- brianlS3424ND (8/5): Better than expected; clean and good for soccer tournament - I stayed at this hotel with my son‘s soccer team. The hotel was clean and I would consider it to be a two star levelproperty but very clean for the level it was in. I was nervous because I had seen several bad reviews, but we did not experience same issues that others had mentioned in bad reviews. The overall property is definitely dated and not the highest quality, but the rooms that I saw had been renovated and were clean and comfortable. The staff also was very friendly and helpful, although this is a minimum staff hotel so there is not much service.

- Tiffany (10/5): If u are considering this hotel I say go for it it’s comfy friendly and a great location - I maid was amazing she showed us the jacuzzi suite and since they were not busy they upgraded our room to a king suite for no additional cost! My kids will never forget our experience cause all the staff was awesome and the jacuzzi in the room and being poolside was more than we thought possible. We will definitely be going back!!!! I didn’t like how the door wouldn’t open all the way in the bathroom and how it hit the toilet that’s my only complaint

I did not realize that the pool area was open to the common areas resulting in the musty smell. Was looking for a room that had 3 beds for 3 adults. Attending Iowa state football game and needed a reasonably priced room. I do not think that I would choose this hotel again
- Jesus (2/5): - This place was disgusting, I wouldn’t even call it a motel. The staff was okay enough no spectacular service or anything but that wasn’t a big deal or really expected. I go into the room and right away it smells disgusting. It was supposed to be a no smoking room, but it reeked. I go to see the bed, and the pillow cases and well as the pillow and sheets have yellow stains and feel wet and smell like mildew. That’s only the start as the rug also had many stains and we haven’t even discussed the restroom yet. The restroom you can see black mold everywhere it was genuinely so disgusting as the tub is the shower would be budging out on the floor as it seemed like water was pooling up under the plastic or whatever it is. Oh and let’s not forget the dead roaches that I found as well. Genuinely such a horrible stay and would not recommend anyone to stay here as I felt so uncomfortable throughout the night and could not sleep peacefully. Worst stay ever ESPECIALLY considering the price is somewhat a premium for what was offered, absolutely regret booking this place. DO NOT BOOK HERE

- M5709GZangier (2/5): Just don’t do it. - The hotel staff was friendly enough, but the hotel is garbage. It should be rated a 1 star property not three stars. We stayed in room 161 across from the indoor pool. The odor of stale fish greets you as soon as you open the door to the room. Not sure who warmed up fishing the microwave but housekeeping clearly did nit care to deodorize anything. Let alone provide daily service. We were there 3 nights and had to beg for clean towels and sheets by the third night. Who doesn’t clean a room for THREE days? There are stains in the carpet, and mold in the bathroom. The bathroom door does not open properly as the toilet is positioned too close to the door. There is no way this room passed any kind of building inspection. The door hits the toilet so you have to slide through the opening to get into the bathroom. The absolute icing on the cake is the drop ceiling in the shower. While you are showering, there is a leak from the upstairs unit and nasty water drips on you from the unit above as you try to shower. I would never recommend this hotel to anybody. There are so many other choices just across the street.

We arrived to check-in to our "poolside room" location so we could get the party started. We loaded down the luggage cart just about to the tippy-top, checked in, got the keys, start down the hall only to realize

This wouldn’t do for my husband who can’t lift legs high enough to get into tub. We were transferred to a walk in shower room. No grab bars in shower still unsafe. Desk service and personnel were great and accommodating. There was a lack of shower chairs for other patrons. Attached restaurant was a plus. Pool was great but use hours need to be stated and adhered to. Screaming girls from 8 to 11:30 pm. Were they the only ones here? NO

- W21PFjackh (10/5): Awesome and Affordable Hotel Outside of Des Moines - This hotel was really great! I was a little nervous when my company booked me here because some reviews in the past were negative. Apparently they have new owners and managers and I had a great stay! Clean, comfy, unique, good service & good food all inside the hotel; which I really like because I can do my paperwork at night with dinner and not have to go anywhere. There are a few things that need a little upkeep like the guest room doors are a little old and some fixtures like light switches were a bit outdated however, I wouldn't let that keep you from trying this place out. Beds were very comfortable, room was bright and fresh and I had a really great stay, nothing like some of the past review here. Even the night team at the front desk was helpful plus they had snacks / beverages for sale around the clock.

It has a beautiful pool and a great restaurant attached. You do get a free breakfast at the restaurant. And you can get all 3 meals there if you want to. The food is great! This hotel has just been remodeled and it's very nice for the price. It's probably one of the best Wyndham properties we've stayed at. I would highly recommend this hotel 5 stars 🌟

At check out we were wanting to talk to someone and they walked by us 2-3 times never stopped at desk to check us out so I tossed room key on counter and left. 170.00 for this was insane..

It is clean and quality finished, but the execution of installations were poor. cheap caeling tiles, gaps in corners, painted over fixtures and older tubs and airconditioners.

Room Decor was hip and new. Window darkening shades: good. Pool space is good. Workout room- good. . The bad: Good grief. Fix these guest room doors! Put some weatherstripping around the door jambs. Nothing worse than seeing bright light shining around the doors all night. Had to stuff towels around the doors to darken room. Also: no door strike around the Onity keyless lockset. Come on guys. You just carved a hole into the jamb and left it. Totally unsecure. Also what's with the baby blue paint scheme on these doors and trim? Looks cheap, dated and crappy. The exterior side entrances are crap! Spend some money and replace these 1970's hunks of crap with decent aluminum storefront doors. All in all....You did some things good and then dropped the ball on the other items.

- Gary (6/5): Overpriced for the condition of the hotel. Should have been a sub $100 stay. - It was an okay stay at an okay hotel. Nothing stood out as great or exceptional. Everything was basically okay except the the morning coffee...that was bad. The morning coffee. The hotel was outdated. The hotel was not super clean.
- Emily (8/5): - The rooms were a bit dirty. It did not look like the shower had been cleaned, and the shower handle came off if moved slightly wrong. Overall, it was a decent and affordable place to stay.
- Jeff (2/5): Disgusting. NEVER AGAIN!!! - 3 beds in one room The hallway carpets appeared very soiled and smelled disgusting. The whole facility looked unfinished and outdated. The quality of the “remodel” was very poor. Our hotel room door did not latch securely and a lot of light was coming through. The bathroom barn door was very poor quality as was the tile work, the caulking, the paint everything! There were a couple dark hairs in one of the beds. The staff at the check in counter did not have the greatest of manners nor were they very friendly. We will never stay at this hotel again!!!

- Bryan (5/5): Other options - Our room needed work. No light in shower, toilet area. There was conduit on wall low by floor falling off. Had a very strong bad smell, was giving my wife a headache each time in room.

- David (2/5): Don’t stay there - Hotel was in poor condition. The room had an awful smell. We left and found a better hotel. It was so bad we paid for a different hotel
- Junior (5/5): It could have been better, I expected better. - The outside was looking nice Old property: we had a hard time trying to get into the room, the door had to be pushed/forced to open. The phone in the bedroom wasn’t operating neither was the bathroom door. No utensils, or light in the bathroom.
- Caressa (6/5): Clean room but not great tub. - Comfortable bed, clean room, but I was very irritated that the tub took almost two hours to remotely fill… and then the jacuzzi jets didn’t even work. I would’ve just got a regular room if I had known that.
- Michael (2/5): - Property is not as advertised. Bathroom door won’t open with out hitting toilet. Strong chlorine smell. Jacuzzi tub didn’t work when selected room just for that feature. No elevator
- terrintreshonh (10/5): The bomb! - Jane is amazing! As well as entire staff! From check in to check out they make sure that you as a guest are fully taken care of! Best part of it all is that the property is connected to the Ankeny diner! Mmmm! It's close by a whole lot of shops and very close to interstate! Superb!
- Julie (6/5): - It ticked all the boxes. It’s obviously an older building, but it was clean, beds were comfortable, room had a mini fridge and microwave. Air conditioner took a while to get the room cooled off. Nothing spectacular but no complaints either.
- melissial2018 (2/5): No hot water and rude employees - Three out of the four days we had no hot water when we said something to the employees they said to run it for three minutes and it will heat up. Fill the tub still no hot water. They were very rude about it. Seven out of 10 room we rented and no hot water.
- Daniel (6/5): Not my first choice - Overall, it was OK. The other hotel we usually stay at was full. This is an older worn hotel that has a fresh coat of paint and new furnishings in the rooms. On the surface it looks good, but if you look close, you can tell it still needs some work. For example, doors, trim and woodworking are worn. I would stay here again, but it would not be my first choice.
- Mark (2/5): - This is an aged worn-out property that is being presented and branded as a quality property, but in unfortunately is really overpriced for the quality of stay.
