- Doris (8/5): Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden und können das Hotel weiterempfehlen. - Die Lage war sehr gut. Innert kürzester Zeit waren wir mitten in der Altstadt. Der Zimmerservice könnte noch verbessert werden. Gläser wurden nicht ersetzt, Kaffee nicht aufgefüllt, halbvolle Mineralflasche stand im Zimmer.

- Alison (9/5): A lovely hotel with high standards of food, service and cleanliness, in an excellent location. - The Gewandhaus is ideally located, within a short walk of the Altstadt and all of its attractions, but close enough to tram lines also, for when I didn't feel like walking. The Reception team were friendly, welcoming and very helpful, and the breakfasts are bordering on legendary in terms of the variety of foods available. I also treated myself one afternoon to the Kuchen Atelier in the hotel's foyer, enjoying patisserie and coffee at leisure. This hotel is strongly recommended. I had requested one large bed, but when I checked in there were 2 small, single duvets on the bed, making it hard to settle comfortably. I asked at Reception that the 2 small duvets be changed to one large duvet, and this was quickly remedied by a very efficient Housekeeping team.

Der Service war absolut unschlagbar und das Essen war himmlisch. Im Bad und im Zimmer war auf einigen Oberflächen etwas Staub zu sehen. Das sollte verbessert werden.

Alles war soweit gut, ich würde 4 Sterne 🌟 geben Beim Duschen war plötzlich das Wasser weg, kann Ja mal passieren, aber nicht wenn man eingeseift ist. Nach ein paar Minuten kam das Wasser wieder. Keine Parkplätze für ein 5 Sterne Hotel , ist sehr ungewöhnlich. Der Pool hat nur 28 Grad, für kleine Kinder ist es zu kalt.

- Klaus (9/5): Beim nächsten Aufenthalt in Dresden werden wir uns wieder für das Hotel Gewandhaus entscheiden! - Für unseren Aufenthalt in Dresden war die Lage des Hotels perfekt, alle Sehenswürdigkeiten der Altstadt fußläufig erreichbar! Frühstück war super und das Klassikzimmer hatte allen Komfort den man sich wünschen kann. Besonders hervorzuheben war die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft der Hotelmitarbeiter! Hat alles gestimmt!

Facilities - blackout curtains , small but beautiful pool and sauna&steam room made it feel like a real vacation even in freezing January. Breakfast - scrumptious breakfast buffet with great fruit, fresh pressed juice and made to order eggs and pancakes. Finally: staff was attentive , solution oriented and kind. Our go to hotel in Dresden now. The beds were a bit hard - and unlike other 5 star hotels , they could not provide a topper for the queen and king rooms ( toppers in junior suite only). They did find a solution which worked for us but something to keep in mind.

Riss in der Badewannenabdeckung. Wasserablauf in der Badewanne ist zu langsam ( Vielleicht dreckig? ). Und schmutziger Vorhang im Bad. Der Fußboden war fleckig.

- Jerzy (5/5): Sadly a disappointment - The staff was friendly, the furniture and style of the hotel was very beautiful, the location is great, the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was ok. The hotel has a pool but doesn't provide flip flops (also not even for sale) which was a first for a five star hotel in our experience. The biggest let down was definitely housekeeping though. We arrived on Wednesday and till Friday nobody noticed that we had run out of shampoo, conditioner and most importantly - toilet paper. So I needed to ask for these in the reception, which was sort of embarassing, but then nobody checked that we were actually also low on shower gel which run out literally that day. Despite asking to restock the mini fridge, it hasn't been done at all. On the first day when we ordered dinner with a bottle of alcohol free prosecco, we were given a glass (a single glass!) so I needed to order the bottle separately. The WiFi on the TV didn't work constantly for some reason so in order to watch Netflix I needed to connect my iPad via HDMI all the time which wasn't that conveniant. Also the drainage in the shower hasn't been cleaned before our arrival so water was standing in the shower basin, probably because the drainage was clogged with hair. Again - these all should be no brainers for a hotel with five stars. The nail in the cofin was the fact that when we were checking out the reception charged us over 300 euros for the stay (which was already paid), which seemed odd so after already leaving the hotel I decided to turn around and just ask why so much and turns out the receptionist got our room number wrong. The money has been returned and as an apology we haven't been charged for the mini fridge but if not for my gut feeling something doesn't add up we might have ended up paying over triple what we actually spent in the hotel. I wish I was not saying this because of how the building looks and how great the location is but we won't be sadly returning here. We visited many many hotels over the years, both five and four stars and this was sadly the worst experience we had so far compared to any of them.

- Lydia (7/5): Insgesamt war es ein guter Aufenthalt! - Die Lage ist perfekt. Der Teppich war sehr fleckig. Ich war enttäuscht, dass ich erst nach der Buchung erfahren habe(bei Anreise), dass die Sauna geschlossen ist. Das war ein Auswahlkriterium, da meine Tochter an diesem Wochenende den Halbmarathon gelaufen ist und ich einen anschließenden Saunabesuch für gut befunden hätte. Wir sind dann an das gegenüberliegende Hotel verwiesen worden. Dort war es aber nicht und wir mussten noch 10 Minuten laufen.

Leider funktioniert die angebotene Abbestellung der Zimmerreinigung nicht. Ich habe zweimal die Reinigung abbestellt. Das Zimmer wurde aber trotzdem gereinigt. Da muss die interne Kommunikation verbessert werden. Enttäuscht war ich vom Restaurant. Auf den Hauptgang musste ich über 30 Minuten warten, und dann war das Essen auch noch lauwarm. Zwar bekam ich sofort und schnell ein neues Gericht. Aber bei den stattlichen Preisen hätte ich ein besseres Niveau erwartet. Das Frühstück ist zwar sehr gut. Aber 35€ sind dafür zu teuer.

- Katja (5/5): Wir übernachten jedes Jahr zur Weihnachtszeit in Dresden und buchen immer wieder hochwertige Hotels. Leider muss ich im - Das Personal war / ist spitze. Egal wer es war. Ob beim Empfang oder im Restaurant, wir wurden immer freundlich empfangen, mit einem Lächeln. Darauf lege ich hohen Wert. Auch das Reinigungspersonal war sehr freundlich und nett. Pluspunkte gibt es auch fürs Bett. Sehr bequem. Wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. Leider gab es viele Punkte die mir nicht zugesagt haben. Für den Preis hätte ich ein wirklich sauberes Zimmer erwartet. Der Teppich ist in die Jahre gekommen, aber so? Ein Fleck am anderen? Die Verkleidung der Heizung ist weiß, deutlich erkennbar die schmutzigen Flusen und das direkt neben dem Bett. Gesund kann das nicht sein. Auch das Bad braucht dringend wieder eine Generalüberholung. Zumindest neue Silikonfugen und etwas Farbe könnten schon helfen. Es sieht ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen aus. Auch sollte mehr darauf geachtet werden, dass zur Verfügung gestellte Artikel wie Duschbad, Körperlotion und Kosmetik Tücher aufgefüllt sind. Zweimal drücken und es war leer. Der Pool Bereich war einladend. Aber das Wasser sehr kalt. Wenig Sitzgelegenheiten.

Wir hatten zwei Zimmer und ich hatte versäumt, zu sagen, dass wir gerne auf eine Etage möchten und spontan wurde rine Alternative angeboten und der Wunsch erfüllt. Bett und Bad waren toll und die Matratze nicht zu weich und trotzdem unheimlich bequem.

- Claudia (8/5): - Super convenient location, close to everything there is to see and do. Loads of cafes, restaurants and shopping. It’s also super close to the train station as well. we enjoyed our stay here, the only issue we had was that the bed was a bit uncomfortable.
- Juliane Henrike (10/5): - Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet in einem historischen Ambiente - genau der richtige Ort für einen Dresden-Aufenthalt. Alles ist von dort gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Sehr freundliches Personal, gutes Frühstück. Gerne wieder.

- Roland (8/5): - Die Lage wurde leider durch ein neues Haus ggü. etwas verbaut, aber trotzdem super zentral. Die Ausstattung und Qualität des Zimmers war top. Beim ersten Frühstück war der Fußboden vom Saft sehr klebrig… so etwas muss dem Personal auffallen… beim 2. Frühstück war alles Bestens. Da war auch eine andere Belegschaft anwesend. Lächelnd und aufmerksam.Die Whirlwanne „wirft“ mit schwarzen Flocken… das ist wirklich toll, auch wenn die Bäder bereits ihre Zeit auf dem Buckel haben.
- jesper (2/5): Sleeping in a construction site! - There to celebrate my girlfriends birthday. When we came there was a big construction site outside. We went for a consert late in the evening and wanted to sleep in a bit. 8 aclock in the morning the where cutting stones outside our window. I contacted them afterwards and raised my concerns and got the reply that this was unfortunate because if we only had told them they had avaleble room in the other side of the hotel and we would not khans to sleep in a construction site. I asked for a compensation but they just made a mockery out of that to. I would recommend you to take you chances some other place.
