You can't beat the rates and the rooms and facility are always clean. It might not be the newest place with all the bells and whistles - but if your just needed a clean, quiet, resonably priced place to lay your head it can't be beat!!!

Manager accused us of stealing because our information about the children traveling with us was somehow deleted before I finalized our priceline registration. He called our room immediately after we all got in the room and told us we would have to pay another $60 ($20 per child) or be evicted. We were given 10 minutes to report to the desk and settle. He was so rude.

When we had two of our granddaughters visit and we headed to the pool, we were asked if we had a room number… then when we answered and they knew we checked in as two adult seniors they again asked How many people.? As if we couldn’t have family visit us here and obviously I must have been lying.

The staff were smiling and making eye contact with greetings every time i passed front desk or housekeeping. They were eager to answer any questions.
• DAVID (10/5): My trip back again to Salado and Belton. - Parking this time here was a little tough to get into due to all the big work pickup trucks . Parking is very limited when the hotel is full. But I like coming here so I can deal with it. The staff here is friendly and the place I good.

Parking situation was pretty bad, as the only exit is onto a one-way road that takes you directly onto the interstate, so you must go one direction on the interstate until getting to an exit- inconvenient.

The key card system for the rooms was not working, so unfortunately the front desk staff had to escort us to our rooms and let us in each time which was s but inconvenient. • 348kurtn (2/5): BEWARE of RESERVATION PROCESS - BEWARE OF HOW YOU MAKE A RESERVATION AT DAYS INN AND HOTELS.COM For a $350.00 reservation, Days Inn, Wyndham Hotels and Hotels.com have lost a customer for life. How dumb is that. I made a reservation at the Days Inn Salado, Texas for my son’s high school sports event. Unfortunately, he got injured so cannot attend. I logged into Hotels.com to cancel my reservation and got a message that the reservation is non-refundable because I tried to cancel at 4pm when the refund deadline was 3pm that same day. I called the local hotel and they said I needed to call Hotels.com as that’s where I made the reservation. While explaining the situation to the Hotels.com rep, she put me on hold to call Days Inn corporate for an “exception”. After a slight hold I was told that my exception was denied. So I tried to call Days Inn corporate and there is no way to speak to a live person. I simply got a virtual assistant that said I needed to call Hotels.com. Lastly, I went to the Days Inn Facebook page. Not to post or slam as I prefer to give businesses a chance to do the right thing. The Days Inn rep responded quickly asking if I was granted the exception. I responded no and got a message from another rep who said I didn’t qualify for a refund. Now they won’t respond. Here are my gripes and why you may want to choose a different, more customer centric hotel brand and reservation website. 1) Hotel.com displayed a message that I wasn’t being charged now which gave me the impression that I would pay at the hotel. Nope. I was charged. 2) Neither Days Inn by Wyndham or Hotels.com were willing to do anything. No full or partial refund or even a future credit. They basically stole my money. 3) I cancelled within an hour of their deadline due to my son’s injury which was 3 days before my check in date. They make the deadline at 3pm in the middle of the day. That’s convenient. 4) The Hotels.com/Days Inn by Wyndham processes make it impossible to get to the correct people to resolve any issues. So I am out $350.00. Lesson learned. But hopefully they won’t steal anyone else’s money.
• kevin (2/5): - The woman on the phone was very rude when I tried to cancel my reservation. There were wet and icy roads that caused a baseball tournament to be canceled. I learned about the cancelation within the 72 hour period and was given no consideration and no refund. She just kept saying " company policy, company policy" I will make it a point to not stay in a Days Inn in the future because of this treatment
• kristyo391 (10/5): Great value with friendly staff - The staff was very friendly. The hotel was recently remodeled and they did a great job. Room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast area had many options and also very clean. I felt like they really cared about their customers. Great value!!

• Criss (2/5): You get what you pay for - Arrived to pubic hair in the tub and soap still on the wall. Night 2 I came back to as roach greeting me at the door, which I promptly killed and went to report. My last night there, I awoke to another roach crawling across me. That was the bottom line. When I took it down to the front desk, they acted like it wasn't a big deal. I got nothing but excuses and then blame placed on the CITY for "bad pipes". I demanded a partial refund for the inconveniences and got nothing but a smirk.

• Charles (2/5): - I booked 2 rooms for a couple of my employees and when they arrived the clerk would not let them check because they had stayed there the week prior and the clerk accused one of them of smoking in the room which he did not do and then refused to refund my payment.

• DAVID (10/5): My hotel stay near Salado. - Very clean room, plenty of room, hard floors no carpet so easy to move around on. Comfortable bed. Hotel seems to be new, depending on what hotel room side you get you either look out north to trees or south to a field. The I 35 highway is about a 100 yards away to the west so there is traffic sounds all day all night coming from and going to Austin. I still slept good. Salado is a nice little town very close by to eat at or walk around. A fun Main Street .

NOTE: our family stay was from ,2am, -10am which was spent sleeping. I never received no proof and they charged me $175.00 more. Whoever called me never advised me of the extra charged nor did he send me pictures of any damage.

• Martha (8/5): Good for the money. - This Hotel had low reviews and I decided to take my chances. It was actually pretty good stay. The only issue was the AC leaked water and thankfully it wasn't that much. Considering the hotel is under renovation. The other issue is the exit out of the hotel it only goes one direction (north) and have to go north on access road and turn around in the U turn to go south. Which adds to your trip south. For the price it was ok nothing to complain about.

• H6847KCjasonh (10/5): Great stay at Days Inn Salado - Stayed at Days Inn Salado while working in the area. My stay was very pleasant. Hotel,rooms and most importantly bathrooms were very clean and updated. Staff was amazing and so very accommodating especially when it came to our work truck parking. Lady at the front desk (Amadora ?) I believe was her name , was awesome and very helpful and professional when it came to checking in a crew of 15. Thanks to her! If ever in the area again this is where we're booking.

Also the hot tub was not working and so the pool was not heated which was very disappointing because I chose the hotel specifically for the indoor pool for the kids. The front desk staff was wonderful though especially Amanpour?. When we checked in Friday night she was awesome and very friendly!!! She gets 5 stars!!!!

• Billie (6/5): Last resort - Hotel was currently under renovations, but bless their hearts who ever is doing those renovations is ripping them off. The renovated rooms were still really dated and poorly put together. Everything looked like it was a DYI by someone that didn’t know what they were doing. Room cost $200 a night, was worth $80 max. Dust was coating everything in the halls, overall the hotel feels dirty and ran down . The hallways were so hot night and day, Beds were comfortable. Overall not a place for a family to stay in comfort. We had no choice due to last minute trip changes. Breakfast was okay, waffles were the hot item. Cereal, toast, muffins and yogurt, OJ, apple juice and coffee. We would not pay to stay here again.
• CandyKane63 (10/5): Loved the hotel and its staff - I really enjoyed my time at the Days Inn by Wyndham at Salado. The hotel was very clean. The staff was very courteous and always ready to attend to whatever question or need I had. Because it was less than 15 miles to my family, that made it that much better. I'll DEFINITELY stay there again!

Amadora at the front greeted me very empathetic and professionally. The whole place in the room/bathroom and hallways were very clean! Overall, I’m pleased with my experience, thank you Amadora!
