- Gaby (3/5): Not worth it - I liked the location.. that was it First and foremost the customer service; it’s actually the reason I went next door to their competitor instead of extending my stay… neither of the ladies at the front desk could understand me, and they acted like it was my fault for communicating in English. It took fifteen minutes to get them to understand that I would like to put something in the freezer. After that I avoided asking for anything else. The value for money is just not there. In the time that I stayed at the facility housekeeping did not come once to clean my room. Resulting in me needing to ask for a plunger more then once as the toilet kept on getting clogged and asking for more toilet paper.

I want to thank Miss Erin who accommodated us in the best possible way. After a day on the road with rain all day, being welcomed as she did was a great comfort. Our room was spotless, everything worked perfectly. Comfortable bed. Clean bathroom. The pool and spa area are very well maintained. Breakfast great ans Coffee Machine,with truly espresso. Safe and quiet place. With several shops and a Walmart very close by. We will return.

- Go37380106755 (2/5): Policy over People Zero empathy to help folks in a crisis! - Deeply Disappointed by Management’s Lack of Compassion We’ve owned and operated a small family moving company for 34 years, and on rare occasions, unexpected delays happen. During our most recent trip, our truck broke down on the highway in another city. I called early that morning and also followed up by email to explain the situation and cancel our reservation. Unfortunately, Mrs. Kay Yoo, the manager/owner of this Best Western Plus in Tehachapi refused to cancel or refund the night. My son was traveling with his father, who has a serious brain disease, and despite explaining our situation and pleading for understanding, she showed zero compassion or flexibility. We were charged nearly $200 for a night we physically could not make it to. In all our years of travel and partnership with Best Western, we have never been treated this way, other locations have always shown empathy and worked with us in similar circumstances. I will NEVER stay here again, and I cannot in good conscience recommend this property as long as it is managed by someone who seems to care more about policy than people.

The breakfast area is small and far below anything seen in many tens of hotel stays. Food and coffee runs out early and is only replaced by tracking down rare staff. The location is near perfect, but we will avoid this place in the future

Colazione buona e abbondante, waffle disponibili. Piscina aperta fino alle 10pm con Jacuzzi calda e vasca normale, dopo un lungo viaggio ottima cosa. Direi 10/10 per chi va dalla death valley al sequoia o verso L.A. unicamente il condizionatore molto rumoroso (che però pare uno standard in tutta l'america), risolto spegnendo e dormendo lo stesso sopra le lenzuola.

Of course the stay was non refundable and I was told to go down the street to another hotel (also owned by Best Western) so that my emotional support dog could accompany me.

Just say breakfast is NOT INCLUDED. The room was spacious and clean, parking aplenty.

- Verified traveler (2/5): No room at the inn, even though we prepaid - My family and I arrived at 10pm after a wedding and I was checked in to a room that had not been made up from the previous occupants. Bed was unmade, trash everywhere, money on the tv stand.. We walked back to the front desk and told the girl at the counter that the room was unmade and she went to see for herself. After about 10 minutes, she came back and didnt think to tell us what the solution she was working on.. After a few more moments, I had to walk over and ask her what the plan for our room was. She informed me that there were no more available rooms and that her manager was calling all over town to find us something. We were then told to drive to the outskirts of town to stay at a place that had a room available. We got to the other place and it was not the same quality or as safe as the hotel we reserved. We got checked in and we got a room that we had to rearrange the furniture to access the pull out couch for my son. There were nail holes and unfinished repairs on the walls. I'm guessing this was the room this hotel didnt use since it wasnt presentable for guests. We were pretty dissappointed all the way around that we weren't able to stay in the same location with our other family members and the hassel of the whole situation.
- Melody (5/5): Affordable spot, mediocre hotel - Convenient location, rooms were clean. Coffee machine in the lobby was great and the eggs at breakfast were good. Pool and hot tub were pretty cloudy, no waffle batter for breakfast. The AC in the room smelled weird, almost like stale smoke.

- Elizabeth (6/5): A bit disappointed - Breakfast was good (the usual eggs, meat, cereal, and waffles; the room was rather large and quiet, and the staff was friendly. I liked that I could open my window at night to let in the cool air rather than running the AC. The pool didn't open until 10 am, and the gym was closed for renovation, so I couldn't exercise in the morning. This wasn't communicated to me when I made the reservation or prior to my arrival. Also, I arrived at 1:30 pm hoping I could get into my room to take a call, but the room wasn't ready til 3 pm.

- Voyager33389078458 (2/5): Good Bye Best Western.. - Mean ugly controlling Chinese Woman yelled at my 9 year old granddaughter. Over her total control of a waffle maket. Brings out enough batter for one waffle at a time and then chooses to stand there and make it for you.. Total freak! Best Western has gone completely downhill. I have been a fajghful Best Western customer for years. My last two experiences with Best Western were horrific! Worst customer service ever! Shame on you for allowing what once was an outstanding company to be run by complete controlling lunatics!

Reasonable price. The free breakfast wasn't as good as we've seen at Luther Best Westerns and we decided to pay to eat elsewhere. Not a big deal.
