• Lori (9/5): Great place and value! - Great place! Modern room. Owner was so kind. Bed was hard but the room was great. The road is really busy and dangerous to cross the street by foot. Recommend having transportation to stay here.

• Daniel (9/5): Superb - I've stayed here a couple of times this year and it's always clean and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and clean. Good location, short drive away from Chaweng, Bangrak, Fishermans Village, Maenam etc.
• Piater (9/5): Great value for money - Great value for money, spacious room, clean and comfortable. Very kind and helpful owner. You can rent motorbikes at the hotel for 200 baht per 24h, which is cheap for ko samui. There is a 7eleven 2 min by foot. We came mainly for diving, so the gecko hotel was the perfect option for us. The location is right at the main road and so was our room quite loud, Cafés, the next bight market and restaurants are about 15-20 min by foot away. With the motorbikes however it is easy to access every part of the island.
• Bailey (9/5): Great shower and plenty of space! - Well sized bed, room and balcony with one of the best showers I’ve came across in Thailand. Pepe the receptionist was very helpful with details about the airport and also renting out a moped which you can do with the hotel for a very reasonable price. Air-con worked very well and room also included two complimentary bottles of water each day found in the fridge. Bed was slightly hard.
• Scott (3/5): Stay elsewhere. There are better options nearby for a similar price that are a much better value. - The property is on a main road, which is convenient if you have a motorbike. There aren’t any restaurants or anything within easy walking distance, so renting a motorbike is essential if you stay here. My room was on the top floor facing a busy street. The traffic noise was audible at all times, so if this bothers you then this may not be a good option for you. The air conditioner takes 3-4 hours to reach the target temperature, and the room has one of those devices that shuts off the power to everything unless the key is inserted into the device inside the door, so your first few hours in the room will always be warm. I’ve stayed at several similarly-priced places on Koh Samui that didn’t force the air conditioner to be off when the guest is absent. I tried using the WiFi to make a video call and the connection wasn’t up to the challenge.

Only thing is the location being on a main road (this did not keep up us at night though and was quiet) and there not being much to do in walking distance but we knew this prior to booking and hired a moped so it was not far to the fisherman’s village - this was not a problem for us.

• Katariina (4/5): You can find better with this cost - Bathroom was rather modern and the room itself was quite spacious. The sound of traffic was way too loud and it was hard to sleep. The bed was horrible because you could feel the mattress springs and every movement made an annoying sound.

Lovely owner - Aircon was very bad, we were uncomfortably warm at night (only place in a Thailand that we had this problem) - when we arrived we weren’t able to check in, had to ring owner to come meet us at the accommodation - bed was quite uncomfortable & cutlery was dirty - location is only good if you rent a bike (Taxi to restaurants expensive)

Recently, I accidentally left my wallet on the bed when I checked out, and the hotel owner found it and returned it to me intact. The act of returning the wallet with all its contents demonstrates the high level of integrity and professionalism. It is a testament to the hotel's commitment to providing a safe and secure environment for its guests. I am truly grateful for the honesty and reliability displayed by the hotel owner. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking not only excellent service and comfortable accommodations but also a sense of trust and honesty.

The property is by a main road but the sound proofing is good quality so it’s not an issue. We’ve been travelling for a while, staying in many different places and can say this is definitely one of our better stays.

Gave good tips for things to do around the island and recommendations for future stays. I would definitely come back here. It's also a very convenient location if you have your own car or motorbike. Close to everything I needed to reach during my stay there. I dont have any dislikes for the place, but the site is asking for things I didn't like. Bit awkward but hey, review systems eh. Dunno, would be cool if the place had breakfast option. And maybe they do in the high season.
