Guest Reviews
- Michael (10/5): Good value for the accommodations. - We had a one bedroom suite, Great value for the price, quiet and close to the interstate. Very clean and and orderly. Don’t use CC for the vending machines, totally robbed, $2 for a candy bar, $5 charged to our CC 😔
- deanamcdaniel (8/5): Enjoyed my stay and you will too - The room was clean and the pool area was nice and clean area to have some fun in with the grandchildren.
- Crystal (10/5): - Clean We only had the option of staying by the pool with the room we needed and it was loud.
- Juliet (5/5): Funky old hotel - Bed was ok. Weird old hotel. Bathroom moldy. Stained carpets. Must be waiting to tear it down.

- Shanna (6/5): I will not stay here again. - The convenience of the hotel being close to the interstate was good. The key didn’t work for the building when I went out in the morning and I had to walk around the entire building to the lobby. Normally not a problem but it was icy. They didn’t maintain the walkway and it was very slippery. I saw the guy putting the salt out at 11:30. It should have been done at 7. 9 at the latest. Also hard bed. Dirty tub. The air blew squealing noise all night and I couldn’t turn it off. Bad night sleep.

- Briar (8/5): -
- Heather (1/5): - The whole hallway smelled like Marijuana. We cancelled atvthe front desk... she was nice and understood. The whole hallway smelled like Marijuana... even the room had a musty smell. And baloney.. what a joke it faces the inside pool.
- Sherisa (9/5): -
- WILLIAM (10/5): -
- Venus (10/5): Couldn't get home because of snow storm but staff was very accommodating - The girl that checked me in was great and very helpful in a snow storm. Nice variety for breakfast but the eggs were over cooked and the sausage was crunchy and dried out but so glad you had cranberry juice Breakfast could have been better
- eknutson2025 (10/5): Hockey tournament - Hotel was clean and had a nice breakfast. Our team had lots of fun there in the spaces that were for gathering
- Denise and Harlan (8/5): - Ok
- Snyder (9/5): -
- kathy (4/5): - Bugs, bug spray smell
- Alex (1/5): - Nothing Old, filthy looking and not well kept!
- Dawn (6/5): - This is an old hotel that has a convention center attached. The hallway carpet is just plain awful--very old and so dirty. We were put as far away from the main desk as possible, and with a room that could overlook the swimming pool. The lights from the pool shined in our room all night and the air conditioning could not have been louder. Would not recommend!
- Steve (4/5): - When you looked online they showed a restaurant on site, but it closed down. I stayed at many Country Inn & Suites and this was the worse one I ever stayed in. Don't reccomend it to anyone and will not ever stay at this one again.
- Debra (2/5): - Bathroom floor was dirty. Soap dispensers in shower were empty and heater/fan was loud and kept us awake most of the night. I asked for a blanket the 2nd night and it smelled awful, didn’t use it. Not a good stay.
- Jason (4/5): - The property is in need of a complete update. Staff were missing from the desk at all times.
- Lori (8/5): - It was comfortable
- lauren (8/5): - Friendly staff to greet you, clean room and bedding. Comfy mattress. Breakfast was decent.
- Joanne (8/5): - *
- Richard (10/5): - OK
- Pamela (8/5): - It needs an upgrade.
Breakfast was nice
- Natausha (8/5): - Property is very much showing wear. Beds are super hard. Staff was not super friendly. Hot er see Dr tub is broken.
- Heather (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE!!! - Please tear this place down the amount of mold here is absurd! The water smells like black dirt. Hot tub has been shut down for over a month. No where does anyone warn you except after you are there. Pool area is dingy and moldy. The place is very dated. Breakfast is blah. Save your money!! This place is awful. My child asked to leave. 3.5 hours and non refundable!
- Julie (8/5): - Old property but very clean.
- Leslie (8/5): - Doors are a little "janky" they are old and stop working sometimes. We had to change rooms because the reader on our door stopped working. The hotel was noise as kids were running unattended in the halls. Staff was responsive and very accommodating.
- Tammy (6/5): - The bed was very uncomfortable. We had towels on the balcony from the previous stay. Mirors and nightstand was not cleaned, bathroom floor was quite dirty. I would have expected a cleaner room for $200 a night.
- Brad (2/5): I’ll never stay at this site. Poorly run. - N/A. Never saw a room, but others complained at the front desk that their rooms hadn’t been cleaned.
- Dion (10/5): - Loved it
- Hutton (7/5): Clean and quiet stay. - It was clean and quiet! Just an older hotel, but service was good and everything was clean. Bed was pretty hard to sleep on. Mattress could be more soft
- KristinAlcGriffin (10/5): Favorite place to stay - The staff are friendly and helpful. Room is clean. Pool is great. Hope hot tub gets fixed soon but it's still be an awesome stay.
- Victor (5/5): - Very expensive for a mediocre hotel. Wasn't very clean. Run down. Needs routine maintenance. Price
Cleanliness especially in halls. Carpets need to be shampooed.
- William (4/5): - I picked the property because of ratings I saw, but they were not accurate. I picked it because there is a hot tub, but it was not functioning which was very disappointing to my family. The property was not clean. I’m not sure the beds had fresh sheets, the room smelled like chlorine I would not recommend staying there. I definitely paid way too much for a room that was inferior.
- Crystal (4/5): -
- Jim (10/5): - Breakfast was excellent. Check out was efficient.
- John (6/5): - WiFi weak in room. Room cleaned every third day?
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Clean, comfortable room. Great pool- very large with comfortable water temperature. Friendly staff.
- Lindsey (4/5): - Room was very dirty
- Barb (8/5): - It says that the pool is heated, but yet I froze my butt off. Otherwise, overall, it was a very wonderful stay.
- Shannon (10/5): - My room was spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly
- Steven (8/5): - It was a nice place to stay.
- Carlton (8/5): Very good - Atmosphere. Breakfast. Unique inside pool. Lighting
- Corny (10/5): - Really liked staying for the 3 nights we were in Fergus Falls. Our room was facing toward the pool with a little balcony to relax on. The pool was a nice way to cool off and enjoy the downtime. The staff was great and the breakfast was a step above the cheaper hotels. Would stay again if ever in the area
- Michelle (10/5): - Staff was helpful. The room was clean.
- Raul (6/5): - Gym was not like the pictures, front desk service was good vut hard to get ahold of them, hot tub was broken and no date when it would be working
- Bob (10/5): - Prompt, competent, and professional staff.
- Kristina (8/5): - It was convenient location for my weekend plans. The hot tub was not available on a holiday weekend and you couldn't use the pool past 10pm.
- Kelly (6/5): - Not updated. The hot tub was out of order. One of the reasons we booked the hotel was for the hot tub. The staff was nice. I think the pictures are deceptive on the quality and state of the place
- Johnson (8/5): Very good - Got charged for an extra room and we are working on getting a refund on that. Other than that it was okay.
- Debra (10/5): - Thoroughly enjoyed our sty. The jacuzzi in the room was a great surprise. It was very slippery so difficult to get out of. Suggest grab bars and non- slip tread on the bottom.
- Carolyn (1/5): See "what didn't you like".... - Not much! unclean facility. Card keys did not work on exit doors. Pools was COLD!, hot tub was not available due to maintenance? Would have been nice to have pools/tub information available in advance so that we could find other accommodations.
also was not expecting a damage deposit for us to stay.. Never in all my travels have I paid this! And then to hold those funds for a period of time is not a good idea.. Those funds should be returned time of checkout!!! Also this was not disclosed when booking the room.. shame on you.. I will never stay at another facility of yours in the future...!!
- Jennifer (8/5): - I would have preferred to workout at 5 when I get up. I was coaching figure skating so 8 am is too late.
- Adeliza (10/5): - The room was very clean, loved having a balcony over the pool
- Valery (8/5): - The free breakfast was very good! The door handle to our room was very loose.
- Julie (10/5): - Pool side room with large king size suite!
Friendly front desk staff.
- Angie (5/5): Passable -
- Verified traveler (8/5): Average Place - It’s an older hotel that was somewhat clean. We had the A/C on in our room but it was still stuffy. The young man at the front desk was extremely polite.
- Melodie (10/5): - I enjoyed the breakdast, TV, pool, hot tub, work out fitness room, staff, coffee bar.
- Alexandra (10/5): - Front desk person was extremely nice and friendly. Made the stay very welcoming and comfortable.
- Riley (10/5): Very relaxing - Very comfortable, easy check in, I was attending a funeral and it was nice to have a relaxing night
- Jose (10/5): - Good place to stay
- Steve (6/5): Gas stolen - Everything was great until we left and realized our gas tank had been siphoned to empty. Van was parked right in front so parking lot security was lacking. Otherwise nice and very acceptable hotel.
- Scitt (10/5): We had an amazing day!! - Well the breakfast was so so. Our daughter got married at the Bigwood Even Center so we stayed over night. The staff was amazing and so very accommodating. The breakfast wasn’t really tasty
- Randy (6/5): - Beds were very hard and uncomfortable. The fitted sheets were too small and did not fit the bed. Very uncomfortable too. No extra blankets.
- William (10/5): - Easy to get off freeway and back on. Friendly staff
- Mary (9/5): It was overall a great experience! - The pool was crystal clear! It could be vacuumed a little better.
- Scott (10/5): - We were really happy with this hotel. We got there about 10:30 PM and the woman that checked us in was great! Our room was a suite with a separate bedroom which was great! Breakfast was average, but the rest of this quick stay went great! Would definitely stay there again.
- Jan (10/5): - Friendly employees
- TravellerMH (6/5): Basic but Serviceable - I stayed at this Country Inn while on a recent road trip. This was a stopover when I just couldn't drive any more. The hotel is connected to what seems to be the town convention and event center. The hotel and rooms themselves were basic but serviceable. There is nothing fancy here. In fact, the hotel part really needs an upgrade out of the 1980s style dim corridors. Check in was quick. The desk clerk was friendly and efficient. The room was basic but clean. I did sleep okay here. Thankfully, the hotel was able to keep the noise of the event going on in the convention center out of the hotel part. Breakfast was fine. Again, basic but serviceable. I would suggest that in the future the cook should go easy on the pepper in the scrambled eggs or offer scrambled eggs without any pepper at all. I wouldn't seek out this Country Inn again as it just didn't offer anything beyond a simple hotel experience. However for a quick stopover, this property met those needs for me.
- Jaclyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- Zach (2/5): Not impressed by the uncleanliness and was overcharged for what we dealt with - The pool for my daughter The rooms were gross. There was old food under the bed and behind the refrigerator. The rooms were not clean by any means
- Matthias (5/5): Passable -
- Verified traveler (6/5): Just okay - Small town so there aren’t many hotel options. The staff is friendly but the hotel is not in the best condition. Seems a little sketchy and not very clean either.
- Jihong (10/5): - good place
- chellerawlsky (10/5): Hidden gem - We wanted to stay at the Americinn but supposedly they were full.
So booked at this country inn. It's an odd looking building in an odd area but it's a gem.
The room was super clean.
The pool area is awesome.
Enzo at the front desk made our day when he sweetly offered to assist us with our luggage cart
- Verified traveler (10/5): Will stay again - Housekeeping needs to be more thorough.
Carpet not vacuumed and under the sink needed
sweeping.
- Gary (10/5): - Convenience to the interstate. Very nice person at registration.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel over all was very nice. We had a toom facing the pool and there were people using the pool until after 11pm even though the pool closed at 10pm. Also beds are very firm.
- Linda (10/5): - Very nice facilities. Good service. Friendly staff.
- Vernon (8/5): Very good -
- David (8/5): Nice room, that's it. - Clean comfortable room and beds. Breakfast was pretty awful. Staff not very helpful.
- Brian (10/5): 21-22 July 2024 Ferguson Falls Stay - Great stay as usual at this property. The room was clean and comfortable. Check in was quick, professional and friendly. Special thanks to Sierra for accommodating a last minute room type change when we learned a family member would be joining us and we'd need two queen sized beds instead of the king we booked.
- Douglas (6/5): Rustic on the Outside - Updated in the Inside - It is high season in Fergus Falls. And for the business traveler really not many business hotels for any price. This Country Inn looked a little dated from the outside but the room as clean and the breakfast good. Would I stay here again? Yes.
- Clark (4/5): - Our room should have been cleaner as there was candy on the floor and hair in the shower. The carpet in hallways was dirty. We went to the ‘free’ breakfast and the eggs, sausage & biscuits were totally gone. No service at all to refill food. The juice machine was not working and the waffle mixture was too runny to use. Both of the ice machines in the hallway were not working. We’d never stay there again.
- Patrickvan3384 (10/5): Great service - Could find a better more friendly place to stay. Staff was very helpful.. even suggested places to dine...would recommend/stay here again
- Sharon (10/5): - Loved it! Would stay there again
- Jessica (6/5): Pleasant - Pleasant, helpful staff. Windows are not covered all the way making it bright daylight in the room at 5am. Hallways were very dirty. Bathroom had a lot of dirt in corners, not deep cleaned.
- Vernon (10/5): - Very large breakfast bar. Very nice rooms and air conditioning worked great!
- James (8/5): Good location - Okay
- Jon (10/5): - Minnesota shaped indoor pool
- Rebecca (10/5): - When we pulled up, we thought it was closed and vacant. There was only one car in the lot. Then when we checked in, the lady told us there were more people staying there. And she was very friendly and nice. The room was nice and the pool area was very nice. That was the biggest pool we’ve seen in a hotel before. I’d just say the property outside was very run down, could use some love. Overall a great and quiet place to stay.
- Christine (9/5): Was a last minute decision and couldn’t have been happier! - Pool
