so I could heat them up in the kitchen. The desk was perfect as I spent a lot of my time here working. Thank you to the Bao Sheng owner and the staff as well for providing me with some delicious frozen durian from the last harvest as I arrived a bit too early for the 2026 durian season! Not cons, just heads-up for logistical planning: the location is quite remote so plan your transportation in advance as Grab pick-ups can be tricky as the farm is at the top of a hill — either have a car, a bike or a driver available to make life a bit easier! Be prepared to either leave the farm for lunch and dinner as the farm restaurant only serve breakfast.

• Lucy (10/5): Stunning setting with our own infinity pool - We stayed in the deluxe villa so we really enjoyed having our own private infinity pool immersed in nature. The villa had a touch of luxury whilst being traditional and authentic and despite being so remote we had no issues getting Grab services for rides and food. The staff were really friendly and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We had mosquito nets, plug ins and spray but we were both still bitten a lot so just a heads up to come prepared.

• Michaela (6/5): Superior Charlet nicht zu empfehlen! - Die Aussicht aus dem Zimmer, das Frühstück und die Freundlichkeit des Personals. (Unbedingt eigenes Fahrzeug benötigt! Grab weigert sich oft dort hin zu fahren) das „Superior Charlet“ war eine absolute Frechheit! 2 Nächte 680RM für dieses zimmer sind eindeutig zu viel! Vermutlich eins der wenigen Zimmer das noch nicht renoviert wurde. der Boden hat Löcher und darunter schlafen die Hunde die die ganze Nacht gebellt haben. Auch Hühner haben ab 5 Uhr früh geschrien. Badezimmer offen bzw. In das ganze Zimmer können Insekten und Mücken komme. Das „Mückennetz“ über dem Bett ist oben offen. Die Bretter auf dem Weg zum Charlet sind alt und brüchig. Badezimmer stinkt. Dieses Zimmer ist sehr heruntergekommen und sollte erst renoviert werden bevor es für so eine Preis vermietet wird!

The drivers reccomended on their website were great and arrived early and were a good, reasonable price. I was confused from the FAQ online I thought dinner was provided at the farm stay. But this is only for durian tour & stay packages. So ordered Grab Eats once arrived. Also wish the pool was for everybody ! The pools looked soooo beautiful!

Der kleine Aufenthaltsraum war toll mit Billiard und wir durften uns absolut frei bewegen. Die Hunde und Katzen total lieb und süß. Die Villa war geräumig, sauber und toll eingerichtet. Frühstück sehr gut und frisch zubereitet. Kaffee sehr lecker und es wurde auf alle Wünsche geachtet. Lage im Dschungel außerordentlich. Im Außenbereich fehlten uns ein kleiner Tisch und 1-2 liegen am Pool.
• See Heow (1/5): A very bad experience and a waste of my money! - There is nothing we liked there. 1) The main objective booking 5-8 Jan 2026 with Bao Sheng Durian Farm was based on Boa Sheng Youtube to experience life at a Durian Farm. We did not had the experience we wanted there on 5th and 6th Jan 2026. 2) Our bedroom has a nice view BUT the bedroom furniture was poorly maintain with a poor quality ‘WET’ bathroom ….. for the price we paid for RM1,041 for 3 night or RM347 per night we paid was NOT worth at all. 3) It made worst with their dog barking all night on 5/1/2026 which we were not able sleep at all! It was too much for us. We decided moved out on 6/1/2026 morning to Gurney Bay Hotel in Geroge Town for the same price per night for 6 – 8 /1/2026 . Gurney Bay Hotel was the best hotel we ever had booked with Booking.com .

• KATERINA (10/5): - Absolutely stunning views, very nice staff, delicious breakfast delivered straight to the room so you can chill on your own tempo while enjoying the view, very flexible with special requests (we checked in late at night and checked out early in the morning). The only minus would be the dogs barking and howling at night in otherwise calm location, but that is really the only thing, would definitely come again.

• Catherine (6/5): Lovely views, good staff, check whether there will be any durian. - The views were stunning & the staff were lovely & very helpful. Our main motivation was to sample different durian. There was nothing in the online info about the lack of durian at certain times of the year and durian sampling sessions were a significant selling point. This struck us as a major omission. There was no price reduction for the absence of durian. The buildings are a little run down & need more maintenance but we’re still comfortable.

La habitación está muy bien y muy limpia, en comparación con otros hoteles de Malasia. El desayuno está bien, aunque demasiado pesado para unos europeos 😅. Pero muy rico! Y el último día nos lo hicieron en picnic para llevar. El personal es súper amable!! El dueño también, nos ayudó con un problema, fue muy servicial y eficiente. El precio, para una habitación sin balcón y sin acceso a la piscina lo veo un poco elevado. Yo me confundí con el anuncio de Booking y pensé que teníamos acceso a una piscina, pero aparentemente son de uso exclusivo de las habitaciones superiores. Por eso, creo que el precio de la habitación sencilla es bastante elevado. La ubicación, a cambio de tranquilidad, estás un poco lejos del resto de servicios (restaurantes, playas, actividades…). Al no servir ni comidas ni cenas te ves obligado a desplazarte entre 35-50 minutos hasta algún pueblo con restaurantes.

Ce qui as rendu notre séjour encore inoubliable fut le personnel et le propriétaire ! Des gens au grand coeur et d’une gentillesse ! Mention pour les petits déjeuners délicieux ! Tout était parfait ! Il faut simplement garder en tête que la tranquillité se paye… il n’y as absolument rien à côté à pieds et le centre ville se trouve à 40/50min.

On both mornings, the receptionist asked what drink I would like for breakfast, but I was given a different drink without being informed. Still, overall the place was very satisfying, and I truly enjoyed the moment.

We would have preferred more options especially for those who are vegetarian. The staff were friendly as they accommodated our request. We understood that the premise is undergoing renovation, hence, some of the structures looked haggard. Looking forward to a renovated stay.

Waking up to spectacular views and enjoying a delicious breakfast while watching the beautiful Malaysian birds flit about or perch in the trees right in front of me was an absolute delight. As a keen birdwatcher, I loved spending hours simply observing the vibrant feathered activity. It was the perfect way to unwind. I came here to de-stress, relax, and take peaceful walks, and this place delivered on all fronts. From the breakfast bungalow, you can even catch breathtaking sunsets. It’s truly a wonderful spot to chill and recharge. No complaints, but just be aware that they only serve breakfast. For dinner, you'll need to dine out or order food using the free app 'Grab,' which is very convenient. I found the place perfectly tidy, but keep in mind that these are old wooden structures, so they might come across as a bit shabby to guests accustomed to 5-star hotels. If you prefer staying closer to bars, restaurants, or the lively action of George Town, you might want to consider accommodations on the east side of Penang instead.

The staff were so incredibly helpful and even delivered some items of clothing to me in Penang that I had left behind! We would love to return and would book a room with a pool. From the photographs on the site I thought that I was booking a room with a pool attached. My family and I were disappointed to discover that the room we had booked did not come with a pool, as it was very hot. It would be helpful to be more clear which rooms came with a pool and which don't. Also it is a remote location, so it can be difficult to get a taxi if you don't drive. It's better to hire a car.

The window in the toilet doesn't have curtains. It will be good to have curtains or blinders so people can choose to shower with a view or without a view. The entrance road is so steep, beware if your car is lowered.
