• DEBORAH (8/5): Cool spot. Delightful staff, room a bit dark and airless. - Shione at the reception was delightful and extremely helpful. She made our stay better! Downstairs the design and shops, bar and restaurant were fabulous. We enjoyed wine overlooking the water and a delicious fish meal. The room didn’t have a window and was hot and way too dark. Whilst I appreciate this might be their ‘design concept’ I think it would be much more pleasant and make for an easier stay if this decor wasn’t so awfully dark!

The customer service was especially great, even ensuring that my daughter’s allergy were shared with the restaurant. Both dinner and breakfast were also fantastic. Love this place and the customer service provided by the young lady at the front desk. We wish we stayed longer!

Unfortunately fumes from the ships at the dock inundated our room during the night.

• Sarah (9/5): Vélo et détente à Onomichi - Un hôtel design au bord de l’eau donnant sur les docks, moins de 10 minutes à pied de la gare. Il appartient au concept O2 avec un restaurant , une boulangerie, un loueur de vélo, une boutique lifestyle. Son emplacement est parfait pour partir en vélo sur la Shimanami Kaido. Le reste de la ville est en hauteur un peu plus loin. Les chambres sont calmes et confortables.

• Dean (9/5): Nice trendy spot with Euro feel to it - Location was decent with parking next door. There is a little deli/bar/resto that does good pizza and local specialities like lemon curd. Rooms were well kitted out and a good size. Room was painted dark grey and poorly lit so it was difficult to see your things when packing/unpacking. The onsite Bar closed v.early and despite being a guest only missing the closing time by 1 minute the staff wouldn’t serve a drink…but rules is rules I guess!

• Hannah (10/5): Perfect hotel - Everything about it was perfect from the minute we arrived, the staff were so helpful and friendly, the room was great and comfortable, with everything you would need for a relaxing night stay. All the facilities on site were spot on, especially if you are using this as a base for cycling the Shimanami Kaido.

• Sandra (9/5): Leuk en hip maar horeca heeft hier de prijzen uit het westen, behoorlijk duur dus. - Erg leuke locatie, goede bedden, alles aanwezig in de badkamer, zoals , scheermesjes, tandpasta ,tandenborstel enz. Koffie gratis voor hotel gasten, leuke vibe. Ontbijt niet genomen omdat we het qua prijs niet in balans vonden. Helaas als je denkt ik drink wel koffie bij de koffiebar met wat lekkers erbij, dat gaat dan niet lukken omdat die pas om 09.30 open gaan.Na de ontbijt tijden dus 😉 Maar het was wel ontzettend leuk ingericht. De giant fietsverhuur is ook aanwezig in hetzelfde pand. Ideaal !

• Marko (9/5): Ein ganz besonderes Hotel, perfekt nicht nur für Fahrradfahrer - Sehr modernes Hotel, tolles Cycle-Konzept, direkt am Wasser/Boardwalk gelegen, 300m zur Fähre zum Shimanami Kaido. Tolles, umfangreiches westliches Frühstück. Sauber, freundlich - es hätte fast 10 Punkte verdient, aber: die Zimmer sind sehr dunkel, ich musste sogar die Handy-Taschenlampe nehmen, um etwas in meinem Koffer zu suchen. Wir hatten zwei Fahrräder gemietet - Rennräder von Giant/Colnago, eigentlich sehr ordentliche Räder. Leider konnte man bei einem die Sattelstütze nicht ausreichend fixieren, sie ist während der Fahrt immer wieder ganz langsam abgesunken. Beim anderen Rad war das Tretlager etwas locker (oder das Lager defekt). Wie gesagt, bis auf diese Kleinigkeiten - alles super, tolles Hotel. Zimmer zu dunkel, die ausgeliehenen Fahrräder bräuchten etwas mehr Aufmerksamkeit.

I thought it was a bit expensive still, especially breakfast, I wouldn’t recommend for the cost, I think you can get bigger and better elsewhere for less.

The staff were very accommodating and friendly. A bit on the expensive side but worth it I think. this hotel is all things bicycle. we also arranged for them to pick up our bikes at Imabari and deliver them back to Onomochi.

• Catherine (10/5): A spacious, welcoming hotel with excellent breakfast, thoughtful touches, and outstanding staff. - We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel, it was much larger than we expected and exceeded our expectations in several ways. The breakfast was a real highlight: high quality, with a great focus on local produce. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, going above and beyond to help us with a number of things. Even when there were language barriers, they made a real effort to communicate using tools like Google Translate, which we really appreciated. The room itself was excellent, featuring a lovely deep bath, plenty of useful amenities and utensils, and thoughtful touches like chocolates left on the pillow. The location was also ideal for cycling the Shimanami Kaido, making it a perfect base for that part of the trip. Nothing!

• Sandra (8/5): Schönes Designhotel im Hafen - Gemütliches Hotel mit schönem Design, direkt am Wasser. Das Zimmer war gut eingerichtet und wir haben uns wohlgefühlt. Auch das Frühstück war gut. Nichts, alles gut. Allenfalls ein bisschen dunkel.
• Jan-Eric (10/5): Absolut perfekt für Radfahrer – aber nicht nur die - Besser geht ein Radfahrer-Hotel nicht. Hier hat man wirklich alles, was man braucht, das Hotel ist voll auf Radfahrer eingerichtet, die den Shimanami Kaidō fahren wollen. Bis hin zu Colnago Bikes auf Rollen zum Warmfahren im Hotel und Duschen vor dem Gebäude für alle, die schon ausgecheckt sind und sich nach der Tour und vor der Weiterreise frisch machen und umziehen wollen. Auch ein großer GIANT-Bikeshop ist im Gebäude untergebracht, wo man sich Räder leihen oder kleine Reparaturen machen lassen oder Ausrüstung kaufen kann. Aber auch so ist das Hotel ein Volltreffer! Ein altes Lagergebäude am Hafen, stylisch im industriellen Chic umgebaut zu einer coolen Unterkunft. Dazu gehören auch ein auch öffentlich zugängliches Restaurant und ein Café mit Bäckerei, alles ebenfalls sehr zu empfehlen. Wir haben hier jedenfalls einen Tag mit Dauerregen sehr gut verbringen können. Das Frühstück ist ein japanisch-europäischer Mix, es gibt auch Ceareals und Brot, Croissants etc. Das Personal ist super-freundlich, wie überall in Japan. Tipp: Möglichst die Zimmer im Erdgeschoss wählen, die anderen haben, soweit ich das sehen konnte, keine Fenster. In jedem Fall: Höchstwertung, das Cycle Hotel ist uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen und nicht mal besonders teuer, im Gegenteil

• Nicola (10/5): Fabulous stay in a unique building - Fabulous place. Very funky. Hotel set in a big warehouse with a restaurant, cafe, deli, Giant bike shop and boutique shops. It was right on the river. Rooms were spacious and beautifully presented. We also hired bikes for the day which worked well. Highly recommended

• Lori (10/5): Bike hotel excellence! - High class bike resort - phenomenal rooms with private bathrooms, cafe, bakery, restaurant and Giant bike shop. All staff throughout the facility were kind, accommodating, professional and with a common goal to make all guests stay perfect.

Restaurant was good and there are interesting shops and a bakery there too. Well set up for cyclists. Our room was very comfortable but dark and a little damp smelling.

• mathieu (10/5): You need to stay here if you want a place to stay before or after your tour of the islands. - Amazing location, super easy if you rent from the giant store since it is right there. The whole place is superbly designed. The rooms were a bit small but very functional. The dinner and breakfast were great. The staff was super friendly. We are able to leave our luggages there for 3 days without any questions while biking in the islands. Another plus: washer/dryer available on the premise. I’d come back there for sure. Nothing.

Breakfast till 10.00, last order 9.30: we came to have breakfast around 9.45. This was not possible. We had to plee for breakfast, this was arranged but took some persuading!
