• Urban (9/5): Nice tropical cottages near the sea - Nice little cottages. We chose standard room over superior, liked the vibe more. 2 pools and a jacuzzi. Our 1,75 year daughter loved it. The beach not ideal for swimming, very shallow and partially a bit rocky. But still nice :) Quite some mosquitos around our cottage, coud not really use the veranda properly.

Resort also has a lovely pool area. The immediate beach front has very shallow water and not ideal for swimming. Didn't bother us too much as we visited different beaches.

• Da Cruz (8/5): - Breakfast is serviced by friendly staff. The breakfast have a fair amount of choice and giving clients good value for their money. Although it is located as a beachfront resort, the actual beach is very shallow, exposing sandbanks making it non-swimmable it in immediate beach front area. However, it does have a decent swimming pool overlooking the beach.

• Mark (7/5): Great breakfast and lovely staff, but hotel is a bit tired and needs a refresh. Location - ok - View from the pool was great. Breakfast was exceptional and just what we needed. Room was spacious Hotel is a 1-2km from the activity so one has to factor in the cost of taxis to/from the centre. We had to wait for the room to be cleaned which was over 30 minutes after checking time. Communication with the reception was not great. Hotel is a bit tired and needs a fresh layer of paint

• Peter (4/5): Tag okay, Nacht Katastrophe - Sauber, nettes Personal Normalerweise schreibe ich keine schlechten Rezensionen, aber hier muss ich leider eine Ausnahme machen. Das Resort an sich ist sauber und gepflegt und das Personal sehr nett und zuvorkommend, das Frühstück könnte auch für drei Sterne etwas abwechslungsreicher ausfallen. Die Lage ganz am Ende des Chaweng Beach ist ok, der zugehörige Strandabschnitt leider verschmutzt hauptsächlich mit Plastikmüll, dieser Abschnitt wird außerdem von den Locals genutzt als Schiffswrack-Sammelstelle. Jetzt kommt der wirklich unangenehme Teil. Morgens und abends herrscht täglich reger Verkehr, auch und hauptsächlich weil die Locals quasi durch das Resort täglich ca. 15 Jetskis zum Strandabschnitt fahren, mit Traktoren, Trucks etc. Meist 3-4 Fahrten jeweils morgens und abends, was zu einer erheblichen Geräuschbelästigung führt, gerade dann wenn man es gerne ruhig hätte. Außerdem herrscht auch komplett durch die Nacht hindurch reger lautstarker Verkehr, hauptsächlich durch LKW's, Roller etc. Wir hatten leider in zehn Nächten nicht eine ruhige und erholsame Nacht, es war eine absolute Katastrophe.

• John (6/5): It could be nice but needs renovation and better maintenance - and a solution to the mosquitoes - The owner and staff could not be more friendly. The swimming pool is great, clean and well cared for. Room make-up, towel and water supply were fine. We only had one breakfast and a couple of Thai lunch dishes but these were excellent. However, the nearby Chomchan by Lecker Schmecker restaurant is even better: we went there 4 times in the 6 days we stayed at Papillon. Papillon was obviously once a lovely resort but is in decline with dated villas and furnishings and, apart from the pool, a general lack of maintenance. At the far north of Chaweng Beach, it is quite remote (1,7 km walk) from the main centre and, though it seems on Google Earth to have a beach, it really doesn't, except at very low tide, and most of the time a thick mass of seaweed makes the sea rather uninviting. There is a sandbank with better sea access at one side of the resort, but the sand there is rather gritty and the whole area seems to be generally used as a tip for the carcasses of rotting boats and general rubbish. Cleaning this area up and adding a layer of fine sand would make a tremendous difference. Worst feature was that we were eaten alive by the voracious mosquitoes: the resort features underground water tanks in front of the villas. These are in principle covered by stones but there are plenty of broken ones and the water serves as a perfect breeding ground...

Wifi fungerede kun henne ved receptionen. Ikke på værelset. Og restauranten/baren lukker hver dag allerede kl. 19.

• Stefanie (8/5): Eine wunderschöne Zeit auf Ko Samui - Mir hat die Lage, und das gemütliche und familiäre Ambiente ist sehr gut gefallen. Die Lage ist außerhalb, für alle geeignet, die es ruhig wollen. Ansonsten hat man alles, was man braucht . Sehr sympathische Chefin und zuvorkommendes und sehr freundliches Personal. In der Dusche war es ein bisschen schwierig, das Wasser richtig einzustellen, mal kam fast gar nichts. Dann kam relativ viel und kochend heiß. Der Strandabschnitt neben dem Hotel gleicht eine Müllhalde. Hierfür kann die Hotelchefin natürlich nichts. Schade, dass man in Thailand nicht mehr auf den Umweltschutz achtet!!
• DEBORAH (7/5): 2 days were not enough. - The tranquility was great and the staff were very helpful. Very comfortable room with a huge bed. Food was very tasty and cocktails ! If you wanted more action the main town was not far away. Nothing to do with the hotel really but the beach was very dirty but that's just humans and the tide. It was a shame . Didn’t fancy swimming in it .

• קרן (1/5): הייתי ממליצה לבדוק עם המקום מה זה אומר נוף לגינה. אם אין גינה ואין נוף ויש רק מרפסת כדאי לציין זאת ו - צוות העובדים היו נחמדים אבל בעלת במקום לא הייתה אדיבה לא אהבתי שזה נראה היה נטוש, אמרו נוף לגן ולא היה לא נוף ולא גן. המרפסת צפתה לבן גלו אחר במרחק של מטר וחצי מול הפנים. חשוך מאוד, ובעיקר חוסר האדיבות של בעלת המקום שהגיבה בצורה אנטיפתית וצינית.

The bungelow style room was a great size and cleaned daily with fresh towls. The owner Valerie coulnt do enough for you wether we wanted extra pillows, water and sorting our return transfer. Po and the rest of the staff team were friendly, and very accomadating. The food was of a very high standard. The swimming pool was cleaned daily and was a perfect size for the complex. The resort was a very friendly, clean with a chilled out vibe. I have no problem recommending this resort to anyone who desires a happy vacation. Thank you Papillon for a teriffic holiday experience. • Tim (7/5): Locatie top, personeel top, huisje verouderd. - De locatie was top, het personeel super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het zit dicht bij drukke delen maar afgelegen genoeg om te genieten van rust en de zee die wij konden zien vanuit de kamer. Ook was het zwembad mooi en werd de tuin elke dag bijgehouden. Het huisje waar wij inzaten was verouderd, er waren veel kieren waar ongedierte door naar binnen kon komen. Daarnaast was de douche verschrikkelijk. Eigenlijk was die voor meer dan een minuut alleen koud dan misschien 10 seconde normale temperatuur dan veel te heet daarna weer super koud enz. Als laatste waren wij niet te spreken over het veel te harde bed.

• John (10/5): Een super fijne tijd gehad. - Dicht aan zee en uitzicht op zee vanuit het huisje. Personeel erg vriendelijk en zorgzaam en een super goede keuken. Eigenlijk was alles goed. Ok iets verder van het centrum waardoor je wat vaker de tumtum gebruikt. Maar daartegenover is het op het resort erg rustig

• Manon (9/5): - L'hôtel était très calme et avait un cadre idyllique. Le personnel était très accueillant et répondait à nos demandes. On a passé un super séjour ! La salle de bain était mal aérée et sentait l'humidité. La situation géographique, c'était un peu loin des endroits où nous voulions aller.
• Jose (10/5): Ótima - Familiar, senti-me como em casa desde o primeiro instante. Os funcionários, 5 estrelas. Simpatia a rodos, desinteressadamente. A praia, não é apelativa.

• Corrado (2/5): Da evitare - Nulla Il bungalow non era pulito in particolare il bagno era sporco con un odore di fogna insopportabile, con la presenza di ragni.Il mare adiacente alla struttura non è indicato per fare il bagno.

• STEVEN (8/5): Excellent and attentive staff, always cleaning and looking after the property. Great laundry service and basic restauran - Excellent attentive staff, always on hand and nothing was an issue for them. Quiet location and within walking distance to the main centre. Good restaurants nearby. Nothing really stands out.

• Dalia (10/5): Quasi perfetto - Papillon e sicuramente un piccolo angolo di paradiso la piscina e la jacuzzi insaccata in pietra con acqua calda e sicuramente il top. Per non parlare dei messaggi indica al mare da fue stupende femmina . Tornerò !!!!! Sicuramente Che se si sporca un po’ un asciugamano te longammo pagare caro! Not good . Migliorare .
