- Brenda (10/5): - Very nice place to stay and the staff was great. The only thing I didn't like is, breakfast was suppose to be until 9am and I went down at 8:40 and there was nothing left except potatoes and they said they stop putting stuff out at 8:30.
- K1532KEcindys (6/5): Weekend breakfast hours are too early - Room was great. Pool water was cold but the spa was good temp. Main complaint is that the weekend breakfast hours are 6 to 8:00 a.m. and they stopped replenishing hot food at 7:45 a.m. We'd paid extra for this hotel because of the advertised hot breakfast, and then I didn't even get hot food because the eggs and bacon were gone early.

Breakfast hours over the weekend were 6:00 to 8:00 a.m. and they stopped refilling hot food at 7:45 a.m. I missed out on eggs and bacon because I arrived at 7: 45. The unusually early breakfast hours were very upsetting to us and a number of other guests who wanted to sleep longer on the weekend... I asked to speak to the manager about this but did not receive a phone call back.

- Sydney (4/5): - Upon arriving to the room the temperature was 87 degrees. We turned on the AC to 68 and when we woke up it was still 77. Breakfast set up was poor. Staff informed us they were missing food items they typically have and they had no plates.

- jalee58 (6/5): Tired hotel not up to BW Plus standards - IFirst I must say we are Diamond members with Best Western and have stayed at many Best Western properties. This one we found disappointing especially since this is supposed to be a Best Western Plus. Our first issue was when we walked in the front doors, we were't greeted and thanked for being BW Diamond members. We alo didn't recieve any bottles of water which we're supposed to as Diamond members. The girl at the desk acted like it was an imposition to check us in and spoke so softly I had to ask her to repeat everything she said. When we got to our room immediately I saw the TV screeen was copletely smeared with some type of cleaner residue. It was bad enough you couldn't watch it. I had to get a towel damp and clean it off. My wife then found the counter in front of the microwave and coffee maker all sticky with somewthing so we had to clean that too. The room was poorly arranged, the bed was positioned barely 2 feet from the AC/heat unit. So the person on that side of the bed had a stiff breeze of cold air blowing directly on them all night. That said the bed itself was pretty comfortable. Also the chair in our room wasn't very clean. The breakfast was on par with other Best Westerns with the usual waffles, scrambled egg product, various cerals, etc. Overall our stay was just adequate, though not up to the standards we expect from a Best Western Plus. If in the area again I would choose a hotel somewhere else in eastern Kansas or western Missouri.

- Verified traveler (4/5): - We booked 3 rooms for family to stayb in, for a wedding in town. When we arrived, we were told elevator is broken, so we had to carry all supplies up stairs. We went to get ice on 2nd floor, however that ice machine was broken. Our chair in the room was broken. The pool looked as if it hadn't been cleaned, and almost had a film on the water, so swimming was out. The hallways and stairs need a good vacuuming and were dirty. The beds were hard, not comfy. The hot Breakfast- was a joke. No fresh fruit, no non dairy options, the yogurt machine was broken, powdered microwaved eggs, very limited options. A family member got cereal out of the dispenser, only to find ants inside the dispenser. There was no one working to refill anything during peak Breakfast time. We paid over 150 per night, and would not stay there again. I hope new management can turn the hotel around.

Even though my confirmation said government rate they would not honor it!! And calling corporate multiple times gets no resolution to the problem! Best Western has lost a customer FOREVER!!

The elevator was broken the entire stay, 5-days, Told that it's been broke for a long time with no end in site for getting it repaired. Plan to lug all of your stuff upstairs without assistance.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Best Western Plus - Hiawatha - The bedding was dirty and had to have it changed as soon as we got there - visible stains and debris on the bedding with a strong odor coming from the stains. Floors in the hallway were very dirty. Sunflower seeds, cheerios, and other crumbs on the floor of the hallway. The front desk were very kind and changed our bedding herself when we asked.
- connien710 (2/5): TERRIBLE - The hotel was dirty, customer service was terrible, the elevator was broken, the breakfast was terrible and cold. When asking for a first floor room , I was denied and said they were all occupied by the robot , rude desk clerk. Had to carry my luggage up to 3rd floor. Halls and stairwells were filthy, not tub was so dirty I would worry about putting my foot in. The staff was not knowledgeable, helpful nor friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable but the rest of the hotel was terrible. I have stayed there several times prior to this stay and never had a complaint. Not sure what happened , whether new management or other issues but was definitely dissatisfied and I rarely leave negative reviews.

The staff person was manning the front desk and the breakfast area. He had a difficult time maintaining the breakfast food and drink. The coffee ran out, as did the cups and plates, and the eggs, sausage and bacon. The bed was comfortable.

Swimming pool and hot tub open till 10 that kids enjoyed. The only thing that I would recommend is that they supply a bar of soap. There was the usual small bottles of shampoo and lotion, but no bar soap. If that was the only issue, then this was a great place and I would stay here again.

- Storyteller722566 (10/5): Superb hotel - This hotel is right off Highway 36 in Hiawatha. The staff is great. The rooms are wonderful the beds very comfortable and the breakfast is superb. You couldn’t ask for a better place to stay give it a try you will not be disappointed
- W696VFchristopherg (2/5): Nuts to the Best Western Plus of Hiawatha! - I have been a very good customer of this hotel staying maybe eighty nights during the past ten months. I've put up with broken chairs at the desks in rooms and cushions on the couch so beat up that the fold-out bed mechanism in the sofa couldn't be covered up. But the last couple of visits have been particularly bad. Towels have been placed in the bathroom for use by customers that had big black stains on them. Nothing like reaching for a towel after a shower and seeing a big black mark on it as it nears your face! Had they been laundered? I can't say. But clearly stained towels need to be thrown away and not reused. Then last night I get put into a room without a working shower! Didn't notice it until this morning when I started getting ready for a board meeting. The shower handle was plainly just hanging there unconnected to the valve in the wall! Didn't the attendant that made up the room notice this? The shower curtain had been nicely tucked away around a grab bar but she didn't see the broken control handle? How was the shower cleaned when water couldn't be turned on?? I'm sorry, this hotel isn't giving rooms away. Selling accommodations at well over $100/night should be revenue enough to guarantee a clean room with working plumbing. It would have been very convenient for me to continue staying here the next couple of years. However, I've had it with such lousy conditions and will find someplace else even if it means driving a further distance from the area. Nuts to the Best Western of Hiawatha!
- Dewey (6/5): - The pol was down again for repair 3 time elevator was dirty carpet wasn’t vacuumed all weekend Breakfast was average same liquid scrambled eggs sausage and waffles yogurt machine was broke had a few donuts I don’t expect a dine in restaurant meal but biscuits and gravy or maybe pancakes. For the price that I’m paying a nite 160.00 is getting up there in price for small town Hyawatha Ks.
- dealsearcher57 (10/5): Third stay here - Nice size room, comfortable bed and plenty of pillows. Room was clean, amenities were as listed. Appreciated full length mirror just outside the bathroom so one could do hair/makeup there while another could use the bathroom. Only glitch was desk clerk gave us weekend hours for breakfast on a Monday night, so while we thought we would have an hour to eat, the attendant was starting to clean up. She was kind and patient, did not rush us, but eggs were definitely old and cold. All and all, a good place to stop for the night!

- mrsbrojoe (8/5): Wonderful :-) - Kudos to Lindsay at front desk :-) Friendly & efficient, check-in was quick & EZ which is always appreciated after a long day on the road. Everyone on staff was cheerful, helpful & pleasant. Automatic front doors, plenty of luggage carts, zippy elevator in the lobby which was nicely decorated & welcoming. Room was spacious & spotless w/fridge/micro & in-room coffee. Plenty of counter space in VERY clean bathroom w/generous supply of bright white towels. Free wifi w/ample signal strength to check weather, stream Netflix, etc. Melted off to sleep on super comfortable bed w/four fat, fluffy pillows. Parking lot was well lit & I felt my vehicle was safe. Left out early & only grabbed coffee but continental appeared to have both hot & cold standard items. Would happily stay here again!

- Verified traveler (10/5): Thanks from England - I am answering for my son Gray who had the room. we booked the room for our son and granddaughter from England. We booked four nights. They had flight delays and did not arrive as planned. I notified the hotel of a late arrival. Then they had another delayed so again I notified the hotel. As they didn't arrive on the day scheduled I had to book them in to save the room knowing we would lose one night. The reception staff under my problem and was very understanding and helpful in handling. My son was very pleased with the accommodation and was surprised at the size and condition. They asked me to thank everyone for their hospitality in making their visit very enjoyable and will probably see you when they visit the US again.

- ToniS476 (6/5): Hmmmmmm - Friendly staff, comfortable beds, basically clean rooms BUT when we walked into our room upon arrival, someone had pooped in the toilet in our room & didn’t flush. Kinda grossed me out but I just flushed the toilet & wiped down the bathroom. The room had obviously been cleaned so I’m assuming it was staff. Probably happens more than we realize.

Second the shower head was so high up on the wall that I had to stand on the edge of the tub in order to do any adjusting. Other than thise two things the place was very nice.
- OklahomaMiracle (10/5): King Jacuzzi Suite - The jacuzzi king suite was very nice. We will try to get it on our next visit. Hotel is very nice and clean! We were visiting family on this trip. Hotel is right behind a McDonald’s with a Casey’s convenience store and gas station next door and a Dollar General store about a block away.

- CindyL868 (10/5): April 2023 - Very nice property located in Hiawatha. Extremely clean room, comfortable bed, quite and staff was very nice at every encounter, coming or going from hotel. We had the king suite which had a sofa, chaise lounge and coffee table plus desk and desk chair. Another comfortable chair in far corner by window, Nice to have a spacious room.
