P9621VOvickyf (2/5): Disappointed - Location good. Hall was smokey. They said they would spray. Tv froze every 5 seconds. They said not their issue, the providers have to fix it. Night clerk tried to fix. Pool and area was closed but they do not tell you until you arrive. Room was dated but clean. Complained in the morning to who I believe was owner. Got a sorry but not any type of offer to make amends. I will not return or recommend and I live locally for 7 months of the year. Sad not to be supporting this local business again. I will try Bancroft Inn and Suites next time.

Breakfast could be improved. There was a large stain on a bedding cover. All easily and inexpensive improvements.

Joan (8/5): - The staff at this hotel is great. It is an older hotel but it is kept clean. The TV service is not that great. We did have an issue with the TV service not working in our room so they switched rooms for us. Even then the service is not that great. However that does not matter to some people.The continental breakfast was fair. Overall it is not the best motel but it works for what we needed.
Monique (8/5): - Although the property and rooms are dated, they are clean and provide a functional experience via the bathroom, chairs to sit and read and TV plus having a fridge and microwave. And the outside and surrounding area is nice to walk around, especially down to the river. The continental breakfast was lovely with a good selection of items to choose from. And the desk receptionist was kind and helpful.

Wendy (8/5): Get-away - 2 nights away for a get away and checking out some areas for atving in the fall. Great motel. Better than i was expecting. The room was cozy and the tv acty works (past experiences with tvs at other hotels this yr have not been great when you don't understand internet tv systems). I booked also because of the pool which looked great but we didn't get a chance to use it. The breakfast in the mornings was also great. Best make your own waffles, cereals, muffins, juices, hard boiled eggs. We will definitely be returning in the fall for the colors and atving. Staff and check in was quick and friendly.

Anna (8/5): - The buildings are on the older side but our rooms were clean and well maintained. The building door near us tended to slam shut and the AC is a bit loud. Breakfast was nice (options included toast, cereal, fruit, yogurt, muffins, waffle maker) and staff were helpful.

Breakfast offered coffee, tea, juices, boiled eggs, choice of cereal, muffins, toast, English muffins, yogurt, fruit and waffles. It was more than enough to get your day started. I gave the hotel an extra star for their staff. They were super responsive and very friendly. Rhonda at the front desk was amazing and extremely helpful!

Todd (8/5): Night away from it all - Cant blame the hotel for the massive power outage, so will base the score on everything else. The motel is a little fated, but spacious. Our room was a suite, which was much bigger than anticipated. TVs only worked for a bit, had troubles with them at the beggining but then worked better. Games room qas a nice touch, just be prepared to pay for anything.
1shelleyl (2/5): - We were very disappointed with our room. Although the room was clean I awoke, in the middle of the night, to a cockroach crawling on my neck. The next morning I saw another in the bathroom. The shower also has black mold.

After a day out in the woods, we come back to our room, everything is replenished and clean and it’s great to go for a swim. Wish the hot tub worked and there was more selection for their breakfast

John (2/5): - The staff tried to change my credit card ( one I no longer use) it didn’t go through, so my reservation for 2 rooms was cancelled without any notice. They were then unwilling to help in any way. As we were travelling on motorcycles 6 hours from home with no accommodation, I was less than impressed. One of the people in our group is a travel agent, so this will not go unnoticed. I expect some feedback on this ridiculous situation.

There is two small things they can upgrade one the pillows are half pillows and two the blankets could be replaced they are these old weird itchy blankets kind of like the fireproof material. Just the pillows and blankets need upgrading besides that I have no complaints and will be a weekly costumer.

Anastasia (10/5): - Bit dated (not necessarily in a bad way, it's almost a relic of a time long past, but expect some wallpaper damage and some mild moisture damage in the bathroom). Besides that, clean, didn't smell too much (literally opened a window for a minute and it was fine, the smell of any hotel/inn room). Check-in was easy, parking was a breeze, breakfast was at a humane time (6:30am-9:30am) and not unpleasant (I mean, it was good. Don't expect gourmet). I didn't get a chance to check out the other facilities but they appeared to be good as well. Overall, considering what you're getting for the price you pay, it was well worth it. My only real complaint was that there was no fan in the bathroom, but there was a window which I guess has the same effect.

The door to our room had a 3/4 inch gap at the bottom, not sitting squarely in the door frame. We put a towel across the gap to keep the light and drafts out.

Shirley (4/5): - The bed was soft on the sides, hard in the middle. The 4 pillows were paper thin, had to purchase one myself. There was no hot water no matter which way you moved the tap. Had to reset the tv satellite at least 3 times. The breakfast was a cold breakfast, the restaurant that used to be there was removed. The pool was over chlorinated, hot tub not working, the gym has broken equipment. The person that works the reception desk during the day was very nice but the owners are not. Will not stay there again.

Michael (4/5): - Check in was friendly and welcoming. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom had what appeared to be mold along the grout and in corners. The storm door would be nice to have in the summer but it rattled and banged and looked like something that had been reused from a 1950s home. The furnishings were very dated. The heating unit fan turned on and off constantly. It was a very cold night so I was in no position to turn it off. The room rates were fairly exorbitant considering the small town location and amenities. Serious consideration must be given to improving this motel.

(Example: new pillows, bedding, a new mattress would have made a big difference) The staff were friendly, but then were upset to have to look for an extra pillow/ blanket. (There were none in the room). Overall not great for the price we paid for one night.
