- Sherry (8/5): - The breakfast was good. Sausage, eggs cooked to suit you. Waffle maker and toaster. Hash browns, coffee, tea and juice. Yogurt, muffins etc. My only complaint, and there is nothing that can be done about it, is that the pool is almost in the lobby with a big window for everyone to look in on the way to the elevator. Maybe just cover the window so it’s not quite such a show.

- Susan (10/5): Return to Walkerton - We stayed at the older side and we had continental breakfasts included. Ive definitely had better choices and generally all you can eat. Which i really don't care but the bigger eaters do. Only sausage offered as meat option and no fruit. Our rooms were very clean and we didn't need anything. Mostvof us didn't like the pillows so if your fussy on your pillow choice bring your own, they are quite fluffy but small and square. Michelle at the front desk/bar was amazing and helped keep our grandkids happy as well with popcorn, coloring books and crayons. (Sorry for the next kids i ruined the coloring book with wine.) Most of us took advantage of the pool and it was clean. Theres a small workout area and my son inlaw used that in the morning. The staff was very accommodating and friendly

We were very impressed with the service at the front desk and from other staff. We both eat a plant based diet so were pleased to find alternative milk at breakfast.

With more than 1 person in the room, which was obvious because we had 2 queen beds with a sitting area, it would be nice to have more than 1 regular coffee pod for the Keurig machine. 2. We stayed 2 nights during the week, so the free breakfast ended at 9am. It was just a bit too early for all 3 of us to get ready. 10am, or even 9:30am would have been perfect.

She is the heart of this hotel. If there were an award for Employee of the Year across the entire Best Western company, it should go to her without question. Sherry is not only warm and welcoming, she’s incredibly knowledgeable about every aspect of the hotel—from amenities to operations—and even helped guide us around the local area. Her attention to detail, her kindness, and her genuine care for guests made our stay unforgettable. She made us feel like family. The pool was the perfect temperature and our kids (ages 6 and 7) had the best time. The breakfast? Out of this world. Fresh, hot, and delicious. The 24/7 coffee bar was amazing, and the hot chocolate machine should be internationally recognized. The beds were unbelievably comfy with the softest sheets ever. We slept like absolute royalty. Every staff member we encountered was kind, helpful, and professional. If you’re staying in Walkerton—this is where you want to be. Hotels wish they could. Sherry for President of Hospitality.

- emmar787 (10/5): Excellent customer service! - Wow, this was an exceptional stay at a clean, comfortable and well-equipped best western location. Sheri, who checked us in at the front desk, was an absolute gem of a human and even took the time to provide us with a brief overview of the history of the hotel. She was a consummate professional and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Donna made our omelettes in the morning and was very friendly and the omelettes were delicious. The facilities were very clean throughout. I will be staying here again next time I’m in the area with my husband.

- RamonP552 (10/5): A Local Gem of a Hotel - What a great property, the staff is amazing, the hotel is expanding, new rooms will be more extended stays with full kitchens. Those will be under the @Home Best Western brand. Breakfast is good, the coffee machine can prepare quite an extensive number of coffee and chocolate drinks. Rooms are clean in good shape and comfortable. Beds have good bedding, right support mattresses and five pillows. It has a nice ballroom and meeting rooms. A surprising property, well maintained and dedicated staff. Will not hesitate to come back.

Lattes, hot chocolate, mocha, cappuccino at the touch of a button. A made to order omelette bar. Our king size bed was heaven. We went for a couple days with our snowmobiles and this was an ideal location to stay. Our room was clean and well appointed. Zero complaints with this hotel. The little touches like the omelette bar and coffee machine sets this hotel apart from the rest. Nice work!! And great staff makes all the difference.

She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and ensured that we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The customer service was definitely 5 star!! She was so helpful that my husband believes that if he needed a kidney transplant, she would donate without hesitation!! This Best Western is a hidden gem in Walkerton! We will be back!!

What a great birthday experience ! Breakfast was wonderful. Staff were superb in their extra care for us.

- Karen (6/5): - We have stayed at this property many times. We like that it accepts dogs, that it is clean, and very convenient with a good breakfast and very friendly staff without exception. During this visit, there are four things that I will mention 1. There is construction next-door and generally the site looks pretty clean however, there is a light pole that is on a huge ankle and could fall down and it has not protected nor dealt with. 2. The pool was not working for the entire duration of our stay. I understand sometimes there are chemical issues but over the holidays, It would have been nice to have a pool, which is why we booked this hotel. 3. In our room, the temperature was 80°F when we arrived and the only way to reduce the heat after an hour of trying to correct it, was to put the air conditioning on for the entire evening. Even though we are on the main floor, you cannot open the windows, so there was no other solution. 4. Unfortunately, hotels are now eliminating reql bedspreads and comforters and opting for very thin bed covers with silky slip linings. The linings slip off every single time and the remaining bedding is not warm at all and provides no weight nor comfort. I find the solution incredibly uncomfortable and not sufficient for sleeping.

Service for 120 people was exceptional. Whenever we stay at the Best Western in Walkerton our high expectations are always met or exceeded.

We were in room 209, and you could hear voices from other rooms coming through the heating/cooling vents until well after 1:30am, as well as guests moving around on the 3rd floor above our room.

- Susan (10/5): - Called in the morning for early check-in. Robert assured me that would be fine. Upon arrival, greeted by Robert at the front desk and confirmed our room was ready. Friendly service, room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast in the lobby was Fresh made omelette by staff! Best hotel breakfast yet! Thank you for making our stay wonderful and accommodating.
- BRIGITTE (10/5): - The one gentleman at the front lobby wasn't as friendly as the different ladies there and running the breakfast bar, but ok. We stayed with our little dog for the first time in a hotel and it was excellent. Large grass area for the dog to walk and do his business.

- E6029LMsusanb (10/5): Stay Here - Quiet out of the hustle and bustle hotel . Unbelievable friendly staff here. Willing to help out any traveler. Rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. And the fresh omelet in the morning is a great way to start your day. If ever in the Walkerton area, I highly recommend!

- June (8/5): Great stay overall - Everything was great especially Sherry the afternoon shift at the desk. The only thing I o was disappointed in was Friday morning had make your own waffle and Saturday to Monday it’s was eggos. We paid more money on those nights and less appetizing waffle

- Ken (10/5): - Staff was really nice and polite. Very helpful. There was always someone cleaning all areas of the hotel. Breakfast was excellent. Used local farm sourced ingredients. An excellent stay and would highly recommend this location!!
- U863DGloric (10/5): The best Best Western I have ever stayed at! - Amazing hotel and staff. I stayed with family. And found It was clean, quiet and I felt very safe. The breakfast was the most unique I’ve ever had as the chef made your eggs to order. There was a full service bar at front and although I didn’t use it, it was another unique thing with this hotel. I have nothing negative to say. I would higher recommend this hotel and would stay again if in the area.
- Cathy (10/5): - The hotel is located across the road from a OPP station so it felt safe to walk around in early morning. There was an abundace of parking. The hotel was spotless. We never heard any noise from the adjoining rooms. There was a restaurant within walking distance of the hotel and a ice cream hut. The breakfast was cooked fresh with all the ingredients you wanted added to your eggs/omlet. there was a good asortment of other breakfast items and the cappacino coffee was better than Tim Hortons.
