- Jasmine (10/5): Beautiful location, warm staff and clean facilities - My second time staying here, the staff are super friendly, everything is really clean. Beautiful location! Great to have a little shop on site. River sounds nice and relaxing. Pool is clean. -
- Imogen (9/5): - Awesome campsite, great facilities and super clean
- simon (8/5): Relaxed clean and friendly with good value - Great value and excellent for boating
- Hinewai (10/5): We stayed the night as a group of us were doing the bay run in Pahia. Was a perfect place to stay - Great for a group of people had every thing you needed
- AMIRIA (10/5): - The room space, kitchen facilities and bathroom facilities were great for my whānau. The laundry service requires a lot of drying time. Which made it longer for myself
- Othilie (6/5): -
- Corsbie (9/5): - The facilities are all great nice and clean. Great that our dogs could come too 😊 all the staff were friendly. Nice touch with the pet stations whilst you're cooking etc. A mirror in the cabin would be a great addition. We just purchased one from the dollar shop. The kids even had an autumn dip in the swimming pool. It's a lovely place to go for a getaway. We stayed in a newly renovated cabin, which has been done nicely. However just for me the double bed under the single bed, the style was claustrophobic, but luckily the sofa was a sofa bed so we slept on that 🙂 We were a bit far from the ladies toilets, for me and my daughter. Definitely would request one closer next time.
- Filip (7/5): - The staff was very friendly with late booking, and check in! We did not see that the chosen cabin did not include linen, therefore we slept without. Our fault.
- Nardia (10/5): The best little holiday park to keep the kids busy! - Amazing set up for the kids with pool and playground. Very friendly and kind staff always there to help if needed. Although nice and clean the bathrooms could be updated in the cabins
- Tumai56 (10/5): - I love the location and scenery No air con bcs can't open the doors at night too many bugs lol.

- Julie (10/5): A family friendly cabin park with great facilities. - Beautiful grounds around the cabin park, with pool and games, as well as proximity to the stream. Very quiet at night too.
- Andrews (8/5): Had an absolutely wonderful time and will definitely be returning! - Playground was amazing! And the shower facilities weren’t flash but had constant good pressure, hot water, clean and no timer.
Was provided with a fan and heater however the room was warm and dry on its own.
Super pet friendly, our big dog enjoyed the space.
Was safe during a storm, the river rose but the campground is high enough that it didn’t affect anything much. The mattresses weren’t the most comfortable but for the price, not really a complaint!

- Jeanette (5/5): Average, but ok if on a budget. A long way out of town - Reasonable value for money Nobody to greet us on arrival, kitchen facilities confusing had locked cupboard with very little crockery. Very dated facilities
- Jo (10/5): -
- Sharon (10/5): Perfect base for family and friends close enough to all the sights but far enough away to be able to just chill - We had a 2 bedroom cabin which was perfect for our needs. Spotlessly clean and had everything we needed.
- Rihari (10/5): - The communal facility The bathroom
- June (10/5): Very convenient location. - The unit was clean and location very handy. Staff always friendly and helpful. My third time here and will continue to book here when needed. Games room could do with an up grade.
- HT Security Limited (6/5): - The location was great. Receptionist friendly and welcoming. You get what you pay for.

- May (7/5): Comfortable and clean - Good set up for whanau Location from Waitangi especially on Waitangi was too far for work purposes
- Betty (10/5): We will definitely be back - Everything The laundry wait 4+hours
- Betty (10/5): We definitely will be back again. Our children didn’t wanna leave and I’m already looking at booking for September - Our family had never stayed or some of us had never been to paihia before.
It was a family oriented place, our babies enjoyed it.
The pool, park making new friends to play with.
The play room it had everything the kids could want they never got board.
We had family come visit and have a bbq with us.
The bbq pizza cooking area was so cool and heaps of room for everyone at the camp site. The laundry wait was ages.
- Benjamin (6/5): A lovely spot with cabins that needed some upgrading in terms of aesthetics, parking and security. - I liked the holiday park overall. It was safe and pleasant. The staff were nice. The cabin was old and hadn't been significantly renovated. One of the windows didn't lock in cabin 2 which was a security concern and the carpark in front of the unit had quite a dip in front of it which led to us parking further down which then led to a disagreement with the occupants of cabin 1 about parking.
- Marc (8/5): -
- Wendy (8/5): - Beautiful setting.
Great staff.
Awesome facilities Nothing
- Erica (10/5): A break from it all without the boredom… - This property was amazing ! We stayed in the Yurt for two nights, fabulous views the river is relaxing even with a mix of weather over the weekend, friendly staff and helpful updates on Facebook over conditions after the storm… we will definitely be back… heaps of amenities and things for kids to do. All the pictures on the website are exactly how it looks. Great location There was nothing we didn’t love

- Crystal (10/5): Loved it! Our family will be back again ☺️ - Friendly staff, clean facilities. Lots of things for the kids to do.
- Agnes (8/5): - Pool, playground, roofed seating areas, barbecue, common room. Many toilets and showers, very clean, fridges and freezers enough space. kitchen, fridge in our cabin, good location to west-and eastcoast, cape reinga, russel.... Staff very nice, WiFi was in our room. curtain in room to make beds darker, bin in front of the door matress could be harder for me. kitchen could do with newer and more pots and pans, as well as sharp knives. often the towels were wet ( people used them wrong), showers only one temperature: for my little one too hot, for me: cold shower in summer would be great. maybe small table for outside the cabin
- Dijo (9/5): -
- Maria Helena 1982 (8/5): - Good place for big family gathering. Relaxed atmosphere. Lots of showers and toilets kept very tidy. Kitchen facilities are very basic and shared, with limited dishware -- but there are restaurants a short drive away.
- FAITH (9/5): -
- Astra (10/5): - I loved this because we were able to have our dog with us 10/10. It was lovely and clean and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. You just needed blankets and food if cooking there. Kitchen had everything you needed. Showers were great. Kitchen and toilets were close. The pool table was no longer able to be used which my son did not like but he did like the deep pool.
- Michael (7/5): -
- Andre (9/5): Relaxing stay at great family campsite - Excellent cabin accommodation in campsite with outside deck to relax on after a days sightseeing. Large rooms with everything you needed. Great facilities. Nothing
- Steve (8/5): -
- Gina (8/5): -
- Matiaha (9/5): -
- Deepak (10/5): -
- Rebekah (10/5): Will be back again sometime - Everything was amazing and our kids loved it too , cool kitchen , TV lounge & gaming room was enjoyable
- Ann (8/5): - Staff and Peacefulness ....
- Robinson (10/5): -
- Shannon (10/5): - Everything was clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly. Comfortabke beds. Great activities for the kids. A river, swimming pool, table tennis. The bunk rooms were stifling hot. Very hard to sleep.
- Gina (9/5): Whānau holiday Bay of Islands - Has everything you need here, the communal eating and bbq area are awesome and plenty of tables and chairs. A laundry room that doesn't close. Cool game lounge with table tennis. The swimming pool is very well used from the time it opens, to the closing. I think with how the weather had been, 30C°+, the pool should've stayed open later than 8pm, just my opinion.
- Alice (7/5): -
- Tamara (9/5): - Perfect location for us, the grounds were awesome tooo. So many things to do on the property with our kids 👍👍 ...
Our room was good too had everythibg essential that we wanted . The hours for the pool was the only down fall for our whanau. 10am till 8pm was abit early for us as its day light savings it would have been great to have the hours extended to 10pm .
- Tracey (8/5): Great campsite - Lots of showers and toilets. Beds comfortable. Having a fridge in room. Good facilities. Rooms were hot, but fan was provided.
- Stowers (8/5): -
- Amila (6/5): If looking for a budget place its ok - Staff was friendly and helpful Room was very small and right next to the main road so you hear the vehicle noise. During the day its very hot inside and no AC provided. Shared toilets and shower facilities are dated and smelly, and some are not clean properly.
- Volker (10/5): Wunderschöne Urlaubstage in Bay of Islands - Vor allem die äußerst freundliche und zuvorkommende Rezeptionistin, sehr hilfreich und nett! Wir hatten nichts zu klagen!
- Tiffany (5/5): Could be better - The kids liked the pool and the playground The showers were cold and unfortunately there was someone there that decided to spray paint racist comments on the walls. The staff did however clean it up quickly but it did make me feel a little uncomfortable.
- Treena (8/5): -
- Frank (6/5): Sub-par 2 bedroom units - The campground was quite spacious, with a beautiful river running through on one side. The 2br unit was not very clean, the carpet was especially dirty, and there was a smell inside the unit. It was also very hot inside without air-conditioning. There are electric fans provided, but there are no power socket in one of the bunk rooms to connect it.
- Schuller (10/5): -
- Anne (10/5): Perfect for what we needed - Easy to find, tidy beautiful grounds, lovely to see all the dogs either their families. Amazing helpful staff
- Andrea (10/5): -
- Claude (1/5): -
- Eric (7/5): Clean - We stayed in a cabin, which was clean and well located to all amenities. The shower/toilet blocks are very clean for a holiday park. They provided our own cutlery/crockery supplies for the camp kitchen. Easy walk down to the river. Very hot inside the cabin at night (we stayed here at the beginning of January). Not enough powerpoints (in the cabin) to go around for 4 people. Ovens are provided in the camp kitchen (as are all other kitchen facilities you’d expect), but there was a distinct lack of baking trays. The wifi can be patchy.
- Matt (8/5): - Cabins were clean It was real noisy after 10 pm and was hard to fall asleep
- Dheeraj Pooja (10/5): -
- Sanjay (8/5): -
- Jose (7/5): -
- Bolormaa (6/5): Clean cabin, but sleepless night - It was clean. I stayed in the cabin only for one night and barely had a sleep. The constant ongoing noise from the utility room (washing machine?) in next door to our cabin was hard to sleep. The residents or guests on the other side of this joint cabin were too noisy from 11pm till 2AM (load speaking & kind of loud banging noises on the floor--- unloading stuff ? ). We left around 7am.
Out of 3 light bulbs on the wall near the top of the window, 2 was not working. Because of it, there was not enough light in the cabin. A little fan on the floor was not efficient & needed to open the window in the evening (mosquitoes were coming). The Wi-fi was too slow to use it. Somehow we expected better condition from a 4 star holiday park. However, I do acknowledge we did not use any other facilities at this holiday park.
- Taihape (10/5): - Everything I'll definitely be back to stay All was good
- Tau (10/5): -
- Ahilash Abby (10/5): Perfect experience. Will visit again for sure. - Easy access, friendly staff, clean. N/A
- Waina (9/5): -
- Tau (10/5): -
- Janyka (8/5): -
- ELODIE (7/5): - Personnel très agréable. Bon emplacement pour Paihia -Russel et les Haruru Falls. Espace collectif, cuisines, sanitaires, salle de jeu etc. Très mal entretenu par les voyageurs du moment.
- Kasey (8/5): - Happy place, with may people holiday in happily together. The WiFi was limited
- Rob (10/5): -
- Kelly (8/5): Me and my family love this holiday park - Pool and lovely staff No towels but could hire them
- Terrilee (9/5): Will be back again 2026 - Kids love the pool, mum loved the big kitchen and cooking facilities, dad loved the beds 😑 Probably that there was only 2 dryers and a lot of people waiting to use them all at once.
