- Regina (2/5): - I will NEVER stay at that hotel again, and I will definitely NOT eat anything there! My room was infested with bugs, and the only thing the staff could tell me is that it was harvest season, and on that end of the hotel, the bugs would get into the rooms. I'm not talking about small bugs, these were very large bugs, and I killed 7 of them between 1:15am and 1:45am in the morning. I wanted to leave the hotel, but since it was so late, they offered to moved me to a different room on a different floor. I still was unable to sleep, because I kept replaying the bugs in my head that I had already seen and killed. When the staff came to my room to change me to another room, there was another bug crawling on the wall at that time. I am truly traumatized about staying in hotels after my experience at the Best Western in Flora, Illinois.

The bathroom door looked like something attacked the bottom of it, the sheet on the bed was ripped and I kept getting my foot caught in it, and there was a smell in the room and a damprid bag hanging. Cobwebs in bathroom and areas that really needed attention in the bathroom. No one at the front desk often.

- Angela D (10/5): Great hotel!!! - This is the best hotel in the surrounding area. I back tracked just to stay here another night because it was by far the best choice from Flora to Vincennes. The cost is reasonable and the hotel is very clean. The breakfast was superb as well. The staff was awesome and I met and spoke to three different staff members so I'm not saying this just about one person. They really made me feel like a valued guest. Everything in my room worked properly and it was very clean. I could not hear other guests so my stay was restful and peaceful. Thank you BW Flora!
- Michele (8/5): - Location and available parking . The breakfast bar was horrible at best, no selection, no quality, and no creamer for coffee. We normally stay where there is free breakfast, we normally have to leave early and it is very convenient!

- benmX1750WX (2/5): Dirty room - I was in Flora for a funeral for my Aunt. I arrived on Saturday 03/02. I was given room 107. walked into room and i walked right back out. room had dirty socks on table plus empty food boxes. Also had Mcdonalds cup on table by bed with clear liquid in it. Went to front desk to see if someone was still in room. Later i opened refrigerator and it was full of food.Bathroom tub had things all over it from previous person. Room should not have been rented out. Sunday morning they came and cleaned up everything. What i was charged ,That room wasn't worth it. I didn't sleep under covers. How do i know bed was even clean. Didn't even have your breakfast because of how well room wasn't clean. When I checked out on 03/04 I asked for manager. Was told he was not there. Clerk said he would have him contact me. 2 days later I haven't from him or her yet. This kind of rooms and service, I won't be staying here again. Was told room wasn't supposed to have been rented out, yet it was.
- Tan (4/5): - The breakfast was good. Staff was friendly. But the facility seemed old. Bath tub faucet was broken. In such cold weather, the bed did not have a blanket and you have to ask for it. Around midnight some machine’s alarm went off in the next supply room, so noisy.
- Imperia (4/5): - The room I was placed in was dirty as it hadn't been vacuumed, dusty and the tub was filthy full of hair and other gross things. I asked to move and I was moved and then I found out upon checkout that I was up charged because they moved me to a bigger room. Still waiting for the manager to process my requested difference as it wasn't my fault I had to be moved. Good water pressure, hard bed, hard to regulate the temperature because it was either too hot or too cold by 1°. The 2nd room I was placed in hadn't been vacuumed either, and neither was my colleagues room, which was also dirty. They only have one housekeeper from what I was told, and they didn't show up yesterday so I couldn't get a box of Kleenex for my entire stay. Front desk did not have access. The guy at the desk was polite.
- Traveldanse (4/5): Need Some Serious Work and Staffing - You'd think with the reviews they've gotten lately they would have addressed them. However, that is not the case. Toilet size is one you would find in a preschool, the bed is hard as a rock, you can't even get a box of Kleenex, and the place was not clean at all. I had to change rooms because of the filth in the first room I was assigned. I demanded a move to a cleaner room, which was only slightly cleaner. Apparently from the sounds of it, they have one housekeeper and they didn't show up today. So if the entire hotel is incumbent upon one person to clean it, that's just ridiculous and it's no wonder the place is nasty. They need more staffing and they need to make sure they're properly trained including the new guy at the front desk and they need to clean and freshen this place up. The linens look sad and tired and my sheet was ripped in several places. My colleagues had similar issues with their rooms. I'm guessing because they're one of the only couple of hotels in town they can just blow people off because there's not a lot of choice. I expect a lot more from a Best Western! I want a refund!

We were too exhausted from a very long day of travel to complain, change hotels. That being said, the staff was friendly
- K8311AFkimr (2/5): Dirtiest Hotel - This is the dirtiest and falling apart hotel I have ever stayed in. The first room beds, had been slept in and bathroom not cleaned. Moved to a new room and it was worse. I cleaned the bathroom so we could use it. The toilet had poop, blood and hair all over it. Bathroom mirror and faucets were covered in spit and toothpaste. Bathroom floors were filthy. We found a joint in the draw and a full bag of garbage. When we thought it couldn't get worse, I kept feeling a lot of cold air coming from the air conditioner/heater. Turns out there was a large hole/gap. I could look out into the parking lot. It's the only real hotel in the town so we had no choice but to stick it out. Never again!!

The guys at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Kudos to all of the employees. The breakfast was good and hot as well. Everyone there made my stay so much better
- larryhO552WH (2/5): Not a great experience - The initial room assigned was already occupied and we were given another room. This was not the room we had reserved well in advance of our stay. The room smelled like a wet dog and it was quite obvious the carpet and bathroom floor had not been cleaned due to the debris on the floors. The shower had hair on the shower walls and had to be cleaned prior to use. Several police vehicles and an ambulance showed up at the hotel to address an issue with one of the work release prisoners that was staying at the hotel. Loud arguing and barking dogs could be heard at intervals during the morning and night.

Next day when we left we put the -make up room - sign on the door handle. It was still there when we returned that evening and the card didn't work, so we had to get another on to get in our untouched room and go get towels. All this was a totally different experience for me with the impeccably clean Best Western I am used too. I love coffee and, even the coffee was bad and, also the Breakfast was terrible.

- Linda (4/5): - The bathroom had bugs in it when we entered the room and had to call front desk to clean them up. There was no place to charge our cell phones. The cable was horrible, not many choices in channels. The bathroom was a disaster the toilet was broke, the faucet in the tub was coming apart. Was worried about taking a shower in it. Was not something that we wanted to stay in after 8 hours in a car to get there! The only decent thing I can say about the place, the guy that checked us in was so nice and helpful. Too bad rest of staff can't be the same. Housekeeping didn't believe in dusting or a lot of cleaning.

But the first entertainment for us was the next day going to Toledo to see the Toledo Mudhens. Then headed to Detroit to see the Tigers play tomorrow. Then head east from there
- Kayla (6/5): Weekend Stay. - The beds were a little too firm and the pillows too soft so it was difficult to find a comfortable position to sleep. Toilet in the bathroom was older and very small. Air conditioning was nice and cold. The breakfast was fresh and hot and had a good variety.

- SARAH (10/5): Eclipse 2024 - The hotel was sold out for the eclipse. The staff was great, The room was comfortable. We were both able to work in the morning while waiting for the eclipse.

They used to accommodate earlier breakfast for hunters but not this year. Hospitality was worst in all the 20+ years I've stayed prior. Beds slope on sides making it difficult to get proper support and sleep.

People outside motel smoking , made us feel uneasy, several people coming in to go to the motels gaming room as i was trying to check in

- Brittney (6/5): - The staff was very pleasant and the free breakfast was nice and had a decent selection to choose from. The room was spacious but the beds were not super comfortable. My only real complaint was the condition of the bathrooms. Our shower was basically a single stream of water and the fixtures looked like they were barely hanging onto the wall. The bathrooms could definitely use some work. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.
- Mark (4/5): - We will leave the shower head that could not be switched to tub spout and the TV that was not programmed with the remote out of this review, let's talk about the noisy pipes that banged and clanged during our 2 night stay. The desk was told about it the first morning and I was told that management would have to take care it. The desk was told about it again this morning during checkout and we were asked why we didn't say anything about it the first morning. I explained that we had. Then we were asked if we were offered a room switch. We were not. I thought there just might an offer to discount our stay. We were not. But we did get a "sorry about that". We were not the only ones that complained.
- larskV519VZ (2/5): DO NOTE STAY AT BEST WESTERN FLORA INN - Asked for checkin at 2:15 pm and was told they couldn't till 3 pm even though a sign on the checkin desk said checkin could start at 2 pm. The room smelled of smoke, was dirty (old wires/garbage etc). Toilet and Sink was made for kids. Toilet was not mounted right thus kept hitting the wall. Didn't flush properly either. No soap holder in the shower and the shower curtain was falling off the wall. Paint pealing of the walls in numbers places. Brought it to the attention of the staff and they couldn't do anything. Brought it to the attention of Best Western and they couldn't care less either.

- Juliet (4/5): - This property had a 8.7 favorable rating so we booked it. We usually find review ratings reliable. This was not the case. When looking over our room, we found multiple stains and leftover crud of some unknown food item on the couch. The chairs were stained as well. The coffee pot was nasty. The bed sheets appeared that they hadnt been washed. The only positive was the young lady checking us in. The free coffee was watered down. We skipped breakfast figuring the kitchen might have resembled our room. The owners must not care about the customers.
- sarahy446 (8/5): Clean & quiet - Super easy check in & staff was very nice. The room was very clean & bed was comfy. I was also traveling by myself & did feel safe coming in & out & in my room. My only complaint was they do not offer late check outs. Hotel was pretty empty & I only asked for an extra hour & they wouldn’t accommodate. Not a huge deal, but thought I would let others know.

- Leslie (4/5): - Friendly and helpful service by employees. The fly bugs were awful and other guests also complained. The toilet is too close to the wall. Toilet paper hanger was broken. One of the rooms had a terrible shower. Maintenance needs to be looked at and corrected. Carpet should be cleaner. You have to personally request clean towels. Met owner and doesn’t seem to care.

- Jeffrey (6/5): Not impressed - I'm not sure why this hotel gets such great reviews. It is average at best, and overpriced for what it is and the area. Flora is a typical mid west town with little to do. This was a one night stop and we should have chosen a different area to stay. There is nothing outstanding about this hotel or the staff. It wasn't worth the price. Will not stay here again.

- LoriBJM (8/5): A comfortable evening - The Best Western accommodations were comfortable and the service attendants kind and helpful. Since this was really the lone hotel close to the venue at which I was meeting with others, I had some reservations but was pleasantly surprised. The rooms included a fridge and microwave, which was handy. I would offer one suggestion: change the breakfast time from 7:00a to 6:30a. Other than that, I give Best Western a shout out!

- bperez4 (4/5): Needs upgrades! - We've stayed at this hotel many times over many years. It seems to get worse and worse each time. Unfortunately, it's the only hotel in town so we have dealt with it thus far. From now on, we will stay in the next town and make the drive daily so that we feel comfortable with where we are staying. We've dealt with issues such as holes in walls, bugs in beds, tubs that don't drain, tvs that don't work, dirty/dusty rooms, barely fixed problems. None of us feel comfortable enough to sleep here anymore.

- kkelly35k (2/5): Over advertised - This hotel does not clean your room or even give you clean towels even if you stay multiple nights. Do not book the most expensive room advertised with a kitchen. It is only a microwave and refrigerator.

- jhanneken5 (2/5): New Owners, terrible experience! - Room, hall way and stairway smelled like smoke and weed. Breakfast items and coffee urns were empty or had very little left. Had to ask both days of our stay for them to be refilled. TV had poor fuzzy picture. Young girl that cleans the rooms also does the refilling of the breakfast items, with no gloves, while the front desk lady is just sitting there playing on her phone. New ownership and you can tell. Poor quality, poor customer service. Poor ownership!
