There was a continental breakfast that was fine, nothing fancy, but adequate. They also gave us 2 complimentary wine/cider/beer tastings in their winery which was a nice gesture. The staff was very helpful with questions and recommendations. And there is a bar with pub fare and a restaurant on the premises as well. We would visit again

We choose a room with a spa tub and fireplace overlooking the water. Winery gave us a nice afternoon without traveling. We are looking forward to a return visit.. Really had no real dislikes. Place is nicely cared for, staff was friendly and such a relaxing time.

Room was excellent with a jacuzzi tub. Also large walk-in shower, and two vanities which was a bonus. There are restaurants on site. View from 2nd floor is amazing over the lake. It was very quiet too. Tv quite quite small for room. Very poor continental breakfast. Not very comfortable bed - very soft.

Also it would be nice to offer the guests a carafe of the spigot wine available in the castle rooms as another amenity. Fireplace insert seems too large for the actual fireplace. Smelled gas. Co2 monitor went off. Beautiful view from the room!

- Caroltravels (8/5): A Great Weekend Getaway - Location is beautiful, everything is convenient and close proximity. Staff were lovely. The rooms were extremely large and open. The bed was comfortable. The fireplace was nice although we couldn't turn it on. The view from the room was great! From the reviews and online we expected the facilities to be much larger. We felt the rooms could use updating including the furniture and carpeting. A fresh coat of paint and update the prints on the wall would make a world of difference. The furniture would be better replaced with antique pieces or reproductions in keeping with the atmosphere of the castle. Although you wouldn't want to make the rooms super modern however they are definitely right out of the 90s. Perhaps the rooms in the castle area may be different than the ones in the main building however we never saw the inside.

The grounds were beautiful---room in the Inn was awesome---The Tavern had good food the complimentary breakfast was just ok-----everything was wrapped tight ---the only item to be toasted were wrapped up plain bagels----Also there was wrapped up tight small muffins---6 oz. juice cans---bananas and apples in a bowl--cereal in its pre packaged containers-----yogurt-------I have had better complimentary breakfasts at Days Inn etc, with much less $ for a room. They could do better.---coffee and tea-i ---- wrapped tight creamers---------------Being a solo traveler, the tavern was not sitting me down at a table ( they said waiting time was at least for one hour, but there were empty tables-------so the gal called me in my room when a seat at the bar was available------which was very comfortable and enjoyable The wine tasting was not enjoyable-----Again, being solo I was dismissed, explaining the details of the wine tasting was absent, and got scolded for testing the cheese before tasting wine and not eating the correct cheese--lol---BTW, none of that was explained to me, as I mentioned I was dismissed---------I did end up buying two bottles of Neptune, a sweet white wine

Room: dated - the decor was dated , paint splatter was on the picture frames . If you have allergies the old carpet will cause you issues. Breakfast - no options - Prepackaged snack size muffins , Instant oatmeal( maple brown sugar),of brand cereals , plain bagel , grape jelly, and snack size mixed fruit in heavy syrup. There were limited healthy options and no variety.

- Landers (1/5): Was the worst experience ever want a refund - I had the worst experience in my life I liked absolutely have nothing good to say about it What could of been better is the people at the front desk personally opened my room to let someone in that wasn't on the check in slip and when I went to go in my room I couldn't cause it was locked from the inside. I went to front desk and that is when I found out that they let someone in my room they then tried to open the door and couldn't and told me there was nothing they could do

- Amber (10/5): It was truly a wonderful experience - I loved how great everyone was to accommodate us and how the room we stayed in was so comfortable and had a beautiful view of the lake. It truly was a beautiful experience and I would love to stay again in the future. I would have liked it better if there had been better breakfast options rather than just the select few things. Due to there being so little to choose from my husband and I ended up getting breakfast somewhere else after we checked out
- Karen (2/5): Disappointing, sub-standard, surly staff - Comfortable bed, nice jacuzzi, lovely location. Malory at the tavern was lovely. For what you pay, this is sub-standard and downright poor quality. Breakfast in a castle overlooking a lake… eating off paper plates, paper cups, prepackaged bad quality food. In the rooms, the linens were rough, the coffee was awful, and the toiletries were dreadful. Supper at the Stonecutters Tavern was equally dreadful - goopy chowder and an inedible soggy turkey panini. Apart from Malory, our server, the other staff were inattentive and unhelpful. Overall I’d never recommend this place!

Not sure if propane or mold or both. It’s almost impossible to sit in or stay in lobby for more than a few minutes. The rooms have very old and kind of disgusting carpeting.
- Karin (7/5): Poor value for money - Location is great. Rooms are large. The hotel is overpriced and needs an update. The dinner was barely edible and the service was poor. Breakfast was also poor with few healthy food choices

- John (10/5): Great room and people ! - The room was wonderful, and the staff very nice. The fireplace did not work. A new unit was in place and it was too large for the opening. I reported to the staff, and they told me they were awarae. No accommodation was offered ( rate reduction, gift certificate). The fireplace was a specific request upon booking as the trip was a romantic get away. The toasters (2), for the morning breakfast were not working. Many people were upset.
- Anne (3/5): Very disappointed, would not recommend. - I liked the view of the lake, sitting by Seneca lake on the benches. Dinner at the castle was very good. Loved the old wood work of the castle that was maintained. 1. My room was dirty, looked like someone threw up on the bathroom door, and was not cleaned. Dust on the desk chair. Garbage was not taken out of my room on day 2 when I put out the sign for my room to be cleaned. 2. There was a wedding party having their wedding there, which is an awesome place to have it, but I did not appreciate members of the wedding party giving me dirty looks, when I was attempting to walk around them when leaving dinner at the castle. Nor did I appreciate the wedding party running around the Inn and castle in short Kamino robes as if they owned the place. I feel if there is a wedding, the Inn/castle should be closed to other guest due to inconsideration of the wedding the wedding party (maybe other wedding parties are not that rude). 3. For the price of the room, I feel that hot continental breakfast should have been included. Was very disappointed especially since I have dietary restrictions and could not have anything but a coffee and yogurt.
- Thomas (10/5): Had a great night and the grounds were beautiful. It was good that all the rooms faced the lake view - A waffle maker would have been excellent. The cold drinks were good, I don't do coffee. Wife does do Tea.
