Guest Reviews
- Andrews (9/5): Nice midway stop over. Thanks. - Breakfast had a nice selection. See below. Powdered eggs were not a thrill.
- Kirk (10/5): - Very good food Perfect
- Hadder (10/5): -
- Ericka (8/5): Great location, friendly staff, and breakfast! - Staff were all pleasant and efficient. Breakfast had a decent window of availability, and a good variety. There was plenty of parking. I appreciate that disposable plates and plastic utensils were left in the breakfast area throughout the day, it made handling my dinner needs very convenient. The wifi was horrible. Not even password secured??? The elevator door was very slow, and I'm personally not a fan of the "inspection certificate on file at office." I think something may have been structurally wrong with one of the bedframes in my room, but thankfully there were 2 beds, so that's somewhat negligible. Within the first 2 minutes of being in my hotel room, I found a dirty sock left behind by the previous occupant. Also, something gross in the recessed handle of the refrigerator door. I would still consider this hotel significantly better and cleaner than others I have stayed in prior.

- Eric (10/5): Great stay - Clean and friendly

- Rebecca (5/5): Not impressed. - The pool was too cold stated it was 82 degrees and it was so cold no one would get in and we let management know and they said it was working. This is one of the reason why we chose the hotel.
The whirlpool was dirty.
- Doris (10/5): Nice play to stay when traveling that allows pets - Easy to find, staff was professional, courteous. And friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable. I guess the price .
- Emily (10/5): Always a pleasure to stay here while in town. Access to restaurants and sights. Great value - Josephine at the front desk is always a delight Clean, convenient and well equipped
- Emily (9/5): -
- Fausto (7/5): - las piscina y el Jacuzzi falta de limpieza, y camiones arrancado a todas horas de la noche que no dejan dormir.
- Joan (10/5): A great time out - I liked that it was clean. Everyone was very nice. I was late in the evening getting there so I was too late for hot tub. But I'm counting on there being a next time.
- 403cathyk (10/5): Good property with need for some attention. - We stayed here twice once on our way to the beach and once on our way home.
On our way down, we appreciated the clean open style lobby. We received a handicapped accessible room and Josephine was wonderful.
Breakfast was very good and all around the staff and the facility were top-notch.
On the way home, we found the same pleasant atmosphere. Josephine was away on a trip. We received a handicapped accessible room that was much further from the entrance. When we went to breakfast in the morning, we had arranged to go at 9:30 because we were told it was until 10 o’clock. We wanted to have our things packed and then be able to just check out and leave before 11.
We found that there was no fruit out, the oatmeal container was empty, and many other things were not as we expected. The attendant is looking for oatmeal and said oh well I’ve cleaned that up already but there’s some in the back this was a half hour before breakfast. Itwas supposed to be over. Also, we had to ask for fruit. He was very friendly, but he made it very clear that he needed to be out the doorat 10 because of some personal function, we found it a little offputting because it did not save him time to have to keep bringing food out to who had every reason to expect a complete Breakfast. It didn’t ruin our stay, but I think it would be good for the owners to know that this is what guests are experiencing.
Otherwise, we love best western and hope that this situation will be corrected if we are in Zion crossroads again
- Doris (10/5): Great stay, comfortable beds. beds - Clean an easy to get to . The staff was exceptional also and would like to acknowledge Brannon for helping us by getting hubby the shower chair and showing us how the light worked .The breakfast selection was very good also we plan on staying there on our return trip. Didn’t care for the pillows
- Terrell (10/5): - The cleanliness and comfortability. The elevator wasn't working that weekend. It was an inconvenience.
- wouldnts (6/5): Overall clean nice; broken elevator, poor quality breakfast. - Overall, a clean and bright hotel. Stayed 1 night in 3rd floor suite. Room was nice and clean. Friendly breakfast staff, but low quality food. The elevator was broken, so had to walk stairs. Bummer.
- Dulcey (10/5): Would welcome the opportunity to stay again - Convient
- NYhiker (8/5): It's a nice hotel and cheaper than the new one next door. - Close to our relative's community. We came back to the hotel at midnight and the elevator was not working.
- Lawrence (9/5): -
- Tim (4/5): Stayed at this hotel numerous times and always enjoyed it. I'll try the Hampton Inn next time. - Room itself was clean and well appointed. Good location right off the interstate. HVAC unit was noisy when we got there but my wife didn't want to change rooms. By our 3rd night I only slept about 2 hours because the HVAC fan motor was a lot louder.
The pillows were extremely hard. When you laid your head on the pillow your chin was on your chest. Your head was always angled upward not inline with your body
- Kara (10/5): -
- Franklin (5/5): Would of been perfect if not for the elevator - The location The elevator went out when I wanted to check out to get back home quicker since I have a 4 months old and I had a car rental that I ended up being charged late fees for because I couldn’t get back on time
- Latanya (8/5): -
- Kate (7/5): -
- Iwona (9/5): - Perfect location, comfortable rooms
- DYLAN OLIVIA (4/5): - The location is good with easy access to the interstate. Our issue was regarding the housing keeping or rather lack there of. We had booked a 7 night stay and not once did we get house keeping done. On day 4 I requested more towels and coffee for the in room machine from the front desk and was informed that they were extremely short staffed with only 2 house keepers for the entire hotel. The front desk staff was incredibly kind, apologetic and this review was not a reflection of them.
- Justin (3/5): - The room itself was decent The front desk attendant took forever to check me in while small talking another customer, I reserved the room for 4 people and had to ask for additional towels and pillows. When they brought the stuff to the room I was told to come down if I needed anything else so they wouldn't have to do it. The shower had a really low flow of water
- Marcel (8/5): - I asked for a freshen up at 9 am on the second day and returned at 5 pm to find room was not done , not good follow up by front desk staff
- Michael (10/5): - Friendly and helpful staff. Nice, clean rooms.
- Stephone (4/5): - Was given the wring room two times. They even gave me the keys to someone else's room. After the third attempt I finally got the room I paid for. Very inconvenient
- Loretta (10/5): - Clean room
- BETTY (8/5): - We were in the area for a wedding and had to use our room just before check in time. The staff was very accommodating. We were there 2 nights and all the staff (front desk, laundry and breakfast) were very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean, had a fridge, microwave and coffee pot. Our stay was very pleasant. Highly recommend. Close to US 64
- Alicia (10/5): Great Stay! - The room was very clean and smelled nice. We enjoyed the breakfast and 24 hour coffee access. The staff was also very friendly.
- Parham (10/5): - Nice clean hotel
- jamison (8/5): -
- Tina (6/5): -
- JOYCE (10/5): - Again, Best Western Zion Crossroads have done a great job making us feel comfortable and welcomed. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was good and the area was very clean. We enjoyed our stay.
- Francis (10/5): - Friendly and cooperative staff
- Telena (10/5): - I loved the back off the road feel all staff was friendly and very clean
- L5434OEgailh (8/5): Would like to recognize one of your workers, Craig Douglas. Very kind sweet person. - We stayed in room 103. Our overall stay was good. My only complaint would be the shower floor was way very slippery. We were giving a shower mat though. I would like to mention that the continental breakfast was pretty good , but most important would like to recognize Craig Douglas, who was very kind and personable. He has a wonderful attitude and I could tell that he loves his job.
- Lori (9/5): -
- Malika (8/5): - Josephine at the front desk during was very informative and so kind to my family. We were in town for a funeral and the compassion the ENTIRE staff showed us that weekend was great. Only thing I would suggest is better breakfast options.
- JOYCE (10/5): - Ms. Josephine at the front desk on Friday evening was excellent... She explained everything that was offered in the hotel and around the area... We are from the area, so we were familiar, but she still took the time... She was very helpful, and we really enjoyed our stay, even though we were there for a family funeral...
We have held family functions here before, so we love the upgrades and will be in contact with you all again in the future...
Thank you for having us - The Wells Family...
- Kim (10/5): - Great location for our family visit
- Go26236747014 (6/5): Lacking quality and value - I stayed here for one night in a 2-queen bedroom with 2 of my sons. Although my special requests were accommodated for a room on the highest (4th) floor with mountain views, and a late checkout until 12pm (a benefit of being a Diamond Select Rewards member), and both the pool and hot tub were nice amenities, the breakfast was sub-par with cheap/basic/bland options (e.g., powdered eggs), the TV had poor reception (e.g., slow response time and blurry picture), and the stairwell had musty smell mold and mildew). The hotel was nice but didn't meet my expectations for the price paid ($170 for Friday night), desperately lacked quality and value. There were gnats flying around in the breakfast area, the 2% milk I had was spoiled, and the yogurt was old with use by dates the same day of my stay. I would expect a lot better from Best Western Plus.
- John (7/5): -
- John (8/5): -
- Ursula (8/5): - The staff was nice.
Rooms are clean.
Your equipment is old and noise doesn't let you rest well. The pool and hot tub are not clean.
It would be nice to keep up with it since you have a big advertisement about it.
- Jamie (10/5): -
- Allison (8/5): - Nice, recently updated
- Teresa (7/5): Enjoyed the convenient location while spending time with our kids who both live nearby. - This is a good location by the interstate for people traveling or those who want easy access to Charlottesville or Richmond during their stay. Lots of wineries and beautiful countryside in the nearby area too. Zion Crossroads has lots of dining options if you want to eat lunch or dinner nearby. Highly recommend Rhett's, which is an easy walk. Rooms were clean and beds extremely comfortable! Breakfast was decent, but one day the pancake machine wasn't working and the next day the oatmeal was cold. The pool tiles are very grimy to the point that people (just kids, I hope) had carved the names and other words into the grime. Gross, but the water seemed otherwise clean. The property was recently renovated and the lobby now feels cold and sterile where before it felt cozy and inviting. There is a new Hampton Inn nearby and it feels like they tried to hard to compete with that model.
- Wanda (10/5): I love this hotel - Everyone is very friendly
- Jessica (8/5): Good enough - Nice, clean, budget-friendly motel. The AC was leaking onto the floor, but other than that, nice enough and comfortable.
- Sharon (9/5): I would probably stay again. - Good location. Close to restaurants and interstate. Very clean. I wish there was some lotion or a shower cap provided. It was priced a little high for that area.
- Terri (6/5): Convenient location for John Paul Jones Arena, Beware of the surprise $30 pet fee and dirty carpets - We stayed in this hotel for a concert at the John Paul Jones Arena and it was pretty convenient as far as being within a 30 min drive to the concert! The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. We were charged $30 additional for a pet fee, which was not visible anywhere I had looked for a pet fee when I reserved the room. We were already paying a premium rate because of the concert so with the pet fee it was pretty expensive. The room was "one of the pet rooms" and the carpet was very dirty and needed cleaning. When we travel with our dog I always bring supplies to clean up after our dog if they have an accident, but apparently no one else does!
- Mike (9/5): Superb - Super clean 👌 nice big room, good breakfast Nothing
- Derrick (6/5): - The ac unit in the room was extremely loud. The parking was loaded with both busses and construction vehicles. For the amount i spent it was subpar.
- Vicky (2/5): - They double charged me for this room and refuse to refund me for one. Charged me through my debit card that was linked to Expedia and then charged me on my master card. Then they booked a room for me on the wrong night and expected me to p pay for it and won’t refund that either. That are scammers!!!!!!’
- Marie (9/5): Superb -
- sjrdw (10/5): Slept really good! - My daughter and I were attending a wedding in New Canton and this was the only hotel within that distance. It was clean and quiet. The staff were friendly (shout out to Ashley) who gave us an early check-in. I met a housekeeper (her first year anniversary) on the elevator who was also friendly. Overall, even though we only stayed one night, I had a wonderful night...slept really good. I did not partake of the breakfast but went across to IHOP, which was across the hotel (walking distance). There is also a bar and grill (walking distance). Lots of options for eating and shopping (Mariachi, Walmart, Lowes, etc.).
- Frances (10/5): I stay each year 8 times per year - Friendly staff room was very comfortable No bath tub in my room
- Nicholas (8/5): - Previous guests socks and shampoo behind tv.
- Philip (10/5): - Very clean
- Leslie (9/5): Superb -
- Darryl (7/5): Good -
- Doug (9/5): Great for an overnight. - Clean. Pet friendly,
Restaurants near by Breakfast was pretty basic.
- Wendy (10/5): - Very nice hotel in great location and shopping/dining was walkable. Very convenient access to I-64. Hubby thought the bed was too soft, but I was okay with it.
- Holmberg (10/5): I stayed here with my dog. The hotel was comfy and in a safe location. The elevator was slow even though there were only - I really like that it was clean and very airy. I thought it was a little pricier per night than usual. The breakfast was also not impressive. While there is a hot breakfast, there is no grab and go kind of breakfast unless you get a muffin.
I also wished there was more actual green space to walk that was flat for my dog.
- Mabel (8/5): Very good - Breakfast, location Too expensive. Lobby was impersonal.
- Arnold (8/5): - When we woke up after the first night we had ants 🐜 on the table and bathroom. The hot tub had stuff floating init like from the bottom so it looked dirty. The staff was amazing we would stay again
- Karen (10/5): - Had a great night's sleep with comfortable beds and plush pillows. The linens and towels were top notch and we will stay at this hotel again.
- Durazo (10/5): Exceptional -

- Maurice (9/5): Superb -
- Douglas (6/5): - .
- Sonia (10/5): Exceptional -

- Stephanie (8/5): Very good -
- Gabriell (7/5): Good -
- Rhonda (8/5): Very good -
- Devin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eberwien (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shawn (10/5): Great stay - Everything was great. Very comfortable stay and great team working there.
- Mark (4/5): - Was disappointed that the heat did not work. We did not realize it until the middle of the night when we woke up freezing . We called the front desk and we were told to unplug it and let it reset. It did not work. Was also unhappy that breakfast doesn’t start until 6:30 unlike most that start at 6. I had to leave for work without breakfast
- Towana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Clark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (6/5): Bed needs updating... - The hotel was okay and the staff was very helpful. The only issue was with the bed. Mattress has clearly seen better days. Very obvious that it was old and sunken in the middle. The pillow case had a stain on it which made me give it a second ding.
- Reed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marie (10/5): Exceptional -
- stephaniemV1746JO (10/5): The 'Best' Western - I loved the newly renovated lobby and rooms.
The room was cozy and the staff was very professional and friendly.
Josephine was very hospitable in getting us checked in.
The check out staff was very friendly too.
The breakfast was great and Jackie worked hard to see that we had a delicious hot meal. She was very delightful & friendly.
This was a great place to stay.
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Diane (9/5): Superb - Clean, easy to find, good breakfast. Mattresses to soft.
- U469RYcherylh (10/5): Thanksgiving Day Stay - My stay at the newly renovated hotel was just excellent. The staff was very courteous and professional. The rooms were wonderful the bed was excellent. I would like to commend Josephine of your staff on being such an excellent hostess. Also the next day at breakfast Jackie was very helpful in helping us with breakfast. I travel to that area at least twice a year, so Best Western Plus Crossroads will be my choice for all overnight stays.
- glenicew2016 (10/5): Best Stay Ever! - My family had our Thanksgiving at the Bestwestern Plus at Zion Crossroads and our time was absolutely fabulous. Thanks to Josephine and Jackie they made our stay all the better. Josephine helped us get all set up and Jackie made sure we had a nice hot breakfast that was delicious.
