• Lynn (6/5): I probably won't stay again - I didn't see anything I wanted and got breakfast elsewhere. I'm not tall and in my late 60's. The beds are so high it was hard for me to get on the bed and get comfortable. I requested a room with a grab bar by the toilet. That didn't happen and there was literally nothing to hold on to for balance at all.

• hnhouser (8/5): - The staff went above and beyond for us as my husband left some items in the room when we were checking out and we came back hours later to get them. Location is great. I think it's one of the nicer places to stay in Alamosa - not fancy, but decent and clean. Glad we stayed here instead of another place the rest of our party was staying.
• Dan (6/5): - I would suggest getting a new tub. This one was almost black with age and bubbled. I would also suggest alway be sure shampoo and conditioner and body wash is full. I showered later in the evening only to find no shampooing or conditioner after my long hair was wet. Too late to do anything about it. These are easy fixes to make one’s stay a positive experience. But the staff were friendly and helpful.

• sarah (6/5): - The room was very clean and the staff was great! The hotel is old and we could hear the road and everything happening around us. Our ac unit was loud but even when we turned it off we could hear the AC unit next door to us. The coffee in the morning was great!
• Richard (10/5): - We have stayed at this Best Western location before and had zero problems. Our only complaint this time around was the breakfast. This was the first time ever that the breakfast at a Best Western was subpar. The scrambled eggs were over cooked and they had what looked like chop suey sauce next to the eggs. To say we were disappointed in the breakfast choices was an under statement. We expect more from Best Western. Other than the breakfast, it was a wonderful stay.

• Susan (8/5): - Stayed one night whilst visiting Great Sand Dunes. 10 minute drive into centre of Alamosa. Hotel is motel style and has plenty of parking. Clean and functional for a one night stay.
• Gabriel (8/5): Meh - The hotel was ok for a small town. However the bathtub looked filth and had a poor reglaze which made it look unappealing. Beds were a bit too small and hard and the pillows were very uncomfortable. It served its purpose and was enough for my purposes.

• Julie (10/5): - I could tell the property was in the process of updating rooms. My room was updated with one exception- the bathtub. It was clean- but old. Again- it was clean. But I could tell they're updating. Front desk staff was nice. They as good instructors in the room on how to use the tv remote (it's a bit different than anything I've used before so appreciated the information should use the tv and cable). AC kept the room chilly as it was a hot day when I arrived.

Overall the room was very clean as well as the property itself. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good except the eggs were literally cold as if they came out of the refrigerator.

• Lisa (5/5): For the value, it was an OK place to be for just the 1 night - we do like the courtyard to this particular hotel, due to the ease of walking the pets on grass. Other hotels rarely offer that here in Alamosa. The staff was pleasant, check in was quick. We stayed here before a few years back and it was in much better shape than it was this time. The shower/tub was obviously in need of replacement, the dispensers did not work, so we had to remove the bag from the inside to squeeze out what we needed. The shower head did not work all that great either, the head needed replaced. The carpet was stained in a few places in the room and the bed covers were also stained in a few places. The bed was somewhat comfortable but the pillows were not.

• WITZLEBEN (8/5): Average - Breakfast was disappointing. No OJ, eggs were dry and probably powdered. Had requestded a Handicapped room, but did not get, but noticed that the man that checked in right behine me, probably late 30's, drove to the handicapped room, but parked in non handicapped and went into the handicapped room. The room did have a mild odor of disinfectant.

• Mary (8/5): Nice stay - Our trip and stay was good. The property was busy and there was ample parking. We loved the green space of the picnic area and the trees. The room was clean and comfortable. The tub should probably be upgraded (replaced). Some things were older, but clean. We asked for an extra blanket, and the check-in woman was very friendly and accomodating.

• Zachary (8/5): Affordable option if visiting Great Sand Dunes - Affordable place not far from Great Sand Dunes National Park. Breakfast included had some different options. Nothing wrong with the property - just a simple hotel that had what you need if you just need a place to sleep for a night or two.
• Carolyn (8/5): - Though this Best Western looks aged and outdated, our room looked like it had been recently remodeled with clean paint and a new (although eerily squishy) tub insert. To help you make plans, here’s more: Half the rooms are on the second floor with no elevator. If you can’t manage hauling luggage and a cooler up the stairs, do what you can to stay downstairs. All rooms face the main road. Expect some traffic noise Pool: fine, but has a strange green hue. In a hot greenhouse type building, which I liked because you don’t shiver when wet. Hot tub wasn’t working. Was a draw for us, so that’s disappointing. Change the amenities listing if you are not going to fix it. Also, it’s weird to have it in its own side room. Breakfast: good with an attentive front desk clerk refilling things. Housekeeping was very nice when we returned to look for a forgotten item. Adjacent to KFC and then IHOP is just beyond that.
