Guest Reviews
- Noel (8/5): - Nice staff, good food
- Susan (8/5): - Late check in and they fitted us in at the restaurant which was nice.
- Michael (8/5): - Arrived late. The key was laid out on the table for us and the room was nice - I’d rather not with no air conditioning.
Breakfast was great!
- Ciaran (10/5): Late arrivals - Got to the hotel just befor 22:00, room keys were easy to find and the room was lovely and spacious. Service in the morning was excellent, wonderful people
- John (8/5): Typically French stopover. - The location was ideal for us and the village clean and tidy. The reception was unattended, being Sunday afternoon, but specific details were left at reception. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a good Italian restaurant approximately 300 metres away offering more than just pizzas. Typically French breakfast of croissants and baguette. Friendly staff despite my almost non-existent French.
- Angelina (10/5): - So lovely. 10/10
- Michel (10/5): Hotel d'epoque - Hotel a caractere. Acceuil tres bien et agreable. Personnelle superieure
- Edward (10/5): - Friendly staff, food very good. After a day driving to the area this was all that was needed. This is the third time here and will be back again in autum.
- Marilyn (10/5): - Quiet, good food but bar closed early.
- Oliver (10/5): Fantastic overnight stop! - Absolutely fantastic. Nice little rustic hotel in a nice quiet village. The rooms are basic, but decent and clean, comfortable beds, bathroom was pleasant with a clean toilet, decent shower, just overall decent.
Carpark was great. I usually travel in a nice car which is low and want safe parking, I would have no hesitation stopping here again.
Nice little restaurant and bar/shop downstairs, run by the owners, proper french food, well cooked and decent prices.
Highly recommended if you want a convenient, comfortable and well priced stop.
- Richard (10/5): - Value for money,convenient,pleasant staff
- Wendy (8/5): - Rustig, aardig personeel, fijne kamer en bed
- MARYSE (10/5): - Accueil chaleureux.
Adresse à retenir.
- susan (6/5): - Didn't see anyone on arrival, key left on hall table, no details of where to get a meal, so managed with leftovers we had with us. Saw a man eating a meal left for him, said it had been pre booked. A bit dispiriting on a cold November night. Room was warm though. Didn't see anyone until payment next morning, opted out of breakfast having viewed stale cornflakes, etc. Nov 1 public holiday All Saints but is it always DIY check in?
- Harold (10/5): - Used this for one night stopover from South of France. My wife and I loved the place as soon as we walked in.We found it very homely and secure, clean and comfortable. It was in a small village and was very peaceful. The lady in reception on checkout was very friendly and spoke enough English to communicate. Its the first time we have stopped here and will definitely use this place again.
- C (8/5): Tres bien - Prima zeer gastvrij
- Lydia (8/5): Excellent stopover from or to Calais - The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the rooms, though quite dully decorated, are warm and comfortable, and the bathrooms well equipped and clean. The hotel is conveniently located, a short drive off the A26 motorway, just over 2 hours from Calais. It's in a pleasant village, and benefits from an excellent small baker next door, so the breakfasts, with unlimited coffee and orange juice, also have excellent bread, croissants and pain au chocolates. English breakfasts are also available, but i think cost a bit more. There's also a bar with a terrace overlooking the main square and church
- Gerda (6/5): Tiny - Work was being done, so due to this probably not as clean as should have been. Twin room extremely small. We are 2 small-ish people and could not pass each other in any part of the room
- Myriam (10/5): Une jolie surprise - Super accueil
- Giacomo Valli (10/5): Great surprise - My wife and I were quite pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was a last minute booking and we simply needed a bad for the night on our way back to the UK and looking at the pics online the hotel seemed a bit old. We really had a really comfy night, the room was spacious and clean and very very quite.
We'll definitely stop again if in the area.
- marjet (8/5): on tour to Reims - we chose this hotel because of the place in our cycletour along the frontline of WO!.
It's okay and we could also eat in a restaurant in the village.
So that we could go on next day after breakfast.
- Bruce (6/5): Village experience - The hotel is in a key location for access to important battlefield sites. The promo that it incudes a resaurant is a clourful interpretation. The facility was a robust walk away. Having said that the restaurant was excellent. The in house breakfast was basic, even by French standards. The visit was an enriching insight into village life.
- roger (8/5): Staying at Hotel De Chemin des Dames - Good hotel recently updated. Excellent breakfast. Somewhat disappointed that the restasurant was not on the hotel site but located about 400m away. This restaurant did not look very enticing from outside particularly the menu board which appeared to be very old ond out dated. There was a red "Restaurant Guide" dated 2010! However the meal was very good value, and the staff helpful.
- Vincent (6/5): - étape utilitaire entre Laon et Reims;
- Not Provided (8/5): securite confort - correct
- Verified traveler (8/5): Excellent position for travelling up to Calais. - Warm welcome and present atmosphere. Interesting surroundings to visit whilst staying there. Excellent meal at the restaurant.
- Yves (8/5): Hôtel agréable et accueillant - Bien,tres chaleureux,cadre agréable,a recommandé à toutes personnes qui veulent s'y rendre
