Guest Reviews
- Olaf (2/5): Worst value for the price. - Walking distance to town and beach. This hotel has no charm and is in need of renovation. Hideous pool area, very noisy right next to main through street, no utensils whatsoever in the kitchen of the studio apartment, so the whole space is completely useless. AC did not work, which seemed to be a common problem.

- Warren (9/5): Comfortable, convenient stay - Convenient location to break a long drive, with comfortable rooms and excellent breakfast. Bulb on nightstand on door side didn’t work.
- Warren (8/5): Comfortable convenient stop with good breakfast - Excellent location, quiet and clean. Walking barefoot on the carpet didn’t leave dirt on our feet.
Breakfast was excellent with good attention from staff. Charge plugs seemed loose.
- Suanne (8/5): Clean and comfortable. - It was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly, they served breakfast. Breakfast ends at 8:30

- Elizabeth (8/5): Best Place to Stay in all of Mendota! - The Best Western Apricot Inn is the best place to stay in Mendota. This is the closest hotel to the Mendota Wildlife Area, known for its duck hunting. Mendota is a small town, that most people seem to be driving through to grab gas or a quick bite to eat before jumping back on the 5 freeway. If you find yourself tired and wanting to spend the night, this is the place I would pick. It was quite and had all the necessities to be able to take a rest and prepare for the following day. The rooms were very clean. The bathroom was stocked and the entire motel was well taken care of. The continental breakfast in the morning was fresh. and the customer service here was by far the best. The front desk was welcoming and even the lady cleaning the continental breakfast area made us feel at home and told us to take our time to enjoy breakfast. If I could change a few minor things, the king size bed only had (2) small queen pillows. Just such small pillows for the bed-just a weird thing. Also the water pressure could have been better, but the temperature was perfect! Lastly, there is not Jacuzzi. But I don't know if I would brave the cold (it was in the 30s thanksgiving weekend) to hit the jacuzzi during this time of year.
- Ian (7/5): -
- Blanca (9/5): - La habitación estaba bien, era cómoda y tenían un desayuno con bastante variedad y rico No había ascensor, pero solo había que subir una planta
- Bethany (10/5): - I loved it all The breakfast needs more options
- John (9/5): -
- Becky (4/5): Just ok - The bed was comfortable and the night desk person was friendly We checked in to a room that had a dirty rag on the desk and a filthy bath tub. The bathroom floor was also dirty. It looked like someone did maintenance in the shower and they forgot to clean up afterwards.
- Claude (9/5): - Smiling and helpful staff, clean room, VERY good water pressure in the shower, good mattress, very good breakfast.
- Iva (5/5): - Clean and big room Some basics were missing - there was no hot water for the second shower and there was no shampoo in the dispenser. Toilet didnt work properly
- Quinonez (6/5): -
- Leslie (10/5): -
- Wild (8/5): -
- Aaron (10/5): - Great place to stay off of I-5. Nice selection of dining options and 3 gas stations within a stones throw. Excellent breakfast offered at the hotel. Will definitely be returning.
- David (10/5): - Beds comfortable. Room clean . Only complaint is lack of adequate window curtains for privacy and to block the excess light coming into room ALL night.
- Mehmet (1/5): Very bad and a smelly hotel - There was nothing to like except its location This was a terrible hotel, with disrespectful and sullen staff. The rooms smelled terrible. Don't stay at this hotel even if you have to. It's a waste of your money.
- Robert (7/5): Ask for a room with quiet, effective air conditioning - Perfectly adequate place for a rest stop on a long road trip. Breakfast nothing to write home about, but adequate. My room had excellent, quiet air conditioner – my friend's next door was noisy and ineffective. I'm content, though my friend who stayed next door was less so.
- Alain (7/5): -
- Heather (8/5): Solid motel - The room was clean, if a little worn. I could hear the highway from mine, but it was a nice white noise that I didn’t mind.
- Debora (8/5): - What happened to comfortable beds in hotel rooms 😞
- Aaron (10/5): - The Best Western Apricot was a pleasant surprise! Sharon at the front desk greeting me with a warm smile and Carmen who did the breakfast buffet checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was great. The area has a variety of food options - convenience stores, fast food (with healthy options) and gas stations within a stone's throw. The rooms were well appointed an spacious. I really appreciated that we could have our dogs with us. We will definitely stay at this Best Western again.
- Vicky (10/5): - Staff was friendly and efficient.
- Amy (10/5): Great stay as always! - Wonderful as always. Room 109 seemed to have some issues with the a/c needing to be reset multiple times. And the mattresses were a bit harder than usual. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.
- Sergio Daniel (8/5): -
- Jad (8/5): -
- Anne (10/5): Good stay - We enjoyed our stay at this Best Western. The room was comfortable, perfect parking space outside our room. Breakfast was good, many options.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Great service!
- Jessica (8/5): -
- Michelle (6/5): - Friendly staff, rooms a bit run down, isolated area with limited dining.
- Karen (10/5): - Nice room, nice staff, nice breakfast, nice location.
- Cynthia (4/5): - When I first got there my room didn’t have a fridge nor was the phone connected. Switched rooms and the rooms fridge didn’t work very annoying given I have a one year old I couldn’t keep his milk nor food cool.
- donald (8/5): Uneventful nice place to stay for the night - the breakfast was great. good food and a lot of choices.
- Donna (7/5): - Convenient location from the highway. Felt like a safe place to stop. Room was clean. Nice breakfast laid out and good selection. Bed was hard and not very comfortable. Rooms due for a refresh

- Cynthia (10/5): - Very nice and clean and friendly
- Stephen (10/5): - The free breakfast is absolutely amazing
- Koko (7/5): Good -
- timothy (8/5): - Overall this is a great property.
This is the second time I stayed here. Nice clean, well maintained, comfortable. I would stay here again.
Breakfast was the only issue. It was not edible.
I would not feed my dog who eats anything that breakfast. McDonald's is next door, go there.
I bring my on cereal for times like this. But the milk was sitting out in a pitcher which is a recipe for a bathroom emergency mid afternoon.
- Daniel (10/5): - Great place
- Emma (8/5): Satisfied. - Exactly what you’d expect. Pool could have been warmer though. Breakfast was nice.
- Bernard (10/5): - Perfect comfort
- David (8/5): - Loved the gas station options and food option. Did not have to leave.

- RAMONA (10/5): - Better beds in my opinion
- Amy (10/5): Great overnight stay! - My partner and I had another lovely stay. We do wish the beds were a little more comfortable, and that there were some slightly better dining options in the little area, but we always make it work. 🙂
- Brian (7/5): Good -
- Avendaño (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lance (6/5): - All the rules are ground level and they obviously don’t do pest control.
- Nataraj (8/5): Very good -
- Jorge (9/5): Superb -
- Israel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cristina (10/5): Staff was friendly and got me extra towels immediately - Clean Location
- Mark (6/5): Great but noisy - Stayed here for work. It's a nice little roadside hotel that provides lots of great amenities, but I really struggled with the noise outside my room.
Folks were out late at night chatting loudly in the parking lot, the pool, or running truck engines for hours at a time throughout the night. I'm very sensitive to this kinda thing and I'll admit, it might bother me more than most.
On all other accounts, this place is great, especially for the price.
- Juana (10/5): - Clean place
- Karen (8/5): - Good parking, close to room.
- Georgiy (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (8/5): - Overall great stay! The noise of neighbours can get annoying at times but the hotel itself and the staff were all excellent
- mariabG9125CF (2/5): Bad experience - Terrible, the curtains, are see thru, too much light goes in during the night, the beds make too much cracking noise, the bedspread are too thin, they look like curtains. Even though we got the 2 queen bed, we only use one bed, and use the other bedspread to cover ourselves, and still we were cold.
- Dianne (10/5): - they were very helpful
- Yolanda (10/5): - Clean and had everything we needed for a nights stay.
- Barbara (8/5): Pet - Too much money for having my cat!
- Barnie (2/5): Don't stay in room 105 - They put me in room 105 which has a smoking area right out side the door and people were smoking and talking all night long. The smoke came through the air conditioner/heater unit, which stunk up the room. When I complained the front desk just said, sorry.
- Joseph (8/5): - We have stayed here several times, and would definitely do so again.
- Pat (10/5): - Quick check in. Very clean
- Maureen (6/5): Pleasant - Breakfast was absolutely dreadful.
- Philip (8/5): Very good -
- Nahoko (10/5): - The receptionist was welcoming and professional. The room was clean.
- Joseph (10/5): Perfect for our family of 4 - Needed a place for the night to break up our Southern to Northern California trip. It was important to find a place that had a breakfast as we have 2 kids with us. We arrived at 11pm. Check in was super easy. Rooms must've been newly renovated and upgraded which was awesome so it was very clean. It was cold and the heater worked prefect. We slept well. The breakfast was a full spread! Something for everyone. Would definitely recommend and stay again if we had to.
- Susan (7/5): Good -
- Stan (8/5): - Just a quick stop on our drive home. Check in was fine. Took longer than I thought it should.
Rooms are clean. Property is well used and could use some updating. Construction going on. Parking wasn’t easy.
- Jose (10/5): - It was only one night sgay but it wa a comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.

- Loi (10/5): - The breakfast was great! They had a waffle machine. I stayed at another after this hotel and as fancy in the lobby but was they didn’t have a waffle station. The food was great. Yogurt is great for my son.
- Christoper (10/5): Clean, quite, convenient stay - Convenient location Nothing
- Kimberly (6/5): Pleasant -
- Bayani (10/5): - Perfect place to stay fast food right across the street Tesla supercharger and Electrify America right across the street as well. Super friendly staff love it.
- Mitzi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carol (10/5): Exceptional - Great location off of freeway. Comfortable bed. Parked right in front of the room. Good breakfast.
- Blake (2/5): Bedbugs in Room 219 - Warning! - I'm a business traveler who has stayed in hundreds of Best Western properties over the years with overall great experiences.
So I was disheartened to wake up at 3am on the first night of my stay (after having checked the sheets before going to bed) to find bed bugs biting and crawling on me. I left my belongings in the room to avoid spreading bedbugs back to my home.
The hotel manager and night clerk refunded my stay, but neither they nor Best Western Corporate were interested in compensating me for my clothes (which they offered to wash, although I was not willing to take that risk) or luggage (which I also had to throw away).
I have had scarring from the bites (I'm allergic to most bug bites), so I wanted to warn others to be extra careful if you're planning to stay at this location.
- Kenny (10/5): - Excellence
- Arsalan (2/5): - We didn’t even stay in our room for a minute, just left
