- Deborah (4/5): i would never stay there again!!! - The breakfast was good. when we checked the clerk was unfriendly and didn't engage with us at all, when we asked her question, she was very short. also, I found the room not very clean.

- MYRANDA (1/5): never again! - The fact that i booked this room for my adult daughter/family and used my debit card. it specifically states that the motel can charge the card for the deposit. $50.00 Myranda was asked at check in if she wanted to use the card on file she said no presented her card filled out the necessary documents. they charged her card and mine for $231.74 & $40.00. This was Friday 24TH. Your website specifically states the card will not be charged for the entire reservation however a deposit of $50.00 could be charged. Why was the motel allowed to charge my card for the reservation and hold up my money for the entire weekend?

- albert (5/5): Not impressed will not go back - The staff was very pleasant parking was easy Where to start the facility is a bit on the rundown side the hot tub that we paid extra for was light green even a saline system shouldn't be green it should be clear this one's a ticket or leave it moment there's no vending machine there is an assortment of what a probably sat there forever snacks and laundry detergent only at the check-in counter which by the way is a completely separate building from where the rooms are in addition to where the rooms are the pool and hot tub are in a completely separate building and if it raining and cold and windy that just sucks
- Kyle (1/5): Terrible staff is incompetent and most likely didnt make it past 1st grade - Location The staff is completely incompetent i get to the motel at 8 pm i have all my kids and booked the rooms through booking.com as i check in the lady at the front desk said one of my rooms was cancelled due to charging my deposit to booking .com instead of me when i arrived since i pre paid and a digital card was issued from booking.com im now only reserved for 1 room because of the motel’s mistake the card is short on funds and they would not accept money from me and told me i needed to call booking .com to fix the motels mistake i got angry and told them they could fix their own mistake im not going to i already paid and my kids are tired sitting in a car because the staff messed up finally after a hour the lady cussed and said im just gonna make it work all of this was unnecessary and i will never stay at that dump again

- Nichole (3/5): Dirty, fire panel alarm going off but not addressed, same breakfast 3 days in a row. - The location was close to everything we wanted to do in the Crescent City area. The front desk staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, if not understaffed during our check-in when 5 different groups were awaiting check-in and only 1 front desk employee was available. The layout and space in the breakfast room was good. The coffee was good. The tables were cleaned promptly when someone left. The breakfast was the same all 3 days - scrambled eggs and sausage [patties the first day, sausage pellets the 2nd day; patties again day 3]. The fruit options were scarce (e.g., 2 oranges, both of which no one would want to eat - they were partially green skinned) and the plastic wear was incredibly flimsy. I didn't like having to go to the front desk every morning to request our room be serviced and then return at the end of the day to find it wasn't serviced according to my request. But most of all - I am a safety officer at my company. There was an alarm going off on the fire system panel (I took a picture) all weekend, to which I was told by a housekeeper that it's "been broke" and "we have been trying to get someone out here to service it". Instead of getting it serviced, they kept silencing it. This did not give me a warm/comfy feeling at all!

- Y3875KKleew (4/5): A Grudging 2 Star Review For a Dirty, Uncomfortable Hotel - Awful. This hotel definitely earned its 2 star review. Maybe even 1 star, if you consider that we had to leave a day early because the hotel was so uncomfortable and dingy. I urge the Best Western corporation to drop the "Plus" designation, since Plus is supposed to be one grade about a standard Best Western and one grade below Premiere. This was around on-par with a standard, and maybe even worse. The front desk people and the breakfast attendants were very nice, I'll give it that. But the rooms look nothing like the hotel's photos. In the pictures, you see a clean, spacious room with tightly made sheets. Reality: a cramped room with hard floors, a fridge that whines, hand prints on the window, a bathroom door that doesn't fully close, a cabinet door for the fridge that doesn't close, a plain white bathroom. a bed with crumbs in the sheets, a breakfast on paper plates, fingerprints on the fridge cabinet, and a general worn, dingy, well-used, old property. While it's not the absolute worst hotel on earth, it's so bad that we were forced to leave a day early because the place was too depressing. The staff refused to refund us the second day, even though I asked early in the morning ("We require a 24 hour notice."). Really? How is that logistically possible? Essentially, we paid $325 for one night at a depressing sub-standard hotel. Never again. Do not stay here unless you are desperate.

- jasoncX7853LC (4/5): Decent but no backup generator - The last 2 BW stays have been Horrible. ( Coos Bay and Clearlake) we decided to give it one more try. We are a laid back family tgat doesnt expact much. Just a safe comfortable room. The room was ok, bed was not too bad, location was good, but we lost power at 2am and there was no backup generator. If there was, it was not working. My wife, who uses a medical device to breath, woke up in a full panic which resulted in an anxiety attack. The rooms had no emergency lights which is required by state law. We called the office who did not answer, so we called the corporate number and a snarky lady said to us "why dont you just walk over there". We were in the middle of a huge storm and had to leave the room to the outside to get to the office. The Office would not let us in. So we used our cell phone lights to pack up and we left. We were unable to shower since there was no hot water or light, and we missed out on breakfast. When we got home, we called to speak to the manager. We were told they were busy and would call us back. We wanted to give them a chance to explain and make it right. We received no call back in 2 days. We have basically made up our minds that the 3rd time is a charm. We will not be staying at Best Westerns again.

- Downing (3/5): Issue with hot water and hospitality - Pet area was nice and clean. Appreciated the floors not being carpet. Yogurt machine was great for breakfast. No hot water in the morning on day one with showers. Check in was terrible. My first and last name were mismatched in the computer. I had my confirmation email and ID that matched but the check in said they could see the reservation but couldn't find me. That took over 30 minutes for her to realize the error and proceeded with check in which made me late for game. Power went out at 0200 there weren't any emergency lights to see anything, tried to get talk to the lobby, they were locked inside and wouldn't let anyone inside. We we trying to figure out if the power was coming back on or storm weather for travel and to check out. We had to park in front of our room window to see inside to pack up as we had no information and they had no emergency lights or battery backup. We had no idea there would be gail force winds and to prepare for a power outage, which would have been nice for the motel to share, maybe have a lantern, flashlight, blankets as the heater went out with the power.
- professoreo (2/5): Stay elsewhere or bare the pain of staying here. - This was the worst Best Western Hotel we have ever stayed at. Bad odor, very tired facility, equipment in workout room missing elements on spin bike, breakfast was not fit to serve, noisy.

- Rice (10/5): - It's clean and quiet. Has pool, hot tub, sauna, gym, laundry on site, free breakfast with lots of choices. They have body wash, shampoo, conditioner hanging in the shower. They have a safe for your valuables. Absolutely wonderful and would recommend to others. The bed is a little on the firm side but other than that I loved everything.

Hard-Boiled Eggs 2. Hash-Browns 3. A Fruit Cocktail of sorts 4. Non-Powdered scrambled eggs I personally think that you did well under the circumstances given the pressures on busget and shifting levels of patronage!

The best thing we encountered was the receptionist, Brittney. She was not onlyfriendly, welcoming, and very professional & helpful but she took the time to inquire about our visit and Explained in detail the layout of the property, breakfast, and amenities on site. We appreciate her!! Thank you so much for a great experience!! We will definitely stay at Best Western again & will definitely refer. Liked everything about our stay. Glad we stayed at Best Wester!

- Katrina (9/5): - Our room was incredibly spacious, comfortable and quiet. We were even able to bring a switch dock with us and hook it up to the TV a fun night in playing video games when we wanted a nice night in. And, most importantly, the staff were wonderful even though it was a very busy weekend. Be warned that the key cards will get demagnetized when it comes close to newer phones (that have magnetic charging). We didn’t think about it until we weren’t able to get back into our room; but the staff were amazing, getting our cards back up and working once we walked to the front desk.

Paid $350 to stay one night in a very crappy hotel.

Internet was down in my room, went to front desk after waiting the expected time they told us for repairs (one day) because it was not fixed. Receptionist offered a complimentary room change- then revoked that offer because they claimed it was a ‘security risk’. Had to contact manager. New room had internet access but it would shut off every 30/40 mins without warning for 5-10 mins. Toilet also won’t flush properly and there is a buzzing in the wall that kept me up all night. Crescent city is beautiful but I will never stay here again, nor can I recommend it.
- Winnie (10/5): Pleasant stay… - Room is comfortable and clean. The lady at front desk is kind and helpful. We really enjoyed these facilities such as swimming pool, hot tub, sauna and gym. Laundry room is huge! Breakfast area has great view with variety of choices.

Housekeeping staff were not as friendly, propped outside exit doors open, and didnt seem as helpful. Pool was beautiful and warm. Hot tub was hot! Jets were gentle and it didnt seem to bubble, but it was nice to soak in, and very clean. Dry Sauna was a nice addition! No pool towels on Sunday. Grounds were nice and location is excellent. We enjoyed ourselves! Housekeeping seemed brisk. They talked and laughed amongst each other, but didnt seem friendly to guests. They propped the outside exit doors open, which might have made it easier for them to carry things back and forth but the doors were open even after dark, which made me nervouse.

- Taewoong (3/5): Beaten up motel with Best Western brand costs you $200. - The location. Proximity to Redwood. It’s pretty much repainted roadside motel with a new building for the restaurant. I was fooled by the brand as I forgot it’s just a franchise. The bed was the most uncomfortable one that I have ever slept on, not to mention the noise. The door lock stopped working a couple of times.

- Musings8 (4/5): Shabby & Stingy - One of the worst Best Westerns we’ve ever stayed in. Short-staffed at the front desk. The only reason I’m giving a 2-star and not a 1-star, as Peyton at the front desk was a champ. She was the only person working at check-in on a super busy Saturday night. Peyton was polite, professional and efficient. It still took us a half an hour to check in. Shame on the owner for being so cheap. And it didn’t stop there. Breakfast is served from 6-9 am. However, we arrived at 8:15, and the hot food was either empty, or close to empty. I asked for the dishes to replenished, and the kitchen worker said that the owner only allows so much food to be put out, then cuts it off. So while they offer breakfast for 3 hours, they do not have it available for 3 hours. Room smelled musty and furnishings were shabby. Does not accommodate electronic plug-ins at the bedside. Obviously, the owner is not concerned with customer service or repeat customers.

- brianrU4388XZ (6/5): Adequate - I have stayed at this hotel on at least three occasions over the years. Yes, I am a creature of habit! This hotel is not great, it is adequate. It is reasonably clean. It is always in need of an update and a refresh. The furniture shows signs of wear. It hasn't changed much over the years. I stay here because it is convenient. It is right off the highway. It is close to restaurants. It is reasonably close to the Battery Point Lighthouse. And, I like the view from the upstairs breakfast room!
