We’ve achieved that status by being loyal to the brand. I guess some properties don’t appreciate that. Remember we continue to give our loyalty even when it’s a slow season . She called the manager to the desk and he looked at it and rejected it. He said I'd only get a room by paying about double the fee on my registration. That would have paid him 3X the advertised amount. I left.

• Seaside16650546422 (2/5): Here is the gist of our stay: Avoid this place like the plague! - Room smelled so bad like old smoke. Breakfast crappy. Room furniture and bathroom old looking. TV too small. Exercise room equipment broken with 2 old garbage dumbells, garbage.
• Elizabeth (4/5): - It was a safe place to sleep, however the room was not clean. Sure, the sheets and bedding were changed, but the room itself was dirty. The air conditioner had a bad smell, baseboards and food were gross, and the bathroom still had hairs in it and the toilet wasn’t clean. I had to wipe down all surfaces myself and the cloth was so dirty after. The properly seems worn down and could use some renovating. There were also some gnats and spiders in the room, but no bedbugs, so that’s a plus. The noise level was good, and the area seemed safe. I don’t think I would stay again because of the cleanliness, I felt like I couldn’t fully relax.

• James (2/5): Terrible. Pool to cold to swim, Staff were rude, and the room smelled terrible - Roof over my head, shower pressure and hot water. Staff was very rude. Also very misleading. As I walked in the hotel lobby a lady by the name Bhravna was sitting down, and seemed upset she had to get up. I told her I would like a bigger room and asked about the king with kitchen vs the King w whirlpool in room. She has a very thick accent and was difficult to understand. I felt mislead, and would of preferred the open area King w Whirlpool jacuzzi tub. When i wanted to switch it. She became extremely rude and was not helpful whatsoever I call booking.com and the gentleman on the phone spoke clear English and was doing everything he could to help me resolve this situation. There was a $10 price difference which i agreed to pay. However this front desk lady was not budging at all. There was another women there briefly which i did not get her name. I checked in around 1am 09/26/2025 to 09/27/2025 I checked out on time and still have not received my deposit. Also the indoor pool is 4ft all around and not ideal for children. Not to mention it was extremely cold.

The carpet was filthy half of the lights worked one of the lights work take that back. We talked to the owner and he said he did not have bedbugs, but the previous owners might have well if they did he should’ve switched out all of the beds. It smelled in the rooms. I had to light candles and put air freshener and disinfecting on everything.

Room 215, where we were placed, was in a terrible state: the door to the wardrobe was completely broken, the curtains were torn off, there was dust everywhere, and the bathroom was dirty. We returned to the reception, and they changed our room 207. But after the manager's hysterics, who tried to prove that the wardrobe could be fixed, the dust was blown off it and the curtain was rehung. Why this was not done before the guests checked in is unknown. In addition, as we already saw in the lobby, the manager simply yelled at an elderly man who had questions about an error in the bill. With shouts and rudeness, they gave us another room 207, in which most of the furniture was broken: a table, a chair, and the door to the bathroom did not close at all. We smiled because we did not want to listen to emotional squabbles and raised voices from the manager. In the morning, we noticed that the hotel had charged the payment twice from two different cards. The reason for this was some kind of system failure: the payment terminal showed a successful payment, but for some reason the staff asked to make a repeat payment with a different card. We showed the staff two receipts for the payment and the debiting of funds from our accounts. The manager came running again and instead of apologizing and solving the problem, he immediately started yelling at us. He also started waving his hands in front of our faces, behaved extremely aggressively, yelled at us and provoked a fight, despite the fact that we asked him to calm down and fulfill his obligations to clients. We were forced to call the police, and only after their arrival did the manager start to behave calmly. But the problem remains: two funds were debited from two of our cards. We demand an apology from the manager for his behavior. We demand an immediate refund.

• Russell (8/5): Very good - Great location, nice room. Staff was very friendly and we enjoyed our stay. We would go back again if the construction wasn't so bad in this direction Breakfast wasn't great, but we ate out at a nice restaurant not far from the hotel. I never really care for continental. The construction north of the hotel was so bad we went a different direction the next time. It added 2 hours to our drive. We Avoided any city areas on way home..

• Melissa (10/5): - I was so tired when I got here, so I appreciated the fast check in. I took a shower, watched a little TV and fell straight to sleep. The hotel is a little outdated and a bit pricey. The breakfast area was not packed and they had plenty of food. I will definitely stay here again.

The cleanup crew and nighttime front desk personnel were not though. House keeping actually came into our room before check out and with the DND sign on the door knob. My daughter was using the toilet with the bathroom door open when they entered. Luckily my wife was a couple of feet from the door and was able to stop them from fully entering and seeing my daughter in disposed.

Room was neat but not clean, TV remote didn't work, curtains stained bad, blow dryer barley hanging on the wall and it got so hot I dropped it. I've been coming here for years - and hope to be able to use this as a home base in Pontiac for the future. Stopped booking direct as the room prices are all over the place - after staying somewhere 25 years I understand local economy but I feel room values for Pontiac are getting excessive. I am volunteering in town. Maybe the hotel should have a stable rate for frequent volunteers with proof of the time you are donating. Having to book with vendors instead of going direct. Pricing is all over the place.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Disappointed - The photos are very misleading and the room barely had walking space. The Jacuzzi was also not a hot tub in the room, but just a jetted bathtub with the shower. For one person, and had body hair in it. There were holes in the sheets as well.

• Katelyn (7/5): It was a very pleasant stay - The hotel had close proximity to whatever we wanted to do. The pictures show a hot tub but the hot tub has been taken up and the hole sealed up. The pictures need to be updated. Also, the staff was super friendly but when I signed the paperwork they acted like it wasn’t important and I didn’t really need all the information they were asking for.

• Katherine (5/5): Bare minimum. Nothing fancy. - We checked in as a couple of basketball teams were checking out and all was chaos. It got straightened out by the nice lady at the desk. This motel has seen better days. It's just old. The hallways stink like crazy with a smell I couldn't identify? A bad cleaning product? Something. But it knocks you down when you walk in. It was only in the hall and not in the rooms, so that wasn't a deal breaker.
