Guest Reviews
- Victoria (9/5): - The young man at reception went above and beyond.
For the hotel price, breakfast had enough options for a decent breakfast, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles etc. Being older with luggage, would have been nice to have an elevator.
- chris (10/5): I would definitely stay here again!!!! - Clean and very good breakfast
- Garrell (6/5): Make sure nobody watches you when your eating breakfast and make sure your room has a TV remote - I felt like the clerk running the breakfast was also running the front, she kept checking on me sort of micro-managing me. I felt watch, like I couldn't enjoy my breakfast overlooking my back. The check in clerk the day before was a young boy in his 30's. He didn't even greet me, he had this look like he wasn't a welcoming person. My room was missing a TV remote, I was scared to call the front desk to request for TV remote, this young man wasn't friendly at all
- Kathryn (10/5): -

- Jeff (8/5): -
- Jeffrey (7/5): Decent motel with comfortable room - The breakfast was very good. The room and bed were comfortable. Location and staff were just ok. I thought hot tub was available but it was permanently closed. They had a sign pointing to the hot tub and apparently an old sign.
- Trisha (10/5): Nice - Great No problems
- Moore (1/5): - I was charged double plus an extra $300. I have been calling to settle this matter, yet to be resolved
- Deb (10/5): - The gal who assisted us was amazing. I did not get her name but she is a keeper for the front desk!
- Anna (10/5): -
- Anna (10/5): -
- Jonell (7/5): The weather was nice and cool. - Breakfast was standard like any other Best Western Property. The beds were not comfortable.
- Brenda (6/5): - Breakfast was fine but they ran out of yogurts and fresh fruit.
You guys really need to fix the outside stairs in this property. That should be number one priority on your list.
For the $245 rate I do think that was pricey. Maybe a $175 rate would have been appropriate for the state of the hotel.
- Andrea (10/5): -
- Richard (8/5): Thanks for a pleasant stay!!! -
- Omar (10/5): -
- Judy (8/5): Breakfast was the best - Nice location Great service
- Loretta (10/5): -
- Behunin (3/5): They don’t care, stay somewhere else - Very centrally located to everything Most of the staff was very nice, night auditors not so much I needed a bottom floor room I’m older and have a bad hip. They refused to accommodate us the stairs about killed me
As I watched day after day the bottom floor rooms. Go unused. I suffered a lot becuz of that decision. And will not return.
- Murphy (10/5): - The stay was comfortable and the staff were accommodating. I loved coming back here again ! I didn't like that the light bulb in the hotel room was out and the hotel TV remote didn't work and the cable to the TV had no channels.
- Todd (10/5): -
- Zaya (1/5): Rooms feel cheap out dated motel rooms - Location Rooms
- Lisa (9/5): - Fast and easy check in
- Patrick (10/5): - Great price perfect for quick stay.
- Charles (6/5): - Noisy ac unit, rattling fan
- james (6/5): - The room was adequate. We weren't lookung for exotic, romantic or elaborate. It was just a fishung trip.
- JOHN (10/5): Mountain Paradise - The breakfast was great and the staff is super friendly.
- Scott (6/5): - Once we got past the roofing project that lasted two days, no TV for two days, one maid service during our four day stay. Once we got past most issues it was fine, except for the maid service. Mger did reach out to us and did comp one night.
- Jeremy (8/5): -
- Dani (4/5): - The problem we had was the beds. We rented 2 rooms both with queen beds and neither my husband or I could sleep the mattress was so bad and my sister in the next room over slept but had to take Advil she was so achy with the bed. How was it, baby?
- John (6/5): - Couple in md 80's asked for a floor when I made reservations. When we got there only 1 room left on ground, the furthest from everything as one can get.
Lowest toilet I've ever seen, except in Japan, where they had squat toilets. Bathroom, so tiny..
- Rosalie (2/5): - Shower was very hard to use, had to ask staff how to use it! Coffee maker didn’t work, towels were very thin, bathroom ceiling had mold on it! Left after one day was supposed to stay one more day but wasn’t about to fight with the shower handle. Stayed there because ratings on your site said it was great!
- Tania (6/5): - Decent for the price. Nice breakfast and friendly staff. The room was very musky and the shower was quite gross. Beds were okay.
- Jody (7/5): -
- Rose (10/5): - Appropiate and convience for a quick stay
- Carol J (10/5): - What seemed different was on the 2nd floor was a very thick cushiony carpet, which help the first-floor people. Sometimes the 2nd floor noises at other hotels can be a problem.
- Paul (10/5): Enjoyable final night off our month/long road trip to Canada and back… - Clean & well-kept / pleasant staff Nothing
- Ned (8/5): - The smell of the cleaning agent used caused me to have a migraine. The Wi-Fi was intermittent. The floor in our room did not seem to be very clean. The desk clerk was very helpful. The breakfast offerings were plentiful and tasty. Parking was easy and plentiful. We would come back.
- Stephen (10/5): Low toilets - Our stay was very nice.bclean rooms, excellent breakfast. The only thing was the toilets are very low, making it difficult for me having bad knees
- Sue (10/5): - The staff couldn't have been nicer! Friendly, efficient and welcoming. Complementary breakfast was excellent and more than I expected-hot bacon, potatoes, waffles and eggs with all the extras!
The room interiors were clean, a bit dated and had a definite mildew smell, possibly from the rains the previous night.
- Randall (8/5): - Older hotel but clean quite and comfortable.
- Jeffery (9/5): Our only problem was with our scheduling. I schedule to stay more than a week ahead of time with booking.com. Over the n - Clean and comfortable
- David (4/5): -
- john (10/5): Very nice - Clean , comfortable, but needs updated...pet freiendly was awesome
- Guy (8/5): -
- Gwyn (10/5): -
- Michael (5/5): - Pretty setting Felt dated.
- shelly (4/5): not a good value, needs improvement and price needs to be lowered - The Price was outrageous for the condition of the property. The water pressure was non existent, taking a shower was a huge challenge. I am ok with a plain motel but not at an outrageous price.
- Charles (6/5): - Had alittle trouble getting room cleaned
- Winifred S (6/5): - Would have liked to earn best western points for the 2 night stay
- Michael (6/5): - The room is outdated and the Air Conditioner was noisy and rattled all night!
- Eric (4/5): - A/C unit was very noisy. Bathroom door was very difficult to open-not sure if it was due to humidity but it wasn’t ideal. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful.
- Pamela (9/5): -
- Michael (4/5): - This place is old and run down. Pretty sure our neighbors lived there permanently, and they smoked heavily in their room. We could actually smell cigarette smoke in our room. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and just in general didn’t feel like the room was clean. We were extremely surprised after reading the reviews that the property was in this condition. Normally Expedia reviews are pretty accurate.
- Camarena (7/5): - Good None
- Phillip (4/5): -
- David (8/5): Pinetop Az visit mid week….July 2025 - The check in was friendly and breakfast was good, room was clean.
The down side, the fan in the bathroom sounded like Mac Truck…..Loud & I mean Loud.
The aircon unit is twenty years out of date and also made so much noise….. come on America you need to up date to new technology…..
Great location and wonderful Chinese restaurant called the Lotus Garden up the street.
- Marilyn (2/5): - We did not stay there! We had arrived early and knew check in was at 3:00. But the receptionist said “ I’m not checking anyone now. We totally understand the policy. Just wanted to get a recommendation for a coffee shop, and sites…well. That was the icing…and when we asked to please use the restroom, she took us to behind the desk to a restroom. Apparently the hotel does not have a guest bathroom. We got the feeling we were unconvincing her. That was the cherry! Needless to say, definitely not recommending stay there!
- Ellen (6/5): - Cons: There was no Kleenix and the toilet papaer felt like it was just shredded and single ply only. the tv remote doesn't have an option for Close Caption. And there are no USB plug in anywhere in the room. That is so 1990's. Get some new lamps with the plugs!
However, we enjoyed a good night's sleep and that's really all we wanted. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were wonderful if you like medium resistance, which I do, and you each get 2 king size.
- Jeffry (10/5): - Convince was nice
- Linda (6/5): - Best part was probably the breakfast. Lots of choices. Other guests took all of the bananas, though - ha! It is an old style park at the door motel. Has been somewhat refurbished. Just don't have high expectations and you will be ok.
- Howard (10/5): - Nice place . Clean rooms .
- Lance (6/5): - The room was clean, but was very outdated. The room smelled musty and the bathroom was extremely small.
- George (8/5): - Cómodo y limpio
- Virginia (6/5): - The shower in the next room was SO loud. Bed was comfortable. The biggest disappointment was breakfast. We arrived at 7:30. No bacon, it arrived at 8 and it was all clumped up and fried to a crispy mess. The girl working didn’t care much for her job. It’s set up so we’re all bumping into each other, there was no flow. There’s no point in booking rooms with “free breakfasts”, just not worth the frustration and lack of quality.
- Kristi (8/5): - Comfortable beds. Convenient parking outside our room.
- Kathleen (10/5): - Wonderful hotel, great location. Staff was so helpful. I will be back again whenever I’m in Pinetop.
- Eduardo (8/5): - Basic, clean, everything you need in a hotel room. Not exactly the most modern of anything, could use a bit of upgrades but in general, quiet, convenient, would cnsider this place again.
- Mary (10/5): - We arrived about an hour early. They did a great job getting our rooms ready early. So very much appreciated. They had a very nice breakfast, too. We like this location a lot.
- Tricia (8/5): -
- Gwyn (10/5): Very convient and comfortable. manager wentout of her way to get us lower level -
- Debra (8/5): - The breakfast was lovely. The bed was kind of hard. The toilet was way to short.
- clayton (10/5): - It was well kept
- Loren (8/5): - .
- James (7/5): - Clean and accessible Door key was in poor condition
- Elizabeth (6/5): Short trip - Its comfortable and convenient place to stay with nice breakfast.
- Daniel (2/5): -
- Tamisha (8/5): - Was nice and quiet
- Ronald (10/5): - Excellent service!
- Donna (8/5): Comfortable - Very nice place. Only complaint is that the shower had quite a long hair stuck to the wall! 😳 Other than that, comfortable bed, cooling and heating worked well, great breakfast in the morning and very nice staff.
- John (10/5): -
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Typical cheap hotel. Rooms were worn down with holes that were patched up and stains on the walls. Picked this over comfort inn because of reviews but honestly this is 2 star hotel in my opinion.
- Nancy (10/5): My husband, pup and I were very happy with our stay. - I liked everything about Pinetop Best Western. It is pet friendly, serves a small hot breakfast, the beds and pillows were comfortable and staff are very friendly. Another plus is that the location is right down the street from a walking trail. There is nothing I didn’t like.
- Tiffany (8/5): Great - Very nice for an affordable price. Firm mattress, which I like. Good size room.
- Kaylene (10/5): -
- Maureen (1/5): - We were diverted from the area because of weather warnings. Phone alerts advised to get off roads. We stayed at a best western about 50 miles from this one. We are still trying to receive credit for not arriving.
- Summer (7/5): Wonderful - Friendly staff. Included breakfast. Great location and very comfortable There was ice/snow by the stairs
- Karen (2/5): - Carpet in room
- Kelly (6/5): Outdated - Very outdated.
- Suzanne (6/5): -
- Mariet (7/5): - Het ontbijt was goed.De kamer heerlijk royaal. Er was geen thee op de kamer. Wel koffie.
- Nahkai (7/5): - Breakfast was delicious Our room didn't have good electrical outlets.
- Carol (8/5): - Above average breakfast, large room
- Bonnie (10/5): - Had a great night here.
- Aaron (10/5): - excellent front desk person when we arrived nothing
