Guest Reviews
- Johanne (10/5): Clean, fresh and welcoming. Home from home. - Beautiful property and Hazel the owner even though we didn’t meet trusted us in her home and allowed us to sit in the lounge. A lovely stay. Highly recommend.
- Debbie (10/5): - Very nice room, lovely owner, everything we wanted.
- Karen (8/5): - Booked last minute for a 1 night stay. Room was lovely and clean. Hazel the host was lovely so welcoming and gave us lot of recommendations for food in the local area. Guest house is not fully in use at the moment but that was fine with us as it was super quiet. 8 minute drive to Mundesley. Our only con was there wasn’t any power to the shower. I would stay again.
- clare (10/5): - Beautiful property , comfortable bed. Warm friendly welcome.
Peaceful and close to the beach.
Had a wonderful stay.
Local chippy serves delicous food.
- Tanya (10/5): - Was a lovely place to come for the night, The room was lovely and had a feeling of home, The owners were very accommodating and very welcoming. Will definitely recommend to family and friends
- Melissa (10/5): - Stayed at Olde Hall and had no issues. Lovely place.
It is an old building which means there are creaky floorboards, meaning we could hear people walking about upstairs in the night, and there is a damp smell unless the window is open, but otherwise loved it. Loved the cat, she was playful and fluffy, loved Hazel the owner, she was super helpful, loved the bedroom layout, very convenient and how easy it was to get to.
Only thing I'd suggest for the future would be to have access to a fridge and drinking water. A squiggee in the bathroom would help reduce the condensation buildup.
- Kathy (10/5): - Nice bed was very comfortable and lovely place to stay . Had late check out also and nice breakfast at watsons . Now off to Morston quay see the seals . Perfect stay .
- Tricia (10/5): - Communication with the host, Hazel, was excellent and she went out of her way to make sure everything was satisfactory, to the point of offering me a partial refund for my stay for the behaviour of other guests, which was not her fault. The property is well maintained and very clean.
- CHRISTIAN (10/5): Olde Hall - We were welcome by the host a very nice and helpful lady, the accommodation was very clean and comfortable, i woukd highly recommend and will be staying there again
- Anita (10/5): - Beautifully kept house with everything you need for a quiet time away. Car is advisable as no buses at the weekend but has plenty of nice walks. Host very friendly and informative of area and local places to eat, would definitely use again
- Charles (10/5): Excellent Stay - Host was most helpful and accommodating. The room had excellent facilities, especially the shower. Only one gripe was the firm mattress which is probably good for most people but not what I'm used to. The location was excellent and central to some m ce walks and places to eat.
- Muhammad Naveed (10/5): Calm, Clean and Comfortable - I found it clean, calm and comfortable. Host was very welcoming. I would recommend everyone to visit once.
- David (10/5): - Very helpful as I got lost, and a really good recommendation for The Ship pub for excellent food.
- Ian (10/5): Amazing and old-fashioned in a very good way - Very comfortable very clean I would stay again and the staff are very friendly and the young lady was so helpful
- v (10/5): Beautiful home - Thankyou for the lovely stay, and for being ao kind. Dont hesitate booking this wonderful place, beautiful home and so close to beach and an amazing cafe called Watsons

- charmaine (8/5): - Host was very accommodating. Bed was super comfy and easy access coming and going in and out.
- AJ (10/5): - Extremely comfortable. Host was exceptionally accommodating and kind.
- L (4/5): - A bit strange. The room downstairs was off the lounge which was used by the owner so we could hear her conversation with somebody else in the evening. Not particularly private therefore. The upstairs rooms would have the same issue since the lounge area is open to the higher floor. Lack of carpeting didn’t make it especially cosy or quiet.
- Hannah (10/5): Great host!! - Lovely place. A little creaky but it is an old building. The host was so welcoming and really made our stay. Could get in touch with her so easily! Made all of the difference!
- PAUL (6/5): - Property was very nice, I booked a room with a shower but we were given a room without one, also advertised as bed and breakfast but no breakfast. We were told to go across the road for breakfast which we had to pay for. So that made the visit expensive. Overall a lovely place but won’t be going back.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent hosting, we were made to feel very welcome and all our needs catered for, with extra care in consideration of covid-safe protocols.
The property was spotlessly clean, with free on-site parking, and within walking distance of a quiet sandy beach, local pub and several cafes and take-aways.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely property are traditional cottage lovely rooms lovely bathroom nice and clean and really friendly staff would highly recommend it five out of 5 stars Will definitely be visiting again 👍
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastic 🙂 - I would highly recommend staying at the Olde Hall. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left Hazel was very pleasant asking after our needs, recommended things for us to do including beaches and eateries to visit, and the room was clean and freshly aired. Stay included an internet TV within the room, free WiFi and free parking.
- SarahDyer (4/5): - No Fire Alarms in any bedrooms or landing, 5 people sharing one bathroom, surely isnt right under Covid-19 Restrictions, I let the owner know i had taken the Anti Bacterial spray out of the hall, so i could anti-bac every time my partner and i used the shared facilities, she said she would be cleaning the shard bathroom several times a day...she didn't, there was no carpets on the large landing or stairs, and carpet gripper Proud for you to stub your toes on, the keypad, to access the Hall was acting up all the while we were there, taking at least 20 mins to get in each time, the owner was aware of this problem, yet didnt get anyone in to mend it, we booked to stay an extra night when we arrived, the owner on the last evening of our stay, didnt even come back to the premises all night, we didn't need her, and there was a number to contact her on, but with lack of prescence of an owner it felt like we were staying in a YMCA, the place feels like they arent bothered, i saw the original pictures of the hall when it was first established and it looked a lot better then, total lack of care was obvious in all aspects
- Rachel (8/5): - Lovely staff, very friendly and with great suggestions for the local area. 10-15 minute walk from the beach.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great place to stay - Everything was great.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Stylish and clean but no breakfast - Had a pleasant stay everything comfortable and spotlessly clean but was disappointed at the lack of breakfast all we could see were cereals and no milk or anyone around to ask about a cooked breakfast
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A little concerned re exiting the car park into the road as vision was limited as it was on a bend.
- Amanda (4/5): Dated, Grubby & Expensive - From the other reviews it would seem we were unlucky.
Bed was falling apart & extremely uncomfortable. Bedding was stained. Hair in bed. Curtains hanging off the wall.
It was advertised as being luxurious. We found our room to be lees than average. Dated & grubby. The room rate is high for a B&B - We paid £75 per night for room only. Breakfast is an additional £10 per person. Pool cost was £10 per session. So bed, breakfast & a swim is £105 per night.
Sadly, we wouldn't recommend Olde Hall & we won't return.
- Michael (10/5): Top notch B&B - Hazel was very welcoming. The room was as we expected and very good value.
We will go again without hesitation. Better than the surrounding hotels by miles.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was nice & warm but strange set up, we had to wait for breakfast as the lady had to pop to shop to get orange juice
- Marek (10/5): Lovely stay in ... - Lovely stay only thing i would add is separate toilet upstairs. Love the house and the area!!!
- Calvin (8/5): Recommended - Had a nice stay and Hazel was very helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved the lounge room and the entire set up
Hazel was a charming host
- Dawn (10/5): Day at the coast - Nice relaxing stay at the coast. Clean and comfortable facilities.
- steve (10/5): Very pleasant stay - Nice comfortable stay and a very friendly host in Hazel. Would definitely stay again when next in the area. Unable to take advantage of the cooked breakfast as up and out early but Hazel kindly left me some fruits and cereals.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely location. Helpful staff with good local knowledge.
- Mark (10/5): Quaint village, lovely accommodation - Comfortable and friendly stay. Felt welcome from arrival. Tasty fresh breakfast
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property is very quiet and clean. The staff (Hazel)is very nice and accommodating. The hospitality was very good and the standard of the room is very high. Thanks Hazel.
- Julian (10/5): - Great for wat we wanted good price and very clean just in the area to visit friends for the day
- Ros (6/5): Bacton - Everything was ok. Unusual having breakfast around a large table with other guests. Felt a little bit like cone dine with me.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Friendly B and B good choice of breakfast .Very helpfull host.We really enjoyed our short break in Norfolk.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely. - Great stay at the Olde Hall. Very comfortable and clean. The local Pub (Poachers pocket) is just a short 10 min walk away where i had a great meal sat outside watching the tide come in.
Breakfast was also lovely and i was very impressed with the great service received there.
- Karen M (10/5): - Enjoyed two night stay. Very friendly host, clean premises & lovely breakfast.
- Paul (10/5): Private and cheerful - Easily found, with access thoughtfully arranged, this is a very clean and pleasant low-budget accommodation near beaches, cliff walks, good pubs, chip shops etc etc. I would be happy to stay there again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Stylish comfortable guest house - Very stylish property, well appointed, very enjoyable experience.
- Aaron (10/5): Lovely Hotel - Lovely hotel, very accommodating.

- David (10/5): An Excellent place to stay - Warm welcome. Spacious room, comfortable room. Breakfast excellent.
Host very informative and helpful.
Pool look nice but as was on business was able to take advantage of the facility, otherwise I definitely would have used it.

Location easy to find and good access for the area. .
