• Road61989140316 (2/5): Wish I had read reviews - Location is amazing! Rooms are dated. Hallways are dark. Beds are uncomfortable. I wouldn't dare sit on the couch. It was stained, and smelled so, so bad. 2 towels given...took multiple calls to get more. Good luck finding parking if they have an event going on at the conference center. Very cut up. No common area. Pool closes at 830. No extended hours. Of the many hotels we have travelled to, this would not be a choice ever again.

• traceydH9954GB (4/5): Horrible - Horrible stay. The pool and hottub were broken and frigid! The staff said it broke over 7 days ago and still wasn't repaired. The noise in the hall after 10pm sounded like a frat house. There were over 20 people hanging out yelling and drinking. My elderly mother couldn't sleep. Beyond awful.
• H7204MYjimk (4/5): Stay away at this time - I have stayed at this location before and had no problems but currently there is a large group of people staying here that work for BELFOR. (February 12,2026). This particular group is loud, rude and unruly. There were several loud cursing arguments in public spaces. Loud music and videos in the breakfast area. One gentleman even thought it was appropriate to start doing pushups while in line for breakfast blocking the area. I will not be staying there again while this group is still staying at the hotel. The staff seemed overwhelmed cooking and cleaning up after them and it is reflected in the cleanliness of the room I stayed in.
• O886KZpaulf (2/5): Ripped Off - My wife and I stayed here on November 7th last year to visit our grand daughter who is studying at the local College. We paid for the room in advance using airmiles ( Via American Airlines) and a credit card payment. On checking in I gave my credit card over, as seems to be the practice, to register for any further costs I might incur. On returning to the UK I found I had been charged again for the room. I had paid twice. I gave up trying to get in touch with the hotel directly as their web page has no such function and contacted Best Western in Britain who contacted best Western USA, and who then informed me that they were getting no response from this hotel. It should not be hard to refund me money that has simplistically been stolen. Do you need to steal from customers Best Western? Do you not keep financial records? Can I have my money back please? You have my email address.

• shawn (10/5): Check sucked everything else was great - The Hotel was in a prime location for salmon fishing Not really the properties fault but booking.coms fault I had the worst check in experience of my life I drove hours to get to my hotel and booking.com refused to give them the virtual card for my check in and I spent almost 3 hours just trying to get in my room the people I talked to from booking.com seemed to not be knowledgeable about anything and instead of helping get me into my room they tried making me relocate and just sat there blaming the hotel when the hotel staff were showing me their computer screens and instead of helping the hotel staff get me in my room the people from booking.com were rude and hung up on them multiple times it was ridiculous I don’t think I will ever use booking.com again because of the bullshit I had to go through

• Deborah (6/5): Not very pleased - The view and jacuzzi I found multiple dirty areas within my room. I pulled out the couch and it looked like the same blankets were used by someone else. There was even a spider on my bed. I asked for connected rooms, online it said yes and when we got there it was a no. She was confused and said I had a king bed and a queen bed which I did not. The parking lot was not plowed at all and it was hard to get in and out of our vehicle with a disabled person. The elevator did not work also which with a disabled person was unacceptable. I waited over 30 minutes to check in. Plus the pool gave my son an allergic reaction because there was so much chlorine.

Seemed a bit overpriced for this time of year.
• dmarieyox (5/5): Hire more people to avoid rooms not being ready until hours after check in time. - The girl at the desk was so nice and sweet even being in the position she was in having to deal with angry customers because they had to sit around and wait for their rooms to be ready hours after check-in time. I felt bad for her since it issue was not her fault and the manager was not there to handle the situation. The room was very nice once we finally got to check in. I did not like that we couldn't check in until around 5pm because our room was not ready. I did not like that the manager was not there to handle the situation. He left one girl at the desk to handle everyone's frustration over not being able to get into their rooms. He should have been there. Customers should have been offered something as an apeasement (discount, or something) to show that you value your loyal customers. We travel to Oswego multiple times per year and always stay at the Best Western. We didn't even get so much as a sorry for the inconvience. Next time, we may think twice.

• Road418393 (10/5): Great view with awesome amenities and location. - Had a balcony room with a view of the river. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast room was clean and had lots of food out. The maple, cinnamon waffles were a very delicious surprise. Pool was very nice. Had a hot tub, sauna and steam room. Fitness center was the largest we have ever seen in a hotel.
• 5cf5 (4/5): Inconsiderate - Entire row of rooms require quests to walk by open doors to hotel laundry facilities. I would not have guests in my house to do this with my own laundry room. Just shut doors. And, don’t run laundry at 8:45 at night when guests are primarily at hotel to sleep.
• mooref71 (2/5): Worst Western - We arrived at 3:45 pm for a 3pm check-in. The rooms was not ready. The manager went up to inspect the room and came down at 4pm and said it was ready. When we got into the room, the bathroom floor was covered in wet hair, there were dirty towels hanging on the door and there was chewed gum in the sink. There was no toilet paper, no tissues, and no clean towels. There was also no bedding for the pull out couch. This took extra trips and requests to get settled. Then the plumbing in the toilet needed clogging. The guy at the front desk said, "I'll give you a plunger." I don't know how he thinks hotel customer service works, but I've never paid $350 a night for a hotel stay that was so deplorable that I was expected to plug the toilet, myself. Finally, the pull out couch mattress is so thin that I have marks in my skin of the metal chain link fencing it must be lined with. An absolute awful sleep for 2 nights.All of this was relayed to the manager and my " sorry for your troubles" amounted in a $10 credit for a stay at the hotel again. I would NEVER stay here - and I travel to this town at least 6 times a year. You are the Worst Western.

Extremely rude check-in process, The rooms needed updating, and the Rug in the room had stains on it, and the cover for the bed had stains. The breakfast area needs some improvement, very tight space, overpriced for what you get.

Very good value. - My husband and I were met by a very friendly, competent person at the front desk, who allowed us to check in early and gave us all the information we needed to use the hotel. Our king suite was bright and spacious and immaculately clean. The view was gorgeous. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. There was a good sized pool with lap lanes, a hot tub, steam room, and sauna and a full-time attendant. The hotel is within walking distance or a very short drive of the sites we wanted to see in Oswego. We were sorry that we had only planned to stay one night.

We showed her our Booking confirmation. We asked her to look it up a different way. She was rude and kept saying we didn’t reserve anything. Luckily a nice gentleman was also there and he found it right away. The woman gave us a rude look and didn’t even apologize. The property needs updating as there were stains all over the rug and couch. It was also very loud.

When we called they said it was a maintenance issue and had no idea what the problem was or when it would be resolved. So we packed up and checked out ( me with my hair full of shampoo) when asked if we would be compensated for the inconvenience, the clerk offered a late check-out. Nobody bothered to call and inform us of that prior to our departure…..

But we were unimpressed with the spotty carpeting, the windows that were difficult to see through, and the grimy whirlpool tub. We did enjoy sitting on the balcony overlooking the Oswego River and watching the geese fly over at dusk. The brightest spot of our stay was the lovely woman at the front desk who gave us lots of pointers on where to go and where to eat. We especially loved the wide selection of food and drink at the sports bar across the street.

• Letsgosomewherefun (10/5): An Oswego Gem - We had a great 3-day stay here. The location is beautiful, right on the Oswego River, but you could see some of Lake Ontario from our room. There is a walk along the river as well. We selected the larger King with a Kitchenette, which was a good choice because it offered extra room and a sofa bed for relaxing. A balcony room would also be a good choice. There is a sports bar across the street, plus a restaurant on the property and a sub shop at the end of the block. Walking across the bridge to the other "half" of downtown would also be fairly easy. The breakfast was nicely presented and the breakfast staff was quick to replenish. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. The only downside I encountered was the cable TV service. The channel guide on the TV didn't match the channels on the TV. A printed and accurate channel listing would be helpful.

I stayed at the hotel ( and paid) on July 26 and tried twice to cancel the Aug 26 booking. Neither the hotel or Expedia responded I will limit my use of Expedia in the future.

Dirty carpet lots of stains. Dusty tabels. Just not impressed with the hotel.

• RRCLA (8/5): Good place to stay in Oswego - Probably the best location in Oswego overlooking the river, walking distance to the promenade along the river, choices of restaurants although the one at the hotel is very good. The staff is friendly, and the rooms are comfortable with basic amenities in the bathroom. The breakfast has a wide range of choices and coffee is provided in the lounge area all throughout the day and night. If in Oswego for business, leisure, family get together this is the best hotel.

The wall Paper was coming off a few parts of the walls and they were not accommodating at all with early or late check outs but it was a busy weekend.

I believe they all have a view of the river, and the breakfast bar was substantial. It's also an easy walk to downtown Oswego. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience.

The coffee was always hot and plentiful. It was easy to adjust the temperature in our room. We stayed 2 nights and did not have any room attendants come by. There were no fresh towels or beds freshened. Thankfully I travel with my own shampoo, conditioner and lotion. It was gone the first morning with 2 people in the room.
