• Christopher (8/5): Hairy stay - A large spacious bed and a quiet room. The pool area was decorative with arcade style games near by. I was a little sick, so I didn't attend. The typical hair in the tub and drain you find in all hotels today. The all inclusive resorts and hotels come with other people's hair. As a bald man I can say it isn't mine.

When I travel to Michigan, I have been using this hotel for about eight years and it used to be really nice. Next time I head to Michigan I’m going to be trying the Holiday Inn express across the street. That’s how disappointed I was.

Terrible value, this is a $70 place charging $130, owner is raking it in and doing nothing else. Must be nice.

The guy at the front desk charged my card 2x even though I booked it through booking.com. Also there is way too much weed smoking going on, entire hotel smells like a joint!

• Natasha (4/5): Not worth the cost - Room was nice, bed appeared clean, lobby was nice. Lighting in bathroom was dark over the jet tub. The shower didn’t have a place big enough to put my own shampoo and conditioner in it to use. There was no bar for the washcloth, there wasn’t a whole lot of room to move around inside the shower. Turned the AC on auto at 68 degrees. I was up all night bc it was roughly 80 degrees I. The room. The AC didn’t work, it came on once an hour for 2 min. I advised the hotel front desk, they said they would put in a notice to maintenance to come after I left the next day. They said they were full and unable to move me to a new room. Didn’t off a reduced rate for the horrible sleep the entire weekend I was there. The second night, over a 9 hour period the AC came on 5 times for 2-3 minutes each. The room upstairs, came on three times an hour, and was on three times longer. Yes, I was awake all night to keep track.

• Harvey (3/5): NEVER again will I frequent this location…this is an example of extremely poor customer service…….. - I found it absolutely unacceptable that there is NO transportation to the train station one mile away. My wife and I were dropped off from out of the night before. We had reservations for the 0705 Amtrak train to Chicago the next morning. I find out from the person at front desk there is no taxi nor shuttle nor does the motel provide service to the train station!!,, So ok, how do we get there. “I don’t know I’m not from here”. I ask hat about Uber “I don’t know, there isn’t many Uber drivers in town”. I decided my only way was to at least try Uber. I make a reservation and receive an email that my reservation is confirmed. Great……then to top it off, at the end of the email it states ‘Not confirmed until you hear from a driver.’ I get up at 0500 and still no email from a driver. Now what the hell do I do. I decide to set in lobby in the event someone is leaving that I could pay $30 to take us a mile to train station. Fortunately a very nice person steps up to help and gets us to the station.

Water pressure is not good and breakfast needs improvement. Arcade games in pool area should be free.

• Elena (10/5): - Odd location but I think hotel was there before everything was built up around it. GREAT that the was a Meijers within walking distance plus MULTIPLE food choices right nearby. Other shopping also very close. The hotel was very clean & pleasant, a little dated but that didn't stop our comfort there. The beds were THE BEST of many hotels I've stayed in & used them as my benchmark for the other 2 we stayed in on our trip. The staff was very friendly & always cleaning or doing something productive yet they always offered assistance or greetings at least. We enjoyed the pool & hot tub each night(pool floor does need resurfacing)& my son & his partner had a ball with the claw machine. They also enjoyed sitting in the surprise enclosed courtyard. Beautiful place to sit & relax with flowers, a gazebo & multiple seating choices. I'm an early bird so I appreciated using the gym in the morning(the bike needs the seat fixed) then coffee as soon as it was available & breakfast before most people were awake. Very good coffee. Breakfast was standard fare but hot & good choices. The breakfast area was very nice & like everything else very clean. I truly like hotels that prioritize the cleanliness. I will absolutely be coming back here when I visit the area. I know I'll get a great stay at a great value!

• Jeanna (7/5): Clean and comfortable, just be aware no elevator and check your plugs for your phones! - It was in a good location, clean and comfortable I have Rheumatoid arthritis and there were only rooms upstairs with no elevator and so I couldn’t bring my bags up to organize as the roller cart can’t go up the stairs and I am unable to navigate stairs and carry much at the same time-also my plugs didn’t work on the nightstand, so my phone was dead in the morning

Kandance at the front desk was exceptional and really helped us. I would recommend this hotel to Everyone. I was travelling from Ontario to Minnesota.

• Taylor (3/5): If was cheaper & had a nice pool, but if you get the rooms by the courtyard it’s too loud - Breakfast was decent and offered gluten free bread which was very nice! The pool was nice and heated and had good hours They did not accommodate us when we complained about the noise coming from the pub below and stopped answering the phone and were not present at the desk to give us a new room. It was very loud and noisy and the “solution” was that they would tell the people to quiet down which was ineffective, hence not allowing me to actually sleep until closer to midnight. I was very displeased about that and wanted some type of accommodation but did not see a resolution. If was cheaper than the other local hotel and had a nice pool, but if you get the rooms by the courtyard, it’s not great for actually sleeping.

One thing I didn't like was when I reserved the room I chose the the room with a heart shaped tub, but when I checked in we got a jetted tub. The hotel said that they only had three heart shaped jacuzzies. Expedia needs to not list the heart shaped jacuzzies as a jetted tub. It wasn't what I thought I reserved

• Robert (8/5): - The property is hard to find unless you have a GPS. Poor signage on the main drag of town. Room was suppose to be for handicapped, but the toilet was not. It was a low one and very hard to get up off of. The shower looked very inviting, but we couldn't find anywhere to put the shampoo and soap. Normally there is a place to sit while showering. Other than that we had a great time. Very close to eating and shopping. We had stayed there about ten years ago, so we wanted to stay again.

Note that there is no elevator at this location. That was ok for us. The hallways were dirty and grimy looking - definitely in need of remodeling. We were honestly worried about what the room would be like. We were pleasantly surprised! The room was super clean. It had been remodeled and was very comfortable. We usually stay in higher brand hotels, but the closest to our softball tournament was 25 miles away. This hotel was 5 miles away. We decided to try this out and we were not disappointed. We will definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in the area.

There was also a family with a lot of kids that kept running and talking loudly I. The halls until midnight. They kept slamming the door to their room next to ours until after midnight. All in all-very noisy.

• - (5/5): all in all great stay for an affordable price , just needs routine maintenance - Suite was clean and nice sized Jacuzzi only had 1 mode, not deep enough and splashed water all over . Bugs on bed / pillows refrigerator leaking water and not turn on
