- Rirhandzu (1/5): I don’t wish anyone to go there - Nothing Everything is bed
- Gabriel (10/5): - Small hotel
In the best location!
Few steps from many coffee shops, restaurant supermarket.
The room was clean and aesthetic. Way behind My expedition 😀
- Anthony (7/5): Great Facilities! But, you get what you pay for. - The location of the property is amazing. The staff was friendly, Mikhail. The host was very friendly and responsive on WhatsApp. The Window allowed for some fresh air. There was some water that was leaking from underneath the shower. The towels had some stains. The bed had some minor hair and stains in it as well.

- Robert (10/5): Prome hotel in Jerusalem's center - Mere steps, only 50 meters, from Jaffa Road, which was the route of Jerusalem's Adyolada Parade. The room was quiet, a little small, quirky but perfectly comfortable. An excellent shower! The owner and manager Gabriel addressed all our needs, even provided me with a cane as I had difficulty walking, and a chair to sit and watch the parade. Gabriel operates a drinks/candy store which is the "lobby" selling all manner of merchandise, immediately around the corner from the hotel's entrance. Nothing that we did not like!
- Lisa (10/5): Amazing place in a grest location - On arrival,we were met by Gabrielle the owner who gave us lovely warm welcome. He then kindly helped us with our bags and showed us our room.
Which was lovely and very clean. Nice size shower and a very large comfortable bed,and air conditioning which worked brilliantly on those warm nights.
This was a gem if a hotel, perfectly situated with bars and restaurants a 5 minuite walk away.
The old city was roughly a 19 minute walk....so central boutique hotel is perfectly located in my opinion. The host is one of the kindest men we have met who really went out-of his way to help us..Thank you Gabrielle.
We will definitely be coming back to stay at central Boutique..i would definitely recommend this hotel hotel for anyone visiting Jerusalem. Nothing to dislike....was an amazing stay with a great host.
- Carrillo (10/5): Well located, clean rooms, very professional staff I will keep staying in this place. - Location All is good
- Kae (9/5): comfortable. - Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. small but clean room.
- Vanna (10/5): I highly recommend this place!!! - Perfect location, very cosy and modern rooms, great service, surrounded by markets, bars and restaurants, but also quite and private Everything was perfect
- Bing (8/5): Great location - The location is superb. It is less than 10 minutes walk to the old city and 8 minutes to David Citadel Hotel where all the four buses come and pick up people. There are plenty of cafe and restaurants just outside the hotel. I was out for day trips and exploring everyday and just need a private room to sleep and rest. This hotel is My room is next to the convenient store. It seems to open 24 hours. It appears a bit noisy at night. But I assume other rooms are fine. Suggest the owner replace the small glossy window between the hotel room and the 24-hour convenient store with concrete material so that sound proof can be greatly improved.
- Haraldur (9/5): Best location - Location location location Shower room very small, reminds me to go on a diet
- John (8/5): Fun sight and sounds - Walking distance to Old City. Our first room was noisy from early morning deliveries so we asked and were changed to a quieter room. To be fair we were at downtown. Earplugs are always a good idea in every city.
- Marion (8/5): Very good - everything was good except location.
- Gennadiy (1/5): Bad - Location is good. Bed sheets were dirty, as they were not changed at all. Bath towels are so worn out that they should not be even used as rags. The walls in the bathroom were not finished with tiles. The shower is bad. We had 2 rooms, and both of them were anti sanitary. We had to ask the clerk to give us new sheets, and we made our own beds, but new sheets were a little better than the old ones. It seems like they only rinse and dry the sheets, not washing.
- Vesna (7/5): Good - Location is good. Room is on the ground floor, very dark, no sun light. There is one small window facing to the next building where outdoor AC units are installed. That area is very dirty and when the window is open it is very noisy. There is moisture on the walls in the room.
There is no reception and check in/out is in supermarket nearby.
Although it is written on booking that there is option for brekfast, breakfast can not be served.
Fortenatly there is number of cafes nearby but on Suterday they are closed.
- Victor (4/5): Disappointing - Comfortable bed,
great central location, restaurants, bars, shops nearby
Friendly staff/owners
Earlier check-in Very dark room during the day;,
Limited space, compensated partially by the high ceiling
Small, non-transparent window, overlooking to 24/7 noisy street,
No mosquito net on window- we bought additionally mosquito-repellent device
Ipen toilet in the room- between sink, wardrobe and shower cabin (in 2 Square.m area) seamed a strange solution
Stinky food remains in the fridge- was not checked prior to our arrival
We should have expected it- yet have in mind there is no room-cleaning during Shabat
- Marciankandor (9/5): Superb - Super location, nice rooms, super value Being in the heart of everything comes with the fact that sometimes you hear the city around you. But it was not too loud or noisy!
- Carrillo (9/5): Superb -
- Martin (7/5): Good -
- Natalia (4/5): Disappointing - The window was closed from outside and there was no day light in the room. It was quite cold in the room and air condition didn’t work. Noisy
- Sara (4/5): disappointing - the position Overpriced compared to the value of the room. the room is small, there is a lot of humidity, you can hear all the noises outside as it is attached to the grocery store which is open 24/7. Impossible to sleep.
Really disappointing. In addition, no one came to change the towel and clean the room.
- Shastah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eysm (9/5): Superb - The staff was very helpful in all our queries about directions. He has a 24 hours grocery that is reliable specially during Saturday. Since he has 24 hours grocery. The guys who were drunk were quite noisy at night and spend whole night in the grocery.
- Matnur (7/5): Good -
- William George (10/5): - Fantastic stay, excellent location,in the center of everything & still managed to be low key!!!!
- Vered (10/5): amazing place to stay!! - the best location at the heart of the city. walking distance from ancient city. Beautiful room design, worm and modern. the staff was most welcome with quick response even on weekend. you must visit and stay there!!
- Tara (8/5): Very good -
(4/5): Disappointing - Location was very convenient to reach restaurants, coffee shops, old city, etc. Noise was so much for 24 hours every day. I stayed the hotel for 10 days but it was hard to get deep sleep even one day. Also, the room was a semi-basement and i think it caused a high noise level.
- Bonnie Rosemarie (10/5): - The owner of the Hotel - Gabriel made the visit spectacular- helping us with tours, phones, dining and general questions - always available.
The hotel is located close to Jaffa gate - and in a very nice square with incredible dining and things to see.
The hotel is basic - but clean, up to date, well
Looked after and an excellent deal for the location. Highly recommend!!!!
- Janet (8/5): - This was a great find for me as a lone traveller wanting a couple of nights in Jerusalem. The room was petite but that was fine. A kettle provided which I always find handy (though I didn't find such a handy socket for its short flex). comfortable bed. Ensuite.
The shop runs the check in and that's handy since it's an all night shop (including Shabbat). The hotel itself is right next to the Jaffa Road and in a night life spot which was great. It's literally 5 or 10 minutes walk to the Jaffa gate and you can get the tram (light rail) to the central station (make sure you have moveit or a rav kav card!). I could go exploring and then have a break back in my room before round 2 or before dinner since the room was basically in exactly the right place!
Friday night is super quiet in Jerusalem old city and downtown. But not outside my hotel unfortunately. Car horns even until 4 am. Not the hotels fault but the second night with normal bar noise was much better!
Honestly, if you're looking for a pretty cheap but private option for exploring the old city and downtown, and can cope with some night noise (if you choose not to join in - you should join in, it's a good life!) then this is pretty good!
- Ofer (9/5): Superb -
- Gerard (6/5): - Très bruyant la nuit . Pas de téléphone filaire
- Noriel (9/5): Superb -
- Oren (9/5): Superb -
- Verified traveler (4/5): Deceiving picture - The first thing I saw was the sign of the hotel. I thought i arrived at slums. The website picture is very deceiving.
The room is very tiny and we felt we were in the basement with a small window opening nowhere.
The location is good and the host was pleasant. But this place is not worth the money.
- Inbar (10/5): - Great place to sleep
- Sasahu (2/5): - It is scary and bad area don’t go there
- Nicole (10/5): - This property is central, very clean and the people were very friendly and helpful It is a little loud with the bar nearby (they are everywhere in Jerusalem, so not sure you can avoid that anywhere) but the property does supply earplugs.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Lovely but unseasonably cold in Jerusalem - The folks were very helpful. Very central location.. It was really cold weather... The good news about that is that the local bar was quiet; the bad news about that was that the hotel could not offer a heater that adequately heated the room although they did try mightily. Very tiny room and GREAT shower and exceptionally clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5):
- maria (10/5): Great Place at a Great Price ... Would Stay Again! - Absolutely great place to stay if you are using this as a place to sleep and not as a resort. The room we had was quiet small on the street level. Just the basics: clean room, double bed, cable TV, nice shower and small refrigerator. The hotel seems to be part of a 24/7 convenience store in the front since you check in there. This is nice if you want a snack or you happen to be there on the Sabbath when a lot of places are closed. The location is fabulous, about 50 steps off of Jaffa street, the main street that is closed to cars. Only the L1 line street cars (trains) are allowed. You are literally a 10 minute walk to the old city. The train stop (Central) is 5 blocks away if you want to walk a little less. Landing in Tel Aviv, we took the high speed train to the main station in Jerusalem, walked outside, purchased a ticket in the machine and boarded the L1 train. Four stops later, we were at the Central stop, exited, walked down the little hill about 5 blocks and looked down a street to the left and saw the Super Market sign. We went into the market, checked in, walked a few steps around the corner to the entrance and that was it. We were there three nights. Since we were leaving on Saturday (Sabbath), the manager told us to stop in on Friday at the market and he would schedule a local shuttle bus ($17) to the airport since public transportation is shut down. Anyway, a good place to stay in a GREAT location. And a lot of restaurants on this street were open on the Sabbath!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Their location is superb. You have to walk a short ways to an alley after you get in your keys from The grocery store in front. All of that is not bad. well I really dislike was the seven times I asked for the television to be repaired or replaced and still nothing is done. I heard another couple complain their air conditioning was not working. When I went to the TV settings it told me that the network connection card what's the problem. That could only be that the bill was not paid for a new card.
Other than no TV the room is a really good bargain for the money and I would come here again if the the TV was in operating order.
- Douglas (2/5): Terrible Terrible terrible - Terrible they offer the worst service
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Chambre moderne, équipements récents, douche à l'italienne
- Pernille (10/5): Great location - It is not a real hotel. There are only 5 rooms and you check in at the supermarket next door. The room was very nice, the bed was good and the bathroom was nice and clean. Felt more like home than at an ordinary hotel. Very close to the old city, the tram and shops. Perfect for a few days in jerusalem. We will definitely recommend this place.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - location is so prime! If you can put up with a little noise this place is a hidden gem
- Lauritz (10/5): - The central Boutique hotel is a fantastic place to stay in the heart of Jerusalem. The old city and the market are within walking distance and the neighborhood is fantastic. The rooms are all very modern - clean, comfortable and cozy.
The hotel owner is incredibly helpful and welcoming! I wouldn’t choose any other place in Jerusalem.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Close to the old city and great local amenities - I was only in town for a day, and this place was close to everything I wanted. The market attached to the Hotel is open 24/7, and there is a cafe that is also open every day immediately next to that. The rooms had everything I needed for a pleasant stay, and were a few minutes walk to the old city. Would definitely stay again.
- Derik (10/5): Great little hotel in a great location - This in a perfect location just outside the old city. 7 minute walk to the famous Jaffa Gate (entrance to the old city). It’s a basic clean room with a comfortable queen bed. I would definitely stay here again.
- Lok Ming (8/5): Great location - Very central location where you can simply walk to the old city and marksts
- Mark (2/5): - The hotel no longer has a "front" but is now a type of small mini supermarket store. The rooms are clean and the hotel's central location means that you can walk to the Jaffa gate and also you are in downtown Jerusalem. But-this is a big BUT, the hotel is right next to a all night club with live music and drinking and screaming all hours of the night!!! If you don't need sleep and like to drink this is the hotel for you.
- Verified traveler (4/5): No thanks - The one great thing was the location. Walking distance to the Old City and minutes to many restaurants. The bad: I didn't so much mind having a window that had no view, but I had to keep the window closed because of the noise. A literally next door night club played music till the wee hours of the morning and brought un-welcomed bass tones into my room. I was so tempted to just walk out of my reservation and find another hotel, but I stuck it out because I was checking out the next day. I was only there 2 nights; the first night was manageable because I checked in very late, but the 2nd night was painful. The room also had a musty smell. I know it's an old building, but it took too long for the water to heat up and I hated wasting the water just waiting for it to warm up, so I just took a cool shower. I know I will be back in Israel, but I would never stay here again.
- Kayla (8/5): Recommended - Location was great, but street too narrow for tour buses to pick us up directly from hotel. Loved the quaintness of the room & that it offered opportunities to meet locals. Close to great restaurants and footsteps from grocery market, making it very convenient. Also, walking distance to Damascus Gate, which we really liked, also near pickup hotel location where tour buses picked us up. Wish it had had bathtub and microwave. Front desk service and daily housekeeping was excellent.
- Zadoo (4/5): Never again - There is no reception, so you have nowhere to wait or rest when you need to check out at 12 and you need leave the city sometime later. There’s a weird sickly sweet smell in the room and the bathroom (the bathroom door swings so doesn’t close completely) faces the bed directly which was extremely irritating to me. You can pick up and drop your keys in the 24 supermarket ( which is the makeshift deception ) which is extremely unprofessional. Right in front of the hotel there’s a broken pipe so there is a constant drip of water from above and therefore the front of the hotel is yucky.
The hotel is very close to many eating places and fairly close to old Jerusalem. The room and bathroom were clean. WiFi works. Way too expensive for what you get.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent hotel just off the main street that goes thru the city. Hotel staff very friendly and welcoming . Room was excellent for one nights stay. Clean and modern. Easy to get around town from.Would definetly recommend.
- Vianey (10/5): Wonderful - I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel, my room was very clean and comfortable. Staff is very helpful and nice. Location is perfect close to everything. I will definitely stay in this hotel again.
- Mike (8/5): Clean hotel near Jerusalem’s Old City - The Central Boutique Hotel,is in a great location, a short walk from Jaffa Street. While the rooms are small, and the bathroom smaller, it’s location and cleanliness makes it attractive. The only drawback is that is next to a nightclub that has loud music at night on weekends, and alley lights that need to be addressed. The music and noise often lasts until 3am on the nights that they are open.
- Michael (6/5): Basic lodging - Map on Expedia site wrong. Location actually better right off Yafo St. Not really a hotel-this is a room which is managed by grocery market attendant (who was very pleasant). Great location. Ear plugs a must (provided). ‘Boutique’ a bit of a stretch.
- Verified traveler (8/5): helpful staff to get a sherut to airport - xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
- Bradley (10/5): Brilliant hotel. - Everything went smoothly at check in and check out, The staff were friendly and the hotel contained everything we needed for our stay.
- Julia (10/5): Love it - Small room but super nice n cozy
- Paul (10/5): - Pretty good experience. Noise didn't bother as apart from very early Saturday morning revellers. Well we could have used the supplied earplugs
- Jane (2/5): Great location bu that’s it - - a lot of noise from the street (they provide ear plugs!)
- tv not working with no support from the staff
- Verified traveler (2/5): Very small do not stay Friday nite ! - Cannot sleep in this room as it's next to a night club and all nite people talking loud. Room is tiny but very clean. Close to the old city.
- Aurora (10/5): In Heart of It All - Our stay at Central Boutique was outstanding and far exceeds my expectations of a Hotel stay. As world wide travelers we have experienced several hotel stays and by far this is the Best Hotel Location stay we have ever experienced. We Thank Gabriel and His staff for accommodating us from Car rentals, mapping locations of the Beautiful City of Jerusalem so that we can visit and surroundings of all Israel. We are grateful for the daily upkeep of our rooms. Always fresh and clean. We are very grateful to your staff for taking good care of us answering questions that we may have had at the time of our stay, Todah ( Thank you ). Central Hotel boutique is the prime location for all who enjoy a the heart of the city, the night life, the eateries on Yaffa Street.
- Belle and Josie (8/5): Very Good location - Accomodating staff. We were able to understand each other although there is communication barrier because some staff cannot understand english and we cannot also understand their language.
