edwardoH1403EJ (10/5): Very pleased with our stay - We were so pleased with our stay. It all started with the helpful and friendly front-desk lady. Then, our 2nd floor room was clean, the beds comfortable, a large flat-screen tv, 2 comfortable chairs (1 ergonomic desk chair, 1 'regular' chair), hot water, and a great view of the mountains. We woke up to a great smell: bacon! The breakfast offerings were tasty: scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage-gravy, biscuits, made-to-order mini pancakes, oatmeal with toppings, yogurt, cereal, juice, milk, and coffee. The lady taking care of breakfast was excellent - she was happy and helpful. If we need a place to stay near Ellijay, we will choose this Best Western again!
Dkcombs (10/5): Good price, great staff, comfortable facility. - Travelled for funeral in Elijay. I found the motel to be clean and comfortable. I dealt with at least 3 employees who were all very friendly and helpful I would stay there again if I ever in that area again.

The only downfall was that I was not aware the pool was being redone until I got there… not a huge deal but I would have definitely been upset if it was summer time. Charles (10/5): Amazing views! - We are a married couple who wanted to get away from responsibilities for a brief while to celebrate my husband's birthday! The sky view of this hotel that's posted on Hotels.com looked absolutely stunning so we booked and we did NOT regret it! Friendly atmosphere. Clean facility. Great breakfast options. Amazing view from the front of the hotel! They even have 3 wooden benches for you to sit on and enjoy looking out at everything! The pool and hot tub were closed for renovations, which was disappointing bc they didn't mention that on hotels.com in the description BUT that wasn't enough to keep us from staying again!

But the best part of the stay was the employees. I have never experienced motel employees as happy and helpful as everyone that I dealt with.

There was a sign that said, "Pool temporarily closed", but the wood covering it was rotting and curled up. It had been there for a long time. The pool needs fixing.
Michael (6/5): - The bad: This place needs some work. The pool has been covered with plywood. The scary steep driveway is severely damaged. There is no elevator and the stairs are creaky. The manager's office is a junky storage room. The mattresses are completely worn out. The soda machine is filled with out of date products. The good: The staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. There is a beautiful view of the mountain and valley. For the price I paid, I would have been much happier elsewhere. One more thing. Expedia hits you with a heavy penalty if you decide to cut your trip a day short. The penalty is almost as much as the room.

It is not fancy, but it may be one of the cleaniest, friendliest hotels I've stayed at. Everyone was very helpful. Hot coffee, tea and hot chocolate available around the clock!

We stayed a night to visit and explore the awesome Ellijay area. This Best Western is wonderful with professional, friendly and caring all staff members. The breakfast was delicious and is part of the price of staying here. We will be returning very soon and thank you all staff for making our first time stay here fantastic! We appreciate you all!

caricell1 (8/5): Great Hotel, poor corporate reservations procedure - I've been to this location a number of times, and the service and rooms are very good. Always clean, comfortable, reasonably priced and friendly staff. The only issue I have is with the corporate office handling of my reservation. As I was using point for one free night of my three night stay, they booked it as THREE seperate reservations. The result of this forced me to check in and out of the hotel every day of my stay, and get new keys for the same room every day. Their corporate procedure for booking these stays that include the use of reward points needs to be reviewed and modified to make it less inconvenient for customers.
Robert (10/5): - The only problem i had was i prepaid online. They wanted to hold 110 on my card. We were not told about the hold. I understand it but i wasnt prepared due yo my check being deposited the next day. So they locked our room doors 1 hour after we arrived and had gone to get food. If i had not had a credit card we would have been in a bad situation. It should be told up front. I will look for a different place to stay next time.

If I had a mountain View I would have given it five stars but it did not. I was in the ground level way at the corner surrounded by parking vehicles.

David (10/5): - It is a odd drive up road to the hotel. It is on the mountain and the drive up is narrow and small and does not give much of ease to turn, of which the turn is very sharp.

Very close to retail and restaurants but tucked far enough away from traffic and noise. We usually stay in cabins when we go for several days, but this was great for the night and for a weekend. Very clean and very quiet.
