Guest Reviews

- Susan (8/5): welcoming front desk staff, quick check in and lovely views makes this mid price hotel a great spot - Very good. I'm a non meat eater and the server cooked a lovely bit of vegetables for me. weak wifi in some rooms,
- 800mjg (8/5): Great stay inside. Sketchy feel outside. Outstanding breakfast and clean rooms. - I stay in hotels 50–60 nights a year for work, so I’ve seen the full spectrum — and this Best Western lands somewhere in the middle, with a few standout highs and a few lows worth noting.
The biggest issue is the entry and exterior experience. The main access point for luggage is essentially a back door with a ramp, and the parking lot is not well lit, and the hotel in general has an unclear entry path. The exterior at the back door feels obstructed by shrubs and cedars, parking isn’t ideal for unloading luggage, and the walk to the lobby is through a desolate hallway that doesn’t feel welcoming. As a woman who often travels alone, I would not choose this location for a solo night arrival. I travelled with my partner this time, so I felt fine, but the overall setup and lighting do not give a strong sense of safety.
Once inside, things improve significantly. The rooms were clean, well‑kept, and comfortable, and the front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. We asked for a quiet room and they put us on top floor far from elevator and it was much appreciated.
But the real star of this hotel is the breakfast. Truly the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. There’s a live omelet station, a waffle maker with berries and whipped cream, delicious sausages, and genuinely great coffee. The breakfast staff were exceptional- warm, welcoming, and clearly proud of what they do. Holy cow, they know how to feed you.
Overall, this hotel isn’t the best or the worst I’ve stayed in, but the breakfast alone elevates the experience in a big way. If you’re arriving during daylight or travelling with someone, it’s a solid stay. If you’re a solo female traveller arriving late at night, the exterior setup may not feel ideal.
- Susan (8/5): Another nice evening in a safe, clean hotel - Friendly staff, fabulous mountain views, quiet and clean Weak wifi in our room

- Koppen-Pavlovich (10/5): Staff were really helpful - Clean and tidy. Plenty of parking
- Duncan (9/5): -
- calvin (6/5): tv is a game changer - location , staff and price well as a sports wat her and sitcom ; the cable provider will probably make my choice for me next time
- Lisa (9/5): -
- Alexander (9/5): - Very clean
- Susan (8/5): -
- joannie (1/5): - Still didnt refund for deposit for my 1 night stay Staff were overly creepy
- Jennifer (6/5): I probably wouldn’t stay here again. The breakfast was the only redeeming quality. - The breakfast that came included with the room was actually pretty good! They had some hot breakfast items and an omelette station in addition to your typical continental breakfast, which was greatly appreciated. Our room wasn’t the cleanest, smelt like an old smoking room, and the AC was quite loud. The shower wall had hair stuck to it and a used bar of soap that wasn’t thrown away.
- Dara (9/5): Decent little hotel - Good location for a morning jaunt to the little stores nearby. Staff were decent, and the location was easy to get in and out on Highway 16. Timmies was a blockish away and the same with a grocery store. Parking lot is tight with angled parking and not very big. Bigger vehicles may have to park on the street or maybe an alley. Rooms had different sizes. We had to get 2 rooms because we were one adult, 2 teenagers and 2 toddlers - one room was really tight with not a whole lot of walking space in front of the beds and the other room had way more space 🤷♀️
- Morgan (9/5): - The jacuzzi tub was Devine!
- stephen (9/5): -
- Susan (9/5): Great friendly hotel , good value - Nice clean comfortable room, secure parking
good price
The front desk was very helpful- helped us to figure out our TV twice!!
- colingZ4470RB (2/5): Privacy Violated and Terrible Service - I stay 100+ nights a year in hotels, and this was by far my worst experience. My “Do Not Disturb” sign was ignored—housekeeping entered my room while I was out, half-cleaned it, and I had to have my key card reprogrammed. Front desk promised a supervisor would call; no one ever did.
The hotel was dirty, staff disorganized, and management tried to blame me afterward. I felt my privacy was completely violated. I will never stay here again.
- Shareen (8/5): -
- Sheena (7/5): Good price, good breakfast and location - The lady at the front desk brightened my day
- calvin (7/5): - price and location and staff..room good their new cable programs have no regional sports . might make my next room in terrace a different location
- Dan Gonu Sr (10/5): -
- Fowler (10/5): Everything was great! - Breakfasts were great, we both enjoyed them. So nice to have something right there.
- Raechelle (8/5): Comfortable , Clean , Affordable and relaxing! - I liked the location , cleanliness , price . The breakfast was great! Nothing to complain about . I was happy with all amenities.

- Cliff (5/5): - Didn’t like having to secure the room with a deposit… which I still haven’t been reimbursed for?????
- Rüdiger Bock (10/5): -
- Cliff (4/5): - Didn’t have breakfast, not compensated
- Wilbur (10/5): - Everything, the room, was clean, the beds weren't queen but were comfortable and quiet. The staff was courteous and friendly. I booked through booking.com, I was positive on my booking but was told I was wrong. I didn't ask about a senior's discount. Next time, I'll research rates more, and I was shocked I had to put up a damage deposit . Usually, they just take my credit card number .
- Sproule (10/5): Terrific place to stay. - Comfortable, clean, delicious omelette for breakfast and friendly staff.
- Anil (10/5): - Excellent breakfast. Super staff, especially Mansi !! Thank you for making my stay so comfortable!
- Alistair (10/5): - Carol makes the best delicious omelets as part of the buffet breakfast
- Philip (10/5): - All good breakfast good variety
- Julius (8/5): Overall, it was a great stay. just to fix jamming doors - awesome. very good The doors were very loud/ noisy when you lock or jam them. A slow lock is recommended for each door to avoid jamming or banging
- Guy (10/5): - Very friendly and helpful staff at the hotel. Very convenient for several restaurants in the close vicinity.
- John (6/5): - I have been coming to the hotel for many years. It is an OK hotel. Staff are fantastic but the rooms really need an update. The building and roms smells like smoke; old carpets, old mattresses, older furniture, older HVAC. Nice to have the restaurant on site. Will return but hope there is an update soon by corporate.
- Lorraine (10/5): - Breakfast, quiet room Queen bed in RM 456
It dips in the middle so we rolled towards it.
- Donna (10/5): - The breakfast was very good variety with lots of variety
The bed was very comfortable
- Alain (10/5): - Très proche de la gare, facile d’accès à pied.
- Malcolm (5/5): Basic hotel, it's just a little tired, but still clean. - Clean, friendly staff. Basic, this hotel is tired. But bed was comfy.
- Nadine (8/5): -
- John (4/5): - An old hotel that had a facelift but still looks tatty and a bit dirty and gives off low key skid vibes. Staff are friendly and helpful.
- Rudolf (6/5): - The EXTREME noise from the roof sounded like a diesel truck at high rpm.
I booked with expedia(the last time ever) so I got a lousy room on the 5th floor under the noisy motor. At midnite I couldn't stand it/or sleep so I came down to reception and got another room on the 2nd floor.
- John (10/5): - Real good place with good people running it.
- Marianne (8/5): -
- Norman (8/5): - It’s ok, the room is dated.
- Joseph (4/5): - Disappointed in the property - toilet was broken and had to use garbage can to pour water from the bathtub into the toilet tank to flush. Front desk did not help despite telling them about the issue, asked for new room and they denied the request. Overall the hotel is in poor shape and needs a complete renovation and overhaul of all the common areas as well as the rooms. Would not recommend.
- Hubert (10/5): - The breakfast was amazing and very friendly staff
- John (10/5): - Nice place!
- Patrick (10/5): - Just the homeless population. Not the hotels fault. City problem. Great hotel and staff overall. Amazing people who work there and they are very accommodating.
- Hanne (10/5): - Great location. Away from the shopping plazas and Hwy 16, so very quiet. Easy patking. Delicious buffet breakfast including made to order omlette.
- SangHon (8/5): - Aisle smell is bad
- Monica (10/5): -
- Wei Ming (10/5): - Staff are helpful and friendly.
- Erin (10/5): - The hotel had a clean room with good aircon, waffles for breakfast and the front desk was helpful in securing a cab.
- Margret (8/5): - *
- Peter (10/5): Old but Good - Older hotel but clean and great breakfast
- Shawn Washington (10/5): - Lovely stay
- Anthony (10/5): - The staff were great Restaurant for breakfast opened at 6:30. There was a lady making omelets to order. Once cooked, she brought it to my table.
- Margaret (8/5): A place to stay - The pub
- Dale (8/5): - The f
- Patrick (10/5): -
- Michelle (8/5): - Ok for a night or two. Lady at the front desk was very nice, rooms were clean but the hotels just outdated
- Pescado65 (8/5): -
- Matthew (6/5): - An older hotel in Terrace, this Best Western provides a simple, basic stay that's just fine, but not memorable.
The rooms are not large, but they are functional. The building itself, though, is quite old and therefore little things like a squeaky bathroom fan, loud HVAC blowers, and shower cutoffs that are stubborn and difficult to operate serve as reminders it's not a very new hotel. The hot water temperature tends to often fluctuate for brief moments while using the shower as well.
The restaurant/lounge on site is quite nice, but has a very limited menu and limited hours. It's a missed opportunity. It could be a very vibrant part of the hotel with a bit of effort.
The breakfast is quite good and includes an omelette station, although after several days of the same sausages I would have really appreciated some bacon.
Good Wi-Fi and USB charging in the rooms was a plus.
I was there for 11 days, and so the fact that the hotel did not actually have a guest laundry service, but rather only had coin-operated self-serve machines was a big disappointment.
I am in Terrace several times a year on business, and I generally stay elsewhere, but it was a busy week and this was all that was available. I knew what I was getting when I booked and so I was not overly disappointed, just underwhelmed.
- Peter (10/5): - Properly clean but a bit tired. Shower excellent. Bed comfortable. Excellent breakfasts.
- Eric (8/5): -
- Valerie (10/5): - Great stay & awesome breakfast!
- Megan (9/5): - Great breakfast.
- Linda (10/5): - Our room & bed were very clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was great. Omelets were made to order and the fresh, homemade muffins were delicious. The Manager, receptionist and Carol, the cook, were exceptional. Would stay again and recommend this hotel very highly.
- Davison Stephen H (10/5): - Great staff and easy checkin. Would definitely come back again
- Kevin (6/5): - Restaurant was excellent.
Room did not have an adjustable thermostat that worked. Room was stifling hot.
- Anthonie (2/5): - Same old smelly and outdated rooms from like late 80,s
Hallways reak and hot
Ac in rooms barely function
Breakfast staff never showed up and seemed like they did not actually want to provide food at hotel
We waited like 15 xtra mins and had to go out and buy brekfest
Just seems like owners are super cheap!
Go down the road to comfort or anywhere else modern, do jot waste time or money here
- Edi (8/5): - The breakfast was really good and the staff were great! Omelette Bar made to custom was a pleasant surprise, even though decor is dated it was clean and well run. We would stay again if we are in Terrace. We enjoyed our stay. Can’t say much about the area as Terrace is still going through a slow transition. But BWH is trying here.
- Terry-Lynn (8/5): - Staff very friendly and helpful. Bed was super comfortable!
- Albert (6/5): Pleasant -
- Cdn_traveller59 (10/5): The best breakfast! - This was the best breakfast I've had at a Best Western - besides all the expected hot and cold selections, including French toast, there was a station for custom made omelets. Another bonus was the use of real dishes and cutlery. No paper plates or disposable cutlery here! The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. This was more in an industrial area, however, there were some food and a beverage options (which we didn't visit) within walking distance.
- Lois (10/5): Exceptional - This was the best breakfast I've had at a Best Western - besides all the expected hot and cold selections, including French toast, there was a station for custom made omelets. Another bonus was the use of real dishes and cutlery. No paper plates or disposable cutlery here! The room was spacious and clean. This was more in an industrial area than in downtown. However, there were some food and a beverage options (which we didn't visit) within walking distance. Not quite enough on-site surface parking for the guests at times.
- Linda (10/5): - Delicious quiche cooked fresh with your voice of filling
- Andy (8/5): - Great breakfast!! Omelets!
- Dave (10/5): - Good place to syay
- Michelle (8/5): - Staff were very friendly. Hotel was clean, a little dated.
Breakfast was as great with an omelette bar.
Was happy with our stay.
Pool table is located in the lounge where only adults are allowed
- Carol (10/5): - Bed and pillows were great. Liked that the window could open to get fresh air.
- clifford (8/5): - Shower tap was diffi ultto use.
No airport shuttle.
- Gabriela (7/5): Good -
- Nina (10/5): - X
- Parker (8/5): - Having the restaurant in the property was handy
- Joseph (8/5): - It’s was ok , not the greatest best western we have stayed in.
Just couldn’t figure out the very stupid
TV set up
Called the front desk for help was told the guy would be there in a few minutes, never showed up.you should have written instructions for us not to smart older people
- Chris (10/5): - FREINDLY HELPFUL STAFF FROM THE DESK TO CLEANING STAFF STAFF AT THE EXCELLENT RESTAURANT ,,,, ALL
- Kevin (7/5): Good - Location.
- Abra (10/5): Will definitely stay here again! - Breakfast was excellent. Staff was so polite and went above and beyond helping me with luggage. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are very clean No Pool
- MaryC725 (10/5): Very good service and value - We had an unexpected 3-night stay in Terrace due to car trouble but our experience at the Best Western was great. They accommodated us with an early check-in and a bagged breakfast for our very early departure. The property is older and a bit worn looking but rooms very clean and beds, linens, bathrooms all very good. The breakfast was excellent with a make-to-order omelette bar.
- Sheena (7/5): Good location, cheap and clean if you need one night stay. Sinks and tubs do not drain. Reported to front desk, still go - Good location, clean Tub didn’t drain
- Katherine Ann (10/5): - Very friendly staf
- Pamela (10/5): - This historic little hotel in Terrace has its quirks, but the staff are amazing. So kind and attentive. During my week long stay, they didn't hesitate to put me on a higher floor with a nicer view since it was going to be a home-away-from-home for a full week. The complimentary breakfast became a lovely start to my days; someone to make you a bespoke omelette or scrambled eggs with sides and lots of homey touches with fruit yogurts and your choice of breads and spreads with good coffee freshly brewed. Just the right mix of self-serve with someone making you a hot meal if you liked to feel like homey luxury - on the house! The hotel manager always checked-in with me after breakfast to make sure my stay was going well. Clean and well-maintained, courteous staff and management who always solve your problem and greet you with a smile. Highly recommend!
- Katherine Ann (10/5): - The staff are awesome & very accommodating to my needs.
- Brian (10/5): - Staff was great, breakfast even included an omelette station.
