- Daniel (10/5): - Breakfast was amazing There was nothing not to like
- Luci (10/5): Fantastic, will definitely be going again! - Fantastic room, breakfast and EVERYTHING! Best stay I have experienced - ever.
- Stuart (9/5): -
- Tina (10/5): Comfy clean hostess brilliant - Location . Near to everything No en-suite
- Hugh (9/5): - Fran as host! The proximity to the harbour, shops and pubs. Fran's lovely breakfast baskets. It's a shame there isn't a communal room/area to meet other guests.
Would like to be able to watch 'live' TV.
- Robert (10/5): Great - Great location, cracking breakfast and a lovely, friendly host.
- Tracey (10/5): - The location was spot on. Fran hospitality was first class rooms were clean and welcoming There wasn't anything
- Arabella (10/5): Amazing B&B in Mevagissey! - Was amazing! Fran thought of everything we could have ever needed. Such a lovely B&B. We would deffo come back again. Nothing! Everything was great!
- Amy J (10/5): Perfect home from home. - The breakfast was brilliant. The location is literally a ‘stones throw’ from the harbour and is right in the village. The room was spotlessly clean and it smelt amazing. Home from home. Fran was a delightful and helpful host. Parking was good, ‘Willow’ carpark wasn’t too far away and they were great people there too who run it. There was nothing to not like. Wished we could of stayed longer. We would definitely stay there again.
- Kieron (10/5): Lovely place to stay in Mevagissey . - Comfortable and clean room ,great location . Breakfast baskets were delicious and our host Fran was very friendly and helpful.
- Laurent (9/5): un délicieux havre de paix très cosy - l' emplacement était le point de départ de nombreuses randonnées tout était super
- Ann (10/5): Great couple of days - Beautiful room and breakfast delivered in a basket each morning Everything was lovely
- milena (9/5): -
- Saxton (10/5): A beautiful room, amazing host and the best hotel breakfast we've had. - The host was lovely and so welcoming.
The breakfast was beautiful!
The little extras in the room were a great surprise. Nothing
- Euchryphia (10/5): Would definitely stay there again! - Lovely breakfast, beautifully presented in a basket and brought to the room, including options for hot and cold food. The proprietor is a lovely lady who couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful.
Perfect location a very short walk from the main carpark, necessary as the streets are very narrow and best to avoid in a vehicle. The tiny bathroom was just across the landing, which some might not like, but it didn’t bother us at all, as it was for our sole use. That was a tiny compromise for the advantage of being in such a quaint tastefully decorated terraced cottage in the middle of Mevagissy.
- Yves (10/5): -
- Sharon (10/5): Hight recommended - Great host, all was fantastic No complaints from me
- Lynne (9/5): Fantastic stay . - Fantastic stay. Host was awesome. Breakfast basket was delicious. Nothing.
- Joanne (8/5): Very good -
- Jennie (10/5): Absolutely fabulous and highly recommended! - Fran was so welcoming and absolutely lovely and very friendly. Our comfort was her concern and pleasure to provide. The breakfast options covered absolutely everything you ever wanted to eat in the morning and the presentation in a hamper to your door at your requested time was such a beautiful touch. The food was delicious and fresh. The twin room was airy, light, clean and had everything you needed for a short stay. The separate bathroom was compact but clean and with a power shower and products provided was tremendous. Fran has won multiple awards and deservedly so. The mattresses on the twin beds were very hard and I have a very bad back. Fran provided 2 winter duvets to go over the mattress and made it much more comfortable.
- Henry (9/5): Superb - Host was lovely. Cottage was well located. Two flights of stairs. Show was too small.
- Angela (10/5): Lovely stay in the heart of Mevagissey - Fran was super friendly, helpful and always on hand to ask about anything. The room was very comfortable, light and Frans attention to detail was wonderful and her breakfast hampers were outstanding. Highly recommend as also a great location a Stones throw from the harbour! Nothing.
- Dan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nigel (10/5): A perfect little place to enjoy all that Mevagissey has to offer. - Located very close to shops and Harbour, with excellent facilities and a very welcoming host.

- Trevor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rose (10/5): Exceptional -
- Troughton (10/5): Exceptional - Such a warm welcome. Excellent breakfast with so many options to choose from. I also loved how close this was to the SW coast path and from my room I could see a bit of the sea. It was an expensive place to stay but you get what you pay for I guess!
- Robyn (9/5): Superb -
- Rebecca (10/5): Perfect! - Fran was the perfect host!! Nothing was too much trouble and the little touches that showed she goes to great lengths to make sure her guests are happy and well cared for… No en suite, but it didn’t bother us (we did have a private bathroom access
- Helen (10/5): Perfect Stay, The Best Host! - Fran was an exceptional host! Everything was perfect. The room was extremely comfortable, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was superb with freshly prepared local ingredients, really delicious. The cottage was full of character and just a minute from the facilities and harbour. We will never forget Frans warm welcome and kindness Nothing not to like
- Linda (10/5): A Lovely Cottage in a Gorgeous Fishing Village - The cottage is right next the harbour, shops and restaurants. From my 2nd floor room I had a view of the water through the roof tops. Fran is a warm and friendly host offering lots of information about the area, the best parking and served a really lovely breakfast to your room in a cute basket. The bed was a little firmer that I would have liked.
- Hugh (9/5): Superb - The breakfast basket brought to your room. The TV was not programmed to receive 'live' broadcasts.
- Julie (9/5): Superb - Excellent location very close to the harbour but peaceful at night. The room had everything required for my stay and the owner was really helpful and caring. Will definitely return.
- Dee (10/5): perfection - everything, immaculate, lovely hamper breakfast in the room, great choice, wonderful host. nothing
- Garry (8/5): An enjoyable stay - Breakfast was really lovely, and Fran could not have been more helpful. The facilities in the room were great. We're so glad the information we received told us to park outside the town, as driving through Mevagissey is a nightmare even in the off season. We booked a twin room because of availability. It had a private bathroom and toilet on the same floor but across the landing. It was probably our own fault for not reading the facilities wording properly.
- Susan (10/5): This is the place to sray - Fran was like family. Her breakfast taco was outstanding. Beautifully appointed gorgeous room equipped with EVERYTHING.Within easy walking distance to harbor. Lighthouse room has view of lighthouse at night and great sunrises nothing
- Wendy (8/5): Perfect - Lovely helpful host. Close to harbour.
- Brian (10/5): Best Cornwall village (location, view, shops restaurants) with exceptional service and beautifully appointed - Loved the value adds!! Beautiful room picnic basket breakfast and other small things that mean something… face washer ✔️👍🏼and providing netflix to the room. Excellent location and value. Exceeded expectations.
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional - Perfectly situated in the heart of Mevagissey, eveything is to hand. Beautiful Stone's throw cottage is a lovely haven to relax and unwind. Fran is exceptional, always with a smile on her face and so very helpful. This bijou place is a perfect home from home.
Breakfast is varied and delicious - loved the presentation.
I will be coming back here regularly, so glad I have found it! There's nothing to dislike.
- Trivart (8/5): Very good - Cosy and great location. Fran was very friendly! Nothing to note
- Jayne (8/5): Fantastic host and absolutely gorgeous breakfasts - a real treat! - Very clean and the breakfasts were amazing! Very friendly host and nothing was too much trouble for her. The overnight oats with maple syrup are really tasty. Hubby had the hot bacon and egg baguettes and said they were lovely. Lots of little touches which made our stay very welcome. Parking - we didn’t realise the streets were so narrow, but to be fair it was pointed out to us on booking, so had to walk quite a way to the car park with suitcases etc. There is definitely no way you could park at the door and drop luggage off due to traffic flow both ways on a very narrow road. No fault of the owner of course, just an observation.
- Brenda (10/5): Exceptional - It was great!
- Jake (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martyn (10/5): Excellent - Fran was lovely. Excellent location, room and breakfast. Nothing
- Hannah (10/5): Fantastic place- would highly recommend - The location was perfect, the breakfast was fantastic, lots of little touches like slippers, home made body washes, very clean. Bed was very clean.
Great host!!!!!! Nothing
- Teresa (10/5): Excellent and welcoming - Breakfast good, plenty of choice. Location excellent lots of nice restaurants and coffee shops. Nice shops and near to other nice places to visit.
- Kevin (10/5): Fran is an amazing host and we will definitely stay again. - Everything!!! Location is superb. Room was clean and beautifully decorated with a great view over the harbour. Breakfast was spectacular! Nothing at all.
- Liz (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly host. Provision of thoughtful little extras in room. Lovely breakfasts. Shame having to park so far away but that is only solution in Mevagissey
- Deeks (10/5): Exceptional - I was pleasantly surprised not only with the first class facilities such as tea and coffee brands which were in abundance, the breakfast menu was wide and varied which would have satisfied all guests.
Finally our host Fran, a most delightful host, who made sure her guests enjoyed the experience of Stone's Throw Cottage. My stay was exceptional
- Katie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melanie (10/5): Absolutely brilliant. Can’t wait to return - Everything
Location Fab. Breakfast fab. The host Fran fab. Room fab Nothing to dislike
- Helen (9/5): Superb -
- Micael (9/5): Superb - Nespresso coffe machine in the room, good cooked breakfast in the room, good croissant
- Jill (10/5): Wonderful warm welcome! - The welcome to Mevagissey started in the carpark (which is attended). When I asked the way to Stone’s Throw Cottage, the men welcomed me to Mevagissey and remsrked that I would have a lovely stay at Fran’s. I trundled my case down to the property and I was welcomed by Fran, who could not have been kinder or more helpful, and remained so throughout, answering all my questions.
I was in lighthouse room which has a view over the rooftops to the sea and the lighthouse. The large bed was very comfortable. Wi-Fi was good. I liked the breakfast in a basket brought to my room at a time of my choosing. I enjoyed the breakfast tortilla.
The property is close to the harbour, restaurants, pubs and shops.
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Ailsa (10/5): Fran was the perfect host! - Exceptionally clean, wonderful tasty breakfast and perfect location N/A
- Patrick (9/5): Great place to stay for a couple in the heart of the town. The host Fran was delightful. - The Host - Fran was delightful, helpful and informative.
Breakfast brought to the room in a basket which was as per a pre-filled form the night before. Very good selection of breakfast goodies. Cold water and milk available in small fridge outside the room - again nice touch.
Had our own bathroom facilities seperate from the room - small but very adequate. Bathroom consumables supplied.
Guest house situated right on the harbour, very close to 5 star restaurants, local shops. The mattresses on the 2 single beds had sloping memory so you felt like you were angled outwards.
Single car narrow road right outside the front door! Needed to be careful stepping out into 2 way traffic!
All day car park a good walk away if you have a lot of luggage! Better to park in short stay whilst you come/go with luggage as its closer.
- Allyson (10/5): Brilliant B&B - This little B&B is right in the heart of Mevagissey, perfect location. The room was so pretty and had everything we could have wanted and more, spotlessly clean and comfy beds. Bathroom was across a tiny landing but thats no issue as Fran provided dressing gowns. Bathroom small but perfectly formed, hey what do you do in a bathroom? It wasnt the best weather whilst there but the room was warm and cosy. Frans breakfast ... well what can I say, served in a lovely basket and a great choice, I dont eat mushrooms but I ate her. Delicious!!!! Fran is lovely, very chatty and knows all there is to know. We loved our stay Nothing at all

- Kelly (10/5): Fran has it spot on. - Fran is an exceptional host, and Stone's throw cottage is gorgeous.
Our room was The Lighthouse, the bed was firm and so comfortable. The room is beautifully decorated, with excellent attention to detail, with cute little touches, like a tag on the hair dryer drawer. Breakfast is just perfect. It is delivered to your room in a basket with cute tags on jars. The breakfast tortilla is delicious. The whole experience was perfect. The village is very small to drive round, and Willow Car Park staff know Fran well, and the rates are very reasonable too.
- Elenore (9/5): Highly recommended - We enjoyed our stay very much. Fran was an excellent host and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast in the room was very good and of a high quality. There was nothing to dislike. Not a criticism in any way but a comfy chair would have been nice in the room.
- Robert (10/5): Outstanding, Friendly Service and Character Accomodation - Outstanding friendly and helpful service provided by the owner. Excellent choice of breakfast options served in your room, superbly presented and prepared with fresh ingredients such as Greek yoghurt, fruit, fresh baked baguettes and croissants, and good quality traditional breakfast fare such as eggs, bacon and sausage etc. Beautifully appointed, character accommodation, in traditional cottage just a short alleyway back from the harbour front and all amenities. Lots of homely touches in the decor. Nothing, not to like.
- Michael (9/5): Over all very good - All good Bathroom sink to small
- Sylvia (10/5): Best B&B I've ever stayed in. - The host Fran went above and beyond to make our stay everything we wanted. All the extras in the room were so we'll thought out. Nothing was too much trouble. Kind. Conciderat, polite, and helpful. Made to feel very comfortable. Exceptional breakfast. Would definitely stay there again. It is a fabulous place to stay.

- Alec (8/5): Very good -
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yael (9/5): exactly as expected, high quality. - great location, great food, room exactly as needed The bed could have been comfier, it was also quite creaky
- Carolyn (10/5): Exceptional - The bed was very comfortable. The towels were soft and fluffy. The tea and coffee facilities were the best I've ever seen. Kettle, coffee machine with pods, decaf tea and coffee, green tea and hot chocolate sachets. A proper mug so you could have a decent size drink. Nice extra touches in the bathroom like tissues, cotton wool and cotton buds. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of items to choose. Fran, the owner, was helpful and made it definitely feel like a home from home. Nothing - it was fabulous.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Fran very caring always on hand , never to much trouble, breakfast tasty . Parking was a problem, £16 pounds for 2 night's.
- Aussiejb (10/5): Wonderful stay in a great town - The owner Fran was wonderful to deal with before and during our stay for 4 nights. Nothing was too much trouble. Bed was large and comfortable. Bathroom was 'tight' but manageable for two smaller people like us. Stairway was also steep/narrow but this is an old building so no one should expect anything different. Breakfast options were very good and served in the room. The location is right in the middle of the town - literally on the main street (narrow lane) but quiet. Great restaurants and pub nearby, cool little shops, great atmosphere with the harbor 100 yards away. Parking (concession rate) is in Willow Car Park just before the main town and short walk away, suggest you don't try and bring the vehicle down the main street; park and wheel your luggage. Would definitely stay here again as the B&B is awesome, the town is wonderful and a great location to explore Cornwall. Nothing negative

- Jeanette (10/5): Exceptional - Fran was so lovely and helpful and made us feel very at home. She gave us great tips before we'd even arrived as well as during our stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast amazing! The location was perfect being right in the centre of the village. It could get a little bit noisy with the seagulls waking us up early in the morning! But apart from that, all was perfect.
- Karen (9/5): Great place to stay. - Had a lovely time at STone’s Throw Cottage. Facilities were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was beautifully presented and tasty. Fran was also a wonderful host. I would definitely stay again.
