- Rachel (4/5): Comfortable beds but very rude breakfast staff - The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We slept well and found that there were plenty of towels and hot water. We found that the room was relatively quiet and that the room was reasonably sized. Breakfast staff were incredibly rude and when I asked if there was going to be any more batter for the waffles replied that was it for the day; this was at 9.15am and breakfast was due to last until 10am. I was told to get the last batter out myself and that a large group had just been in. This seemed very rude and unprofessional in my view. The options were very limited with no protein option and only scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy as hot options. The hotel also had a large group staying and we could not get to sleep until late due to the noise above us. We also felt overall this Best Western is not as good as others we have stayed in.
- Diana (10/5): Relaxing, quiet, restorative. Oak Harbor is a nice little town. - We continually stay at Best Western Plus facilities because it is convenient to travel with our dog. The rooms are spacious, any issues are handled with compassion and promptness. Nothing really - we needed a place to rest up from a very busy summer and this was ideal. Plenty of room to walk our dog, quiet within the room, and the staff was lovely. Best Western Plus has served us well in all our travels through the past 10+ years. I used to work as a sales manager for the hotel industry in Albuquerque, NM, and am very familiar with the best practices of the lodging industry. BW Plus is top of the ladder in my opinion.

The picture on television in our room was blurry to the point it was hard to enjoy and had my reservation not been prepaid thru Travelocity I would have asked for a refund for the second night and went else ware . Television and hot tub are always a mandatory when I consider a stay and this one missed the mark

- Betti' (10/5): Great place to stay when visiting Grays Harbour. - We have a dog, so my husband brought me breakfast. He said there was a nice variety of breakfast items This was the first time bringing our dog with us and paid extra for him. They treated him like he was the most special guest not just a dog. He got treats when he came in from our walks, Kim was at the front desk and always said hit to Toni. They respected our privacy and cleaned while we visited family on the island. The hotel is a good location close to stores and parks. We plan on staying here again. Nothing. It was on Rt 20 but we were on the back side of the hotel and didn't hear any traffic.

I complained at check out but got a bullshit response that they were not aware. In all years that I have stayed in hotels I have never been prevented from sleeping due to noise in the room. Absolutely shit hotel and response from staff. Will not be staying at another best western.

I phoned the property well in advance to advise them of this and was told the only thing would be a pet fee of $40.00. Upon arrival, we were advised that pets were allowed only on the first floor and because of this, we were given a room with 2 queen beds, when we made the reservation for one king bed

- Ben (10/5): Amazing Stay - I absolutely love staying at this hotel. It’s amazing super chill clean and definitely easy to access areas around the town of Oak Harbor. I definitely like the room sizes and how much they cost. It’s super affordable easy to chill out and relax. The only thing that I do miss is the orange soap that was in the showers. I would love for them to bring that back if possible that was the only thing that I miss about this hotel but overall staying was amazing. Customer Service is impeccable.

The room and the location were great, we also liked our view: the trees and area to play with kids or a dog behind the hotel. The coffee and hot chocolate in the reception area were lovely. The breakfast area was not very comfortable: in the basement hallway and it got a little crowded. The pool was small, it was also closed when we were there but the awesome hot tub really made up for it.

I completely missed (not sure how!!) that the pool was outside but fortunately the weather cooperated so we were still able to go for a swim. Beds were comfortable and even though the hotel is close to the road the rooms were very quiet. Breakfast was okay but appreciated it was included.
- Brian (2/5): Never again... - Leaving Staff insisted I could not leave my senior emotional support animal (dog) in the room alone under any circumstances, including to use any of the amenities, have breakfast at the hotel, go out to eat at local restaurants, or go grocery shopping. Both staff members made snide remarks to me with regards to dogs in general upon me checking in regarding how dogs are always noisy and tear up furniture, particularly their comment of "that's what they all say" when I explained I've never had issues in the 7+ years I've had my dog and in previous stays at other locations, left her to sleep in the room while I was temporarily away. Upon checkout, a front desk staff member recommended I could have left my dog unattended in my car anytime I was not in the room, which can be fatal to dogs depending on temperature and duration of time within a vehicle; often a mere 30 minutes with an outside temperature of 70 F will be enough to raise the internal temperature to 104 F. The hotel is not pet friendly and is pet tolerant at best, particularly charging $40 per night for each dog and the loss of use of all amenities. From the facilities I did see, the pool / hot tub were wrapped with caution tape and signs posted to indicate it was closed indefinitely. The breakfast area understandably did not allow non-service dogs (as it should be), but based on the pet registration they force you to sign at check-in, this means that as a solo traveler with a dog, I was not allowed to have their continental breakfast. Because of all of these issues, I ended my vacation two days early and returned home early. Despite the claims at the front desk when I spoke with them (almost immediately after checking in) about shortening my stay, I had to work with Booking.com to get a refund for the night I did not stay at the hotel. The staff member at the desk claimed they would handle that for me and did not.

Underwhelming breakfast - biscuits, gravy, dry eggs, a few sad oranges. Not worth the cost. No reason this is the top rated place in town.

- Joel R (6/5): - Unexpected pet fees that were quite high and based on per animal and not just a overall pet fee. Breakfast was very quite simple, waffles, eggs and sausage. Hot tub was clean, pool was quite small but usable.
- Horserescuer57 (8/5): Stay for the breakfast. - Best breakfast out there for those who are traveling and don't want to spend extra time (and $) stopping elsewhere to eat. Biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, and waffles were all good. Rooms were clean, maid service nonexistent, apparently you have to ask for it. Very inconvenient for those staying more than one night. Had to ask for extra towels, trash removal. What are they thinking? Some front desk personnel were good, others clipped and short.
