Akram (9/5): The friendliest and most helpful hotel crew - The staff are all amazing. They are extremely friendly and helpful. There was natural honey comb during breakfast which was great together with a lot of fresh fruit. The location is peaceful but a bit faraway from Alexandria main city and it can be difficult to get an Uber sometimes. It would have helped if the hotel offered a shuttle bus or perhaps someone with standard rates. Breakfast food is ok but somethings can be better like hotdogs.

Nos vinieron a recoger pues a esas horas era complicado pedir un taxi. El hotel es maravilloso con 3 piscinas para relajarte las habitaciones amplias y bonitas el servicio muy bueno y el personal amable dispuesto ayudar en todo lo que necesitamos Todo perfecto

Dan (10/5): - I had another very pleasant stay at Africana Hotel & Spa. The hotel remains a quiet and comfortable place, perfect for rest after a long trip. I would especially like to mention the night receptionist, AMR (I hope I spelled his name correctly). Because my flights usually arrive late at night, every time I come he is there — always calm, professional, and very kind. He facilitates the check-in process extremely quickly, which is something you truly appreciate after a long journey. He has also been very helpful regarding invoices and documentation, handling everything efficiently and with great professionalism. I would like to thank the entire team for their hospitality, kindness, and professionalism. Once again, a wonderful experience — 10+!

The pool area is pleasant, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable..I really appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and the kindness of all the staff — from the security guard to every person I met. People know how to keep a smile on their faces, even though it’s clear that life is not easy in that area. Congratulations to everyone for their warmth and attitude! Breakfast could be improved by adding higher-quality products, especially regarding cold cuts and cheeses. It would also be nice to have an better espresso machine offering better coffee at breakfast, matching the overall standard of the hotel. . I believe the price could be slightly lower, considering the area and the overall services provided.

Evangelia (5/5): Spacious Hotel with Good Dinner but Not Ideal for Non-Smokers or Solo Female Travelers - I stayed at the Africana Hotel and Spa just outside of Alexandria for a few nights while attending an event nearby. The hotel itself is very large, with multiple pools, a restaurant, and a buffet breakfast. My room was very spacious, which I appreciated, and overall, the facilities were well maintained. However, I found that the staff weren’t particularly friendly or welcoming. I’m not sure if it was due to cultural reasons, my being a solo female traveler, or simply the hotel’s service style, but it didn’t feel very warm or personable. The biggest issue for me was that all the rooms allow smoking, and as a non-smoker, that made my stay quite uncomfortable. My room reeked of cigarette and cigar smoke — it lingered on the bedding, pillows, curtains, and even the walls. The smell was overwhelming and made it hard to relax or sleep comfortably. On a positive note, the dinner at the hotel restaurant was really good and reasonably priced, while the breakfast was just okay. Overall, the hotel served its purpose for the event I needed to attend, but I wouldn’t recommend it for solo female travelers or non-smokers. With a bit more warmth from the staff and designated non-smoking rooms, it could be a much better experience.

Dan (9/5): Superb - I had a pleasant stay at Africana Hotel & Spa. The peaceful atmosphere and the comfort of the room made a big difference. Everything was clean, spacious, and well maintained, and the staff was friendly and responsive. Breakfast was good, but there is room for improvement – a bit more variety and fresh options would make it even better. The hotel is located in a quiet area, which is perfect for resting, although a bit far from the city center – but this can be an advantage, depending on what you're looking for. Our request for adjacent rooms was honored, which we appreciated. Overall, a great price-quality ratio, and I would gladly return or recommend it to other travelers.I would also like to express my appreciation for Shireen, a remarkable person I first met at this hotel 4-5 years ago. She is truly dedicated and deeply involved in her work, and it was a pleasure to see her again. The airport transfer was well organized and offered at a fair price ( 600 egp), which we greatly appreciated. One thing that could be improved is the cleanliness of the hallways and reception area – these shared spaces would benefit from more frequent and thorough cleaning. The room itself was very clean and well maintained, but from my personal point of view, the overall impression would be even better if the common areas matched the same standard.

Ms Shireen and Mr Asharaf are the best managers, giving assitance and solutions to any problem, internal or externals. I consider them as my friends. Thank for all the attentions!

Staff are super friendly and helpful. we ordered from " Room dine-in and all cheif recommendations were delicious & portions were alot. both bathroom & jacozy were clean & good space. for sure free safe parking Nothing but only to put more photos of the suite and view on booking because it's alot nicer than what's shown on booking

The room was spacious and comfortable. The balcony has a sea wiev. The breakfast was very good with vast options of pastries.

Hany (6/5): Good place but nightshift reception person was rude and lied - Food, cleaning staff and breakfast area staff The person at the reception denied my booking through booking.com and kept trying to convince me it’s a different website that I booked through and it’s a 3rd part to booking.com and I had bad argument with him and left the hotel because he refused to accept the reference number I had from booking.com and said there is no availability for us then followed us outside the property and asked us to come back then said he will give us a room. The other part was inside the room the balcony door was broken and can’t use it couldn’t open it because it’s broken

I loved the place . Nothing except the seats inside the hotel resto-caffee should be more comfortable but still the available ones are acceptable .
