Guest Reviews
- Thomas (9/5): - Sehr gutes Frühstück. Nachbarn waren leider sehr laut.
- Adele (8/5): -
- Angi Hombach (8/5): -
- Voyager52286178565 (4/5): Wanna sleep? Get a different motel. - Too close to the freeway and very noisy. Beds are rather firm and breakfast was not worth bothering with.
- Saign (6/5): -
- Jefferson (1/5): Smoke stained non smoking room. - Nothing Our non smoking room was very much smoked in. Staff had no other rooms available so we still stayed in it but it was terrible.
- Mark (9/5): -
- Tony (8/5): -
- Valerie (6/5): Comfortable bed- not a great location - The room was ok but a bit dated and we didn’t like the fact that the toilet and shower were separate from the sink area. The shower/ bath taps were very loose and old looking and it was very difficult to control the temperature. You could get badly scalded if you weren’t very careful . The “motel” was positioned very near the main highway in a not that great location and there are major road works being done at present outside the entrance. Breakfast was adequate but the juice dispenser just seemed to dispense a watery liquid!!!!!
The one highlight of this place is the bed was comfortable!!!!
- Dale Farace (4/5): - Bed was comfy First room had flies in it and AC was broken
Had to switch rooms
Outdated
- Skyler (6/5): Ehh - The ac units werent working in the lobby or the room. The worked acted like i was a burden to check in.
- Christina (4/5): An adventure not wanted - ...nothing really. If I had to pick one thing it would be the gentleman at the reception. He was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately this did not make the room/our stay better. The room, the floor was dirty, the bathroom was tiny, the toilet could be found in a daycare it was that low to the ground, the lobby to eat breakfast at was cramped and hot, the air conditioner was very loud and either too cold or too hot.
- Jonathan (10/5): - Great stay!
- Joanne (8/5): A good stop over place. Not expensive, swimming pool, car parking- a good Mexican across the car park. Staff at the hote - It was very reasonable priced, with a good swimming pool.
- Kathryn (8/5): - Room was clean and quiet but showing its age a little bit. The beds were quite firm but comfortable. Front desk staff were super kind and professional. Property access and parking were super simple even with major road construction underway.
- Nancy (5/5): If you have to stay somewhere to sleep while on the road the bed was comfortable, the staff pleasant - I don't eat any of it, not up to the quality I am use to for breakfast. Shabby outside, bedroom carpet awful, shabby looking and old caulking in the bathroom - cleaners did great considering.
- Verified traveler (2/5): This place is a NOPE - I don’t know what kind of hotels these other reviewers who are leaving 10 star reviews are normally staying in but this place is gross. It’s like an old motel 6 someone slapped a Best Western sign on. Our room had stains on the ceiling, the AC was loud and obnoxious, the floor tiles in the bathroom tilted when you walked on them like there was no subfloor and the carpet and walls were greasy and stained. We stayed one night and left. The staff is very pleasant and nice and helpful but that’s where the “good” points about this place end. Do yourself a favor and stay at the place down the road that you pass on your way to the Best Western, it’s a lot nicer and clean.
- J6400CZjoef (10/5): Good accommodations at an excellent price. - This is a pretty good Best Western. It had a clean outdoor pool and hot tub. The shower water was hot. The room AC worked. The beds were comfortable. There were plenty of linens. The refrigerator worked. The coffee machine worked ( I always bring along my own Keurig pods ) and the price was excellent for 2025. And the big bonus: it is right next door to an excellent Mexican restaurant open for both lunch and dinner. A short walk across the parking lot. On the downside: Wheaton is doing a lot of road construction on the street in front of the hotel so be ready to take some detours to get to the parking lot.
- DANIELLE (5/5): Our stay overall was comfortable, wish there were better breakfast options but not bad. - The hotel room was definitely older but updated. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. We did not use the shower so not sure about the water pressure but It had a microwave, fridge, iron and ironing board. I liked that there were sufficient USB charging ports for our electronics. Clean towels, and the pool was nice. While the room overall was clean there was food on the floor that I found when I went to get into bed. I did not prefer the breakfast. They did have waffles and cereal but nothing to accommodate people with allergies or intolerance so I could not partake in eating any breakfast there.
- lori (10/5): - Fabulous check-in! Friendly and helpful and cookies right out of the oven waiting for us! Service was impeccable! Rooms clean and nice.
- markfW9630MI (10/5): Excellent Service Even During An Unussual Circumstance - For a small town hotel, this Best Western provided excellent service. The staff were extremely accommodating, especially when my travel agent messed up my bookings: I needed two ADA rooms and the agent only booked one! The night staff arranged for an ADA room scheduled for maintenance (door painting) to be made available for occupancy. The staff even allowed an extension of the ADA bookings when my plans change during our visit.
Hats of the this hotel staff!
- Jutta (9/5): - Gute Betten. Restaurant fußläufig zu erreichen. Ruhige Zimmer. Badezimmer mit Fenster. Straßenbaustelle vor der Tür.
- Ga1952ro (5/5): If we visit Wheatland, Wyoming again, we will choose another motel. - The bed was comfortable and everything appeared to be clean. Good information in the binder including television channels. We were greeted with a hot, musty-smelling room. It took a while to figure out that the air-conditioning unit was located high up on an inside wall with a separate thermostat. The layout of the room was puzzling and poor with a lack of counter space for making coffee, using hair rollers, etc. There were not enough electrical outlets. Not the hotel's fault, but the construction on the road leading up to the motel was inconvenient and, if there had been rain, would have been a muddy mess.
- andrew (8/5): - Road construction going to hotel. Otherwise OK
- Dean (8/5): - Great staff. The pool was nice and clean. Fresh baked cookies at check-in.
- Dylan (10/5): - Great mexican food next door. Cats everywhere. Pool was nice and deep
- Necia (8/5): Clean place to stay - Older drive-up motel style but remodeled and clean. Staff was super helpful and friendly. The kids really enjoyed the pool and hot tub.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - older building with clean and neat rooms
- Linda (10/5): - The breakfast was great and the staff were super friendly!
- Karin (10/5): Nice staff and clean - Convenient and clean. Ashley was the best helping answer my questions and provided warm cookies 🍪 so appreciated after a long day on the road. Breakfast crew was lovely too.
- Frances (8/5): - Room 201 needs air conditioner control on wall synced with wall unit.
- April (10/5): - Nice and quiet and very comfortable beds
- wayne (10/5): - Great
- montanag477 (2/5): Beware of mice! - Beds are uncomfortable, the hotel room had mice, there was mouse droppings on the towels and in the drawers. They had been in there awhile. Toilet ran all night, reported it for a week and it still was never addressed. Really loud, hotel in right next to the interstate. I don’t recommend this hotel.
- Julie (7/5): Clean and neat. - Breakfast was good. Steps into room
- Trisha (2/5): Never Again - We were in Wheatland for our 13 year old son's baseball tournament. There was also a truck rally that was going on that weekend that we didn't know about. The hotel was full of Rally goers, that were really just there to party, rev their truck engines, burn out and race through the parking lot.
When we brought this to the attention of the front desk, we were basically brushed off and told they couldn't hear anything. After hours of the partying and loud noises we had enough and decided it was best to change hotels.
After asking the front desk for a refund due to the chaos that was happening we were told no due to the 24 hr cancelation policy.
The hotel did nothing to try and mitigate the noise or anything that was happening. We will never stay at this hotel again.
- Mary (4/5): - It wasn’t bad but very old. Gaps in the bathroom door, road construction right outside our door.otherwise it was fine.
- Sharyl (8/5): - The staff was very kind. Loved the gift basket. The employee gave us great advice on dining options.
We booked here because of hot tub. After driving we couldn't wait to relax in the tub. When we arrived the tub wasn't ready for the season. They should've not posted they have one if it wasn't available. The room we had was what you would expect at motel six. 147.00 for a night should've been a lot nicer. Best Westerns are know for nice places. The freeway was really close so traffic noise was loud. The door on our room looked unsafe. You could see daylight because the weather striping was gone.
must.gonFoogreat.
- Tonia (6/5): - Very old property with some updating but not to doors (didn't fully shut) or the bath/shower. Satisified with the cleanliness overall, and the staff was great but the room and property did not live up to the on line photos. I feel like the price was quite high for what it is. Overall a decent place to lay your head for a night.
- Michael (9/5): Nice stay - Clean and quiet
- Mona (8/5): - N/A
- April (10/5): - Very clean and modern. The staff was very friendly!
- Cheryl (10/5): - Very updated. Likes everything
- Elizabeth (10/5): My favorite place to stay in Wheatland, WY. - Good breakfast options. Comfy bed. Very accommodating with my requests (i.e. first floor, dog friendly room). Nothing. In my opinion, everything was great.
- benmK1345ZA (10/5): Kind welcome - Ashley, at check in was Amazing. Very kind and welcoming experience. Everyone here is great, really. The beds will swallow you up into the best night sleep of your life. They are so comfortable and the breakfast was wonderful! Great experience! I will always stay here whenever I'm in this area!
- George (8/5): We had a restful stay and enjoyed the fine Mexican restaurant next door - you can walk to dinner! - Freshly baked cookies were very welcoming and the coffee was good. Staff were great! and accommodated our request for a ground floor room right away. NA
- Lionel (4/5): Disappointing -
- Uriel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Madsen (7/5): Good place to stop while on the road - The room was accessed from a door leading directly outside (motel-style) which made it easy to get bags in and out. The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious, and the thermostat was easy to use. The hotel staff also offered me a basket upon arrival that had some fruit, waters, and a muffin. The room was a tiny bit run down, and slightly out of date. But the space was still clean.
- Christina (9/5): Superb -
- Sallie (10/5): - Accidentally reserved a smoking room but it was clean. Staff was very nice.
- Penny (10/5): Hospitality at it’s finest! - Loved that it was so clean It is a little old, but welcoming
- Gerard (10/5): You’ve lost my business - Maybe you’ll FINALLY get my message about my earlier request for a refund from the holiday inn express back over a week ago!!!
Nothing has been responded too since my numerous requests.
Since your last changes, as an operation, you have SUCKED!
I used to be able to call hotels.com customer service and immediately take care of issues. It’s now impossible.
I guess it’s time to switch to a different app for hotel booking . But then you probably wouldn’t notice because your customer relations are now non-existent
- Sharon (5/5): Location was convenient and it was the best the town had to offer. Staff were friendly. - Was close to location we were visiting. There was an indentation in the floor between bedroom and bathroom. It seemed like the floor was slanted toward the rear of the room. Could not adjust the temperature.
- Phillip (10/5): - Very nice staff. Clean, quiet and comfortable.
- Kristen (10/5): - Great breakfast after a quite nights sleep. Friendly staff.
- Kristen (10/5): - Friendly staff and great breakfast.
- Bob (8/5): - This is an older place, no doubt. It isn't shiny and new, but it's functional and the people running it do their best in msking your stay comfortable.
The morning breakfast was surprisingly good. It is a short walk to an outstanding Mexican restaurant just beyond some trees. Very convenient.
- Alesa (9/5): one night stay while traveling - very comfortable room - great breakfast. Would stay again - What a delight after a long day of travel. Upon check-in - we received a GIFT BASKET! We traveled for 12 days & 9 states - several hotels but never had a super gift basket! A pleasant surprise. Great Mexican restaurant a walk away. loved our stay - no negative comment
- Debbie (8/5): - Comfortable room.
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- davefJ9276UQ (10/5): Best Western Torchlight is my choice to stay when my business takes me to Wheatland, Wyoming. - The rooms are clean and comfortable at the Best western, Torchlight in Wheatland, Wyoming. The outdoor pool and hot tub were open and clean.
I especially enjoyed the fresh baked cookies when I returned to the hotel early enough to still get a couple, after work.
- Uriel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wade (10/5): - Excellent staff! Even gave me a gift basket upon check-in!
- Lori (6/5): - Disappointed. Pictures much better than actually there.
- Cindy (9/5): Superb - Our room was really nice, it kept cool on one of the hottest days of the year. The entire staff was extremely nice, front staff to housekeeping. The room was simple and comfortable, and the hotel was supper easy to find. Didn't use the pool, maybe next time. Na
- Gordon (8/5): Very good -
- Paulette (8/5): - Very nice
- wallyg318 (10/5): Clean pet friendly hotel - Hotel is right off the expressway. Room was very clean for a pet friendly room. Staff was friendly. Our dog loved the welcome treat. Plenty of room and bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean and tv and internet worked great. We would stay here again anytime.
- Lisa (10/5): - Chocolate chip cookies were amazing.
- Melvin (8/5): - Good stay.
- Thomas (10/5): Great service - Excellent service, great breakfast and clean functional room.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (10/5): - Nice staff and clean room. Easy to find and close to what I traveled to Wheatland for.
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patience (10/5): Exceptional - Pleasant location close to the highway, lots of parking, big rooms with comfortable beds, staff were very pleasant.breakfast was great with good options Nothing that I could think of.the place is great, clean and easily accessible
- Lawrence5279 (8/5): A first rate Best Western - We had requested a ground floor room. When we arrived the gentleman at the desk said he wasn’t sure if any ground floor rooms were ready but he went out and personally found one for us which I appreciated. We were able to park right in front of the room which made loading and unloading much easier. The room itself was large and comfortable with microwave and refrigerator and a good sized desk. The breakfast was excellent with a large variety of offerings. The breakfast room was on the small side but we appreciated that they didn’t have the air conditioning blasting like at some hotels where you feel like you’re dining in a refrigerator. I definitely recommend this hotel.
- bryanb756 (10/5): Great motel - Excellent customer service, friendly people and the room was clean!
Older hotel, but very well maintained!
The breakfast was excellent as well.
We would definitely stay here again.
The beds are comfortable and plenty of fluffy pillows! Very quiet location.
- Rosie (8/5): - Very clean, breakfast was laid out very nicely
- Kim (8/5): Good for why we were in the area. - Staff, location, clean, suitable for a couple of nights Pool looked like it needed cleaning. Didn't swim in it because of this.
- Randy (7/5): For what we needed it was good - Breakfast was great. Staff friendly. Needs updated bathroom. And steps to the room was inconvenient to bring suitcases
- RENEE (10/5): - The staff were friendly and very helpful. We were in town for a family reunion. I rented 3 rooms and they were clean and had plenty of towels. We got a small fruit basket at check in for each room. The breakfast was substantial and coffee, juice and cookies were available in the lobby all day.
Before and after the reunion there were lots of kids playing in the heated pool and running into the lobby for snacks and towels. The staff just took it all in stride.
- Cory (10/5): - Nice motel.
- GREGORIO (10/5): - Clean room, and excellent (free) breakfast!
- Robert M (10/5): Very nice! - Returning home, I decided to take a different route, which brought me through the little town of Wheatland. After seeing some of the hotel prices in nearby Cheyenne, I decided to stop here instead. I'm glad I did. The room was comfortable and clean. Bathroom was tiny and maybe a little outdated, but everything worked. Overall, the room was comfortable and clean. Front desk staff was friendly and professional and I was given a gift basket upon check-in. Wow! There is also a pet area across the parking lot with some tables and chairs. The free breakfast offered a good selection of hot items (eggs, bacon, sausage, omelettes) as well as cold items. Very impressed!
- Bruce (10/5): Go way above and beyond- the best reception and warm welcome I’ve had in 69 years - 👀 dictionary exceptional service = Best Western Torchlite. WOW!!!! At check in we got warm cookies and a welcome basket with two bottles of water two pieces of fresh fruit and other assorted treats!!! I’m 69 years old and never had such a warm awe inspiring reception. Obviously this is a family run business with their attention to detail. Most hotels charge you for these types of treats. They offer hot and cold options for breakfast. Also there is a grill if guests would like to avail themselves to it. Their pool is well kept and a good size. Will be staying there for sure next time. Not a thing
- Colton (10/5): - Loved it
- kaelaceleste (10/5): Good one night stay - Stayed for just a night but no complaints! Check in staff was super friendly and gave us bottled water and snacks. Our room was clean and we were able to park right in front which was super convenient. Walking distance to a few restaurants which was also nice.
- Tom (10/5): Nice place, friendly front desk, good location - Very good location, pleasant motel,
great Mexican restaurant with short walk N/A
- Misty (10/5): - The breakfast was amazing! Staff was friendly and accomodating!
- Lorri (6/5): - You can tell they are trying to remodel but there is a lot of room for improvement on the cleaning side of things.
- Thomas (7/5): Good - Pool and hottub Lack of elevator
- F1626AGrichardo (8/5): Right off I-25 - While not new, this was quiet and clean. The desk person was great, very helpful and informative about the town and vicinity. We got a nice gift basket upon checking in, with waters, fruit, and cookies. We’d stay here again. Slept well. Easy on & off interstate.
- Mike (6/5): - Needs updated and cleaned a little bit better. Mattress was old and hard. A bit overpriced for the property.
- Irma (10/5): - Property is fair condition but pretty clean. Super nice staff members. The guy who checked us on was great.
- Nancy (5/5): Passable -
- Marv (6/5): Pleasant -
- Stacy (10/5): Would stay here again. - Received a welcome basket upon check in!! Staff was very friendly. GREAT breakfast. Outside appears dated, but inside was good.
