• Jennifer (5/5): Staff is 10/10! unfortunately would only stay here if I have no better options due to Hardly any sleep - Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Too close to the freeway, not enough insulation in the walls. Hard to sleep sounds like the freeway is on the side of your bed. I got the last room in the far corner, which has a bright security light directly outside the door with even closing the role, shade and the shutters. There was still so much light in my room.
• Victoria (3/5): Disappointed - Freezer worked good The beds are terribly uncomfortable, there was hair in the potatoes at breakfast, when I mentioned it to staff , she said- thats the unfortunate thing about eating buffet style. I mentioned to her maybe she could put out some fresh potatoes and she just walked away and didn't care if the other guest were eating the potatoes with hair in them, they don't sweep the floors everyday like they say they do, dirty rooms, it just wasn't worth the price and a disappointment, I've stayed there a few times before with friends and I thought going on my own this time would be better but this was the worst stay , I just can't go back, the beds are terrible! And honestly the breakfast is yucky 🤮 and disappointing the food is so cheap not appealing at all, also the lighting is terribly, all I can say is good luck to anyone who stays at this certain B.Wrtn

• Smith-Wallace (10/5): Easily the Nicest Hotel in Merced - The rooms are immaculate and really comfortable. The staff are friendly and always consistently available, regardless of the time. The breakfast 🥞🍳 is always hot with every kind of option imaginable. This is easily one of the nicest hotels in Merced and whenever I need a room in Merced I book here.

The second feont person was a lot nicer and eventually they switched us to a decent room. We had to check two upstairs rooms since they had termites. Eventually they put us on a bottom floor. Initially yhey tild us that there were no rooms on the bottom.

• Hicks III (10/5): I will recommend this spot - I manage a band and needed multiple rooms. I had to cancel one room on short notice and the staff on duty worked it out for me. She made checking in very smooth. I read comments and ratings before booking, regarding freeway noise and AC noise, but it didn't bother me at all.

The noise from the Freeway and the train line is constant and very intrusive. Could do with additional blankets for comfort (and environmental considerations) rather than relying on use of electric heater.

Coffee pot was so high on shelf, couldn’t get to it. Several loud noises outside at night. I think it may have been the back of property.

Air conditioner was also very loud and enough to drowned out traffic and train noise. Room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was good. Front desk was super friendly and easy check in.

There is a complimentary breakfast which offered a nice selection of both hot and cold food. The only 'negative' is the freeway noise. I am a light sleeper, so if I woke up, even in middle of the night you can hear those truckers.

• Dorothy (10/5): - I love that Best Western serves breakfast. A full breakfast, not just juice and toast. There is always protein, usually eggs and sausage, plus all the standard breakfast options (pancakes, cereal, yogurt, fruit). There is comfy space in which to eat. A real bonus! Saves having to spend time finding a place, getting there and paying for it. Thanks Best Western!
