Guest Reviews
- Young (7/5): -
- Andrew (1/5): - Other than the staff being polite thats about it. Way out dated.. My sheets were nasty with what i assume was makeup all over them with the comforter tucked in over it. The bathroom hadnt been properly cleaned in ages. There was grime and build up everywhere. The door had to be kicked in order to latch and lock. The list goes on and on. Cr**k motel (literal).. I wish i had taken pictures to post.

- Rajendra (2/5): - Dirty
- Duong (10/5): - Very goood
- TaMicka (1/5): -
- Angelo (1/5): Disgusting and unsanitary - Absolutely nothing Everything from the bathroom to the room was nasty and outdated, there was blood on the sheets, burn holes in the pillows, and a major infestation
- Brittany (10/5): - WiFi suck
- Brittany (4/5): - The wifi don’t work like that
- jamie (2/5): - not a good place to stay
- Carmen (4/5): - No
- William (10/5): I would not recommend this room at all. - There credit card machine didn't work and they couldn't take a visa. Didn't have any towels in the room
- Preston (1/5): i felt like i was camping on the walking dead. - the floor was dirty and there was a bullet hole in our motel door to our room also there was blood stains on the beds and linens
- Cody (2/5): - Worst place ever. Do not stay here.
- Tom (2/5): - This place is not a place i would send an enemy of mine to, the room has no plugs to speak of, no shampoo, no nightstand, no chair in the room, the TV is old, the door doesn’t close the right way and the neighborhood is not the best as you are in danger of your life. Need I say more, dont go there!!!!!!!!!!
- Patrick (2/5): Horror Show - To begin - we did NOT stay at this motel. We felt that we would not be safe there and ended up sleeping on the floor of someone else's hotel room. We took one look at this room and turned our key back in. The motel is refusing to give us $200 back and Hotels.com is refusing to help. They claim that they try to provide the best places for their customers. If that's true, they should remove this listing form their site. This dump is basically a rundown motel in a bad part of town. It doesn't even technically have a road that leads up to it. You have to turn into a mangled parking lot, drive across it, and pull up to the building past the piles of garbage. The "lobby" or managers office smells like a pet store. There was a birdcage in there but no bird. Hopefully, it had escaped long ago or died. The door to the room faced the street, and we had to shove it opened it get in. The inside looked like a scene from a David Lynch movie. The TV was on but on mute, and the room was very dark with ancient furnishing. Absolutely the creepiest room I've ever seen. The shower had a sliver of used soap in it but nothing more. Just unacceptable at any price. The concierge at the Sherton said that Gordon Highway is an unacceptable part of town she would not be caught dead in. This is experience was so bad I will never return to Augusta, Georgia. Hopefully, my credit card company will help me out.
- Laura (2/5): - Unacceptable with broken deadbolt on door, missing light fixtures, etc…
No one at front desk after 6 and an in room curfew on premises by 8pm !!!
Could not spend 1 night there.
- Jason (2/5): - There were homeless individuals around the hotel.
- Osceola (1/5): Would never go back there - No breakfast, bad location Staff, room, location ,everything
- Gwendolyn (10/5): Staff was excellent, but the hotel needs some serious TLC and updates. The bedding was badly tattered. The rooms need to - I didn’t. The location, the rooms, and the weird men watching my every move.
- Dalvin (10/5): - I love the customer service very good people here that love their job
- Taylor (1/5): Bad -
- Whitney (2/5): - I didn’t stay at the place I called and I’m waiting for somebody from your team to give me a call back. The hotel was not the hotel that you had online. It was a drug trafficking hotel. The rooms were very dirty bedbugs and everything and they didn’t have no locks on the door.
- Judy (1/5): Horrible. - No breakfast available. TV didn't work. Took 2 hours to get it fixed. Very nasty. Cleaner. Bed was very old, thin and lumpy. Smelled like cigarettes. Burn marks everywhere
- charlie (2/5): - This was the worst hotel. I believe I’ve ever stayed in. I travel for work and have never seen a hotel this bad. The pictures that are on the website does not match the hotel at all. It doesn’t look like it’s been updated since the early 2000s they are stains and marks all over the place, I recommend staying away from This hotel
- Ijanea (1/5): Bad -
- Jonathon (1/5): Bad - Nothing, couldn't even check in The fact that my time was wasted making a booking to arrive and never be waited on at the front desk
- Juluar (6/5): Old hotel - The water pressure was low the location wasnt great like it was in a bad place want be back
- Tian (2/5): - The doors for all the rooms I tried were broken. None of TV functioning. I tried to call Orbitz, but phone# not found.
- Amber (2/5): - Worst hotel we have have seen. Could not even stay the night.
- Matt (2/5): - The photos on the site were not of this property. It shows a nice hotel with indoor corridors. This is a motel with outside doors. There are stab marks in the refrigerator and the walls. Water dripped all night. Refrigerator is covered in either rust or mold. Sheets are full of cigarette burn holes.
- George (2/5): Movie scene stay - We did not stay we left immediately when we got approached but very indecent bystanders around the property
- Jamie (1/5): Worst place ever i and that say alot - Nothing 1. Don't got locks on the door.
2.drug and meth head all
3. Room was smells
4 bathroom wont clean
5 don't have no lock on the door ain't a safe place
6 did I said it don't come wit locks.
- hamid (2/5): - The property in the picture is not the property you are going to. The actual property is old and dirty and smells. The area is not good. The sheets were dirty and had cigarette burns in them. Only one towel and one washcloth was issued per room not per person. They are fraudulently advertising a beautiful building what you’re getting into is dirty and nasty. Also, when we attempted to get a refund because we only stayed one of the two nights because it was so disgusting they would not respond back to us Expedia to provide us a refund . So not only do they lie, but they steal your money.
- Kim (1/5): The Crack Inn - That was absolutely nothing about this place that I liked. I actually left a day early because it was horrendous. The facility was dirty. It smelled bad. The staff was disrespectful. I was actually cursed out by the night manager for asking for clean towels and washcloths. Was told that they only provide one towel and one washcloth per couple. The bed was uncomfortable. The pillows were flat. The sheets were dirty. The TV didn't work. But I was told that there is no refund. So I left a day early and went and got a good room from somewhere else. I will never recommend this place. This place should be taken off of booking.com. there were drug sales being made right outside of my room. And the night manager threatened to do me harm. She should definitely be removed from the premises.
- Melvin (2/5): - Room was filthy look like a crack house I have pictures and videos I ended up no staying room was disgusting unbelievable would like my money back it is un acceptable nothing like what they show online very disappointed will contact the better business bureaus unsafe at all
- David (2/5): Hotel Hell is alive and Well at Budget Inn - Hotel Hell..After being without power or water since 9/24 and not wanting to bother my neighbors again, I decided to treat myself to a nice hot shower in a hotel. That didn't happen..First, couldn't find my reservation when I got there, took 20 mins to check in, Key card didn't work, the guy they sent with me to open it with master key offered to sell me drugs. The room only had one working light when you first walked in, no bulbs in lamps, No TV in the room and bathroom door had no handle and no lock. Showered with curtain open and chair against the entry door. I was terrified. Total Trap House. Forgot to mention, no hot water. I paid $85 for a cold shower. Dried my self off, dressed and hauled ass to my car, when I figured had been stolen by that point. I couldn't get away fast enough. Disgusting.
- james (2/5): Rough area - Rough area of town. Didn't feel safe.
- Youreen (2/5): - Arrived and there was no room available
- Indira (2/5): - It’s nasty they had trash everywhere . The door was broken . It smelt like mothballs . I found mold in the shower .
- Linwood (2/5): - Rooms are completely disgusting. Bedding may have been washed, but old and stained. Bath linens had black stains throughout. Mold on the ceiling. Lamps with no shades some with no lightbulbs. TV had no connection. WiFi did not work. Floors were sticky. Painted ceiling was peeling. Key did not work - had to get clerk to open the door for us every time we wanted to get in the room.
Lobby was dirty. Staff lounged on the only couch. Worst place I’ve ever stayed.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Bad no breakfast wifi bad alot of crack head hang around the hotel not safe
- Verified traveler (2/5): - No breakfast no wifi
- Verified traveler (2/5): - It's was not so good no breakfast no wifi
- Whitney (10/5): - .
- Locs (4/5): Wasn’t impressed - Location Towels looked horrible
- Whitney (10/5): - clean room
- Sanchez (1/5): Please change the picture - Picture on the app is false, it was a scam, yhey charged me one night and I never stayed I didn't like anything
- Everett (2/5): Very poor - Not the hotel pictured
- Martin (1/5): The worst hotel I've been in - I liked when I left that place Nothing was cleaned, someones belongings were left behind in the room (we didn't touch them it was just a kid's toy) and there were drug addicts all over the parking lot. And not to mention the bathroom was very dirty and not usable. I got the hotel to shower and sleep and the shower was unusable.
- Matthew (2/5): - Drug users and dealers everywhere, neighborhood was unsafe. Not to mention the floor was soaking wet the next morning from the ac leaking over night. The room was smelly and disgusting. The pictures on here if the motel are very deceiving doesn't look like that at all.
- Broderick (10/5): Great place. - It’s an awesome place to stay.
- Sagunda (5/5): Passable - Room was very clean bed was very comfortable ( bottom floor in the front) There was no cable so you couldn't watch TV and the wifi sucked so bad you might as well say they didn't have that either. Oh yeah and the toilet seat was smaller than the actual toilet
- Verified traveler (2/5): Don’t stay here - It was horrible nothing worked, the ac leaked and had water everywhere, no towels, fridge didn’t work, Wi-Fi didn’t work, cable didn’t work and bathroom lights didn’t work, worst experience ever I want my money back
- Vic (6/5): - It’s an older property that hasn’t seen a lot of maintenance, but it was clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the price was right.
- Danyel (2/5): - It was just old looking. The bed was hard.
- Oglesby (1/5): Booking.com fraudulent advertising - Absolutely nothing😠😡 The photos, amenities, and facilities advertised on Booking.com for Budget Inn Express 1616 Gordon Hwy Augusta; GA are FRAUDULENT.
- Jason (4/5): False amenities - When I booked my room here it said that the hotel had contenential breakfast that was offered as an amenity and as a general rule when a place list a television in the room, there is usually some programming hook on to the TV, whether it be satelitte, cable,or at the very least antenna TV programming, but when i got to my room and turned on my TV it just said "no programming provided". To top it all off, when i got to the room the air conditioner wasnt on at all so it was unbearable hot and musty in there, and it took at least an hour to start to cool down enough to be comfortable. When you list a hotel as having ameneties and allow people to book those rooms, you should provide some sort of refund if those things arent provided. I only had one night in a room in the past four days because Im always on the road for work and I had that night and morning ruined by false promises of amentities that were not even offered much less provided regularly.
- Gochett (6/5): Pleasant -
- Gochett (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sherrillsr (6/5): Pleasant -
- Donnie (1/5): Bad - The one manager “ma” and the maintenance man were both the best parts of the stay. The room. The stairs. No elevator. The owners were rude and mean and they kicked us out a day early because they didn’t explain their policies.
- Snow (1/5): I would never pay to stay here again - Microwave start button didn’t work so couldn’t use it
- Donnie (1/5): Bad - The one older manager and the maintenance man. The owners and the room.
- Felicia (1/5): I got a refun - It’s was nasty the picture online is not the hotel we went to there was mold in rooms stains in walls there were drug spoons in the parking spots Nasty
- Mayieka (1/5): Bad - I liked nothing at all about this room ,it was a terrible experience in my life. everything falling apart, staff seems to be on drugs, dirty rooms, everything falling apart and worst of all the rooms have mold and they double charged me terrible experience. This facility needs to be closed down.
- Brandy (1/5): We didn't stay after seeing the bullet holes and druggie all over property. - Easy to book Bullet holes in door and drug addicts everywhere on property. My son was threatened. We didn't stay in the room we paid for. Instead we left and found a well lit parking lot and slept in our car. Truly a disgusting drug riddled budget inn
- Nicholas (10/5): - Parking lot security was great!!!
- John (8/5): - Room are being renovated and look great. Very clean
- Stephen (6/5): - I didn't stay there long enough to provide an opinion. The owner was extremely helful.
- Ralph (2/5): - I don't know how you can charge somebody.Almost $200 or room. The door barely shuts the bathroom exhaust fan.Don't work the hotel's stonk of like mildew. The bathroom was disgusting AC barely worked.it was a just a joke
- Samantha (1/5): Bad - Great pillows Everything else.
- Kimberly (8/5): Good place to stay - Perfect place to stay for Masters Golf Tournament.
- Amanda (1/5): Will never stay there again - The room was very dirty
- Carlos (2/5): - The pictures on website are deceiving. Nothing compared to the property or room. Broken AC. Dirty floor bathrooms. Grime in the corners. Smelled like cigarette smoke. It was a roach motel Very deceiving.
- marc (2/5): - What an absolute dump. No clock. Light fixture by bed did not work. Towels smelled rancid. Damaged vehicle parked by front door under awning when raining.
- Bettina (1/5): Horrible - The staff was very nice and pleasant. The room was absolutely disgusting. Smells bad. The ceiling had water stains everywhere. The ac wasn't working right. The bathroom was horrible. Shower was not working right. The bathroom door had been kicked in before so couldn't close it. The floors were dirty. The sheets had stains on them. So we used a blanket we had in the car. Power outlets didn't keep plugs in. Worst overnight stay in my life.
- Gary (1/5): pictures of the place online looked nothing like it did in reality. Checked in went to the room walked right back out ch - Nothing Dirty filthy stink
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible experience!!!! - With my itinerary shown at desk they said they were under renovation and didn’t have rooms left. That is HORRIBLE to have good customers. I willNOT be going through hotels.com again!
- Karmeisha (2/5): - Not happy with my experience… It was a huge inconvenience and mix up we waited for over an hour to ensure check in
- Joan (10/5): Awful - There was no hot water no tv and no trash cans. The door had to be slammed to lock and the room was never cleaned and they would not switch it out
- Arthur (10/5): - Good
- Karen (4/5): - For the same price I went to a family owned place that cares about their customers. Try the West Bank Inn about 1/2 mile up the road.
