- maydeliv2026 (2/5): Unfriendly staff and dirty rooms - We stayed here for a team event with parents and girls from our team and a majority of us had issues here. Multiple of our rooms were not cleaned when we checked in, the staff during breakfast was very rude, some of us got charged incorrectly and instead of problem solving or working with us the staff was dismissive and we had to call and bother the manager on her time off to help resolve the issue and even then the front desk staff was adamant on not helping us. The woman that was working there for breakfast was very rude. They watched and followed you as you served your breakfast and would tell you what you could take and what you couldn't. They ran out of a few things before breakfast was even halfway over and when someone asked for more batter for waffles they said they were not going to provide anymore. We have a small team and not even half of them got to eat what they would have liked. The hotel seemed pretty empty that morning and we were pretty much the only ones there. One of the girl's parents went down for breakfast really early with her laptop to get work done and was kicked out while drinking her coffee and eating her breakfast because they said she couldn't be on her laptop and eating. Another parent grabbed and started eating a dairy product that was expired.
- WA-Rider (10/5): Away from the crowded end of town - and well worth it! - Plenty of lodging options to choose from in Yreka CA, but this is by far the best place to stay - great prices, exceptional staff, clean and well maintained rooms, free breakfast, and - did I mention, EXCEPTIONAL staff? When was the last time a hotel clerk actually called you in your room (minutes after checking in) to ask if everything was to your liking? Muffins and bottled water await you upon check-in! The hotel is currently undergoing a complete remodel and update of all the rooms, but you would think they had already completed them based on how nice the rooms are. If you have the opportunity to stay in Yreka CA, be sure to check out the Best Western Miner's Inn - you won't be disappointed (or overcharged)! And - best of all, the staff are super friendly and accommodating!!!!!

- Heather (10/5): - The staff was super friendly and very helpful. It is a little older, but nice and comfortable and easy to find. The breakfast was good as well. Be sure to put your do not disturb sign up! We were walked in on by the cleaning staff hours before check out time.

- Marcus (6/5): - The staff were all very friendly. The room was run down: closet door wouldn’t open, the knob fell off when I tried to open it. And there was a sharp piece of metal projecting from the bottom of the door, a safety hazard to anyone. The toilet was filthy with black mold under the rim, and the edges of the sink splash boards were covered in gummy dirt that did come off with water and effort. Imagine what cleanser could clean? When I travel thru that corridor, I will bypass Yreka completely since this was the best housing available.

- X8226NOcarolb (8/5): Great staff. - Very welcoming office staff who were very helpful. Nice older motel that is thoughtfully furnished with everything needed to be comfortable. Convenient location.
- DanInPS (4/5): Sad motel reminiscent of a thankfully by-gone era - This is a sad old-style motel. The rooms are small and dark, with worn out furnishings. In our room, the toilet ran continuously, and although we reported it immediately, no-one came to repair it (but we were only there one night). There was a musty smell in the bathroom. The upholstered seats and the drapes were stained and the furniture water-marked from drinks. Oddly, the bathroom offered two types of conditioner, but no shampoo! The room did have a working microwave and an ample sized and quiet fridge. No USB outlets had been added, though these are now common in most motels. This room was like something out of the 1960s. On the plus side, the staff were very helpful and accommodating, and the included breakfast was very good. I particularly appreciated the labeling of allergens in the breakfast food - something you often don't get in much more expensive lodgings. If you have to stop somewhere in Yreka, this might be a good option - but try and make sure you don't have to stay more than one night.

No one did anything about it. There was no soap in the shower. Also there was no microwave in the room. For the price (about double of most budget motels) I was pretty disappointed.

There are two areas for dogs to utilize which were also spacious areas. Breakfast was great and the staff even let us bring our pup with us. There were a couple dirty areas in the room but nothing to keep us from coming back again. It is an older property but they are renovating it. We were very happy with our short stay.

Cajoled a newer room that was much more exceptable by comparison. The newer room had shower temperature plumbing backwards so it would be possible to scald oneself if not noticing. Sad.

- Tim (4/5): - I have stayed here many times, but over the last 2 years the quality of the place has gone down. The place is old and needs a lot of remodeling. The last visit, the TVs were all out of order. The toilet leaked the towel bar had been ripped off. They always try to put us on the second floor which we cannot manage, and they do not have an elevator.

- Z2613CGcarriem (10/5): The Best Hotel in Yreka! - I can't say enough about my stay here. The room was extremely clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and always had a smile on their face. The breakfast was good and tasty. They even had gluten-free bagels and muffins. This was a good surprise as I am gluten intolerant. I was in Yreka because my sister-in-law passed away. Jeff and Marsha had lived in Fort Jones for over 34 years. My brother stayed with me at the hotel and he is visually impaired and the staff were very accommodating to us. When they saw us coming in every morning they made sure that we had a table to sat at and would help me with whatever we needed. We will be returning shortly to Yreka and we will be staying here again. Thank you all for making our stay welcoming.

Our visit at the Inn was very nice with some minor problems, but we were not in the rooms enough for it to bother us too much. The TV remote did not work and took 2 days to fix, the small refrigerator never worked during our Th-M stay despite three repair requests, the sheets did not fit the bed, and the mattress leans to one side. My keycard needed refreshing twice during the stay. The folks at the counter were very welcoming and cordial.

- DagneyT (10/5): Clean and efficient - We stayed at the BW Miners Inn in Yreka CA for one night, on April 2, and at the last minute, as we had a horrendous experience at the Bard's Inn in Ashland OR and literally had to pack up and leave. The Miners Inn had a dog friendly room available, which we needed as we were traveling with our two German Shepherds. The room was clean and on the first floor, with a sliding glass window to a grassy area, making dog walks very convenient. Overall, this property is a little older, but well maintained and centrally located. The staff was professional and friendly. Our room was located directly next to a river, so for an inexpensive hotel, it was an excellent value! We would stay at this hotel again.

- haxby123 (6/5): Free wake-up-and-get-out service - Great bed, easy check-in BUT housekeeping walked into my room at 7:30 am AND again an hour later. The first time scared the crap out of me, the second time I was expecting it because I could hear them outside walking back and forth past my window and I knew it was inevitable that they were dying to come back in and scare me again. Maybe get a system like other places instead of just hoping the guests aren’t in their room?

- Leslie (6/5): - It was a lower class of what Best Western gives in other areas of the US. Paid way too much for what we got. We booked a king room and got a queen room, and since we were there in Yreka,CA due to a family emergency we just took the room.

- Nancy (6/5): - I can only give it two stars because we signed up for a suite. When we arrived the suite had no pillows in the room no towels and was not clean. We went back to the office, explained ourselves and we're given another suite right next to the first one. That room had no sheets or blankets and also was not clean. We went back to the office and were assigned yet another room. This time everything was intact but the bedroom we were in smelled as though it was once a smoking room. We tolerated it, but it is clear that this establishment is having some problems with its cleaning crew.
- Randall (6/5): - For some reason they put us in a room that you had to drive out and onto street and back into a different driveway. Apparently the ADA rooms are on that side. I didn’t request an ADA room but the room was clean and it was nice and quiet
- william (10/5): - The bathtub wasn't quite as clean as it should have been with a little bit of hair etc but very nominal considering

- Laura (10/5): - Comfortable room, good location, I will stay here again when passing through. Jake at the front desk was very pleasant, efficient, and accommodating with my booking requests. He’s an asset to this property.
- Wendy (8/5): - Room 5 , bed near bath room needs to have mattress flipped . It sloped towards the night stand .
- Wayne (6/5): - The room was tired and not clean. Found pet food pieces and a used mayonnaise packet on the floor. There was also a used soap bar in the shower.

- Beth (6/5): - Missed having Kleenex in the room. I felt that our room, at the back of the property, was not conducive to utilizing the morning breakfast. Also, the mattress was in need of replacement. Very uncomfortable due to the used condition. Specifically, the deep dips and contours of previous guests.
- FrequentFlier636876 (8/5): Convenient location, easy on and off freeway - Large , clean room. Quiet and comfortable . Friendly office staff. I don't like being told I have to add more characters to my post !! So this will be the last review I will ever do for BestWestern stays ! You really need to fix this review issue !!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not worth the money - Beds was just ok, room was quite, greeting at check in was marginal breakfast was non existent, coffe was bitter and needed to be refilled
- Brian (10/5): - Some of the light switches and interior door locks inside our suite didn’t work. Overall though, we had a wonderful quiet stay and a great breakfast. Plenty of room, huge comfortable beds, lovely grounds and a good Mexican restaurant in the parking lot added to the appeal.
