Guest Reviews
- Ashley (7/5): -
- Katie (4/5): Not too great. - I asked about the free breakfast wjen I checked in. The person who checked me in said there was a free breakfast next door at Lumberjacks and to get the token upon check out. I checked out at 11am and was told by that person Southaven to get the token by 10am. I was super irritated that I wasn't told that before hand. Amd the shower was cold amd had barely any pressure. Won't be staying there again.
- Bonacorso (5/5): Disappointing - Location was good I asked for king size bed , got queen size. When I mentioned the bed she told me it was a king. I said no it’s not I have one at home. She was rude in my opinion
They were doing black top on the parking lot and I said to them if I knew this was happening I wouldn’t have booked it. She asked why and I said I have a new car. Her response was well I’ve never had I new car. What does that have tho do with me I do t know. Because of the black top there was sand on my floor from the guys working and using a blower.
- Tammy Snively (5/5): - Location was great staff was good There was no soap or shampoo
- Phillip (8/5): No Bells or Whistles, but it met my needs. -
- Ebonyrose (10/5): - Big nice size room
- Zhiping (10/5): - Clean, staff, breakfast
- Elizabeth (10/5): -
- Terry (8/5): - Close to restaurant. Dog friendly but no place for your dog to potty.
- District (9/5): This is a good place to stay. - everything
- Gonzales (6/5): - Bed wasnt comfortable
- Sherri (9/5): -
- Emily (10/5): Awesome! - I loved the newly renovated room. My go to place in Susanville
- Chris (8/5): - Convenient location, large parking lot, convenient restaurant next door that serves a limited menu breakfast for guests. There was something metal underneath the bed that popped every time you moved to hard.
- Michele (9/5): Very good - Big room, comfortable beds, right off the main road. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was excellent as you get a voucher for the restaurant next door and get to choose from their menu. The dumpsters were emptied very early, felt like 5am and woke us up. We were on the first floor which I don’t recommend because the people above us also woke us up at about 5am.
- Penny (10/5): -
- Ted (4/5): We have stayed there before. Never again. - Free breakfast at the restaurant next door was very nice. Room was recently painted and very clean. We were sent to three rooms that were either under remodeling or not cleaned yet. Very frustrating. The pool looks like it hasn't been open in years. The exterior walls need painting. The parking lot and landscaping were filthy. Dead plants everywhere.
- Denise (10/5): -
- Summer (9/5): We definitely be staying here again - Lumberjack breakfast is great. Room was clean beds comfortable definitely worth the price.
- Gonzalez (10/5): Very nice place to rest during a very long trip. - We really enjoyed the breakfast we had with the vouchers. N/A
- Sheila (8/5): - Lots of channels on tv, nice arrangement for breakfast next door at the lumberjack. Room was spacious and the staff were very friendly. Bed was only moderately comfortable. They are in the process of remodeling, so maybe we got an older room.
- Margaret (7/5): - The noise through the connecting door to the next room was too much.
- Dan (6/5): -
- Sanders (8/5): - It was clean and nice restaurant and staff was friendly. For over an hour someone up stairs was stomping and banging at bedtime and in the morning. The room had a pet bed which is a bad idea due to fleas that could be left by patrons. I did not allow my dog to use it. Fleas are prolific
- Jenny (1/5): Disappointed - The size of the rooms was great. Fridge and microwave, check in was easy Stuffed away in a far off corner with only cold water. No hot water for showers, bad customer service.

- McDaniel (9/5): -
- Hokins (10/5): -
- Christina (8/5): It was comfortable and convenient - I liked the free breakfast at the restaurant next door every morning. One of the light fixtures was broken

- Pamela (7/5): We arrived later than expected, so everything was ok. - We went over & got the grab & go burrito w/ coffee since we were meeting our family for breakfast at Courthouse cafe.
We had our coffee in our room before checking out. That worked out & put the burritos in our ice chest to take and eat later. Worked out for us as a late night snack when we returned to Sacramento. Shortly before 8am, housekeeping knocked on the door, I didn't respond, & the door opened.
That was uncalled for at such an early hour. I made sure the door hanger was outside when we went over to grab breakfast. The same had been done to the neighbor next door.
When we checked out, I said that we had mentioned having AARP & AAA & was told (over the phone) that we were already getting a deal so that was not an option. The gal who was at the counter said that was not true & either could have been offered upon making the reservation. Maybe, we did something wrong this time, & we learned our lesson.
There was noise that I heard all night and don't know if it was from the pool pump or someone w/ their air conditioner on. I didn't get much sleep. It only affected me since my husband doesn't hear a thing once he takes out his hearing aids. I should have mentioned this to the office upon c/o to see if it was the location of room 115 or whatever.

- John (10/5): We usually stay here as a half way spot between our travels from home to family in another state. - Breakfast was great at the restaurant next to the property. You get a free meal pass. Nice set-up. Nothing.
- Karen (10/5): -
- Allan (9/5): Was pleased with everything. Nice place to stay. - Breakfast was great. Coupon allowed us several choices and the food and service was great.
- Steven (10/5): -
- Shep (7/5): Basic and clean. - A basic motel for a nights stay. Clean and well kept. Breakfast does not start early enough.
- Miguel (10/5): -
- Shay (10/5): -
- Michael (7/5): It was good for a short stay at the price paid. - The breakfast was good and well located. The heat source was somewhat noisy that made hard to get a good nights rest.
- Sandra (10/5): Clean and comfortable - Price and location
- Mollenkopf-Morris (10/5): - No smoking rooms
- Guangfu (9/5): Good stopping place between Albany Oregon and Las Vegas - Comfortable bed and very nice staff. Nothing
- Pumabo (10/5): - The complementary breakfast restaurant voucher. The attentiveness of the staff. The cleanliness of the rooms. Room a bit dated
- Steven (10/5): -
- Darrell (6/5): about what we expected - location noise till all hours, bed squeaked, didn't make-up the room for 1 night
- EmmaJay (7/5): -
- John (10/5): A very nice experience. - The staff were absolutely excellent. Both when we checked in and out. Having the free breakfast at the Lumberjack restaurant was great. We couldn't be happier. Nothing
- Turner (10/5): GREAT SPOT GOOD PRICE - The walk in shower
- Andrew (10/5): Reasonably Priced Clean and Comfortable - Clean comfortable beds, nice furniture, employees very nice. Reasonable price Noisy people late at night. Wish they had Netflix
- Steve (10/5): -
- Chelsea (10/5): -
- David (7/5): -
- Mollenkopf-Morris (9/5): - The room was large and roomy the shower was hot the bed was not so comfortable and the mini fridge wasn't so good but all in all was worth the money spent The room was large and roomy the shower was hot the bed was not so comfortable and the mini fridge wasn't so good but all in all was worth the money spent
- Christine (9/5): Very comfortable room and great value with breakfast . - Room was clean, soap and lotion were environmentally friendly so no small plastic containers, great complimentary breakfast as motel had coupons for restaurant across the way. Loved this arrangement. Staff friendly and room and bed comfortable. Great price for value. Nothing
- Shay (10/5): -
- Michelle (4/5): - Room was clean and comfortable We had ice cold water that would not warm up
- Marie (9/5): Need more handicap parking - Staff were friendly, love the breakfast and restaurant, room was spacious. Parking. Road construction crews stay overnight and park big trucks. Returning from visiting family after 8pm caused us to have to park at the restaurant and walk to our room. I dropped my handicapped husband and 9 yr old grandchild at the room and walked back. 2 handicap Parking spots for the entire hotel is not enough.
- Leanne (10/5): - Very big and comfortable Just that theres no elevator
- Parrott (8/5): Thank you for your service. - Kindness and breakfast Mold in bathroom and beds lumpy
- Susan (8/5): -
- Margaret (9/5): - nice breakfast coupon, dog friendly
- Katica (8/5): I came to relax and get out of my house just a different change of pace for a few days and I enjoyed myself while there. - Location was convenient for shopping There was a lot of garbage along the back of the building and looked like someone was squatting nearby, the maids didn’t fill the soap dispenser by the sink when I had checked in.
- Anna-Lia (10/5): -
- Idali (1/5): -
- Michelle (10/5): For the price, it was good. - The beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. No bathtub.
- kim (8/5): -
- Derek (9/5): Room was comfortable. - Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Upgraded to a larger size room with no additional charge. Easy access to food options. Didn’t experience any dislikes.
- Carolyn (10/5): - Easy parking for my U-Haul and trailer. A great breakfast at the restaurant next door for free. Warm, welcoming and helpful staff. N/A
- Maja (8/5): -
- Kamila (8/5): I would say it was ok because it was noisy, but beds were comfortable and the front desk staff was very friendly. - It was comfortable Heard people walking on the next floor and made a lot of noises. Also people being very loud outside the door.
- Kristian (10/5): -
- Cristin (6/5): - Room clean but hotel is old, very thin walls and floors. Heard everything around us. Not the hotels fault but other clientele loud, leaving trucks idling at 6 am.
- Lee (4/5): You get what you pay for - Location and price Noisy, bathroom was very sad and in desperate need of update. No hair dryer, bed sagged in the middle and hard pillows, oh and cheap crummy towels.
- Desiree (8/5): A necessary stop on the road. - Room was spacious and beds comfortable. Breakfast was offered at a restaurant next door with a menu specifically for hotel guests with comfortable seating. The bathroom faucet was broken and kept falling off but could still get to work. The refrigerator plug had been toggled during room cleaning (?) so fridge was off but still cold when we arrived so not noticed. Our freezer cubes didn’t freeze for next day of traveling.
- Tina (3/5): Bug infested. - The location was great. Close to the rodeo grounds. The gaps in the entry door were too large for me. I could see light coming in all around the door. And the gaps on the bottom of the door I plugged with towels. I killed about a dozen bugs in the bathroom area with about 20+ more watching me from the ceiling. We stayed in the king "suite" which you couldn't see the TV because it's in the sleeping section. The couch and chairs in the "suite" section were dated back to the 1960's. I'm glad my husband was with me because I would not have stayed there by myself.
- Leslie (6/5): - Nice motel with fridge and microwave
Breakfast was a voucher for Lumberjack’s restaurant next door which was top notch
Went there for dinner and that was great
- Jerry (10/5): - Clean/pet friendly/ near grocery and drug store/ convenient location/priced reasonably with great quality
- Deborah (7/5): - Coupon for breakfast at a restaurant across the parking lot. Nice food and service.
- Gilbert (7/5): -
- Carrie (10/5): - It was clean and comfortable.
- Christian (9/5): -
- Dorothee (9/5): - Breakfast, value for Money
- Kristina (9/5): -
- Powell (8/5): -
- Debra (10/5): Debra from the Smokies - Room was clean and spacious. Close proximity to eateries. Can be walkable. Staff wonderful. Great breakfast. Would stay again
- Linda (10/5): -
- Travis (5/5): Terrible - Good location. The guy that checked us in was not pleasant at all. I told him I needed to use the restroom, said we had to pay for the room first. We have never received treatment like that ever.
- Rhonda (8/5): Good stay for us. - The breakfast was good and a good location. We didn't find any thing to dislike.
- Larry (10/5): - The staff were friendly, the room was clean,
Not like staying in an upscale hotel but good value for the price..
There breakfast is great as they give you a voucher for the restaurant next door..
- stephen (10/5): Overall good value - Clean room, well located, friendly staff, breakfast voucher for the adjacent diner Water drained slowly out of the bath
- Rhonda (7/5): -
- kermit (6/5): Frustrated is the first thought that came to mind, - It was nice the hotel has arrangements with restaurant on location across the parking lot for breakfast, it was a good experience. The room was clean, but the shower/tub could have used some safety bars in the shower since the tub floor was slippery when you got in and out. When checking in clerk tried to give us a discount rate but it couldn’t cause hotel had run my credit card to pay for the room 2 hours before our arrival and check in. This caused a freeze to my credit card and an hour on the phone with my bank to unfreeze the card , this also caused a glitch in the hotel software program, which was fixed later. It was a pain in the ass. Also, hotel lost internet around 8 pm and did not have it working when we checked out.
- Janet L (6/5): - Pricey for a very basic room in an old motel which has been spruced up a bit. Thin walls, noisy street traffic. We’re not very impressed by the SureStay Plus division of Best Western. 2 very hard straight chairs were the only place to sit.
- James (8/5): - The hotel staff was very nice. The room and bathroom need to be updated with newer furniture, pictures and enclosed glass shower.
- Beverly (8/5): - Free breakfast in restaurant Nothing
